“Where’d the demon vessel go?” The blue skinned Akatsuki member grumbled. “Hey Itachi-Holy shit!” Kisame yelped when a massive suit of chakra exploded out of the area where they lost sight of Naruko.
Deidara dodged the debris that was thrown around by the giant chakra soldier, “Why the fuck is he using Susanoo?! We’re trying to catch the vessel, not kill her!”
“Something seriously pissed him off!” Kisame yelled as he spotted the furious Uchiha in the chest of the chakra giant.
The Akatsuki member scoffed, “Leave him!” He ordered when he saw hundreds of masked people swarm around like ants as Itachi rampaged.
It looked like ants running out of their hill to kill the attacker. However, each ant ended up getting crushed. Those ants weren’t the main target though. All of Itachi’s attention was on one person. Sadly it seemed to attract the rest of the village.
Right before he could escape a muscular woman came out of nowhere. The incredibly hard hit he received to the face actually made it impossible to use the chakra coils in his eye. That was his only means of getting out of this so now he had no choice but to fight.

“Oh my. This is quite scary.” Yobaba muttered as Barb set her and Yumi in the evacuation zone under the hokage mountain.
Yumi nodded, “At least we’re with good company.” She said as she saw Jade, Sana, a brown haired Naruko and a man in a wheelchair being escorted into the zone by a Leaf Anbu.
Yobaba hummed as she saw the Leaf Anbu leap away towards the battle as if to join the fight, “Not that scary I suppose.”
“I’ll go assist in the fight so it doesn't get any closer.” Barb said as if she was looking after the safety of the old women. She took off in the exact direction as the one Leaf anbu from just a moment ago.
“She wants everything to go smoothly.” Yobaba chuckled softly knowing that Barb wanted to make sure her student, Haru, got out of the village safely.
Jade ushered her group of supposedly scared tourists over to two elders, “It’s getting messy out there.” She commented as Naruko helped Kimimaro hold the breathing mask to help him through a coughing fit.
“Oh my! Is that the hokage?” A random civilian asked and sure enough they were right.
“It must be close to ending now that he’s involved!” Another civilian cheered despite the ground shaking with the power of the fight.
It was only that comment that made Naruko look away from Kimimaro and out the opening of the safe place, “He seems to be strong.” She commented, but before they were ushered deeper into the evacuation site she saw that the hokage was oddly outnumbered. It was like the other ninjas didn’t have his back.

Hiruzen removed his hokage robes as he raced to assist in the fight. He thought he stepped in right when everyone else had managed to push the Akatsuki back towards the edge of the village. However, he spotted Itachi in a full on battle with many strange ninjas. Since the other Akatsuki were the ones fighting other Leaf ninjas he decided to avoid Itachi for now. Right now it was everything else that had to be settled first.
The hokage raced to the middle of the fray and beat back one of the seven orange haired Akatsuki members. It was brutal and to make it worse these particular ninjas seemed to not be real. Once he saw the Akatsuki member using a puppet it hit him. The orange haired men were puppets of sorts so he had to kill the one who is controlling them.
Unfortunately, when he reached this conclusion he was impaled through the shoulder by a rod that was thrown by one of his orange haired opponents. That didn’t stop him, but he almost wished it did because he noticed something else. All of the hundreds of Leaf ninjas were dealing with the other Akatsuki members. No one seemed interested in helping him until several other of the Akatsuki were for sure dead.
Even if they all understood that the orange haired Akatsuki weren’t the real ninja they could help hold the weapons back. However, it definitely looked like no one was even searching for the one in control. Plus, not one person was coming to help him fight.
At some point his fellow ninjas did step in. Sadly, it took actually being pinned to the ground with many sharpened rods and being near death for help to come. Granted, no one really came. Hiruzen only knew someone killed the person controlling the orange haired ninjas because they suddenly dispelled. To add salt to the wound it was only Tsunade who came towards his battered body and tossed a severed head at him.
“The remaining five Akatsuki used a teleportation jutsu to get away. Oh! Itachi was saying something about being a spy, Danzo’s dead body has 28 Sharingans implanted in his flesh, Naruko vanished and Sasuke is dead.” Tsunade reported in a monotone voice and proceeded to almost lazily start healing him.
As Hiruzen was transported to the hospital he saw the faces of his once loyal ninjas. There was no way he could deny it. He lost the respect of the ninjas in Konoha.

“It’s over!” A ninja announced as they ran into the evacuation site.
Despite not caring, the disguised Cave ninjas cheered along with the civilians. Over the next few hours everyone was escorted out of the site. The amount of damage was examined as well, which thankfully wasn’t too bad. In fact, Naruko and her group were taken back to their undamaged hotel. While temporary housing was set up for the civilians who needed it some Leaf ninjas went to report to their sponsors.
“Excuse me, Lady Yumi, Lady Yobaba. Thankfully your home wasn’t damaged. We’ll get you back there.” The ninja said as they helped escort the old women away from the sight.
Yumi hummed, “I suppose you wish to discuss funding to begin the repairs.”
The ninja chuckled sheepishly, “I assume the new hokage will want to discuss that-“
“A new hokage, you say? Even if he dies in battle it seems fast to announce such a change.” Yobaba commented, but she and Yumi didn’t seem as surprised as they probably should be.
The random ninja nodded, “Yes. Normally it’d be fast, but the third hokage decided to retire. With the mess to clean up he didn’t want to waste time with an announcement. Tsunade is the new hokage, but for now we’ll get you both to safety-“
“I will do that.” Barb said as she appeared directly behind Leaf ninja. “Thank you for guarding them until I returned. Oh. They need some assistance in the west temporary campsite.”
“Got it!” The ninja exclaimed before jumping up to and across the rooftops.
After getting back to their protected Konoha house Yobaba scoffed, “Stupid young brat. Now, has everything gone to plan?”
Barb smiled, “My brilliant student has escaped with Kakashi under the chaos. They should be getting in place with Tula as our middle men as we speak.”
“Very good!” Yumi exclaimed cheerfully as she got the tea kettle going. “Only a little bit more to piece together.”
Yobaba smirked as she looked out the window at the hokage mountain, “This may end up being a fruitful investment after all. At least, now that there’s an ally in charge.”

Kakashi blinked in shock, “So … basically this one mission was to get Naruko’s Namikaze inheritance, kill Danzo and cripple the Akatsuki.”
“And remove Hiruzen from power. He just retired.” Haru commented and gave Kakashi a mug of tea that they made over the fire in their campsite. “It’s not done. Naruko needs to get out of there safely first, but that should be easy for a tourist.”
“Depending on who the next hokage is.” Kakashi said pointedly, but raised a curious eyebrow when Haru gave a playful smirk. “Who is it?”
Haru giggled, “Tsunade.”
Kakashi burst out laughing, “Never mind! It should be easy. The remaining members of the Akatsuki are the only ones left now.”
“I haven’t gotten a report yet, but if everything went right then they should be dead too.” Haru said thoughtfully and added some pepper to her tea before sipping it.
The silver haired jonin looked at the Cave ninja and took a moment to ponder that comment, “In one fell swoop your village helped remove anyone who could threaten Naruko … you guys even put an ally in charge of Konoha and basically made it yours. That does benefit your village in the end too. This is all very well thought out. Exactly how long has this plan been in progress.”
Haru hummed, “I don’t know, but there’s really no reason for me to know.”
“She’s right.” The woman with green hair and pink eyes named Tula said as she casually walked into the campsite. “Of course, they only became ninjas two years ago. They were only brought in for this last part. Mary got involved with this specific mission when Sana and Naruko became friends. If I had to guess then this has been brewing once Naruko agreed to go to the ninja academy. Can’t have one of our own running around with a target on her back.”
“That long …” Kakashi mused quietly to himself. “That explains how Yobaba and Yumi had time to build a fortune and reputation. Who’s Mary?”
Tula smiled, “She’s Sana’s mama.” She said before immediately appearing next to Kakashi with a knife at his throat. “And just to be clear she’s my wife.”
Kakashi chuckled nervously, “Understood!” He sighed in relief when the knife was removed. “So what is Mary’s job?”

“Hurry up!” The Akatsuki member with the spiral orange mask snapped as he barely dodged a hit from Jiraiya. “Damn.” He grumbled in annoyance when he saw that Hidan, Sasori, Kakuza and Zetsu were the only surviving members.
Thankfully, he finally had feeling in his eye again so he had a moment to use his own Sharingan and he knew where they’d be safe. After all, their lovely sponsors gave them the coordinates of their main place of business. It hurt a little, but with one pulse of chakra a portal opened up in front of them. The five members escaped through it.
On the other side of the portal they saw a very old forest. That was all their minds could register before their bodies erupted in intense pain. Every cell of their bodies were screaming in agony and somehow it felt like their chakra coils suddenly exploded. The remaining members of the Akatsuki were left paralyzed on the ground and without the use of their chakra.
Barely a moment later four people in long coats and solid black masks walked casually through the forest towards them. For whatever reason these people weren’t affected by the strange pain inducing force that seemed to come from the very trees. Of course, that meant the Akatsuki were sitting ducks.
One by one the Akatsuki members were eliminated at a frighteningly casual pace. Satori’s makeshift heart was stabbed. Hidan was ripped into many pieces and buried under multiple trees. Each of Kakuza’s five hearts were stabbed. Then Zetsu’s throat was slashed and was also burned. At no point did these people pick up their pace. They clearly had no fear of the Akatsuki putting up a fight and knew they were helpless.
The four people with black masks finally stood over the man with the orange spiral mask. You could tell by the way the last Akatsuki member’s eye was gushing blood he was desperately trying to use his bloodline, but the powerful chakra crushing force from the trees wouldn’t allow it. He could do nothing except watch one of the people raise a kunai and swiftly sliced his head from his body.
“Deaths confirmed. Let’s report to Queen Reine.” The leader of the group said and they left the area.
After walking a little ways they came to a valley of stones. At some point they disappeared in the stones and dropped down into a cave system. They easily navigated the pitch black cave and came out into the sun on the other end. Each person pulled off their masks revealing them to be Mary and her three ‘sisters’. When they held their masks up high and twirled them in a very distinct way they received a signal from the cliffs surrounding the island. Not much later they were kneeling in front of their queen.
“Cave Dwellers’ mission to remove the Akatsuki was completed.” Mary said with a respectful bow of her head.
Queen Reine smiled, “Perfect. Proceed to the Konoha middle men campsite. Make sure the hand off happens seamlessly and clean the mess up.”
“Yes, Queen Reine.” The four ninjas said and immediately left …
