Chapter 33

Warning: This chapter contains noncon (AGAIN DX) and graphic, bloody violence.

Kakashi quietly cooked the ramen, his back turned to Naruto as he chopped up the ingredients. The blonde was sitting on a barstool behind the counter, watching his pet carefully. It had been a while since the last time he watched him prepare food. The scene had never lost any its appeal. However, he could see that the older man was getting more and more tense with each passing minute, obviously waiting for Naruto to explode and punish him in the most violent way possible. Naruto smiled. His punishment would be much more subtle and so much more satisfying if he simply beat him. And it would provide great show too. Finally, he spoke:

“So. You and…” he paused at the name “Nagato? It is how he chooses to call himself now, is it? As if it’d absolve him of all the terrible things he has done.”

Kakashi flinched and turned to look at Naruto.

“He knows what he has done.”

“Of course he does, Kakashi-sensei.” Naruto smiled. “I never fail to remind him.” Kakashi looked sickened and he turned away again to continue with the food.

“I have to say that I was surprised.” The blonde continued. “That you would get so attached to a person who almost killed you, who practically levelled this place to the ground. Perhaps I should re-evaluate your loyalty to this village.”

Kakashi turned again.

“I would NEVER betray Konoha!” he protested furiously. At Naruto’s raised eyebrow and cold look, he quickly added “Master.”

“And me? Would you betray me? I am the Hokage. I am Konoha. And most of all, I am your Master.”

Kakashi looked away, as if it pained to admit it:

“Yes, you are my Master.”

“You must be wondering then…” Naruto began “Why are you still in one piece after I caught you kissing someone else.”

Kakashi stiffened, then looked as if he was trying to curl in on himself, even as he was standing – a vain attempt to become a smaller target.

Naruto continued:

“So? Are you wondering?”

Kakashi swallowed helplessly, then finally nodded weakly.

“Aren’t you going to beg for mercy? You do it so prettily.”

“Will it make any difference?” was the quiet, subdued answer.

“No, not really.”

Long silence enveloped them, Kakashi staring at the boiling noodles and Naruto looking at Kakashi.

“After dinner, Kakashi-sensei, I will tell you what your punishment is.”

Kakashi kneeled at Naruto’s feet during the whole dinner, refusing any scraps that the blonde offered him, too worried to be able to eat. On his part, the Hokage appeared to be enjoying his torment as he watched him curling up more and more. Apparently, he expected a physical punishment, and despite having been a jounin for so long and having gone through so many battles, he had come to fear Naruto’s fist and whip.

Finally, Naruto was done with the dinner and he looked at the older man at his feet, reaching to pet soft silver hair. Kakashi didn’t lean into the touch and became even stiffer if that was even possible. Naruto grasped his chin and raised his face, forcing him to look up.

“You expect me to beat you, don’t you, Kakashi-kun?” he asked gently. The hand traveled down and slid under his shirt, spreading his fingers on his scarred back, tracing the markings with his fingers.

“I won’t do that.” He murmured.

The relief that washed over Kakashi was downright obvious, it was as if he was a puppet whose strings had been cut, his tightened and trembling muscles suddenly relaxing.

“I decided that I tend to discipline physically you too often and too much and it is counter-productive.” Naruto paused for a moment, then continued. “However, I have one condition.”

“Master?”

“You prove your loyalty to me, Sensei.”

Naruto leaned to bring his face closer to Kakashi’s.

“I want you to show me just how eager you are to please me. Later tonight, you will bring Pein to my bedroom. You will put him on the bed, and you will take him the way I take you. I want to see a show, Kakashi-sensei.”

The sheer horror written on Kakashi’s features at those words was priceless and Naruto savoured it as if it were the dessert after the excellent dinner. A guttural gurgle came out of the older man’s throat as he suddenly broke in shivers.

“Please… I cannot…”

Naruto shrugged.

“You really want me to think that you are disloyal to me? That you would betray me for that piece of trash?” his crimson eyes narrowed “Should I start searching among those who were your friends for accomplices?”

The mental image of Gai’s and Tenzo’s bloodied corpses was so vivid that Kakashi thought he was about to heave.

“Please…”

“Well?”

Finally the older man nodded weakly.

“Good.”

“Does it have to be today?” he whispered softly. “He’s barely recuperated from this morning…”

“I don’t care about him, Sensei.” Was the mild, calm answer. Too calm. “I wouldn’t have cared even if he was still hanging from my ceiling when you did it – other than that you did not follow my orders to clean up.”

Kakashi had known for a very long time that Naruto cared for nothing but Konoha’s prosperity – as he imagined it should be - and himself. This was the first time, however, when the blonde had said so right in his face – and it still proved to be a painful revelation.

“So, after dinner, sensei?”

He could only nod.

*************************************

Later, Kakashi stood before the closed door of the closet and stared at its pristine surface, trying to gather the courage to go through what needed to be done in order to protect Gai and Tenzo. He had to do this, there was no other choice.

Between choosing their lives and Nagato’s, there shouldn’t be even the slightest doubt what he would chose. That was in theory, at least. In practice, the sheer thought of what he had to do sickened and disgusted him beyond belief.

Yes, Nagato had once been his enemy, yes, he had almost killed him, yes, he had caused so much suffering to his beloved village… But, no. It had been Pein who did this, not Nagato. Despite what the red-head had told him, he couldn’t help but

think of them as two different people. Perhaps he was lying to himself, perhaps he was in denial, but the Nagato he knew was so different than the inhuman being that had befallen Konoha as a mythical beast of an age long past, Kyuubi excluded. The Nagato he knew was nothing but a broken human being, gentle and intelligent and timid, and the red-head had come to trust him so implicitly that he sought his embrace and his touch even after what Naruto did to him over and over again. The thought of betraying that trust was what made him so terribly guilty just to consider his course of action from now on.

Finally, he reached and unlocked the door, pulling it open, staring at the small figure curled on the dirty mattress. He curled even further at the sound of the door opening.

“It’s me, Kakashi.” He said and tried to swallow through the lump in his throat as the figure immediately relaxed. He failed.

“Kakashi-san.” The voice was filled with relief and joy. The red-head stood up gingerly and walked up to him, lifting his arms to touch him – his shoulders, his face, his chest.

“Did he hurt you?” there was so much trepidation in that voice.

Kakashi shook his head before he realised that Nagato couldn’t see.

“No. I’m okay, Nagato.”

Then the red-head hugged him and let out a soft sob of relief. His touch felt scorching to Kakashi, but he didn’t dare to pull away. Nagato let him go, eventually, and then he took a step back and gently grasped the older man’s elbow.

“I need you to come with me, Nagato.” He said gently.

Obediently, the red-head followed him out of the closet and down the corridor into Naruto’s bedroom. Inside, the blonde was sitting, sprawled on a loveseat with perfect view of the bed. He said nothing, only gestured to Kakashi to proceed.

“Undress, please.” Kakashi said.

For a second, Nagato stiffened, then without any protest followed the quiet order. Kakashi led him to the bed and pushed him down, straddling his hips, putting his hands on his bare shoulders. Nagato looked strangely calm. Kakashi felt no arousal whatsoever and briefly wondered if he was even physically capable of doing what Naruto had asked. He reached to lower his zipper and took himself in hand, rubbing his organ. Obediently, his body eventually responded to the mechanical stimulation. His other hand, holding Nagato’s pale shoulder was trembling violently.

He pulled away for a moment and spread the red-head’s thighs wide, settling between them. Strangely, Nagato still appeared completely calm and collected. Kakashi licked his hand and rubbed the moisture over his erection, hoping to make the passage easier and cause less damage. His stomach turned and he had to rub himself again just to stay hard enough. Kakashi didn’t realise that he was making small, terrified sounds until Nagato’s hand found his face and gently caressed it in gentle support.

“Kakashi-kun…” the red-head breathed softly. “It’s okay. Do what you need to do. It’s okay.”

The fact that it was Nagato comforting him broke something in him and he reached to pet the red-head’s face too, forgetting about Naruto’s presence.

“I am so sorry, Nagato. I am sorry…”

His lips found the soft skin of throat and cheek and kissed it as he guided himself with his free hand to Nagato’s entrance, then slid inside with a swift thrust. The red-head tensed for a moment and whimpered, then wrapped his arms around his shoulders and relaxed. Kakashi felt a soft kiss being placed on his temple.

“It’s okay.” Nagato cooed again as Kakashi’s hips began to rock gently back and forth.

He couldn’t do this, realised Kakashi. Not even for Tenzo and Gai, he couldn’t do this the way Naruto wanted him to. Nagato was kissing his temple and hair again, petting him gently, comforting him as Kakashi thrust inside him. Kakashi was whimpering softly and holding onto him, his eyes closed and eyelashes wet with unspilled moisture.

Suddenly, there was a rough hand grabbing his hair and pulling him away from Nagato, up and back until he was completely withdrawn from him and facing Naruto’s furious gaze.

“That is NOT what I ordered you to do, slut!” he growled and backhanded him, then threw him against the wall as if he were a rag-doll. Kakashi crashed against it so hard that all air left his lungs and he was breathless. The world spun and darkened around him as he slumped down, watching in stupor as the blonde climbed on top of Nagato and thrust in roughly, immediately begginning to rut brutally inside of him, his mouth spitting countless insults and expletives, slapping and punching the smaller man. The red-head began to cry under him, lifting his hands to protect his face. Kakashi felt as if he was underwater, all light and sound muted, his heart pounding in his ears.

When Nagato started screaming his name, begging him to help him, to stop the abuse, something in him snapped and shattered and the world returned, bright and vivid and terrible. Next to him by the wall, there was a low coffee table and on it several discarded letters, among them a letter opener.

Kakashi didn’t know how his fist tightened around the makeshift weapon. He didn’t know how he was still capable of moving so fast as he jumped and and was behind Naruto in less than a second. But once he was there, he grabbed a fistful of blonde hair and pulled back, exposing Naruto’s throat. The Hokage was so surprised by the sudden assault by the one he thought he had broken that he didn’t react at all when Kakashi pressed the blade to his jugular and moved his hand with practiced ease, slitting his throat from ear to ear so deeply that he almost decapitated him. The crimson of his blood spurted out in a fountain, splattering all over the Hokage, Kakashi and Nagato, over the bed and the walls and the ceiling, staining crimson evething it landed on.

Gurgling, the blonde reached for his throat and tried to stop the blood, but it gushed out through his clenched fingers, his heart pumping it out of his body with each passing second.

Kakashi allowed the body to fall to the floor and looked down at the red-head, who lay there in mute shock. Even if he couldn’t see, the sounds and the stench of blood must’ve clued him in about what had just transpired.

Kakashi looked down at the body, still convulsing weakly on the floor, the puddle of blood around him ever increasing and soaking in the thick carpeting.

“Well, I am not following your orders anymore, bitch!” he growled and spat on him, dropping the letter opener on the bed.

Everything afterwards seemed to be a blur – grabbing Nagato and pulling him up, washing them both hastily in the bathtub, dressing them as quickly as possible. He took whatever money and food suitable for travel that he could find in the house and packed it in a small bag, along with equipping all the weapons he though he’d need, glad that Naruto was always so damn well-stocked.

The last people he expected to see when he opened the door with his arm under Nagato’s elbow and preparing to flee were Gai, Tenzo and Gaara. He stared at them and they stared at him, taking in his appearance and the small traces of blood that still clung to his pale hair. Then their eyes moved to Nagato.

“I…” Kakashi began but Gai lifted his hand.

“We’ll take care of it.”

“How… why?” he tried to say, but they all pushed him hastily inside.

“When you didn’t come to work today, I finally hand enough.” Gai said. “I know that you wanted me to stay away from you, but me being your friend is more important than what you think you want.” He said and puffed up, suddenly looking like the old Gai all over again.

“So, I went and talked to Tenzo, and we went to the embassy to talk to Gaara. He arrived a few days ago, remember?”

Kakashi slowly looked at the still silent red-head, who nodded to him.

“Where is he?” he asked and Kakashi had to clear his throat before answering.

“The bedroom.”

All three of them marched to where Kakashi pointed and stopped dead in their tracks as they stared inside.

“Kakashi…” Tenzo said weakly, but then his eyes fell on the open chest by the bed, the place where Naruto kept all of his toys. On top was the bloodied bullwhip he had last used on Nagato. They all turned to stare at them then and Kakashi looked down, biting his lips.

“He would never let us go.” Kakashi said softly and moved forward to look at the fallen blonde. The deep gash on his throat was closing slowly. The power of the Kyuubi did its work without a fault.

Gai nodded.

“We need to get you out of Konoha, Kakashi. Now.” He stated firmly.

Kakashi’s hands tightened around the red-head.

“I am not going anywhere without him.”

Tenzo stared.

“You cannot suggest that we let Pein go!” he exclaimed.

“He is not Pein! He is Nagato!” Kakashi yelled back and they all stared at him then. Gai looked like he wanted to slap his forehead.

“You have the worst timing to fall in love.” He muttered.

“You won’t harm anyone, will you, Nagato?” Gaara spoke for the first time. “You cannot, now that the Rin’negan is gone. And even if someone gave you new eyes, it won’t come back.”

Nagato nodded weakly.

“Are you suggesting we let him go?” Tenzo asked sharply.

Gaara nodded.

“If we are to truly become what Naruto envisioned, then we cannot keep prisoners to torture them. This is not justice.”

“And letting him go is?”

Gaara shook his head.

“Let his consciousness be his judge. Without the Rin’negan, he will have to live with the guilt of his deeds. There is no greater punishment than that. It is a prison he cannot escape from.”

Finally, Tenzo conceded the point, but still said:

“How do you know so much about the Rin’negan?”

“I did research in our library. It is very extensive, you know. It was what drove him forward, what gave his madness a purpose and an excuse”

He turned to Nagato again.

“You gave me my freedom once, even if it wasn’t in your agenda to do so. I will do the same for you now. Do not forget it.”

Nagato shook his head.

“I will never forget it.” He let go of Kakashi and despite that he wasn’t steady on his feet bowed deeply. “Thank you.”

Tenzo still didn’t look too pleased, but finally shrugged.

“Gai-san and Tenzo-san will help you leave Konoha. I will stay here with Naruto and wait for him to wake up.”
