Kakashi blinked, “Ooooh right.” He mumbled and his ‘protect Naruko’ reflex moved aside so the pervert in him could make both him and Jiraiya pass out from massive nosebleeds …

“Make sure to put everything away.” Jade said as they woke up in the hotel beds. She saw Naruko and Kimimaro cuddling in their sleepy state, which was easy since they shared one of the hotel beds. “I’m too young to be a grandma.” She teased making both younger ninjas blush and wake up pretty quickly.
Naruko smiled shyly and nuzzled Kimimaro’s chest, “I guess it can wait.” She said before helping Kimimaro get out of bed. “You seem much stronger today!” Naruko exclaimed as Kimimaro stood up much easier than the day before.
“That’s good news!” Tina chirped as she, Nina and Clara crawled out of their bed, which was the hotel tissue box in their room, and took their places as Naruko’s innocent accessories.
“We got a message.” Sana said, revealing that a bug was on the window sill.
As the others got ready Jade went to get it and read it, “Ok … Barb says the villagers are having a curry festival today.” Jade said curiously. “There was no mention of this yesterday. Wonder when this came up.”
Naruko raised an eyebrow, “Curry? Haru’s favorite meal is curry.” She said and she looked at Sana whose mouth was hanging slightly open. “You thinking what I’m thinking?”
A devious smirk came to Sana’s lips, “Oh that bitch would so do this.”
“This could get interesting.” Jade chuckled as she realized what happened. “Even better is that the festival should distract everyone and make it even easier when we use the birds.”
“Time to get some birds and then to explore a festival.” Naruko said and everyone got ready to leave.
Kimimaro was given his scroll too. It was hidden behind the tank that held the medicated gas, which Kimimaro breathed in. This Kimimaro could feed his chakra to the scroll. However, no one would notice anything besides four tourists having fun.
“Very cloudy today. That’ll be nice.” Jade commented seemingly for no real reason, but Naruko and Sana seemed to understand.
As expected their side of the village was far less busy than the day before. The festival must’ve been very big because they heard the commotion from where they were and they were going farther away. After going close to the road that led to the Namikaze compound they tossed a bug on the tree they hid behind the night before and wandered around. After a moment they went into one of the few shops open.
“Damn demon better appreciate the festival.” A woman behind the counter muttered. She didn’t realize Sana, Naruko, Kimimaro and Jade were behind her. Sana managed to give the woman the middle finger before she turned around and realized they were there. “Hello! How can I help you?” She asked, never knowing that one of her customers flipped her off.
Jade looked at the baked goods in the cafe display cases and smiled, “We will take four hot teas and I’ll take a breakfast sandwich. What would you guys like?”
The person behind the counter nodded as she took down the orders, “Excellent! Here’s your number. Have a seat and I’ll bring your order soon!”
They took the number sign and placed it in the center of the table that they chose to sit at. After Naruko removed a chair so the wheelchair could be pulled up, Kimimaro noticed that this cafe had a view of the trees that surrounded the Namikaze compound. Obviously, the cafe wasn’t close to the compound itself, but it was apparently at the top of a hill so they could see the treetops. It was clear that they were monitoring the birds.
“If everyone is up to it then we’ll check out this festival we heard about.” Jade commented casually as she sat down with everyone.
Sana scoffed, “I guess we can take a peek, but I’m not too into curry. Besides, shouldn’t we see what times the hot springs are open?” She said pointedly while playing her part as a tourist and an annoyed family member at that.
Kimimaro hummed, “This festival might’ve changed the times for everything. Wouldn’t we also want to stop back at the hotel to get some of our things before going to the hot springs?” He asked, making sure to play along. However, he tried not to say too much since he knew he wasn’t used to normal conversations. If not for Naruko’s gentle smile he’d think he screwed up.
“That’s true.” Naruko said with a little pout and looked concerned when Kimimaro quickly grabbed his mask right before he was hit by a coughing spell. “Oh and it’ll be packed today. Do you want to deal with those crowds today?” She asked as she helped Kimimaro hold the medical mask over his nose and mouth.
Sana frowned as the coughing slowly subsided, “That doesn’t sound good … maybe you two should go head back to the hotel after we eat and the two of us will do the looking around.” She said as she gestured to Jade.
“Yes. We can figure out the times and see how packed it is.” Jade said and smiled as the food came towards their table.
Every few bites of the tasty breakfast someone just happened to peek out the window. The birds were watched from a safe distance as the bellies were filled. After they finished their meal they paid and walked back down the road closest to the Namikaze compound. The bug they left on the tree was gone.
Sana started whistling a little tune and casually caught something that fell from the sky, “Here is the room key. We’ll go brave the chaos and meet you guys before lunch.” She said as she reached into her pocket and handed Naruko the key to their room.
“See you guys then!” Naruko said as she took the key and gave it to Kimimaro to hold so she could push his chair.
Jade smiled, “Do at least a once over before we get back. It’ll be nice to make sure we didn’t miss anything sooner rather than later. Behave you two!” She exclaimed, making the pair blush slightly before heading out.
It was then Kimimaro noticed more than one thing was subtly given to him. As he and Naruko separated from Jade and Sana he let his fingers subtly examine the items. Of course, one item was the hotel key. The second item was something he recognized almost immediately. It was a fake bug. No doubt it was the bug they left behind only a few minutes ago.
“If I hurry I might be able to transfer the images too.” Naruko said after making sure the door to the hotel room was shut.
Kimimaro raised an eyebrow, “Transfer?” He asked curiously.
Naruko smiled as she hooked up the bug so it would project like the night before, “It’s just a camera bug like the ones you’ve used, but it is made to also connect to these.” She said as she unsealed a set of camera lenses. Each lense had a small USB drive connected to the rim and the black rim could split apart. It was like the device was meant to be thrown and the rim would close around the target. “Just transfer the picture or video to the USB. Pop or throw the special lenses over the security camera’s lense. The security system will see what the USB projects onto the lense. I just need to double check that the number of views match the number of heat signatures. We can’t afford to miss one.”
With both of them diligently watching the footage as it was played they found each camera angle. Apparently, the birds were trained to place the bug on security cameras they see and pretend to eat it in front of the lense. In a split second the bird will snap the button on the bug and take a small video of the thing the camera is looking at. That process is repeated for every camera they find and they get a picture of each actual camera too. .
“It’s confirmed. Each camera model doesn’t have the ability to rotate.” Naruko commented as she used the same map they used to map the heat signatures of suspected cameras. After carefully reviewing the new images she made some new markings that symbolized the direction each camera faced and what is in the field of vision.
Clara let Naruko’s hair fall from the ponytail as she dropped down to see the map, “Oh! Looks like all the cameras are accounted for!” She exclaimed as her smaller fellow spiders joined her.
“Yes!” Naruko said as looked at the map. “Hopefully this will end soon. I don’t like Danzo keeping tabs on Haru.”
Kimimaro frowned as he thought about the bandaged ROOT leader and couldn’t resist pulling Naruko into his lap protectively, “You gave her what protected you before, right? He can’t control you or Haru.”
Naruko nuzzled the warm chest, “That’s true.” She said as she unsealed a little contact lense case. “It’s actually pretty ironic that this has saved me already.”
“I’m thankful for its existence that’s for sure, but how is it ironic?” Kimimaro asked, holding her close.
“It’s a theory I’ve been thinking about since finding these and first using them to protect myself against Danzo’s Sharingan.” Naruko commented as she sealed the little case back into the hidden seal on her arm.
Kimimaro raised an eyebrow, “The old man has a Sharingan of his own?” He pondered curiously. At first he assumed he’d use Sasuke, but apparently not. “Orochimaru would’ve said if Danzo was an Uchiha.”
“I don’t believe he is and the Queen agreed.” Naruko said softly as she nuzzled Kimimaro’s neck. “The theory is that the Uzumakis accidentally let it slip that they were developing seals that could negate any genjutsu including the Sharingan. If that happened and only the Uchiha clan, who was the bulk of the authority at the time, got that information it would explain why the Uzumaki clan never got help when they asked for it.”
Kimimaro sighed solemnly, “The Uchihas probably didn’t want to lose any power so they made sure the Uzumakis were killed … and yet, the information survived to save you from the last clueless Sharingan using idiots. It’s amazing how things have turned out.”
“It is.” Naruko said with a smile as she thought of what has changed. Both Naruko and Kimimaro had similar dark and abusive pasts and they were given a choice. Their lives have changed a great deal after Cave got involved and here they were now. “Oops! I probably shouldn’t have been sitting on you so long!” She gasped when and got off of Kimimaro who started coughing so she could help get his mask.
Clara clacked her mandibles excitedly, “When he’s all better then you can sit on him all you want!”
“Even on his face!” Tina chirped innocently only to blink her eight eyes in confusion as both Kimimaro and Naruko turned bright red and the coughing got worse at that suggestion.
Naruko smiled shyly, “Not a bad suggestion for another time.” She commented before shyly kissing Kimimaro on the cheek. “I … I’ll just transfer some footage to the USB lenses.”
“Was it something I said?” Tina asked curiously and her fellow spiders took her aside to explain. “Oh! It’s a mating position!” The little spider exclaimed loudly. Both Naruko and Kimimaro blushed again. To get over their embarrassment Kimimaro focused on stabilizing his breathing and Naruko focused on the lenses.
With great care labeled each camera spot on the map and each corresponding USB lense. She then hooked the bug up to a portable computer she unsealed and carefully edited the footage. She created a small looping clip that would trick each camera and transferred those to each USB lense.
Naruko looked up when she heard a knock on their hotel door, “Who is it?” She asked and waited for the response that would confirm who it was.
“Sass pot and a walking rock! Who do you think it is? … were you two boning in ther- … Boning! Oh that’s funny!” Sana was heard saying and laughing hysterically.
In an instant both Naruko and Kimimaro blushed as she raced to get the door, “Very funny.” She said shyly as Sana and Jade came in. Once the door was closed she quickly changed the subject. “The birds got everything. I transferred the footage already.”
Tina bounced happily, “And I learned that humans sit on each other’s faces! Is it fun?” She asked the stunned Jade and Sana who smirked evilly.
“We should leave these two alone and get their opinions.” Sana snickered, enjoying seeing the couple blush very hard.
Without a clue on what else to say Jade just chuckled sheepishly, “Let’s focus on what we learned. With the cloud coverage still going strong we could empty the compound before the festival is even done. We didn’t see Haru, but I’ll bet if she set this up she’ll make a show for us if we need it.” Jade said and sent a message to Barb.

Kakashi blinked in shock when he opened the front door and saw a pile of pamphlets on the ground, “What the hell?” He crouched down and skimmed through everything only to find that they were all advertisements for one thing. “A curry festival?”
“Really?!” A disguised Haru exclaimed as she leaned over Kakashi’s shoulder to take a pamphlet. She played innocent as she skipped into the home, but once Kakashi shut the door she smirked. “Naked yoga was more productive than I thought.” She commented casually as she looked through the pamphlet.
“How does naked yoga and curry connect? I’d really like to know.” Kakashi pleaded as his nose dripped blood.
Haru winked, “I opened my bedroom window just to get a breeze, but not enough for the seals to let anyone in. It just so happens that’s when I was doing my yoga and talking out loud about my favorite meal … perhaps someone heard.” She said casually with a smirk. “Pretty sure someone saw something too.” Haru commented, making Kakashi’s nose gush even more blood. “Can we go check it out?”
“Yes!” Kakashi said very quickly.
Tsunade picked that moment to enter the room, “If you leave someone will try something.”
Haru nodded, “Oh I know, but that’s why you’re all coming to watch me. I noticed it’s been cloudy all day so everything might happen sooner than expected, which means the festival alone might not be a big enough distraction.”
“Makes sense. With all eyes on you it’ll only help.” Jiraiya commented as he entered the room with Shizune.
Barely a moment later they heard a knock on the door and when Kakashi opened the door everyone saw Barb, “Lady Yumi and Lady Yobaba wanted to know if you’d like to join them in this festival. They wish to take advantage of the weather while it’s only cloudy.” She said seemingly implying that the old women wanted to avoid the potential rain, but it was clear to them that Haru’s prediction was correct.
Kakashi eye smiled, “That’s a great idea. We’ll all go.”
