Kimimaro looked over at the lovely blue eyed ninja as she unsealed a black uniform and got ready, “Do you have to go? What happens if you’re spotted?” He asked despite them just getting a bug saying that Haru was being watched. Just because some of their enemies’ attention is on the bait doesn’t mean it wasn’t dangerous. Everything could change in an instant.
“I was planning to have Clara, Nina and Tina go with cameras, but we need to know something first.” Naruko said and pulled her shirt off not caring that Kimimaro was right there and blushing brightly. Maybe too much stimulation for him because he started coughing. The blue eyed ninja helped Kimimaro get his mask before she finished putting on the black uniform. “I won’t be getting too close. I promise. Once we figure out what the security system is like we’ll leave and switch to long distance.” She said and kissed Kimimaro on the cheek.
Jade came out of the bathroom with Sana and both were wearing a similar black uniform, “You definitely won’t be. Sana will do a brief scan with her Sharingan, I’ll provide a mist for cover and you will use your wires to move a camera bug around. This will be a fast thing.”
“Ok. Be careful of the cameras.” Kimimaro said remembering the photos that Danzo was lucky enough to get. None of those pictures were clear and they didn’t convince Orochimaru, but they still gave Danzo a reason to suspect something. A camera at a certain angle and distance could put her in danger.
Naruko smiled, “Yeah, we’re not going to pass the tree line. If we stay right behind a thick tree and mom’s jutsu hides us just enough then we should cut off the chances of the cameras seeing us.” She said as Kimimaro calmed down a bit and settled on charging the scroll, the one the Queen gave him, with his chakra.
After Naruko double checked Kimimaro’s vitals the three ninjas put on some civilian clothes over their dark uniforms. The trio casually left as if to get something to eat, but they just so happened to pick a road that took them towards a certain compound. Just like any tourists they bought a few things including funny masks from the shops that were open late and had some fun with their souvenirs.
Once they got to an empty and dark part of the street closest to their target, which was between two streetlights, a dark mist slowly appeared around the tourists. The plastic souvenir bags were set down as the area started to blend in with the darkness of the night. For the most part it looked like everything melted slowly away except for the streetlights. The mist very quickly consumed those lights and stayed there. It looked like the two closest streetlights suddenly lost power and everything began.
Without waiting for an order Sana activated her Sharingan. However, no one would know since she was wearing a pair of large fancy sunglasses, which was a souvenir she bought. With a simple nod they removed their civilian layer of clothing, sealed those clothes away and disappeared against the black mist.
Naruko carefully stepped in the exact spots that Sana pointed out so she knew that no seals were tripped. As they approached the trees surrounding the compound Naruko’s nearly invisible wires carried a fake bug further ahead. To make sure they weren’t seen on a camera they stayed behind a tree and waited.
While under the protection of a few drifting tendrils of the Cave Dweller’s Cloak, Naruko guided the bug slowly past the trees and right up to the gate of the Namikaze compound. Every few inches the bug did a spin to see everything around it. Granted, it was very dark and small wisps of Jade’s dark mist seeped away like a little mist drifting by, but the fake bug was still used. It was taken all the way to the Namikaze gate before the unseen wires made it seemingly fly upwards, twist around and finally fly back.
The subtle black mist receded as the bug returned. Once the tan fingers grabbed the bug and it disappeared into a seal on Naruko’s arm, the trio rushed back with a black mist around them. On the way back they changed into civilian clothes. Jade dispelled the mist the second they were back in place and had their souvenir bags in their hands. It took mere moments to complete the process. If any camera was watching it would have looked like the street lights flickered and the innocent tourists just waited a few seconds for the lights to come back on. It would even hear the crinkle of the plastic bags that were left behind so no one would suspect a thing.
Right after the three ninjas continued down the road they saw something odd coming towards them, “Good evening, ladies! A youthful night for some sightseeing!” A man running towards them on his hands exclaimed pleasantly
Sana blinked just as surprised as her fellow Cave ninjas, “Yes it is … hey, is there a take out place you’d recommend for dinner?”
The energetic upside down man paused in his running for a moment and grinned, “My personal favorite is Ichiraku! They deliver too! A most youthful place!” The man suddenly gasped and seemed to sparkle. “That’s it! I’ll take my beautiful Barb there! It’s casual yet cozy! Perfect for a youthful first date!”
“Thank-“ Jade let her mouth hang open as the man ran right past her on his hands before she could finish thanking him.
Naruko chuckled, “Well … that answers some things.” She said talking about the earlier conversation about what possible interference Barb could have. Sadly, the amusement soon went away and their real goal came back to the forefront.
With the bug on their minds they started walking again and they went to grab four bowls of takeout ramen. In only a few moments the team was back in the hotel room with Kimimaro.
“We got some ramen.” Sana called out as the door closed. However, once the door to the room shut completely she rushed to the small table and caught the fake bug that Naruko tossed to her. “I’ll get the movie started!” She exclaimed with a smirk as she cleared a spot on the wall and lined up the bug right across from the blank wall. With the bug at the right distance she changed it with a little chakra.
Naruko nodded as she helped her mother set up the boxes of ramen, “Almost there. Kimimaro, would you like miso or pork? We also got some dumplings too.”
“Pork.” Kimimaro said as he set the scroll aside and carefully got out of the chair to sit on one of the two beds. He looked away shyly as the three women absentmindedly changed out of the two layers of clothes and into comfortable pajamas right in front of him without missing a beat. It was impressive how fast it happened.
Jade hummed as she looked at the label, “Ok. Then miso for Kurama … this is Sana’s shrimp ramen and here is my veggie ramen.” Jade commented as Naruko handed Kimimaro his steaming bowl of ramen.
“Show time. I set it to slow motion so we’ll get a good look at everything.” Sana said as she grabbed her ramen and settled on the other bed.
That was Jade’s cue to turn off the lights and turn on the bug. As everyone munched on their meal they watched the images projected on the wall. The slow motion of the footage was far more informative than expected especially since it was a heat sensing camera.
“Unfortunately, there weren’t any seals from the compound that extended very far. It would’ve been nice to just activate it and get in, but I only saw detection seals that were tied to alarms or the cameras. Good thing is the seals were only on the ground.” Sana said and paused to slurp up some hot noodles.
Jade hummed, “That's good. Now we can rely on birds and bugs to incapacitate the ROOT cameras.” She said and they counted the heat signatures that looked like cameras as the slow moving footage continued. The cameras were easy to distinguish them from the animals in the area since the Cave Dweller’s Cloak seemed to spook the animals a little so the heat splotches that were high up and not moving must be the constantly running cameras. “Looks like …these cameras are the main ones. If we remove those we’ll have a clean shot to the gate.” She said before slurping up her noodles.
They all watched the heat splotches move across the wall. It was easy to see the cool mist from the Cave Dweller’s Cloak, but the wisps that helped slightly camouflage the bug weren’t strong enough to hide the hotter camera splotches. By the time everyone finished their ramen it was time to start the footage over again and watch it again to make sure they had everything accounted for.
“That was tasty. Who wants dumplings?” Naruko asked as she turned on the lights and put a couple dumplings into her empty ramen container.
Sana handed Naruko her bowl, “I’ll take a couple. Got a scroll?” She asked and caught the blank scroll. She spread the scroll out and started sketching out a basic map of the area around the Namikaze compound. “It’s a good thing Danzo is paranoid at this point. If he only relied on the seals turning the cameras on then the cameras wouldn’t be as hot as they are now.” She said with a mouthful of a dumpling Naruko put in her bowl.
As everyone munched on dumplings they mapped out the position of each camera. To be as detailed as possible the footage was viewed a few times and the location of each tree and seal were jotted down. However, that wasn’t all they were able to get. With everything mapped out they were able to really understand what the cameras could potentially see.
“Ok … we can’t tell which direction they’re actually facing, but even if it faced the dirt path the trees we stayed behind earlier would be a big blind spot and if it faced the gate it’d be easy for a bird to get a bug on it.” Naruko said as she looked at the camera locations.
Kimimaro frowned, “Are you sure none of the cameras are able to rotate or sense motion?”
“Yes.” Sana commented as she looked at the footage again. “There’s a lot of wildlife so it wouldn’t be wise to put motion sensitive cameras in that area. Danzo just doesn’t seem like a guy who will tolerate a lot of false alarms or having a squirrel turn on the camera so someone could approach unseen.”
Jade nodded, “That and the cameras that were taken from the ruins of the Uzumaki compound imply that he prefers stationary cameras and overlapping the fields of vision. Thankfully, he can’t get into the Namikaze compound like he could the Uzumaki compound.”
Kimimaro sighed in relief, “Yes. It’s that angle that caught the blurry photos that captured Danzo’s attention, but wouldn’t he up security after?”
“He did technically.” Sana said as she pointed out the dots on the map. “These are all the seals I saw with my Sharingan … if any of those were stepped on you would be trapped by a powerful gravity seal and would be immediately swarmed by ROOT agents.”
Naruko licked the remnants of her dumpling off her fingers as she examined the map, “if the footage is accurate then none of the cameras are high enough to see over the gate so once we’re in it’s done.” She said as her curious spiders dropped down from their usual perch as her earrings and hair clip and started nibbling on the last bits of Naruko’s ramen.
Clara nibbled a little noodle and clapped her mandibles, “So what’s the plan now?”
“First, we rest for tonight.” Jade said as she picked up her takeout bowl and tossed it into the hotel trashcan. “Tomorrow, when the light is at the right angle we’ll send the bird to do its job. We’ll also get another message to Barb to update her.” She said and immediately wrote a note, which was put in a normal fake bug and set it on the window sill. Moments later they heard wings and a peek between the curtains revealed that the bug was gone.
“And I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to take advantage of the hot springs before the chaos starts!” Sana snickered as she stretched her body.
Naruko smirked, “We are supposed to be tourists so we could have some fun.” She said while sending a playful smile to Kimimaro, who smiled with a little blush.
“Excellent idea … though I’m not sure Haru would agree.” Jade said and chuckled as Naruko and Sana snickered. They knew their friend was probably having some fun of her own.

“Naruko! Put your shirt back on!” Kakashi yelped as he dove through the open window and grabbed the blonde. He literally just got back after his fake dinner with Yumi and Yobaba and the last thing he expected to find was the disguised Haru flaunting Naruko’s body.
“You never know what perverts are watching!” Jiraiya yelled once he saw Haru’s shirtless body near an open window.
Tsunade’s jaw dropped, “You both have no right to talk!” She snapped as she kicked the toad sage before rushing to slam the window shut and protect Naruto’s modesty. “I know you’re pretending to be her and teasing the people outside, but please don’t flash Naruko’s boobs!” She huffed once the window was secured.
Haru laughed, “I wouldn’t dream of it. Naruko was a child when she left so I don’t need a detailed henge to trick them. I only have dyed hair, makeup for whiskers and blue contacts. These boobs are mine.” She said casually, still not bothering to cover up.
Kakashi blinked, “Ooooh right.” He mumbled and his ‘protect Naruko’ reflex moved aside so the pervert in him could make both him and Jiraiya pass out from massive nosebleeds …
