The Desert Rose of Suna
Chapter One Longing
I strode across the burning searing wearing nothing but a sky blue tunic. My parents were poor and had used all their money to pay my mysterious new Sensei. I know nothing of him, only the names of my new teammates, Kisuke Uchiha Toshiro Hitsauya and a demon supposedly, Hiei Jaganshi. I shaded my clear blue sparkling eyes from the harsh glare of the sun as I sat down at our appointed meeting spot. The boys weren't here yet and I was starving, I had not the chance to eat yet. Sighing I lay down trying not to think about the ramen untouched at home.
Chapter two Sasori
I woke to find someone blocking my light, a man wearing a light tan tunic , he had piercing forest green eyes and red hair cut short at the back of his head. "Welcome Akari have you eaten yet this morning?" I shook my head, speechless as I took his hand letting him pull me up. Toshiro handed me a bowl of homemade ramen which I wolfed down eagerly, "thank you Hitsauya." The man inclined his head in acknowledgement. "by the way Akari I'm Master Sasori welcome to my squad." I nodded smiling at Toshiro who smiled back and to Hiei whose red eyes flamed into a fierce glare.
Chapter Three Rivals
As we fell in a routine I realized who in my team was my friend and who was my competition. During sparring Toshiro was calm, collected and became my closest advisor. Hiei on the other hand was fierce and fought to kill, more often than not the Desert Scorpion also known as Sasori had to step in to stop Hiei from killing me. Our rivalry was fierce and dangerous, he often injured me badly but Sasori healed me almost at once, "Master why does Hiei hate me so?" "Akari he doesn't hate you, it's in his nature as a demon don't worry about it." I nodded and leaned against his shoulder, "thank you Master that puts my mind at ease somewhat." Sasori smiled at me and whispered," You're welcome vixen."
Chapter Four Mixed feelings
After Master had healed me that day I felt sick, lightheaded and confused. I had seen sadness and love in my Master's green eyes. I had never been in love before, let alone had a boyfriend before. Sasori sensed my fear almost at once and drew back, "is something bothering you Akari?" I nodded, "Master I have never kissed a boy before." Smirking Sasori took my chin in his hand, tilted it upward kissing me full on the lips. "There now you have Akari." Blushing peach I didn't realize we were being watched by the person who was crushing on me big time, Kisuke Uchiha.
Chapter Five Kisuke's Pride
The next day as I walked toward my team, I felt hurt and anger emanating from the Uchiha along with the usual killer intent from Hiei. Toshiro met me as I approached, "you really upset Kisuke Akari." I looked at him confused, "what did I do?" Kisuke raised an eyebrow, strode over to me and punched me hard in the nose. "You broke my heart by kissing him!" he raged, gesturing to Sasori who had closed his eyes. I gasped, "Kisuke do you like me?" Kisuke avoided my eyes and went quiet. The silence however told me all I needed to know.
Chapter Six Healing
"Kisuke look I'm sorry this is all a misunderstanding, I just wanted my first kiss." Kisuke looked up, hope in his onyx eyes. "Really Akari?" I nodded smiling, "right now that you feel better Kisuke get to training." Sasori commanded firmly. Grinning Kisuke took my hand, "come on Akari you need a change of pace how about training with me today?" I nodded taking his hand and letting him lead me away. Sasori smiled at our retreating backs, eyes twinkling with happiness. He then put Hiei and Toshiro together for a sparing match.
Chapter Seven Date
Kisuke and I had become friends after I had cleared up the "incident" his liking of me had become a lot more obvious. Kisuke often blushed around me and was a pervert most of the time. While the whole village ridiculed and made fun of the Uchiha for being nice to a girl I loved it. "Akari will you go out with me?" Kisuke came out with it one morning on the way to the sparring field. My face lit up in a big smile that set my eyes afire with topaz as I jumped and latched onto him forcing Kisuke to hold us both up, "oh yes Kisuke Uchiha I will go out with you!" smirking he spun me around lifting me up and French kissing me. Laughing as Kisuke put me down I gleefully dragged him to the team meeting spot.
