G.P.: Hello everyone. I hope this chapter explains a bit of why Naruto wont leave the school yet.
WARNINGS: Bullying, hateful words, gay bashing and schemes
I also wish to note that some words that I will use in this story I do not like. They do not show my view on certain issues. I support gay marriage, I have a lesbian cousin. I myself am more Pansexual(I see the inner beauty and not the gender) but you can call me bisexual.
I dislike discrimination of any kind. I grew up in the south of America…There are a lot of hateful people here. So I greatly dislike it and try to smile at everyone I see…You never know what a smile might mean to a person, especially if they had a bad day.
I did not mean to do a mini rant. I am so sorry!!! On with the chapter!
The Bet that Changed Everything

Neji lay in his bed next to Gaara hoping he had gotten his point across to Sasuke. He would not allow him to use Naruto. Sad thing is, if Sasuke showed interest in him, and laid down the law, Naruto would do anything for him.
That damn blonde had a heart that was just too gold and big for his own fuckin’ good. He loved helping people, and loved making them smile. But what made Sasuke different was that, Naruto had been in love with him for years now. Ever since they had met in the kindergarten Naruto had liked Sasuke. It wasn’t until they had become about twelve years old that Naruto realized he loved him.
Sighing gently he snuggled into Gaara’s chest, relaxing. “Tomorrow is Friday…we should have Naruto come stay with us for the weekend. I sense something bad is going to happen.” He spoke softly to Gaara who peeked his eyes open to look at him.
Though Gaara said nothing, Neji knew he agreed with him. “He can sleep between us like when we were younger…”
This made both boys smile a bit. When they were younger, they hadn’t gotten along at all. Naruto used to sleep between them to keep them from fighting. They used to fight over Naruto because they both wanted to be his friend. Too protect him from the harshness they knew would happen.
Naruto was the light in the darkness that guided you out. He was the one who made everyone in their group become friends. Each of them would admit that Naruto just had this light about him, they helped and changed people. Yet, even Neji doubted that he could change the ice king of the school.
It was all because Sasuke had returned his glasses when some playground bullies had stolen them. He didn’t tease him about being just a little slow in reading, when it came to reading in front of the class. Sasuke even once gave little Naruto half his lunch when someone, Karin, took it smashed it, threw in the mud, then left it there. All because Naruto had said that she shouldn’t wear a skirt that went about her knees.
It was only because when she would bend slightly it went up and you could see her panties. It had been her favorite skirt, and she didn’t want to part with it.
She learned real quick why he had told her why she shouldn’t wear it, when a boy giggled at her for having bunnies on her panties. It embarrassed her to the point she wore her jacket around her waist to hide her skirt.
Neji allowed sleep to take hime as he breathed in his boyfriend’s scent. It caused him to relax as he laid there. Before he let sleep take him, he prayed to whoever was out there, that Naruto remained safe. Finally darkness over took him as he gave a small smile.

The next day Neji was dressing smiling gently to Gaara who looked a bit annoyed. Naruto called while singing Give me everything tonight. It was because it was Friday, but that was not why he was annoyed. Naruto singing made him, and Neji smile.
It was so rare for him to do it, and he was so good at it. He was annoyed because Juugo had called early to inform Neji Suigetsu was planning something with Karin, Kabuto, Kidomaru, and the twins Sakon and Ukon.
That was not good. They didn’t even speak to Kabuto, Kidomaru and the twins often. They brought nothing but trouble. They were lackeys of the weird chemistry teacher Orochimaru. Some people thought he experimented on people, and sold drugs. They usually stayed away from them. Whatever it was they were planning, Neji would put a stop to it.
They separated to go to their groups. Gaara was going to Naruto’s house to get him. When he got there, Naruto was dressed and still singing. It made him smile seeing his best friend smiling. When they met up with the others, they had reached the school gates. “Grab somebody sexy,” at that he grabbed Kiba and began to dance against him.
Kiba barked with laughter, as they walk through the gates. Actually the others were walking, Naruto and Kiba were dancing their way through the gates. Kiba had his hands on Naruto’s hips moving with him, while grinding against him. Both boys were having fun, since it was all in fun and not sexual.
Kiba had a crush on Naruto at one time, but found another to crush on. Kiba pouted when Naruto left him, then laughed seeing his next target. Naruto grabbed onto Gaara as Neji walked up.
“Excuse me. Excuse me, but I might drink a little more than I should tonight. And I might take you home with me if I could tonight. And baby, I'm-a make you feel so good tonight. 'Cause we might not get tomorrow” He was dancing wit his back to Gaara, but his head turned a bit, to speak into his ear.
Giggling he pulled away to see Gaara blushing lightly. Neji smiled softly, starting to laugh a bit. He hugged Naruto gently. “If you take him home tonight, you have to take me too, remember?” He whispered to a blushing Naruto. The blonde giggled, “Of course Neji. I’d never take Gaara home with out you!”
Shikamaru and Choji had watched the exchanged and chuckled a bit. It had been weeks since Naruto sang. When Neji released him, Kiba threw an arm over his shoulders as they walked to their tree. They ignored the looks, and whispers. Naruto was in a good mood because of a wonderful dream he had, but he wasn’t about to tell them that.
Neji was well aware a certain raven was watching them. He sat in Gaara’s lap leaning on him a bit, while Naruto got pulled into Kiba’s lap. Shikamaru was massaging Naruto’s legs gently, as he leaned on Choji. All because Naruto’s legs were on Shikamaru, not that he minded. They were all just relaxing before they had to go face the hell that was high school.

Sasuke had watched Naruto and his group as they had entered the gates. A small smile tugged at his lips hearing Naruto sing. He wanted to really smile seeing the blonde dance. Something tugged at him, when he heard the words spoken to the red head. Still it was a cute sight.
He wanted to find out what it was that made Suigetsu want to push things too far, Neji wanted to just protect the little blonde. Neji was not an affectionate person, he was an out right jackass! But here he was wanting to protect the blonde from Sasuke. Why? What was it about the blonde that made them do this?
Naruto was like a light, he supposed. A light that guided people to do things. Shaking his head he turned to face his friends. Karin looked pissed off, Suigetsu was staring at Naruto in a hungry fashion, Shino was off to the side with Juugo. Both of them did not look like they wanted to be there. Sasuke couldn’t blame them. He could barely tolerate Karin and Suigetsu.
Sasuke was not one to toy with emotions, if he didn’t want a relationship he would tell you straight out. He would tell you what he wanted, and he didn’t want to date anyone. They all knew this. He didn’t mind hurting peoples feelings, but he would never just toy with their emotions.
One time, Karin did it to get something, and he actually smacked her! Now, he was not one to hit women, but he felt she deserved something for doing what she did to the poor boy.
‘Did Neji think I would toy with Naruto’s emotions? If so, why? With the way Neji was acting you’d think Naruto was in love with him. Wait. What? No, that couldn’t be.’ Shaking his head lightly he tried to shake those thoughts. Sasuke looked back at the blond, in Kiba’s lap looking peaceful.
‘Could that blonde nerd be in love with me? Could he be a virgin too? That is the only reason Neji would ever say such things to me…But if that is true then…If the other’s found out.’ He stopped, feeling his heart clench. No, there was no way he could let them find out his theories. If they did all hell would break loose.
He may be a loser, and bullied, but there no way he was going to make it worse. If Naruto was truly a virgin like Sasuke thought, there was no telling what the bigger boys would do to him.
Sasuke didn’t even want to think about if the girls found out he liked Sasuke. Sighing gently he shakes his head again, trying to clear his head. Still the blonde invades his mind, making him trying to figure out the mystery of him.
‘That is the only thing that would cause Neji to tell me he was off limits. Naruto is a virgin and in love with me. But how is it that he got Neji on his side in the first place? And the Subaku kid who everyone thought would end up in jail by the time they hit middle school.’ There was only one thing Sasuke could do to learn the answers. He had to get close to Naruto, but how?

Suigetsu knocked Sasuke from his musings, as two white headed twins, a boy with long white hair in a ponytail, and a man with black hair in a spiky ponytail walks up.
“What do you want Kabuto? Can’t you see we are busy not dealing with you.” Sneered Sasuke as he looked at them. Something felt very wrong. Why were they talking to them now? Orochimaru had no business with him, not anymore.
Kabuto just smiled at him, adjusting his glasses slightly. “You see Sasuke…We are here to ask for a bet. Because you see…We heard you could bed anyone you wanted…” Sasuke raised an eyebrow at him. Wanting him to get to the point.
Though he got a really bad feeling about this. “We want to see if you can bed the loser over there. The blonde with the whiskers. That is if you can past his bodyguards…Can you make him fall in love with you to the point he’d do anything for you? I bet you can’t even make claim him as yours…” Sasuke stared at him, frozen.
What the hell was he talking about. “If you lose you have to do everything Orochimaru tells you, if you win…well…You can do anything you please.” Juugo and Shino looked at one another worried. Just when Sasuke was about to say something, Karin cuts in saying she didn’t wan her Sasuke-kun touching her lower then trash fagot cousin. This made Sasuke’s blood boil. For one thing, he did not belong to her, and two she knows how he hates that word, fagot.
He glared at them all, “I am not taking this bet. Just leave.” Kabuto smiles a very sinister smile. “Oh? Well I guess I will just have to get Suigetsu to drag him to Orochimaru then. Won’t that be fun?” Sasuke freezes, looking at him.
No, that little blonde did not deserve to go to Orochimaru. He knew there was nothing that the blonde’s bodyguards, as Kabuto called them, could do about it. That is, if it happened. Damn it all to fuckin’ hell, he was in a bind.
So he does the only thing he feels he can do. He accepts the bet, if only to protect the little blonde. Swallowing hard, he knew he had to tell Neji, whom was watching them. Neji would know exactly what to do.
“Oh…By the way Sasuke. Do not tell anyone who was not here about the bet. You do, and you can say bye to bye to your freedom, and Naruto’s freedom. Plus I want video evidence of you bedding the little blonde whore.” With that he was gone. Sasuke was fuming on the inside as he watched Kabuto walk away. Now what the fuckin’ hell is gonna do!?
‘Maybe I can some how get a message to Neji or Itachi. I was told I couldn’t tell anyone…but the others weren’t told that. Fuck! Karin wouldn’t tell anyone because she’d want to see Naruto crushed, and Suigetsu wouldn’t say a word because he would love to have the opportunity to have Naruto. That would only leave Juugo and Shino.’ Looking to the two boys he sighs.
They couldn’t flat out tell Neji about the bet, for fear of the consequences but they could warn Neji that Naruto was in danger. Sighing he walks away from the group, ignoring them all. Juugo and Shino quietly follow him, as if sensing what he wanted. When they got in front of the group they were greeted with glares, except from Naruto who was sleeping.
Shino froze in place just staying at Kiba, a blush creeping onto his cheeks though no one could see it because of his high collar. Juugo looked around then motioned to Neji who got up and walked to him with a slightly annoyed look. Softly he speaks into Neji’s ear. “Orochimaru….Kabuto…Naruto…..Sasuke..” It was a bit of a mess, but Neji put things together well almost.
Neji figured Orochimaru had Kabuto force Sasuke to do something to Naruto. But what, and why? He would keep an eye on Sasuke and Naruto. No way was he allowing the little ball of Sunshine get hurt. Glaring slightly at Sasuke, he had thought he had gotten away from Orochimaru. What had that snake done to make Sasuke do what he is doing?
Naruto had woken up, and was looking at Sasuke a soft blush on his cheeks. Sasuke had to force his own cheeks not to heat up. The blonde was cute. Really cute, he would look cuter…Shaking his head, he forced all thoughts away. “Hey dobe….I came to see if you would like to be friends with me, Juugo and Shino…” It was softly a bit nervous.
Naruto looked up at Sasuke blinking his big beautiful eyes slowly for a few moments. Then a large beautiful smile spreads across his face. “Sure…” Neji was friends with Sasuke, so it should be okay…Right? Still Naruto felt he should be on guard. Something didn’t feel right, the look in Sasuke’s eyes told him the other boy was worried about something. What he didn’t know.
Maybe when they got to really trust each other, Sasuke would tell him. Neji gently frowns but doesn’t say a word as he sits on Gaara’s lap once more. Softly he whispers to the red headed boy who clenches his fists.
He would be on his guard now, making sure no one was watching them. Slowly Sasuke sat down in front of them, Juugo sat and watched the birds. Shino hesitantly sat down so that he could look at Kiba with out anyone noticing.

A few hours later, Sasuke had everyone leaving Naruto alone. No one dared disobey him, even his fangirls heeded his words. Naruto smiled at him, and even offered him a hug when Sasuke helped him up after he tripped. Hesitantly Sasuke took the hug, gently patting his back. He felt warm, and Naruto formed to him just right.
No one had ever just fit perfectly against him, like Naruto did. He felt something in him, something that told him Naruto was special. Once the hug was over, which was two seconds later, Sasuke gave him a small smile. Which had caused the little blond to blush brightly. It was easy for Sasuke to see that he was taller then Naruto by a head. He was just the right side, to hug from behind, and place his chin on his head.
Shaking his head gently he went back to running laps like their gym teacher had told them. He didn’t know why his heart racing from the hug. It should be racing from the running, which it was. But it had been racing more when he was hugging Naruto. He could not wait to go home. Then he would have a chance to think.

Once school was over Sasuke was heading home when he was stopped by a voice calling to him. It was Naruto with Gaara and Neji with him. Shikamaru and Choji had to get home to do chores. Naruto smiled to him, and asked if he wanted to hang out. Kiba came running up to them grinning. He had gotten a B on a test he had been dreading.
Sasuke thought it over before nodding his head. “Sure we can all hang out…How about my house?” This made Naruto smile brightly. He hadn’t wanted to let his new friends see his house anyway. At least not yet. It was just a small apartment, but it was a bit dingy though he tried his best to keep it clean. Shino was at Sasuke’s side the moment Kiba heard that they were hanging out at Sasuke’s house.
Neji bites the inside of his cheek so that he wouldn’t say anything. He just walked with them to Sasuke’s home. When they arrived Naruto’s eyes grew wide. “You home is very beautiful Sasuke,” he says gently. Sasuke gives him a small smirk before letting them all in. “Thanks.”
Gaara wasn’t surprised having seen Neji’s home, as they switched houses to sleep at daily. Kiba slung an arm onto Naruto’s shoulders, as he nudged him with his hips. “This place would be great for a party…You should see Naruto dancing…” It was soft, but heard by them all. Naruto blushed brightly, Neji whacked Kiba upside the head. This made Sasuke curious.
‘Maybe Naruto will show me some of his moves sometime? I’d like that…’ He thinks glancing back at them. “I’d like to see them sometime…My Older brother isn’t home right now so make yourselves at home.” It was a well known fact that Sasuke’s parents were dead. Slowly Naruto moves to sit as everyone else had already sat down. He felt a bit grungy, but Gaara yanked him into his lap so he sat down.

G.P.: That was seriously a hard chapter to write. I had a serious time figuring out the bet and how to go about it. It wasn’t easy to do! Nor was it easy to do the interactions with Sasuke and Naruto. Okay everyone, do you want Kiba and Shino to be together or just really cute friends? Hinata is off at a private school so she will not be in this fic.
I really wanted to add a bit of humor to an otherwise tense chapter. Also to the reviewer who said Neji needs to bitch slap Sasuke…All in due time my fine reader.
