Chapter 2: Differences Recap:
Naruto, Sakura, and Sai re-introduce themselves. Sakura using shopping as a way to buy time for Shino, Hinata, and Kiba to remove things that would remind Naruto of his past. Sakura and Sai noticed that Naruto was different than normal. Soon, Tsunade has them go on a mission. Yamato noticed that Naruto seems more like Shikamaru since he actually thought ahead while he defeated the ninjas from the Land of Soil. Now, the news of Naruto's "cliff dive" has spread to someone Tsunade didn't want to know.

Chapter 3: The Forbidden Topic
Sasuke had just returned from a mission when Orochimaru laughed. Sasuke was use to hearing Ochimaru's evil laugh but this laugh was different. It was a laugh of pure joy. "Is it really true Kabuto?"
"My sources say it is undeniably true," Kabuto answered. "Naruto Uzumaki fell off of the Hoiran cliff (yeah, I made it up just now). They say he woke up, but something about him is off."
"And you have no idea what that is?" Orochimaru was interested for once in Naruto.
"Only a few ninjas and the Hokage know," Kabuto smirked. "Some think that Naruto is dying and that's why he's so different." At this, Sasuke placed the scroll he had retrieved on the floor then rushed off.
"It seems he still wants to kill Naruto himself," Orochimaru said. Both him and Kabuto had known that Sasuke was listening to them.
'That may not be it,' Kabuto kept this thought to himself.
Sasuke was on his way to the hidden leaf. He was unsure why he wanted to see Naruto. He just had to. His thought went back to the memory of the nine-tails. "Do not kill Naruto or you will regret it" the Kyuubi had said. What did he mean? Was Naruto important to achieving my goals? All Sasuke did was question himself and his memories. Then, he sensed it. Naruto's chakura. It was different, but only slightly. Sasuke could tell that Naruto grew stronger after his fight with those two akatsuki members. 'Eden and Hakusu I think.' (it's Hidan and Kakuzu, Sasuke :p) but Sasuke doesn't really care what their names were. He could only think about seeing what else was different about Naruto.

"Naruto," Sakura said looking at the fire then at him. "I know that what you did back there was right, but you need to be careful."
"It's fine Sakura," Naruto said. "I can still use all of my jutsu. Lady Tsunade said not to use that shurikan jutsu. I won't since it was an order from the Hokage."
"Still, you did just fall from a cliff," Sakura began.
"Sakura," Sai interrupted. "Naruto will be ok. We are a team so we can protect each other." Sai smiled.
"Have you been reading again?" Sakura laughed.
Sai pulled out a book called guide to true friendship. "There's a chapter on teamwork that is very interesting." He put the book away.
"But still..." Sakura continued only to be interrupted again. This time it was Yamato.
"Sai is right Sakura," Yamato said. "Naruto will be fine."
"Will he really?" A voice came from above them. Sasuke had moved closer to the scene.
"Sasuke," Sakura mumbled. Naruto did not hear Sakura call out Sasuke's name. he quickly pulled out a kunai and attacked. Sasuke blocked the attack by using the hilt of his sword.
"Still quick to attack, Dobe," Sasuke smirked.
"Sakura," Naruto did not remove his gaze from Sasuke. "Friend or foe?"
Sasuke chuckled. "Very funny, Dobe. And here i thought you wanted to bring me back." He kicked Naruto into a nearby tree. Naruto landed on his feet as if nothing happened. he stared at Sasuke.
"Sakura?" Naruto repeated.
"So concerned about Sakura, are we?" Sasuke moved behind Sakura. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Well Naruto?" Sai sent some ink tigers at Sasuke who dodged. He landed in front of Naruto. "It seems I'm not welcomed." Sasuke sighed. "However, that makes me sad, Naru-chan."
Naruto stared at Sasuke. "Who are you?"
Sasuke frowned. "That's mean Naruto." He teleported behind Naruto, but Naruto was just as fast. Naruto's kunai hit Sasuke's blade. Sasuke smirked as Naruto looked up into his eyes.
"Naruto!" Sakura yelled watching Naruto fall unconscious and into Sasuke's arms.
"Well, this has been fun," Sasuke picked up Naruto and held him princess style. "We should be going now. Good bye, Sakura." With that, Sasuke disappeared taking Naruto with him.
"Naruto!" Sakura fell to her knees in tears.

"It seems he has returned," Orochimaru grinned. "And with a guest."
"Naruto," Kabuto murmured.
Sasuke placed Naruto on his bed. Then he brushed Naruto's hair away from his eyes. He stared at Naruto. "Why did I bring him here?"
"That's what I want to know." Orochimaru stood in the doorway with Kabuto behind him.
"He doesn't look so good," Kabuto walked over to the sleeping Naruto. Sasuke did not notice that Naruto's head wound had opened. (it happened when Naruto's head hit the tree). Kabuto put his hands over Naruto's head and began to heal him. "I'm surprised Tsunade didn't fully heal him."
Sasuke looked at Kabuto then back at Naruto. "Will he be ok?"
Kabuto smiled. "He'll be ok."
