This one is a bit late and I apoligize; I 'm just warning you now. Naruto tells his previous life to Minato and it is going to be angsty. Anyways I wrote an apology fic for you guys because this is so late; we've been having connectivity problems. It's a oneshot with a very rare pairing. It's called Winter Dusk and I hope you guys will like it too. Anyways tissies ready every one; this one's a tear jerker I think. ---------------------------- Minato stared at the back of Naruto as he moved away; Minato couldn't move. His breath froze in his chest painfully; his son. His son was a Jinchuuriki? It hurt him to think what Naruto must have suffered through. Rage filled through his entire being; he was going to murder the person who sealed a demon in his child and kill him slowly and painfully. No one deserved a life filled with so much distress and now he had an explanation why Naruto was even wary towards his affections and why he seemed to savour every bit of love he could get. His heart was breaking; those eyes. He had seen the panicked expression move across Naruto's features as he ran; he wanted nothing more than to assure Naruto that he loved him regardless of what was sealed within him. "Minato-sensei?" Kakashi's voice dragged him back from his frozen state; his heart still beating loudly in his ears as the revelation finally hit him. He needed to move; Naruto needed him right now. "Kakashi; I'll see you at training tomorrow. Don't be late and the same goes for you Obito." Minato said with a finality in his voice that stopped all protests from forming on his students lips. Without looking back he jumped from the stadium stands and focused his senses on finding Naruto. Concern flashing trough him as he felt Naruto's chakra spike in response to his emotional state. He pushed himself harder and faster as he ran from rooftop to rooftop; his speed now a testament to his movements. 'The yellow Flash.' He snorted; really if he was the yellow flash then what about Naruto? As far as he could see, the young shinobi had as much affinity to speed as he had. He steeled his resolve; he needed to know the life Naruto had. He needed to be assured that Naruto had at least lived a life that made him happy and if not then Minato would make sure that everything he did was for his child. His breath came in subtle pants as he located Naruto's chakra; a slight change in his path and he headed straight for the Hokage Mountain. Not understanding exactly why Naruto would go there. 'All I wanted my entire life was to be acknowledged and I've decided to allow you to be privy to my entire past; sixteen years of hatred, pain and utter loneliness . So please; this is for you and only you.' Minato's breath froze as Naruto's words washed over him again from earlier. He had sensed the sadness in those words but it was only now that he understood exactly the pain behind those words. Biting his lip to stave off a frustrated growl; he nearly chocked when his mind picked up on Naruto's distress nearly a hundred metres from his destination. In his mind's eye he could see flashes of several unfamiliar images, some people he recognized but they were all older than they were now. One even looked a lot like Fugaku but he had never seen such cold eyes on an Uchiha before. He stalled for a few seconds; the pain he felt rolling off Naruto was affecting him immensely. He wasn't sure how to approach this situation but he knew that Naruto needed to be reassured that Minato hadn't rejected him. When he finally reached his destination, he easily spotting Naruto's distinctive blonde hair and black and red cloak. Not for the first time did he wonder what the scroll contained; Naruto seemed to covet the scroll as if it was something extremely important to him. It was just another thing he wanted to find out about Naruto; the list seemed to be growing bigger by the minute. 'I'm sorry; Dad. I'm so sorry! I never meant to tell you! I-I r-really never meant for you t-to f-f-f-find out.' Stuttering words made Minato turn his unwavering attention back to Naruto. Those words; Minato's breath hitched as he rushed forward; not even hesitating as he immediately wrapped his arms around Naruto's curled up form. He never knew a body could become so small so he pried Naruto out of his ball as he pressed Naruto against his chest and dragged him into his lap. Trying to remember how his mother had often comforted him as a child; he gently rocked back and forth, showering little kisses on Naruto's golden hair. It was saturated with Naruto's scent; earthy, sweet and a definite smell of comfort and the small reminder of clothes detergent only added to his enjoyment of the scent. The distinct smell of grapefruit and litchi made him wonder just what shampoo Naruto used and whatever it was it smelled really good on Naruto. 'Please don't hate me; please...' Minato was snapped out of his haze; frowning when not so innocent thoughts rushed to the forefront of his mind. Shaking his head he gently stroked up and down Naruto's back in hopes of calming the soft sobs he felt wracking Naruto's body. 'It's alright Naruto; I can never hate you. Never; don't ever doubt that.' Minato cooed softly; his own eyes misting in tears. He could feel Naruto's tears soak the front of his shirt as well, yet he couldn't find it in him to care. The whispering wind around them was picking up and Minato felt a sudden chill settle over him. Minato didn't know when he had finally managed to convince Naruto that he could never be able to hate Naruto but he felt his heart slowly calming; the younger shinobi calmed in his arms. The feeling was slightly satisfying for him so laying several kisses on Naruto's forehead, closed eye lids and the tip of his nose; Minato tightened his hold on Naruto. He didn't want to let go so carefully he stood up; picking Naruto up in his arms as he moved towards his apartment. Naruto's dazed mind had finally seemed to calm but he could still feel the slight doubts that lingered; so Minato tightened his grip. Reassuring Naruto that he wasn't going anywhere. 'I'm taking you home Naruto but please I want to know everything about you.' Minato felt Naruto shift in his arms. Scared blue eyes looked up at him but Minato didn't relent. He repeated his words with sincerity. 'I want to know everything Naruto; every single event in your life. So that I can help you; please will you tell me?' Minato said seriously. And he wasn't laying either. No; he wanted to know everything. Minato had already made up his mind; he was going to stay with Naruto no matter the heartache that would face them; Minato was going to finally allow someone in his heart that now meant the world to him. Nothing was going to stop him; absolutely nothing. At those words he felt Naruto shift in his arms as blue eyes were still connected with his. He could see the flash of fear in Naruto's eyes. 'Everything?' Naruto's voice was slightly panicked and in order to calm him; Minato pressed another kiss to Naruto's soft lips. Giving a gentle and reassuring smile. 'Everything Naruto; you are my beloved son and I want to know everything about you.' ~ Naruto felt his panic settle slightly as Minato finally wrapped his arms around him. Naruto didn't know how many times he apologized and begged to be forgiven and yet Minato only reassured him that he was not hated. The feeling of a strong chest against his back and the comforting movements of rocking made Naruto finally calm. He finally felt loved and Naruto couldn't help but want to return that love but he didn't know how. So he allowed the comforting touches to calm his raging panic and soon he felt himself leaning into Minato's touch as much as he possibly could; giggling at the soft sensations of Minato's butterfly kisses across his entire face. Naruto shivered lightly as he felt Minato's lips against the back of his neck; the touch was so intimate that it made Naruto's heart flutter. Distracting him so much that he nearly missed the next words that Minato spoke. 'I want to know everything Naruto; every single event in your life. So that I can help you; please will you tell me?' Naruto froze; panic lancing through him; was he going to able to tell Minato everything? Oh; God. Everything that happened in his life? Naruto turned desperate blue eyes towards Minato. 'Everything?' His voice sounded weak even in his mind. It was then that Naruto realized that Minato was willing to go that far to show him how much he loved him. Somehow that made his heart swell just dread settled in his stomach; the double sensation making Naruto's head spin. His life had been seriously fucked up; would Minato hate him if he knew all that happened to him or would he begin to hate Konoha for their trespasses against him? Naruto was conflicted but in the end he gave a defeated sigh; he couldn't deny Minato anything in the end and he would not lie either since he suspected his father would be able to tell if he left something out or lied about it. 'Everything Naruto; you are my beloved son and I want to know everything about you.' Naruto relented; giving a nod of his head. After all how could he deny such a request? Naruto knew he would obey without question. Maybe finally taking about the things that happened to him would also help him heal. 'I can walk you know.' Naruto huffed as he was picked up in Minato's arms and carried by the larger man. A blush settling over his nose when his father said something out of character. 'Aww; but Naru-chan! I can't help but carry you! You look so cute as a blushing bride in my arms.' Naruto turned red so fast that he wasn't sure that red could become such a deep colour. He was blushing to the tips of his ears at that comment. Naruto squirmed his embarrassment but stopped when Minato's arms tightened against him warningly. Naruto understood the threat; if he moved to much Minato would have no qualms about dropping him on his ass. 'You're going to hurt yourself if you keep doing that.' Naruto said to deter his father from carrying him further but Minato refused to relinquish his hold. Naruto knew if he could hear he would hear an indigent squawk from his lips; he knew he was no kid anymore and he must have been heavy; he only heard Minato chuckle as he was shifted in strong arms for a better grip. 'I'll be fine. Besides we're almost home.' Naruto's ears perked at that word 'home' it sounded so right. Like he belonged in Minato's life. He huffed as he relaxed further into Minato's arms; eyes closing as he allowed only the sensations around him to wash over him. His blush still staining his nose and cheeks a crimson red. Naruto finally came back to himself as he felt his feet being set on the ground. He was being held against a strong chest as Minato's one arm held him prisoner. Naruto watched amazed as Minato managed to use his other hand to unlock his apartment with an easy grace; regardless of his position making things difficult. As Naruto was guided into the apartment he felt his chest contract slightly as he observed the state of Minato's apartment. Before Naruto could feel sadness spill over he allowed a chuckle to spill from his lips. The similarities was almost uncanny; Naruto found it hilarious that he was almost exactly the same as his old man. Well Naruto didn't think Minato was old; in fact he couldn't have been more than six or seven years his senior. His eyes taking in the many scrolls that were spread throughout the entire two bedroom apartment. The kitchen was clean but Naruto could have sworn he saw a few instant ramen cups peaking out from the counter. The entranceway walls were stacked with scrolls and other items; kunai and shuriken were haphazardly strewn on the floor. He turned to see a blush staining Minato's cheeks. It was clear he wasn't expecting visitors. 'Sorry.' Naruto apologized; wiping at the tears of mirth forming at the corner of his eyelashes. 'W-what is it?' Naruto gave a reassuring smile to Minato; just to make sure Minato understood he wasn't laughing at him but at his apartments state. 'Your apartment is exactly like mine; the scrolls, the kitchen, the ramen cups. Somehow it makes me feel so more closer to you.' Naruto said smiling. Blue eyes turned towards Minato as he unbuckled the heavy scroll from his back and held it to his chest. 'May I place this somewhere close by? It means a lot to me.' Naruto said and was relieved when Minato gave a nod and took the scroll from Naruto and placed it in the living room in a corner that was always in his line of sigh. Naruto gave a smile of thanks as he gave Minato a brief hug. 'Will you tell me what it is? At first I thought it was a storage scroll but the chakra leaking from the scroll is different.' Minato asked as he ran a finger across the tightly wound scroll. It looked heavy but Naruto seemed to carry it with such ease. Naruto smiled before placing a hand over Minato's gently; stilling the man's movements. 'I inherited the contract between the toad village and Konoha after Jiraiya-sensei's death.' Naruto placed a finger over Minato's lips. 'Questions for later Minato; it is all in my life's events. I know its confusing but can be patient for a little while?' At Minato's nod Naruto allowed a sigh of relief spill from his lips before he turned his eyes to the bathroom longingly. He heard Minato's chuckle and frowned. Turning his scowl on Minato. 'Do you want to take a shower first Naruto?' Naruto's ears perked at that. A shower sounded like absolute heaven right now. 'May I?' Naruto wanted to make sure that Minato wouldn't mind. He turned pleading blue eyes towards Minato with a deadly pout; seeing Minato avert his eyes and look away assured Naruto that he had succeeded. 'Yes; Naruto. I offered didn't I? I'll fix some tea for after your shower or would you like some sake?' Naruto nearly chocked. Sake?! He was only sixteen. He shook his head and smiled at Minato as he headed for the bathroom. 'Tea will be fine; thank you Minato.' Naruto was looking forward to the warm shower he had been promised. ~ Without waiting Naruto opened the faucet; the splash of water droplets against his clothed arms was sending shivers through his body. Anticipation curling in his stomach as he waited for the water to warm before adjusting it to the right temperature. He carefully shed his clothing before slipping into the shower cubicle; a contented sigh spilling from his lips as he allowed the water to wash over him in its gentle caress. In no time at all his hair was plastered to his forehead; rivulets of water ran over his closed eyes making him blind and a slight panic settled over him. Having two senses taken away was a bit much so Naruto opened his eyes even if the water stung his eyes. A sigh spilling from his lungs as he forced himself to relax as the water allowed his back muscles to release some of their tension. 'Naruto; I left a yukata out with a fresh towel. We need to find you some more clothes tomorrow as well.' Naruto startled from his thoughts at his father's voice invading his senses. He had been stuck on where exactly to start his life story; Minato's voice reminded him that Naruto had an obligation to keep. 'Thanks Minato.' Naruto sent back as he quickly washed himself under the warm water; without thinking he grabbed a shampoo bottle and squeezed some of the substance in his hand before lathering it in his hair. The smell that assaulted his nose was pleasant; it was fruity and the unmistakable smell of several different herbs was heady to his nose. Carefully washing away the soapy substance from his hair before shutting off the water. Blinking away some of the stinging suds from his eyes Naruto ran a trembling hand through his now soaked hair. Squeezing some of the water out between his fingers it didn't help much to dry the messy spill. Towel drying his hair usually made controlling the blonde locks worse... After drying himself off thoroughly Naruto slipped in the light blue yukata Minato had set aside for him. It was a bit big for him but he managed to make it fit by tying the obi tightly around his waist. He groaned in frustration as he walked whilst rubbing furiously at his blonde hair to dislodge the stubborn water droplets the refused to budge. His lips moving in silent mumbling as he made his way towards the living room; where he sensed Minato's chakra easily. His father wasn't trying to hide from him so he was easily sensed. Naruto's bare foot falls were quiet in the apartment; the hardwood floors making his silent steps easier to maintain... Naruto frowned when he heard Minato's chuckle resound through his mind; he turned to glare at his father sitting on a comfortable couch; angry that he was being laughed at for his struggle with his hair. Even Minato's shoulders shacking with his suppressed laughter. Naruto scowled but obeyed immediately as Minato beckoned him closer. Forcing him to sit between the older Namikaze's legs as hands snatched the towel from his hands before rubbing his hair dry. 'You are adorable Naruto; so cute.' Naruto huffed but didn't say anything; secretly enjoying the touches Minato was bestowing on him. 'You know with hair like mine; you need to dry it properly. You may get sick.' Naruto snorted but excepted Minato's care in any case. The elder Namikaze never needed to know that he hardly ever got sick because of his demon tenant sharing his body. 'Are you feeling a bit better now?' Minato asked Naruto softly as he dropped the towel next to Naruto. He had already began to think of Naruto as his and dubbed him Namikaze Naruto; so with a smile he carefully hefted the younger Namikaze onto the couch next to him. Minato did not mind as Naruto's body curled into his; immediately seeking warmth from him. Naruto's head immediately went for his father's thigh as he rested his head there; revelling in the fingers that carded through his blond locks. The silence of those few moments were like the calm before the storm; Naruto sighed contentedly as he waited for a signal to start. Sure enough; not five minutes later Minato's voice floated into his mind pleasantly. 'Tell me Naruto.' Minato commanded softly and Naruto gave a soft sigh before shifting onto his back so that he could look Minato in the eye. His head never leaving Minato's lap; he didn't know why but he wanted to see Minato's face as he told his story. 'I don't know where to start.' Naruto said honestly. Fingers fisting in his yukata just above his thigh; biting his lip harshly. 'Start at the beginning.' Naruto gave a small nod. Before looking at Minato seriously. He allowed Minato to curl his fingers around his hand and hold his fingers gently. He was grateful for the support Minato showed; for all he knew they were both going to need it. 'Alright; but should I tie you down first?' Naruto asked seriously. A frown marring his features as that thought only now occurred to him. 'Why?' Minato's bewildered voice nearly made Naruto chuckle but he had meant every single word; this was no joke. He took a breath; eyes locking with Minato's as he gave a grimaced smile. 'Look; Dad. I won't lie to you.' Naruto began; trembling fingers fisting his hair. 'I've had one heck of a life; often filled with things no child should ever see or experience and I want to make sure you don't lose your temper and get angry; going on a killing spree because of what I tell you. 'Cause if you are anything like me; you are going to want to go on a rampage after this.' Minato seemed to contemplate Naruto's words for a while before he gave a nod. A breath left Naruto before he turned his attention back to himself. 'Good; now save your questions for later. I'll answer them when I'm finished; I promise.' Naruto warned before taking a deep breath; steeling himself for what was about to come. Reliving a nightmare again; one he had wished he could forget but stuck with him every hour of every day... -------------------- 'In starting with the beginning; you have to know a bit about Konoha's history that I grew up with Minato.' Naruto warned before closing his eyes as he envisioned his past; coming to life before his very eyes. 'Sixteen year ago; two to three years after the Third Great Ninja War. On the 10th of October; something horrifying happened to Konoha. Kyuubi no Kitsune; the strongest of Bijuu attacked Konoha in a fit of rage. No one could understand the reason for the attack but then again; there wasn't much time to contemplate the events if many shinobi were being killed by the second by trying to control Kyuubi. During that time Konoha was under the rule of the Yondaime Hokage; who we have all been told was a very powerful and compassionate man. But in order to save his village and protect his people from danger; the Yondaime sacrificed himself by sealing away the Kyuubi within the navel of a new born child. Whatever sealing technique he had used was forbidden as in exchange for his life; it would assure that Kyuubi would never be able to escape. However; that newborn child, an innocent in the attack never knew what had happened on that night. That that child had been me.' Naruto said as he scrunched the fabric of his yukata over the seal; the proof that he was not what he appeared to be. 'A taint on a pure soul that could never be erased; not even by the people that loved that child...' Naruto mocked himself before pressing his finger over Minato's lips to silence him. Knowing that the elder Namikaze had already many questions to ask. So carefully Naruto began again; fingers gripping Minato's hand in hopes of finding some comfort. It was the small reassuring squeeze from Minato's hand that gave him the strength to face his past again. 'On that night a new law was passed in Konoha; no one was to talk about the incident and especially not about the sealing ceremony that took place. The Sandiame had believed that it would protect me from the insecurities that came with being a Jinchuuriki but what he didn't count on was that the entire village would hate me after that. Being blissfully unaware of what I was and what I contained; I could never understand the reason why the people of Konoha would look at me with hate filled eyes or easily took out their anger on me. I was a lonely child; Minato that you wouldn't believe.' Naruto shuddered as those memories came to the surface. Biting his lip Naruto turned his head and buried it against Minato's stomach to stop the older man from seeing his pain. He didn't need to make this harder on Minato than it already was. 'I was in an orphanage until I was nine and considered old enough to take care of myself before I was placed in a one room apartment in downtown Konoha. All paid for by the Jiji-Hokage of course but before the first month was up I was cornered by several higher ranking shinobi and attacked. But not only that; it was the first night I was acquainted to the joys of rape.' Naruto shuddered heavily as a few tears forced itself between his eyelids. Only Minato's distinctive scent kept him from breaking down completely. A shuddering breath later; Naruto found hidden strength to continue. 'I felt so helpless, I didn't even know what was happening. Well what nine year would know what the word 'Rape' meant? That was the first time I knew there was something violent within me. It was because of that single night that I began to wonder if I really was a monster as the villagers claimed. The eight trigram heavenly seal was nearly shattered that night; I had no control over Kyuubi once his hatred and rage took over; when I finally came too six jounin were dead on my apartment floor and I was crying in the arms of Jiji-Hokage. The first time someone had held me as if I was something precious and offered comfort other than my own.' Tears were streaming down Naruto's face and soaked into Minato's shirt but Naruto hardly noticed as fingers buried in his hair. 'After that night I was placed with a young chuunin teacher; Umino Iruka. He was a nin that taught at the Academy and also specialized in handling traumatized children. Iruka-sensei was the first person to even acknowledge my existence besides the Hokage. When I turned twelve I was put in my own apartment again and luckily this time I had been put under ANBU protection. It was no less than two weeks later that it was time for the final test at the Academy. I had failed twice before; because of my traumatized mind and difficulty in controlling my chakra because of Kyuubi. The seal also made practically controlling my chakra twenty times harder than any normal shinobi. Luckily I was a student that never gave up easily as I had a big dream. ' Naruto smiled as he remembered his dream; it was one he still lived for today. 'Let's just say that, that day was the worst day of my life. I failed the test a third time; however after watching all my friends move on and not even spare me a glance nearly broke me completely. I was naturally a difficult child a troubled child that would do anything to gain attention. Pulling pranks and yelling just so that people would look at me. I even defaced the Hokage Mountain once with colourful paint.' Naruto chuckled at the memory. 'Iruka-sensei wasn't very happy about that and made me clean everything up before taking me for Ramen that same night...' 'Anyways; back to the graduation ceremony, someone finally did acknowledged me but I cannot say that it was a good thing. Mizuki-sensei; a quiet and reserved teacher at Konoha Academy- approached me that day and told me there was a way I could pass the Genin exam and finally graduate. Being completely innocent and trusting to easily; I agreed to his terms. Steal the Forbidden Scroll of Seals from the Hokage tower.' 'He told me there were some really cool techniques I could learn; so I naturally took the opportunity and secluded myself in the forest to train. That was the day where I learned Kage Bunshin and mastered it within three hours. It was only a matter of time before someone came after me and I was discovered by Iruka-sensei; he wasn't very happy with me and when I told him about Mizuki-sensei I was forced into a position that no child should ever experience. The person I trusted to let me pass my genin exam told me he hated me; he broke the Sandiame's law and told me what I held. At first I thought it was just a lie but then I started remembering the cold stares and hurtful words. I was so scared that day that I ran and ran without thinking; that stupidity nearly cost me Iruka-sensei's life. With inner strength and hope Iruka gave me I used my newly acquired skill. How I managed to outsmart a chuunin teacher I would never know. I graduated with the kind words of Iruka-sensei; he gave me his hitai-ate; which I still wear today.' Naruto's breath hitched as two more tears spilled from his eyes; he calmed immediately as a kiss was placed on his forehead. Naruto could sense Minato's distress through their link and placed a gentle chaste kiss on Minato's lips. He was transfixed on those blue eyes; shimmering with emotions so close to his own... 'Naruto?' Minato's voice easily snapped Naruto out of his daze as he dragged back to reality. 'Sorry. It get's better after that I promise.' Naruto smiled softly; knowing he was lying through his teeth. His life was one hell of a downward spiral after Sasuke's defection. ~ 'I was placed on a three man team with Kakashi-sensei as our team leader. The great Sharingan Kakashi was a bastard that was always late and so aloof; he never really cared for me. Oh no; Sasuke was always more important. I won't go into much detail; nothing really important happened until the arrival of the first chuunin exams. But I'll tell you I was on a team with Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke; he was second son of Uchiha Fugaku.' Naruto remembered the Uchiha massacre and decided he needed to inform Minato of that as well. 'But before I go on; a little history with the Uchiha Clan. Sasuke was just alone as I was; the entire Uchiha clan had been massacred when I was seven and only Sasuke was left behind. Our teamwork was shit; especially with the pink haired menace Sakura; however something about the dynamics between me and Sasuke was something out of this world. We could easily understand each other and form strategies without even saying a single word; an intense rivalry that became our reason to grow stronger. At some point in time we became best friends; in fact he was the only person I considered my family despite Iruka-sensei.' 'During the three day survival training in the forest of death; we were attacked by a missing-nin called Orochimaru. Somehow the bastard took a liking to my best friend. Marking him with a cursed seal and offering him a way to fulfil his ambition to get his revenge against his brother- the man who massacred the entire Uchiha clan in one single night. Kakashi-sensei had promised me that he took care of the cursed seal but he couldn't keep it sealed without the will of the Uchiha himself to keep it dormant. It was asking for a disaster to happen.' Naruto said truthfully. 'I met Jiraiya-sensei - or Ero-Sennin as I like to call him - and he oversaw my training for the next month. Teaching me the summoning technique which took ages for me to master until I managed to form a link between me and Kyuubi. During the first match of the final chuunin exam I faced a prick called Hyuuga Neji that believed fate was everything holy in the world but luckily I managed to beat some sense into him; I mean really I was a child that defied everything fate threw at me.' Naruto said with a small smile. 'However; that was also where I met Sabaku No Gaara. The Jinchuuriki of the Ichibi. We clashed heavily; I even had to call in Gamabunta for that. He was swearing so much that day that I thought my ears were going to bleed. I was so proud of myself that I taught Gaara that he could be loved and accepted by the other people and not need to kill to feel loved. He had had a sad existence just like me. I don't know much of the details of that day since I was so occupied with a demon on a murderous rage; but I do know that Jiji-Hokage died that day; fighting his precious student. Orochimaru. The casualties eventually reached in its teens but we thank fully managed to avoid another war.' 'I went on a training trip with Jiraiya and that's where I learned the Rasengan in one week. It was almost the hardest thing I ever attempted...After that Konoha was restored with Tsunade-Baachan as the Godaime. However, it wasn't long until everything went down hill again.' 'I came into contact with the Akatsuki for the first time. An elite organization of S-class missing nin that were collecting the Bijuu for their own purposes. Even Itachi - Sasuke's older brother - was part of that organization. It was during this time that Sasuke began hating the fact that I was maturing faster than him and just as Orochimaru had predicted; Sasuke went in search for power from that dirty snake. It all started with the small fact of Itachi choosing me as his target rather than his brother.' 'It wasn't long until I was betrayed in the worst way ever; my best friend tried to murder me. I don't know if you know the secrets of the Uchiha clan but Sasuke wanted to gain the Mangekyou Sharingan - the ultimate genjitsu technique that can manipulate both time and space- however in order to gain the Mangekyou Sharingan it was an written rule that he had to kill his best friend. I chased him all the way to Konoha's border to stop him and drag him back. Ironically we faced off against each other at the Valley of the End; an Uchiha against a carrier of the Senju's will of fire.' 'I remember my words were something like "I will drag you back to Konoha even if I have to break every bond in my body to do it..." Sadly my promise could not be kept. It was the first time I was nearly killed; being rammed through the chest by a Chidori was hell- Chidori was a lightning technique created by Kakashi-sensei. If it hadn't been for Kyuubi I would have died that day.' Naruto opened his eyes to look at Minato for the first time since he started; he parted his yukata right over his heart. Revealing a large star burst scar just a few millimetres left from his heart; it was a stark contrast to his tan skin, the reddish scars that proved he had nearly lost his life to a power hungry maniac. Naruto shuddered as he felt callused fingertips trace the raised flesh; Minato was tracing his scar with such gentle fingers that the tenderness startled Naruto slightly. He felt a few tears splash on his scar and he looked up to see Minato crying. He lifted his hand and wiped away at those tears; Naruto had already mourned that day in his past. Minato didn't have to do it too. 'Shhh; it's alright. That day made me stronger; only every now and then do I still feel the pain but I am healed. I released one of Kyuubi's tails. With the aid of Kyuubi's chakra I never thought that a Rasengan could become that powerful; that was until I finished the Rasen-Shuriken three years later. I don't remember much of that fight since my will was suppressed by Kyuubi but I do remember waking up on Kakashi's back as he carried me back to the village. ' Naruto stifled a yawn; he was getting tired and wanted to finish things up. With pleading eyes he turned to Minato. 'Do you mind if I shorten it a bit?' Naruto asked and was surprised when Minato shook his head. Naruto sighed, hopefully this part wouldn't take as long. Eyes closing once again Naruto carefully continued. 'Three years; Minato. We were given three years until Sasuke's body was possessed by that bastard and I went with Ero-Sennin for a three year long training trip. I learned to improve my abilities further; picked up on several new techniques but the only thing I really learned was to control Kyuubi's chakra. Only up to three tails though; I've been fighting with it for a long time but I struggle to control even up to the fourth tail. I nearly killed Jiraiya-sensei once; so I am trying to find a better control but the seal seems to weakening every time I am forced to use Kyuubi's chakra. I will ask you later if you can fix the seal.' 'Anyways after three years all hell broke lose again as the Akatsuki seemed to make their move; they took Gaara first and my friend - the Kazekage now - nearly died when the Ichibi was forcibly removed from his body. I never stopped looking for Sasuke even after that and every time we encountered each other we would fight; each time more violent than the last. After two months I started my training with Yamato-Tiachou and Kakashi-sensei to develop a new and more powerful technique; once again I only had several weeks to master it before being drawn into battle again. The Rasen-Shuriken was born with the help of a few thousand Kage Bunshins. All you have to know now is that I faced off against the Akatsuki members several times; Sasuke fought his brother and won after killing the snake Sannin. Things went out of control when Jiraiya decided to gather evidence on the suspected leader of the Akatsuki; Pein. He died that day and when I got back from a mission my heart was shattered. I had lost the person who had become like a father to me. ' Naruto took a few breaths and calmed when Minato placed several kisses on his forehead in an offer for comfort. After taking a shuddering breath Naruto continued hesitantly. The last of his past trickling from the tip of his tongue. 'I was offered a week of training with the Toads at their mountain to get a grip on Senjutsu. It was the hardest task I ever experienced but I succeeded in the end. After my training; Pein was still threatening to destroy Konoha in order to find me but I was sent on a very special mission to Suna to stop a certain puppet master from creating an army of deadly weapons. You know the rest Minato; what I learned and how I stayed behind instead of going back.' Naruto finally finished. Before he could take another breath he was forced against Minato's strong chest as tears soaked through his borrowed yukata. Naruto merely petted Minato's hair as he comforted the elder Namikaze. He was bewildered as he had never really comforted anyone before but he could understand Minato's tears; in fact he often still cried himself to sleep at night if the nightmares got really bad. 'I'm so sorry.' Minato kept repeating against his neck. 'It's okay; Dad. It's okay.' Naruto cooed as he felt exhaustion threaten to overcome his body. Who knew talking about his past would exhaust him so much. ------------------------- Minato was crying as he lost control of his emotions. His child lived a life like that? His child. He was breaking into pieces and he was being comforted by Naruto? His child who he should be comforting? Naruto had been right; Minato was just about ready to go into a murderous rampage especially after he had heard the one simple word of 'rape'. He could feel his anger boil in his veins; he couldn't even begin to fathom the pain Naruto had lived through. Yet; he wanted to make everything better. He would give his heart and soul for his beloved child even if it killed it. And therein lied the problem; he had given his body and soul to protect Naruto but just not in the way he thought he had... 'Where have I been your entire life?' Minato asked. He somehow knew he was not going to like the answer. 'Murdered by me the night I was born.' Naruto said softly and with so much sorrow that Minato nearly lost his purchase and hold on Naruto; those words had sounded so wrong and utterly unbelievable. His breath hitched in his chest; blue eyes clouded with many conflicting emotions. 'Naruto; what? I don't understand... You were just a baby. How could you have killed me?' Minato felt dread twisting his stomach; he knew he wasn't going to like the answer. He just knew it. 'Remember that great hero I told you about; the Yondaime Hokage?' At Minato's nod Naruto raised his arms and placed his hands on Minato's cheeks. Offering comfort ahead of time as Naruto knew what he was about to say was going to tear Minato's soul apart. 'I don't want to hurt you Minato.' Naruto said softly as he closed his eyes slightly; staring at Minato through heavily lidded eyelashes. 'Seeing you hurt in anyway will break me; there is no other conclusion.' Naruto whispered but a simple kiss on his forehead dragged him back to Minato; he was waiting for an answer. 'Tell me Naruto; I'm just about ready to kill that man for sealing Kyuubi within you.' He heard a bitter chuckle resound through his mind and frowned; what was that supposed to mean? Blue eyes turned to the rueful smile on Naruto's lips; even he couldn't miss the sadness that was displayed on Naruto's features. 'Before I tell you; I have to tell you that I forgave Yondaime for everything he did Dad. I will never stop looking up to him; for years it has been my dream to become a Hokage even stronger than him... I love you and even though I only met you a few days ago; I know I love you more than anyone in this world.' Minato frowned. Where was Naruto going with this? 'I really hope you don't have an affinity for suicide Namikaze Minato; because the Yondaime Hokage was my father.' The air stilled as Minato felt his heart freeze before it was shattered into a million pieces by Naruto's words. He was the Yondaime? He was the one that put so much suffering on his son? He was... Minato never had an affinity for suicide but after Naruto's words he was beginning to doubt that fact; how could he have done something so cruel. A broken sob escaped his lips and forced all his breath to leave his lungs in a rush; he felt as if he had punched in the stomach. Tears spilled from his eyes as he began entering the beginning stages of shock; his entire body trembling at the revelation Naruto had just thrown at him. He but his lip until tasted a rush of blood; not even registering the pain as he struggled to control his harsh panting breaths. His mind was trying to process what it had been told and he was having difficulty forcing a coherent thought to form in his mind. All he could hear was the words- What have I done? I sealed Kyuubi into my own son. I-I-I-... 'Shhh; Minato. I forgive you. I forgive you and I love you.' Minato didn't know how many times Naruto repeated those words but all he knew was the warm scent that surrounded him as Naruto wound his arms around Minato in a comforting embrace. He felt somehow grateful that Naruto couldn't hear because he knew the devastated sounds he was making would effect Naruto more than his tears. Gentle fingers were on his face as they cupped his cheeks gently; tilting his head up so that he could look into blue eyes. He was expecting to be met with hatred and fear but all he saw was great compassion and love; he bit his lips again but Naruto caught his lip and smoothed it away from his teeth. 'Hush. There is no more need to feel guilty; I forgive you. I love you.' Minato was startled when Naruto pulled him closer and placed gentle lips over his. It was that simple movement that stopped Minato's thoughts from spinning in his mind and allowed an ocean of calm o settle over him. He leaned into Naruto's touch and unwittingly pressed their lips tighter together as their mouths slipped against each other; his blue eyes widened as they captured Naruto's blue eyes as well. His heart stuttered as he felt their lips locking together in an intimate kiss; he wanted to pull away and apologize but it seemed that Naruto had other plans. He felt fingers in his hair as Naruto tilted his head; mouth sliding against Minato's as his eyes lidded. Minato couldn't stop; that image was ingrained in his memory as one of the most erotic and at the same time innocent images he had ever seen. Neither Namikaze seemed to notice time as they allowed their emotions to lead the kiss they were now locked in. Lips gently caressing as tongues playfully explored territory that definitely taboo; tasting, touching and teasing moans from both of them that left their heartbeats increasing and their desire built to unimaginable levels. The feeling of contentment and love paving a path for a new and forbidden feeling that society often looked down upon. Minato groaned softly as Naruto submitted to him; the felling of pleasure racing up his spine was leaving him breathless in his want for more. 'Fuck Minato!' Naruto's voice echoing in his mind made him want to pull back but a low growl sounded in his ears as Naruto only pulled them closer. 'Don't even think about pulling away.' ~ Naruto smiled shyly at Minato as blue eyes locked with blue; how long they just laid in each other's arms Naruto couldn't tell but he didn't want to move. Minato's nose was buried in his neck as they basked in the sudden calm that had settled over them. Each breath that Minato took brushed against Naruto's neck pleasantly; he whined when Minato shifted above him. Naruto titled his head to look up ; shivering when a small kiss was placed on the corner of his mouth. 'Naruto; aren't you hungry?' Minato's voice reminded Naruto that he hadn't eaten anything since that morning when Minato had broken him out of the hospital room. With a nod; Minato's weight shifted from Naruto's form and suddenly felt cold at the loss of Minato's body over his. Naruto blinked as he found a hand in front of his face; he frowned until understanding dawned on him. Resting his hand in Minato's he was pulled to his feet and when he stumbled Naruto found himself in Minato's arms as he was pressed against a strong chest. 'Sorry.' Naruto thought with a blush. 'Hn.' Naruto scowled. 'Don't speak Uchiha; I'm not fluent yet.' Naruto said with a laugh and smiled as Minato laughed; the tension in the room was shattered by that comment . Naruto led Minato into the kitchen; his stomach protesting in its hunger. 'Do you want me to cook something?' Naruto asked; frowning when he observed the clock on the wall. It was already 9:45 at night. Had so much time already passed by unnoticed by them? He saw Minato shake his head in a negative. 'I'll make us something; you just sit and watch.' Naruto wanted to protest but he couldn't. Instead he obeyed as he just observed his father as he flitted through the kitchen. For a moment Naruto felt at ease with himself but he knew things would get out of hand again soon as he knew nightmares would be waiting for him when he finally closed his eyes that night. Naruto's mind kept turning around the intimate kiss he had shared with Minato; a blush staining his cheeks. He had never wanted that moment to end and he was craving more of such an intimate touch. It was then that it hit him; Minato had stolen his first kiss. Unless he counted his unexpected kiss with Sasuke as one. He didn't want Minato to regret what they had done as Naruto didn't think he could handle rejection again. Biting his lip; Naruto felt tears prickle at the corners of his eyes. He was startled when he felt Minato's hands on his cheeks; tracing his whisker like marks gently before leaning forward. 'You are thinking too much Naruto. I don't know what it going on with us exactly but I am not rejecting you. We'll take it one day at a time.' At those words Naruto immediately calmed and tilted his head as Minato pressed his lips against his in a chaste kiss. Naruto opened his mouth; granting entrance to Minato but the elder Namikaze merely dipped his tongue into Naruto's mouth for a taste before pulling away again. Naruto was afraid Minato had realized what he was doing and was about to reject him. But Minato's gentle touch in his hair drew his attention back to Minato again. 'I need to finish the food Naruto; stop thinking so much.' He said with a huff and Naruto nodded; blushing as he thought of his reaction. Well with the life he lived he believed that his doubts were justified... ------------------------------------- Thanks for reading; reviews, ratings and questions all welcome. SSP
