Hey guys!
So I’m updating again. I’m amazed at how fast I’m cranking this out! I’m probably going to lose steam soon, but I swear that I’m determined to finish this one!
That said, please give me encouragement! (and fanart)

Naruto, upon entering the room was surprised with what he saw. It was, in truth, something he would have never expected to see with his lover. Sasuke was sitting in total darkness with his back to the door as Sasuke stared out into the lights of Konoha during the evening. Sasuke’s voice, cold, and empty, asked “What?” Naruto flinched. So cold. Naruto wasn’t used to Sasuke talking so coldly to him. He didn’t know how to react to that. Sasuke’s voice was cold enough to be eerily similar to Itachi’s own voice. It was cold, like the life had been taken from it and Naruto hated how dead, how cruel Sasuke sounded..
Naruto said softly , attempting to sound reassuring and affectionate “Sasuke, teme, it’s me….Naruto.” Sasuke was silent for a few minutes, not saying anything. Naruto thought that maybe Sasuke knew he was telling the truth, that he wasn’t lying. Finally, there was a murmured response, but it was too low for Naruto to have caught what was said. Straining to hear, Naruto took a step closer to get a better listen to what the other male was saying, and he tried again “Ne, Sasuke, aren’t you going to welcome me home?” Sasuke murmured, letting Naruto hear just what he had been muttering under his breath “He’s gone, that’s not him. He’s gone, that’s not him.” It seemed to have been Sasuke’s coping mantra for the past three years. Finally, Sasuke turned around and snapped at Naruto in a tone that was venomous enough to kill if it had been a jutsu “Go away! I don’t need some bullshit jutsu to make me feel better!” Naruto frowned and snapped back, irritated with how Sasuke was treating him “Oi teme! This isn’t a jutsu! I’m real!” Sasuke snapped, lip curling in cruel distaste “So you’re a clone then?” Sasuke got up and walked around the desk to stand in front of Naruto.
Sasuke had changed since Naruto had last seen Sasuke. Sasuke had grown taller, and filled out. His shoulders were broader too, defining his bigger frame. Sasuke’s face was more mature, more adult. He wore no headband, and nothing obstructed his face. His jet black hair kept its duck butt shape. Sasuke’s eyes were dark, as if he wore a little eyeliner. However, it was obvious that Sasuke wasn’t wearing make up and the slim rings around his eyes were due to his lack of sleep. Sasuke wore the long white flowing robes of the hokage, but underneath, he wore clothing completely different from when Naruto had left. When Naruto had left, Sasuke had worn his old high collared dark blue shirt without sleeves and he wore long black pants, reminiscent of the Anbu uniform. Now, Sasuke’s outfit had completely changed.
Now, Sasuke wore black anbu pants that clung tightly to his body. The pants were sleek and tight, like spandex. It ensured that Sasuke could move quickly. Sasuke’s shirt was a sleeveless black spandex top with a fishnet underneath it. The fishnet had long sleeves so that he could hook it around his middle finger. The fishnet shirt was dark enough to stand out against his pale skin. When he took his shirt off, it would look really good on his skin, along with the spandex shirt. On top of that, he wore the hokage robe. Sasuke’s sandals remained the same. As Naruto took in Sasuke’s wardrobe change, he couldn’t help but like what he saw. God his lover looked sexy dressed like that.
Sasuke glared and said “Who sent you this time? Lee? Sakura? Neji? I’ll fucking kill them all!” Sasuke raged, eyes going red with the Sharingan. Naruto shook his head and said “No teme! It’s me!” Naruto touched Sasuke’s arm and said “Please teme-“ Naruto suddenly had the wind knocked out of him as Sasuke slammed Naruto against the wall by the throat, ensuring that Naruto’s feet dangled off the ground. Sasuke said, his voice lowered dangerously with anger and rage “Don’t you fucking dare call me that.” Naruto clawed at Sasuke’s hand, saying weakly “Sasuke! It’s me, Naruto!” Sasuke leaned forward and snarled with rage “Bastard, I warned you!” smash! Naruto went flying across the office as Sasuke punched Naruto with all his strength. However, Naruto was not to be out done as he was on his feet again in a matter of seconds.
Wiping at his mouth, Naruto growled “It’s me you stupid bastard!” Naruto launched himself at Sasuke, fighting Sasuke with all his strength. Naruto wasn’t holding back, and Sasuke wasn’t either. In the three years Naruto had apparently been asleep, his skills had weakened, not to mention that Sasuke’s insane training had once again put Sasuke way ahead of Naruto, and Sasuke realized that. What he couldn’t accept, or realize, was that he was beating up his lover. Sasuke, enraged over the continuous claim of the male under him being Naruto, flung Naruto out the window of the Hokage tower as darkness clouded his vision.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Naruto came to, he was in the hospital with Sakura sitting at his bedside. She said anxiously “Naruto! Are you alright? I told you it was a bad idea to approach Sasuke right now! Especially when you’re so tired and weak!” Naruto winced and nodded weakly. His whole body hurt, and judging by the way everything hurt, he guessed that a few ribs were broken as well as his left leg and right arm. He was also pretty sure that his left wrist was fractured. Naruto looked at Sakura and said weakly “I was so sure he’d recognize me Sakura, I didn’t know……..” Sakura sighed and said softly “He’s changed Naruto. He’s not so willing to share his emotions anymore. He’s locked everything away and closed himself off. He’s hurting from losing you, and you suddenly come back into his life? No way. He doesn’t believe it.”
Sakura added softly “Not to mention, we’ve all been taking turns trying to get him to open up and relax.” Sakura looked away from the other male. Naruto said “But-But, he, he, was going on and on about how I was a clone or something, or I was someone else like Neji transforming into me.” It dawned on Naruto… He said, sounding horrified “You didn’t, did you Sakura?” Sakura looked at Naruto apologetically and nodded sadly. “We had no choice. He was self destructing and you seemed to be the only one that calmed him down.” Naruto looked sad and said quietly “What do we do now then Sakura-chan? He attacked me for looking like me! I know I can get through to him, but I don’t know how!” Sakura smiled and said softly “Just be you Naruto, that’s what he loved about you, right?” Sakura said, confidence brimming in her voice,
“But, first things first. You’ve gotta heal and train your body. Once you’re healed, you’ll have not performed any real jutsu for over three years, while Sasuke’s been training and fighting. We’ll get you better and strong first.
Then we’ll get Sasuke back.”
