chapters that was all ready written.� I
hope to have the 4^th chapter up sometime before Friday.

Neji smirked as Tobi woke him with a
kiss to the temple.� �Neji, I will be
gone for nearly a week on this mission.�
I have no time for us to be together, but remember you now have full
reign of the base, even in my absence.�
The only stipulation is that you are not allowed outside.�� Tobi kissed Neji�s lips softly before adding,
�In the month since I claimed you as mine, I have grown very fond of you.� Please do not do anything that will make me
regret the trust I have placed in you.�

Neji smiled and blushed a bit before
he pulled Tobi�s lips tightly against his own.�
Neji sucked Tobi�s bottom lip into his mouth, pulling at it
playfully.� His tongue demanded its
rightful spot against Tobi�s.� Neji
kissed Tobi until breathing became a necessity.�
Neji�s eyes hid a hint of sadness.�
�Tobi, I have also become fond of you.��
Neji sighed as he watched Tobi leave the room before falling back into
blissful sleep.

When Neji woke again it was
midday.� Neji had become accustomed to
spending his days within the base doing as he pleased; Tobi always granted Neji
whatever he wanted.� Two days before
this, Tobi had given Neji permission to explore even without Tobi by his
side.� Any thoughts Neji had about escape
were effectively cut off from his brain the first time Tobi said those seven
words: I have grown very fond of you.�
Neji�s heart beat faster whenever he saw Tobi�s smile or his eyes; his
heart grew dark and heavy whenever Tobi wasn�t around.

Neji stretched and headed for the
kitchen, planning on having some kind of food before going back to bed and
trying to sleep the day away.� He hadn�t
gotten much sleep last night knowing that Tobi was going away for a week.� In all actuality, Neji was surprised he was
walking normally after the rough fucking he had gone through.

As Neji began cooking, he sensed
someone else walking into the room.�
�What are you making, Neji?� Itachi�s cold voice came from behind
him.� It was impossible to tell when the
man was happy or sad or anything other than impassive.

Neji nodded toward him, �Eggs and
toast.�� He turned back to his
stove.� It killed him inside to be
friendly toward the brother of his ex-lover�s best friend.� He knew Naruto would most likely kill Neji
for this ultimate betrayal.

Itachi smirked a very characteristic
Uchiha smirk.� �Better not let Tobi see
that �I�m thinking about Naruto� look on your face.�

Neji sighed.� �I was thinking he would probably kill me for
being on speaking terms with Uchiha Itachi.�
You know, considering how much Sasuke meant to Naruto and now he�s
dealing with Sasuke working on his revenge by taking refuge with Orochimaru.�

Itachi�s deadly stare turned on
Neji.� �He�s taken up with Orochimaru,
has he?�� Itachi�s face became impassive
once more.� �What do I care who my foolish
little brother hangs around with?�

Neji finished making his breakfast in silence.�
He knew the way to shut Itachi up was to mention Sasuke.� Neji put his food on a plate and headed back
to Tobi�s room.� He wanted to eat in
peace.� It seemed that his day was not
going to be full of peace though, as he spied Deidara sitting outside Tobi�s
room.

Deidara smiled at Neji.� �Hello, Neji-kun.� Having some midday breakfast?�� Deidara licked his lips as he studied Neji�s
body.� He�d been trying to figure out how
to take Neji from Tobi for some time now.

Neji sighed and shook his head.� �You do know Tobi�s not as weak as you think
he is.� I�m pretty sure he�d kill you if
you touched what was his.�

Deidara shuddered.� Just once he�d seen the Tobi he knew Neji was
talking about.� That had been the
scariest five minutes of his life.

Deidara
was laughing as he hid in Tobi�s bathroom.�
He�d planted an exploding bird just above Tobi�s door frame.� This would definitely pay Tobi back for all
the times he�d hidden the artist�s clay.�
He heard Tobi open the door and made the hand signs to blow the door up.

Tobi
shrieked as the wood of the door frame splintered around him.� He pulled his mask off to see the damage
better, knowing exactly who was responsible for it.� �Deidara!� He hollered.

Deidara
opened the bathroom door, whistling to himself.�
�What did you need, Tobi?��
Deidara looked toward the door and gasped, �Oh my! How did this happen,
Tobi-kun?�

Tobi
activated the Sharingan.� �I think you know,
Deidara!� I will not tolerate this
shit!� Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?�

Deidara
took a step back.� This voice wasn�t
Tobi�s, and who knew that�s what Tobi looked like under that mask, and who knew
Tobi had a Sharingan, and that Tobi would radiate a killer vibe, and that Tobi
would scare Deidara more than the rest of the Akatsuki together.� Deidara nodded his head dumbly, being unable
to respond any differently.

Tobi
deactivated the Sharingan and before Deidara realized it had happened, Tobi
gave him a bloody nose.� Tobi slipped his
mask back into place bubbling, �Next time, Tobi won�t stop with your fucking
nose.� Next time, Tobi will make sure
Deidara�s whole fucking skull is bashed in.�

Deidara nodded at Neji.� �I won�t touch you.� I can�t be responsible for what I say to Tobi
about you trying to molest me, though.�

Neji sighed and closed the door
behind him.� He knew Tobi wouldn�t
believe Deidara�s stories.� He ate his
food before climbing back into the bed and falling back asleep.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Naruto punched a tree.� He could feel Neji was close.� He wasn�t even trying to hide his
chakra.� However, they had been searching
this same area for almost two days without getting any closer.� Naruto sighed and slumped down to the
ground.� Kakashi came up beside him.� �Yo, Naruto, maybe it�s time we thought up a
different plan?�

Naruto nodded and with a defeated
voice said, �I know he�s close, and I can�t find him.� Whatever we have been doing isn�t working, so
we should try something new.� �He felt a
surge of Neji�s chakra, but it vanished just a quickly.� It had been the same thing he felt the time
Kiba tried to rape Neji in the men�s room after Temari turned him down.� Naruto bit back a tear.� He needed to be strong now, for Neji.

Kakashi glanced behind him, seeing a
face in a tree.� As quickly as the sight
had appeared before him it was gone.�
Kakashi assumed it was someone, but not someone worth investigating.� There had been no negative consequences to
this mission, besides Naruto�s pain.�
Turning his eyes back to Naruto, Kakashi sighed.� �I know you are hurting, Naruto.� This is not the time to express your
frustration.� We must concentrate on
finding Neji.� Not even Pakkun has been
able to pinpoint a location for us.�

Naruto stomped his foot.� �I know that.�
I know.� I just can�t stand not
being able to find him when we are so close.��
He closed his eyes and pictured Neji.�
He thought to himself, �Please, let me find Neji.� Please.�

Kakashi was speaking to him
again.� �We�ll try Pakkun again, but if
it doesn�t work we will need to fall back and go report to Tsunade.� If the enemy knows we are looking for Neji,
he may be moved before we come back.� So,
let�s do our best to find him this time.�

Naruto nodded and concentrated on
Neji�s chakra again.� This had never been
a strong suit of his, but at least his boyfriend had made him train on chakra
detection every day.� Naruto shrugged.� �It keeps moving around, but it�s always
contained in the same general area.�
Let�s have Pakkun check that spot out.�

Kakashi nodded.� �Of course, Naruto.�� Kakashi formed some hand signs to summon
Pakkun.� Kakashi smiled at the pug in
front of him.� �Hi, Pakkun.� Sorry to bother you again so soon, but we
would like you to try looking for Hyuuga Neji once more.� Naruto has his chakra pinned down to a
relatively small area.�

Pakkun nodded and ran off in the
direction Naruto indicated.� Naruto
waited impatiently for the nin dog to return.�
After nearly three hours, Pakkun finally returned, exhausted.� �I�m sorry, Naruto.� I couldn�t locate Neji.�� Pakkun poofed away from Naruto and Kakashi
for a much needed rest.

Kakashi placed his hand on Naruto�s
shoulder.� �Let�s go report to
Tsunade.�� Kakashi and Naruto headed
straight for Konoha.� Kakashi felt like there
was someone watching him, but shrugged it off when he couldn�t see anyone or
sense any chakra.

�~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tobi watched as Kakashi and Naruto
retreated.� He hummed to himself as he
headed back to the base and his much missed lover.� The mission had only taken five days instead
of seven and he knew that Neji would be missing him enough all ready.� He wanted to get back to the long haired god
that waited in his room.

Tobi entered the base, surprised to
find Deidara waiting for him.� �Tobi,�
Deidara started, �Neji made a pass at me.�
I told him I�d never hurt you and he should leave me alone, but he kept
insisting that you�d never need to know.�
I wouldn�t hurt you, Tobi; you know that.� I just thought you should know.�� Deidara hung his head, hiding his smirk on
the inside.

Tobi glanced at Deidara.� He knew his lover wouldn�t waste his time on
Deidara.� Itachi, perhaps, but never
Deidara.� Tobi smirked under his mask,
his eyes glinting dangerously in the small light the mask let in.� �Deidara,� Tobi paused at the look of
absolute fear on Deidara�s face.

Deidara cringed, �Oh SHIT.� It�s that voice again!� Deidara screamed in
his head.� Any thought of this plan
working to his advantage was completely shattered.

Tobi adjusted his cloak before
continuing.� �I warn you not to interfere
with me and my lover in any way.� After
all, I have no qualms cutting you and draining every last drop of blood from
your body.�� He leaned down until he was
only centimeters from Deidara�s face.�
�It�s lovely you know?� Feeling
the spirit of someone you�ve cared for being yanked out by your own hand.� Someday, perhaps, I�ll give you a firsthand
demonstration�especially if you keep making up lies about Neji.�� Tobi stood back up and put on his �mask-voice�.� �Tobi is a good boy, Deidara-sempai.� Don�t bother Tobi; Tobi�s going to see

Tobi skipped down the hallway toward
his room.� He was anxious to see
Neji.� Though he would never admit it, he
must be in love.� His heart ached when he
was separated from Neji for long missions.�
He wanted to make Neji a member of Akatsuki, but he knew that no matter
Neji�s feelings for himself, he would never agree to join the group.

Neji smiled.� He could feel Tobi�s chakra coming down the
hallway.� Neji activated his Byakyugan
and saw as Tobi skipped down the hall towards him.� He opened the door and leaned casually
against the door frame, crossing his arms softly in front of his chest.� �Welcome home, Tobi-kun.�

Tobi ran straight for Neji, wrapping
his arms around Neji�s waist and pulling both of them into the room.� Neji slammed the door shut behind them.� Tobi wasted no time pulling his mask off and
placing a bruising kiss on Neji�s
lips, before pulling back to look in Neji�s eyes.� �I missed you,� Tobi sighed against Neji�s
lips.

Neji smirked and nuzzled Tobi�s
neck.� �I missed you, too, Tobi.�� Neji sat down on the bed and pulled Tobi
against his body.� Running his fingers up
and Tobi�s arm, Neji whispered, �Did Deidara follow through on his threat to
tell you I was coming on to him?�

Tobi laughed and wrapped his arms
behind him, around Neji�s neck.�
�Yes.� I think I made my point
about telling lies, though.�

Neji kissed behind Tobi�s ear,
moving down his neck with every kiss.�
�Did you take your mask off for him?�
I can�t imagine anything being scary coming from you with that thing
on.�

Tobi sighed.� �Not this time, but he�s seen it once
before.�� He moaned as Neji slipped a hand
into his cloak and pinched a pert nub through his shirt.� Tobi threw his head back on Neji�s shoulder,
turning his head to playfully nip at Neji�s neck.

Neji smiled down at him and stood
up.� �Let�s take a bath together.� It�s been too long since we�ve done
that.�� He held his hand out for
Tobi.� Tobi grabbed Neji�s hand and
allowed his body to be led to the bathroom.�
Neji ran warm water before pulling Tobi�s cloak off, followed by the
clothes underneath.� �Go in, the water
should be just right.�

Tobi smirked at Neji, �I thought you
wanted to take a bath together.� Don�t
you need to take your clothes off for that?�

Neji smiled and nodded.� �You get in first, please.�� Tobi sighed and slipped down into the
water.� He looked expectantly at Neji and
was surprised to see that Neji was naked, except for the headband that he
always wore.� Neji took a deep breath and
took off the headband, revealing an X on his forehead.

Tobi cocked his head, �Is this why
you don�t take your headband off?�� Neji
nodded, slipping into the water beside Tobi.�
Tobi continued, �I don�t see why.��
He ran his hand over the mark.� So
this was the mark that Hyuuga�s got when they weren�t the main branch.

Neji shrugged.� �I�m not main branch.� I was branded so that I�d always know my
place.�� Neji slid through the water
until he was straddling Tobi, sitting on his lap.� �If I die, this seals away my Byakyugan
instantly.� So, if all I�m good for is my
ability, then you�ll need to keep me alive.�

Tobi�s heart hurt hearing that Neji
may think he was only being used.� Even
if that was how it began, that certainly was no longer the case.� Tobi shook his head and pulled Neji�s lips to
his own.� �Sorry, Neji, but I have grown
very fond of you.�

Neji smiled and pressed his lips to
Tobi�s. ��I have grown fond of you,
also.�� Neji smirked as he rubbed his

It took more than two days to get
back to Konoha, even though Kakashi and Naruto had only stopped when absolutely
necessary.� Naruto ran straight to the
Hokage�s tower.� �Granny Tsunade!� He
yelled as he burst the door open without so much as knock.� �We can find Neji�s chakra, but we can�t find
Neji.� What�s your plan?�

Tsunade wanted to be angry with
Naruto for his actions; she really did.�
However, she was finding it difficult knowing he was facing one of the
most challenging things in his life.� She
knew what it was like to lose the love of your life.� �Naruto,� her voice was hard, even if her
face was soft.� �Calm down.� It�s not going to help anyone if you are this
worked up.� Maybe I was wrong putting him
on the search team eh, Kakashi?�

Kakashi grinned as he walked into
the room.� �Sorry about that,
Tsunade-sama.� I always forget that
Naruto has no manners and no respect for authority.� At least he�s been able to keep Kyuubi at bay
for now, even in this emotionally distraught state.� That must mean he�s making some
progress.� We should focus on the
positives.�

Naruto sighed and forced himself to
calm down.� He knew Kakashi was reminding
him of what might happen should he completely lose emotional control.� He couldn�t let that happen again.� �I�m sorry.�
I just want to find Neji.� I don�t
believe that he�s happy wherever he is.�
I want to tell him I didn�t mean it when I said I was done.�

Tsunade sighed.� �What of Sabaku no Gaara?� Aren�t the two of you together now?�� She knew that the Sand ninja had asked Naruto
out, but she also knew that Naruto�s heart was too heavy to make a proper
decision about a lover.

Naruto shook his head.� �Gaara realized it was too soon for me to be
in a relationship when I broke down after being told about Neji.� I think he also realized that I never really
lost anything I felt for Neji.� Please,
Tsunade-sama.� I want to talk about a new
strategy.�

Kakashi shook his head.� �The plan I�ve come up with is very
dangerous, but I think it might be our best option.�

Tsunade frowned.� It was never a good omen when Kakashi used
the word dangerous.� The fact that he
added very in front of the word was even more unnerving.� �What�s your plan, Kakashi?�
Kakashi�s almost eternal smile
vanished, �I will disguise myself as Naruto and allow myself to be
captured.� They are still after him after
all.� I will have a clone waiting for the
real Naruto to know where the entrance is.�
Then he can sneak in after I�ve been captured and look for Neji.�

Tsunade rolled her eyes.� �That�s a stupid idea, Kakashi!� You should know better!�� She slammed her fists against her desk,
causing it to split � again.� She looked
at Kakashi, �I can�t let you do something so risky.� Naruto would be in immense danger; we don�t
even know it was Akatsuki that took Neji.�

Kakashi shook his head.� �It was definitely Akatsuki.� I sensed Uchiha Itachi in the same spot that
Naruto sensed Neji.� I think it is
important to get into the base first and foremost.� Then we can learn the secret to penetrating
the barrier and get to Neji.�

Tsunade stopped, deep in
thought.� �Fine, but you are taking
Asuma, Kurenai, and Shikamaru with you.�
I will not send just two of you into the lion�s den.� Asuma, Kurenai, and Shikamaru will watch your
backs.� You will leave tomorrow at
noon.� Get rested and prepare yourself
for your mission.�

Tsunade watched as Naruto and
Kakashi left.� �I hope you know what you
are doing� she thought.� She couldn�t
help but think back to how she found out that Neji and Naruto had a romantic
interest in one another.

�What?� I don�t want to be in a team with Hinata and
Kiba, Granny Tsunade.� I should be out
with Neji�s team doing B-Rank missions; not that I have a problem with Kiba or
Hinata.� He added quickly as he saw the looks in his current teammates� eyes.

Tsunade
shook her head.� �I�ve had it with your
attitude, Naruto.� You�re suspended from
missions other than D-Rank for the next two weeks.�� She turned to Kiba and Hinata.� �I�ll get Sakura-san to assist you with this
mission, please be ready to leave at noon.�

Kiba
and Hinata nodded before heading off to their respective homes.� Tsunade turned to Naruto.� �All right, Naruto.� What is this about?� You�ve never requested a specific person
before, only specific ranks.�

Naruto
blushed.� He muttered under his breath,
�I miss him.�� He looked up, surprised to
see Tsunade had heard him.� �I,� he knew
there was no way to lie his way out of that statement.

Tsunade
nodded.� �How long?�� She could hardly believe her Naruto, who was
like a brother, was romantically involved with another ninja.� She could care less whether it was a man or a
woman, but why hadn�t he at least mentioned something to her.

Naruto
looked away, but answered, �We�ve only been together for a month now.� He keeps getting sent out on long, difficult
missions though.� We�ve only actually
gotten to see each other like five times.��
He felt miserable.� He was
embarrassed and really missing Neji.

Tsunade
nodded.� �I�ll keep him off missions for
a week, but then I don�t want to hear anymore complaining out of you.� He�s one of our top ninja.� As much as I�d like to, I can�t keep him in
the village just for you.�

Naruto
nodded.� �Thank you, Tsunade-sama.� Please, don�t tell anyone.� Neji and I aren�t ready to make the
relationship public, yet.�� Tsunade
nodded and watched as Naruto walked down the steps.� He seemed like a weight had been lifted from
his shoulders.� If keeping Neji home for
a week would keep Naruto happy, she would do it.

�Good luck,� she whispered out her window
before turning back to her destroyed desk.�
�Shizune!� she hollered out the door.�
�Desk situation, again.�
