Black Lion

*Note: Sorry about the mess of the first 2 chapters! I had a rough bit of a weekend, but I'll be quicker with the rest of the story. Thank you for reading again!

This chapter is inspired by a fanart picture I saw of Sai painting a large black lion on his wall and resting.

I hope you enjoy~*

Naruto was running late, and he knew it. “Aw, man…”, he sulked while panting as he ran over the tops of houses. He finally smiled as he saw Sai’s open window approaching in the horizon, the white curtain blowing in waves from the wind. He squinted, able to make out a pale figure walk by. Sai had waited for him after all, and that made the blond feel warm inside. He finally made it to the window, crouching on sill as he held the curtain off of his body, above his head. The sun was setting on Naruto’s back, his face and clothes dirty from sweat and training. Sai was busying himself with artistic works as usual, but this one was a bit odd for Sai’s character. Instead of his usual paintings on a canvas, he was working on a giant, ink-brush lion on his wall. He was wearing just a pair of his black capris and black thong-toe, sandals. Random parts of his body were randomly splattered with black, gray, and white splotches.

With a heavy sigh, Sai turned around just enough to look at Naruto. “How long do you plan on keeping me waiting? It’s bad enough that you’re late as is.” Naruto blushed, then gave a nervous laugh. “So you noticed me, huh?” Sai smiled a bit, then turned around to work more on the lion’s mane. ‘It’s hard not to notice. You sound like an avalanche…” Naruto huffed, climbing out of the window to get inside of the room. “Well it’s not as if I was trying to sneak in…” Naruto said, scoffing a bit as he walked up to Sai. He eyed the painting, putting his arms around Sai’s waist, hugging him from behind. Sai stopped painting, smiling softly as he was hugged. He reached behind himself, painting a line on down Naruto’s nose in white. As Naruto’s eyes crossed to look at the line, Sai began to giggle softly. The blond growled playfully, turning Sai around as he pinned the other ninja’s back on a blank space on the wall, only centimeters from the painting.

Sai turned, looking at how his body barely missed his creation, his face expressionless as always. His eyes moved to the window, squinting slightly as his open window. With a little smirk, Sai turned his attention to Naruto, draping his thin arms around his broad shoulders and ran his left hand’s finger though the messy nest of blond sweaty hair. Naruto loved the attention, rubbing his nose against Sai’s sweetly before leaning in to kiss him deeply. Both boys moaned, pushing back on the wall harder and grinded onto each other’s bodies. As Naruto move to kiss and bite at Sai’s neck, Sai moved his hand out of his hair and placed his first two fingers against his on lips. “Release.” Naruto heard the ninjitsu command, pulling away and looking confused. “Huh? What?” he asked, breathless from his kissing. Sai’s drawing let out a roar, peeling itself off of the wall and kneeled down into an attack position. Naruto turned to watch it, unable to move much with Sai’s right arm holding him close and protectively.

Sai’s eyes were focused on his window as he held his left hand in place on his lip, chanting a technique so softly and quick that not even Naruto could hear it well\. The blond tried to move, but Sai pulled him back. “What…what the hell, Sai! Let me go!” Naruto fussed, pushing away hard enough to break away from Sai’s hold. Sai needed both hands anyways, and quickly starting making symbols, causing his lion to take a deep breath, then spray ink-black flames. Sai’s target in the window easily jumped into the room, dodging the flames that chased after him and around the walls. The flames left artistic, tattoo fire where they touched along his walls, chasing the intruder as he circled the room. Naruto ducked out of the way, about to make hand symbols of his own, but something made him stop. He caught a glimpse of the ninja Sai was targeting that made everything around him move in slow motion. “…Sa…su…ke…?”

Sasuke ran along the walls of the room, jumping, flipping and dodging all while pulling out his katana. He turned once he got on top of the bed, slicing the giant, ink, flame ball coming at his head in half. Sai clicked his tongue, moving his hands about to throw something else, but Naruto clamped his hands over Sai’s. “STOP IT!” Naruto yelled, making Sai’s eyes get large, but he obeyed, although that didn’t stop him from glaring at Sasuke. Sasuke still had his hand on his weapon, arching his body down, holding himself up with his left arm on the mattress as his right hand gripped tightly at the hilt of his sword. Unlike Naruto, Sasuke was never one to drop his defenses just because he was around a friendly face…but Sai, Sai was a different matter. Sai managed to stop his attack once and even still, despite his…situation…with Naruto just now, he still got wind of Sasuke hiding. The more he thought about Naruto’s mouth being so passionate with Sai’s, the more pissed off Sasuke became. Instead of dropping his guard as Sai released his pet, putting the ink painting back on the wall the way he had originally drawn it, Sasuke pulled out his sword entirely, pointing it at Sai’s head.
