    The Moon had finally
    shed his tears
    Over the longing of
    the River's end
    No more the seductive
    kiss
    That end the night
    with a bitter farewell
    Nothing said leaves
    everything left behind
    Autumn picks up
    where our lover's left

    --------------------------------------

It was mid-day when they arrived at the gates of Konoha. After they had made a quick stop at Otafuku villiage for something to eat, the two anbu and one child captive made their swift way through the forest. On the way to the villiage, however, Naruto couldn't help but notice the obvious way his subordinate would take quick looks at him. Carrying the kid, he couldn't look himself nor could he bring the situation to light. They would have to wait until they were alone to do that.

It was still unclear of how much the kid knew about their identities, but somehow, both men knew that this kid could be trusted.

As they had approached the open gates of their villiage, they noticed that there were three anbu standing in the shadow of the entrance. The chuunin guards stepped aside to allow the three access to their comrades.

"Well captain what took you so long?" a woman asked, she had blond french braided hair to the half of her head, the ends spiking every which way and the rest of her hair was short and spiked from behind as well. The two other anbu, a slacked, lazy looking man, and a pudgy looking blond one as well, crowded around the woman. "Tsunade-hime was very worried for you, we were just about to go look for you."

"Gomen," although it couldn't be seen, Naruto smiled from behind his mask, vulpine grin for vulpine grin. "There was a situation we had to take care of."

Kakashi knew he wasn't talking about his weakened state. There had been something building up between them eversince the boy, now man, had become a jounin. Unfortunately for him, Naruto had already been married to that whore who calls herself a wife.

"So everything is taken care of then, Captain?" the round shinobi asked from behind the woman. With a pause, Naruto answered:

"Yes, but we have another issue on hand. You three go back home, we can handle this." with that said, the three shinobi teleported out of sight, leaving the two homecoming anbu and the two chuunin guards. Naruto turned to one of the men. "Has there been recent activity surrounding Akatsuki?"

"No sir, no information has been released to us chuunin at least. By word of mouth," //He means our friends.// "They are planning on making a move on Konoha, but it's yet to be confirmed, sir."

"Good," Naruto casually walked passed the chuunin guards and through the threshold of the gates, "treat me to a bowl of ramen later, Iruka?"

"I suppose." the chuunin guard smiled contently as he watched his surrogate son walk passed him and onwards to the tower.

Now it had been once said that if Tsunade was ever not in her office, and not gambling, drinking, sleeping or avoiding work, then trouble was brewing. And he brewed right in her office. For the second time anyone had known her, Tsunade was the one being waited on. She had been running around in the Hokage belongings in the library doing god knows what, and keeping Konoha's number two high tempered ninja locked inside a stuffy office.

Naruto took one of the two only chairs provided for visitors, Kakashi took a stand behind Naruto as he rather uncharacteristically protected Kotetsu in his arms as he slept. Kakashi couldn't help but keep looking at the two young shinobi. His student had turned leader only six months ago, but already, as Kakashi had promised four years ago, Naruto was a much stronger shinobi than him.

After most of the crazy battles between the renegade Sasuke and the golden hero Naruto had ended, Naruto had only proved to surpass all of his predecessors who call themselves ninja. Advancing passed Shikamaru in level, Neji in grace, Sakura in strength, and Sasuke in skill, he had climbed his way to the Anbu Captain title he now held. Yet he had yet to figure out how to beat Lee in speed. It involved something called super glue, large, durable rubber bands and a bucket full of quick dry cement.

Two hours had passed by and Kotetsu was still sleeping in Naruto's arms and the three of them together were waiting for the Hokage to appear.

"I swear that woman just likes to make me wait!" Naruto hissed loudly. He would have yelled but he wanted the luxury of saying names and being more Naruto-like. Kakashi couldn't help but chuckle at Naruto's behavior. Even after all this time, Naruto was still the same, a constant that Kakashi had become to depend on.

"C'mon Naruto-sensei," said man flinched at the title he was just given, "you can't really expect her to be here all the time."

"Of course I do!" Naruto turned half his body around in the chair so he could look Kakashi directly in the eye. Which of course ended up being a mistake as memories proceeded to fill his mind. Of Kakashi laying underneath him, twisting his body and thrusting his hips up to meet his as he pounded into that lovely flesh. The way he moaned and pleaded to him to keep continuing. Naruto quickly turned around to keep his blush from being aparent to the other man. But knowing Kakashi, he already knew. "She should always be here. It's irresponsible."

Kakashi had walked to two steps toward the sitting Captain and leaned down to whisper in his ear. Naruto stiffened visibly.

"Naruto, it was pretty irresponsible of you to not contact her. You know you're going to be in trouble over that don't you?" Kakashi still stood behind the blond. Naruto turned back around to face the man and was about to tell Kakashi off, but something happened just then. Kakashi had taken off both their masks with lightning speed and was face to naked face. Only inches away from kissing, Kakashi gave Naruto the option of accepting the kiss or not. The lower half of Kakashi's mask was lowered passed his lips, all three scars, old and new, graced his face. Naruto had, like before, leaned in on instinct. Their lips connected and the fire that Naruto thought had been extinguished blazed up again.

It was getting rediculous, Kakashi had suprisingly stirred emotions within himself that he had no idea how to handle. He had been in love before, but had been turned down most gently. Naruto had had many encounters with sexual partners where both sides felt in love, but weren't. This feeling was new, profound and unwanted. He had a wife, Kakashi was married to his sister, Hitomi would surely kill him if she had even knew what was going on right now.

Kakashi deepened the kiss, snaking his tounge inside Naruto's most passive mouth to coax the younger man's organ into play. It was when another organ decided to play that Naruto knew when to say no.

"Kashi, please." Naruto wanted more, they both knew it, that was why it was so frustrating. Wives be damned, these two loved eachother. But because of the strict marriage licences in all shinobi countries, their fornication could be counteracted with a harsh penalty had either wives objected, and Hitomi would surely object. So it was with renewed vigor that Naruto tried keeping his hormones in check and Kakashi away. "I can't... you shouldn't."

"I can take care of myself, Naruto-chan. " Kakashi had reluctently pulled up his cloth mask and pulled down both of their porcielan masks. Kakashi's was still broken but thankfully, his second mask still hid his features.

"Yeah, but you've never had to deal with Hitomi." Naruto said quietly. Hitomi was a force to be reconed with. When they had been dating, she was sweet and kind and let Naruto do what he wanted. That was until they got married four and a half years ago. She had quickly turned into a witch. She kept him from going out with his friends, he couldn't drink, had to eat all of her food, which wasn't all that bad, and attend to her every need. He had enough energy and patience to deal with her, but he was quickly losing this battle. Every new moon, the Kyuubi has decided to assimilate the host even more. There were no longer any more talk between the two entities, but Naruto knew Kyuubi was up to something. Any other time now, the demon would only answer cryptically "Preparing."

"Sorry to keep you two waiting." Tsunade had suddenly walked in. Kakashi took a step back and stood at attention. Naruto turned back toward the Hokage and tried to forget about what had just happened. "There had been something that needed my immediate attention."

This said in all seriousness, Naruto had to believe her, even if she had tended to lie just as much as Kakashi.

"Because I have been infromed by the rest of your team about the boy, I had to make some quick arrangements." Tsunade took a seat behind her desk and began shuffling papers around. "Now, to the point... brat."

Naruto had stiffened and prepared himself for ht verbal attack.

"Why the hell havent' you reported in earlier? WHat had kept you from telling me what the hell was happening?" she hadn't quite yelled, but that didn't mean she was upset.

"I'm sorry ma'am." Naruto answered. "I was neglectful of my duities. Rather, i was selfish with the time I had to find shelter, get the poison out of my subordinate, look for food and attend to another problem all together. Your right, I should have found time to send a pigeon and write, in extensive length, of our situation."

//Another problem. This time he doesn't mean us. The assimilation is getting more difficult.// Kakashi stood silent behind his captain.

"Naruto, I am willing to ignore the neglet on your part of report. But the council is not" //Ah, the council.// Naruto huffed. The council had been on his back since the day he was born. IT was getting more and more difficult in getting naruto to take more of the Hokage required missions. He was to be the next Hokage, but he wasn't even a candidate. "Naruto, you must understand that you need to walk more lightly than an S-rank snoopin around in my underware drawer." //Okay, that came out of nowhere, what did I miss?//

"That being said, you have to build the strength they want, the skill they want, everything they want you need to fulfill beyond that, just to get on their good graces."

"You think I don't understand?! I'm busting my balls out there, trying to not make even the slightest mistake. If I even sneeze in the wrong direction I get admonished. Baa-chan, Kakashi could have died out there." he fished around in his pouch to pull out a vial of blood-like substance. "Neigei. I almost hadn't caught it, but Kyuubi urged me to check on him." He nodded to Kakashi. "He was originally struck with Umegei, but it had evolved to Neigei. You can tell that to council. Kyuubi could've stayed quiet, but he choseto tell me what was in his system."

Naruto threw the vial of poison onto thee desk and glared at her through his mask. Kakashi wasn't sure when Naruto drew the poison out of him, but was glad for it.

"Well, since your already getting used to the kid, might as well tell you." Tsunade said smugly. At that time, Shizune walked in and brought the Hokage her lunch, Ton-ton in tow. Tsunade quickly grabbed a dango and chewed happily on the sweet meat. //Tsunade is smiling. Dear god alive help me.// Naruto sweated.

"What do you mean?" Naruto replied as quietly as possible. "Getting used to..."

"Well, I've decided, in a fit of brilliance I might add, that you and your wife should adopt this kid."

"What!!" Naruto stood up suddely causing Ton-ton to back into a small table and knock over some brushes. Through the clattering, Kotetsu decided to wake up then. He cuddled deeper in to Naruto's embrace then opened his eyes. All attention turned to the boy.

"Just leave him here Captain, and send the Uzumaki's to pick him up." whether or not the kid had been listening the whole time didn't matter anymore. The kid was to be a part of Naruto's life now, and would eventually learn of his identity.

    -------

"So," the young boy looked up to his new father. "what should I call you?"

"Uh... Naruto-otou-san?" Naruto said hopefully. He was casually dressed in shades of blue and black, having long ago ditched his bright orange on account that Hitomi hated orange.

"That's too long. How about just Naru-san? Or Otou-san?" Kotetsu said lightly beside his father. Naruto and him had been walking around the villiage for a long time now on a seemingly directionless search for some unknown thing.

"I'm sorry Kotetsu-kun, but I'm still trying to get used to it." suddenly, there was a shrill scream behind the two wandering souls.

"OH MY GOD!!" It as Hitomi, she was shorter than Naruto by two heads, had chestnut brown hair that was as short as Sakura's and styled just the same. Large breasts and for her body type, long legs. "Naruto he's gorgeous!!"

Without meaning to, Naruto thought of Kakashi's horrible experience with a mother who had loved her son too much. The man flinched at her fast approach to the two and stood comically behind Kotetsu.

"What's his name Naruto-kun?!" She scooped up the small boy into her breasts, I mean her arms, and hugged him firmly.

"Uh... Kotetsu." Naruto scratched the back of his head in much the same manner as he had when he was younger. Naruto was only nineteen, to be twenty in about nine hours. //Kakashi must be about thirty... damn he's old. Wait.// Naruto quickly tried to stop from thinking about the man. But it had been too late. Said silverhaired man came around the corner of the street with Sakura in tow.

"Oi, Naruto!" the pink haired girl waved excitedly. With the konoichi's announcement, Hitomi had quickly put her new toy, I mean son, back down to the ground below.

"Oh, Sakura-chan... how nice to see you." Hitomi had said with an anoyingly high pitched voice. "How's the baby making comming along huh? Shouldn't be too long though. Look how studly your man is. Well, Naruto hadn't been with me for so long it's hard to say it's even my fault we can't have children."

Even with her brandish way of talking in public about strictly private things, Naruto was now, thankfully immune to such speech. Having agreed with her that it may not even be her fault, it had taken some sort of heavy burden to be slung on his back along with trying to make Hokage, keeping his friends and comrades alive, fighting off the Akatsuki, and dealing with demonic assimilation.

"Well... yes, it shouldn't be too long. Eheh." Sakura sweatdropped. It was atrocious of the way this woman talked about her brother. Even worse, Naruto just stood back and took it.

"Yes well, Naruto just got back and had even brought a son along home with him. He's very thoughtfull of my needs." she sniffed. "You know it's been hard for me Sakura... trying to keep these beastly men away from me and trying to be faithful to Naruto-kun."

Naruto rolled his eyes, or he would've had he still had his balls. Kotetsu couldn't help but laugh slightly at how absurd his life had just gotten. Just the other night he was with a family he hadn't really cared for, and now he was thrust into a world with shinobi, son to a future Hokage who's in love with his subordinate, who ever that was.

"I love him so much you know. But it's hard." Hitomi had begun crying, instantly reaching out for the other woman. Naruto was about to rush up and take his wife into his own arms but he was tugged from behind into an alley way. "But we have a son now, right Naruto?"

Hitomi turned around to see nobody but the market crowds. Even Kotetsu had seemed to dissapear, if only to a vendor selling squid. Hitomi let Sakura go and stomped her foot. "AHH, NARUTO!!!"

    -------

Some blocks away, Kakashi had dragged Naruto behind him. The blond-haired ninja couldn't help but be curious as to what Kakashi had to say this time. And with Sasuke gone on a mission himself, he couldn't take his frustration out on a little training. Instead, he decided to takle this thing head on. After some time walking down one ally, Naruto finally turned around the ninja pulling him by the forearm.

"Alright Kakashi, let's get this over---mm..." Naruto's lips had been sealed with the taller man's own. Naruto felt himself being pushed up against the wall, and now it was his turn to be passive. As much as he hated cheating on his wife, he longed for Kakashi's sweet taste.

Kakashi pushed Naruto until his back bumped against a graffiti wall, the artist was a twelve year old rebelous blond sneaking out of class years ago. Naruto's shoulder muscles tensed and his arms grabbed onto the sides of Kakashi's replacement vest. Both men's lips burned with hot pleasure. Their tounges saught out each other, wanting more contanct, Kakashi moved his body to become flush up against his long desired lover. The silverhaired man's arms came between Naruto's back and the wall behind him to grab him up in a close embrace. One that Naruto had been given the cue to push away.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing, Hatake?" Naruto only slightly pushed the taller man away. He truely didn't want it to be over, but his promise to his wife was keeping him from continuing this sinful bliss. "I had already told you..."

"Why won't you just admit that you don't regret that night?" Kakashi practically yelled. The alley was dark and not quite deserted. An old homeless mand occupied the same allyway, but was too intoxicated to give a damn about a couple of gay shinobi problems.

"What the fuck do you mean?" Naruto pushed his way passed Kakashi, he vainly attempted to hide the tears brimming up. He was confused. Hitomi was to blame for that. "I already told you... it was a one time deal. So get used to it!!"

"If it was a deal..." Kakashi wasn't giving up so easily. It was frustrating to know that Naruto wanted him just as much. The feelings were mutual, but Naruto was still pushing away. Didn't the boy know that it was dangerous, even hurtfull, to keep pushing people away? Sasuke was a prime example. "You haven't yet allowed me to make my half of it."

Naruto paused, somewhere infront of the old man, and shook his head. He lifted his head up to the sky, hoping for something, someone, to take this situation away, which ever one was causing the most pain... hell he would even do for Shinigami's presence about now. But Kyuubi and Shinigami hadn't quite got along since childhood so that was out of the question. "...Kakashi, please."

The blond had stepped back into the crowd, and into the light. It was easier to ignore Kakashi in the large crowd, where they weren't alone and together. Naruto was about to locate his wife when he was tugged the opposite way again.

    "Dammit Kakashi..."

"Kakashi? Damn Naruto you've been away way too long. It's time to get you drunk I think." It was Kiba. Him, Akamaru, Shino and Ino had seemed to be his second barage of abductee's this afternoon. Rather accepted and anticipated abductee's.

"Damn Kiba." said man let Naruto go and they trotted down the street toward a bar they had usually occupied at this time of day. "It's still too early for me. I just got back from a mission."

"Pah... that's bullshit Naruto." It was Ino. That beautiful woman had always had a way with men.... brute verbal force. Where Sakura had physical strength and could break a man's bones, Ino could break a man simply by words. "It's your birthday tomorrow, is Shitomi even going to let you out of the bed?"

"Don't call her that!" He was enraged at the way they all treated his wife. Couldn't they see that they were happy together...? Couldn't they? Naruto sighed defeatedly. "Your right though... let's go drink."

    "That's the spirit!!" Kiba yelled.

    -------

It was six o'clock when Naurto was compleatly drunk. Suprisingly it had only taken him two hours to get sloshed. Even Shino had a little buzz and was talking very passionately to a pole.

"Alright Naruto... your about to be twenty tomorrow!" Ino had said loudly.

"Oh god don't remind me!" Naruto feigned exasperation.

He had to admit, this was the most fun he had in a very long time. It seemed weird to him to be able to account for most things according to when he got married. The three of them, because Akamaru wasn't drinking and was playing D.D. for Kiba and Shino tonight, sat in a booth in a dark corner, enjoying the privacy given to them. Bottles of beer, pints of ale and shot's of liquor had filled their table. There was much laughing and everyone around them had seemed to catch some of the joy that was coming from the three shinobi.

"You know! I couldn've had anyone..." Naruto said drunkenly. "But I'm married... to Shito---Hiro--Hitomi."

The rest of them agreed by nodding their heads. Even Shino's pole seemed to understand what the blond was trying to get at.

"You know, Ino... Kashi." Naruto paused... was he really going to say this. "Kashi, is a good man... Sakura deserves him."

Naruto took another swig of his amber ale when there was a comotion coming from the front of the bar.

"Where is he? I know he's here!"

//Oh, shit!!// Naruto ducked underneath the table as an enraged brunette made her way towards their table. It was with great luck that he hid so quickly under the table that she hadn't seen him. Akamaru had slipped passed him underneath the table and climbed knowingly up to where Naruto had just occupied.

"You!" Naruto could see her small feet and slim legs from where he was sitting, but couldn't tell who she was even talking to. "Where is he? You always try to take him out drinking. Don't you know he has a problem with that? He needs to stop drinking, it 's entirely your fault if he gets sick."

"Look, Sh--Hitomi..." //Holy cow Kiba, it's been nice knowing you pal.// "He's not here. We tried to get him to come and drink with us but he went to go train."

"Train? TRAIN?! He just got back from a mission, why the hell would he need to train? He's got to stay at the house with me! God... Sasuke even had the balls to ask if he could host his birthday party. ARAHH!" she must've pounded on the table because one of the drinks had spilled over the edge, completely soaking Akamaru's fur. "When you see him, tell him he need's to come home!"

And just like that, she was gone.

    -------

"Oh and Naruto don't forget that you have to get a new outfit, everything you have is too ugly to be worn to your birthday party. Oh look at this! Buy this for me will ya?" She grabbed some random object off the grocery shelves and threw it in the cart.

The next morning had found the new family out shopping for food and clothes for Kotetsu. Although it seemed that all they were buying were things for Hitomi. The cart had kept growing as Naruto's wallet had kept shrinking. It was a good thing that he saved his money when he was a kid, because he'd never be able to stay a shinobi with the way Hitomi had been spending.

"That's what we've been trying to tell you Naruto," Akane had said during one of their first missions. "she doesn't want you to be a shinobi any more."

"Your making it up, Akane. She loves me, she doesn't mind that I'm a ninja."

"Naruto, should I get beef curry or chicken curry?" Hitomi asked.

"Beef, chiken curry tastes aweful." Naruto wrinkled his nose in disgust.

"Hm... Well I like chicken curry. Do you Kotetsu-chan?" Hitomi had ended up grabbing the chicken curry anyway and kept on mowing throught the grocery store.

    -------

"It's about time you get here Uzumaki's!!" Ino had yelled as the family of three had entered one of Sasuke's newer houses. The old complex had been destroyed upon his arrival. Thanks to Naruto's wind element and Sasuke's fire element, it was an easy enough job. "What took you so long huh?"

"Oh Naruto kept fussing about the shirt I bought for him, so I had to find a new one for him to wear." Hitomi answered back sweetly. You could just hear the whole rooms' occupants sweatdrop. "But here we are!"

The party had started at six, but the Uzumaki family hadn't showed up until eight. Naruto couldn't tell if Hitomi had been trying to be fasionably late or was just holding back on purpose. But what did he care? He was there now and that was all that mattered. There was music being played out in the courtyard as well as a wet bar. Snacks and hour'd ovres were being served inside. It seemed that Hitomi and Sakura's list of guests had filled up both inside the house and outside as well, making for a slighltly croweded party.

Sakura's guests included all their friends from the academy days, the Sabaku family and some of their own friends, even Tsunade had taken some time off to come, if only to start a gambling table.

Hitomi's list was more... unusual. Mostly men, they were unknown to most of the other's, Naruto had only known them because they had spent some time looking for kid's in the adoption house and just from visiting them in the market. Naruto was able to get along with them alright, but it was the rest of his friends that were getting uncomfortable with the civilian men.

Regretably, as soon as Naruto had made his way into the house, he had already been looking for that masked man. But he was no where to be found. //Perhaps they hadn't shown up yet.// However unprobable that was, Naruto grabbed the nearest full beer and drank it.

Somewhere within the large house, a couple had made their way through it looking for a suitable room to occupy for five or ten minutes.

They eventually found themselves in the closet, not the smallest compartment in Sasuke's house, bt fit enough for what Kakashi had planned to do. He needed somesort of release before he saw the man of his desires.

"Crimmany-sakes Kakashi! Why do we have to do it here?" his wife complained. Even though she aided him in his removal of clothing. She pressed a slender thigh in between her husbands leg's, when he moaned sweetly into her ear.

"Naruto..." but he had meant to say 'Sakura'. She had not missed that though.

    "What?" Sakura gasped.

"What I meant was... was that Naruto and Hitomi are using another closet... so this one was the only availiable one." //Nice recovery Kakashi.// Even though he wasn't even sure the two had even made it yet, it was too late to take it all back.

"You mean they're already here?" Kakashi leaned in and sucked on Sakura's neck. She didn't mind it but it wasn't her most pleasurable spot. Kakashi had only tried to remember if it was Naruto's favorite spot as well.

"Yeah, didn't you hear Ino?" he remembered vaguely of Ino yelling something about Uzumaki's.

"Oh... shit, I guess not.. just hurry will you? I want to see Naruto."

    //Me too.//

    ------

Everyone had slowly migrated out to the courtyard when there was some racey music being played and mentionings of Kiba and Akamaru dancing. Naruto had already blown out his candles and drank a few more beers after receiving his gifts from friends. Kotetsu had found some other kids to play with... Naruto had vaguely hear of a Sarutobi kid causing trouble and guessed that Kotetsu would rightly find this kid to hang out with. Hitomi had dissapeared within the hour of their arrival.

Naruto was standing near the entrance of the livingroom, looking serenly out towards the partyin mass. Thinking of the times they shared, of the memories being made, and of the future they were raising. Naruto felt a familiar presence behind him and knew exaclty who it was.

"Nice a'ya lending out your new house for a rowdy party." Naruto took a small sip of the white wine that was given to him after the cake had been administered.

"No problem Dobe." Sasuke made his way around Naruto and leaned up against the wall of his house. The covered porch shielded their view of the waning moon. //Too soon, how much more pain do you plan on giving me Kyuubi?// "That's what friends are for."

"Yeah... or so it says in a book right?" Naruto said in good humor reffering to their friend Sai, who was currently trying to dance with Kiba, and doing pretty good job at it. "Heh... we sure have a lot of friends, don't we?"

"A lot to protect you mean." It wasn't a question. Sasuke knew what Naruto meant, even after all this time, they knew eachother the most.

"Hn." Naruto took another sip of wine.

"Ah shit." both men focused their attention to a blond making her way up the three stairs to go into the living room. "Tell me again why the fuck you two aren't together?"

"Hehe, c'mon Temari, I told you before." Naruto laughed lightly. He rememebered that night so clearly. He had been so hurt, but was reasured that he wasn't hated for being the way he was. And from there on, they had only grown closer to eachother, becoming brothers.

"Yeah, yeah, Uchiha said he only wanted to be friends and the whole bit, I know." She sighed and made her way into the house. "But you still deserve happiness brat."

Naruto couldn't retaliate with that. He knew he wasn't truely happy with Hitomi, but what was he to do? He was married, he had to be faithful to here. That was why he was currently trying to avoid Sakura so he could alltogether avoid Kakashi.

"She's right you know." Sasuke said. Naruto turned to look at him and smiled, a genuine smile. Both men looked upon the makeshift dance floor. The flood of colorful lights flashing in and out of candice enjoyment. The Dj had done a good job of keeping the peace between two highly ambiguous groups of people. Every one seemed to be having a good time. That was what Naruto wanted, even if he wasn't having a good time. "Want to dance?"

"What?" Naruto snapped his head around towards his long time friend.

"I'm not repeating myself Dobe. Want to or not?" Sasuke lifted himself away from the house and held out his hand to his brother in arms.

"S-sure." Naruto put the glass of wine on a table nearby and took Sasuke's offered hand. It was weird, even though more than 80% of the people present knew that he was gay before getting married. There were two reasons for his uncomfortability. One, he was about to dance with his friend, a man that he had asked out and had been carefully rejected. Two, his sinful lover was watching with scrutinous eyes, or eye, as the two made their way to the dance floor. The people had seemed to part as the two made their way to their place.

Once a slow song had been started Sasuke took the lead.

"Wow. I honestly didn't think you would be seme, teme." Naruto said teasingly. They held eachother comfortably as they enjoyed the time they were having.

"Well, I have my pride you know." Sasuke leaned in closer, but not too close. "Besides, my sexuality is in question right now and I was wondering if we even had a shot anymore."

Sasuke wasn't drunk, infact, the raven had been carefull as to not even drink tonight. But Naruto on the other hand was feeling too out of it, even though he had been sobered by Sasuke's open comment. Naruto was lost, and he hated it. Here was another man, a friend, that he could have, but his wife wasn't going to like it one bit. He'd be suprised if he was even going to be alive after tonight.

    "Sasuke, I--" he sighed. " I can't, I'm married you know."

"To a bitch." they stopped. "I'm sorry Naruto. It's just, every one can see you're not happy. Just do something for yourself for once will ya. What happened to the Naruto I knew?"

"Teme. He's lying in a closet somewhere in a fetal position waiting for his mistress to beat him up some more. I know I'm not the happiest married man, but I have a comitment, and I'm sticking to it." Naruto leaned forward and pecked Sasuke on the cheek. "But thank you for the concern."

"Alright everyone!" It was Sakura. She was standing infront of the Dj with a microphone in hand and a devilish smile.

"Oh god who gave that woman a mic?" Naruto chuckled and allowed himself to be losely held by Sasuke.

"Now, I know everyone should be pretty sauced right now and some of us have missions tomorrow." she looked to her teammate Kiba and Sai who were holding onto eachother trying not to fall over. "So I've decided to wrap things up with one more slow song. Even though Sasuke stoll Naruto's dance tonight, there's no reason why our favorite future Hokage shouldn't have one more!"

"Dear lord kill me now." Naruto mumbled, Sasuke couldn't help but laugh at the woman's antics.

"So, I have here, a box of names that Dj Olive [1] is going to pick. Everyone is in it so when he calls your name please make your lovely way towards this sexy blond and have the last dance." to the side she spoke to the Dj. "If you would."

The Dj reached into the box of names and shuffled them around a bit with his hand. Mostly everyone was holding their breath. Some of them pleading not to dance, because they simply suck at it, and the others praying to have their chance while Hitomi was MIA. Dj Olive had pulled out a piece of paper and read it outloud:

    "Hatake Kakashi!"

The world stopped. No way in heaven was that even possible. Out of all those names, he would gladly have taken... oh who the fuck was he kidding, he would have rather seen his wife come over the horizon and take all her jelous wrath out on himself. But was it was, she was no where to be seen.

"Alright honney, get up here. What do you mean you can't dance, I was just up here with you a minute ago. C'mon."

//Pleasedon'tcomepleasedon'tcum. Shit!// a little freudian slip. Naruto looked in the last direction he had seen the man and saw him making his slow way forward. //Of all times to back down Kakshi, you choose now?//

"Okay!! Dj, spin that shit!" Maybe Sakura was just a little drunk.

Kakashi was soon standing infront of the shorter blond. Both staring blatently at eachother, unsure of what next to do. Kakashi had his hands in his pocket and Naruto's hands were fiddling with the end of his shirt.

"So..." Naruto said, leaving his sentence open.

"Yeah..." Kakashi replied with stepping up cautiously and lending out his right hand. "May I have this dance?"

Naruto replied with blindly reaching for the offered hand. Their eyes had been locked since Kakashi entered the dance floor.

    "Kakashi, I-"

"You don't have to say anything." The two made their way accross the dance floor, gracefully sweeping passed the crowed. "I'm sorry for being so forcefull."

"No." Naurto stopped the man he loved. "I'm the one who should be sorry. I've been pushing you away for so long now. I do love you, 'Kashi, but you have to understand where I'm coming from. Hitomi won't let me go even if I devote the rest of my unnatural life to being a ninja. I get the feeling she only want's to be with me because I'm going to be the Hokage."

"Well we've been trying to tell you that. But you're just too stubborn." Kakashi looked deeply into Naruto's eyes. The moon was just behind the man's head, shining brightly on all those present, but only present for the two men.

"I know...but." Kakashi stopped their movement, everyone dissappeared, their whole world narrowed down to just the two of them.

"Naruto, I'll love you forever, I'll be here for you, I want to be with you, if only you want me to be." Kakashi leaned down so their forehead protectors touched, their eyes closed in reverence.

"I do." Naruto leaned in closer. "I want you to be here with me."

Their lips touched, for that was all they could do with Kakashi's mask. The man had almost pulled it down when he remembered where they were. This time it was him that pulled back.

"What?" Naruto asked. He suddenly looked around and blushed hardcore. Neverbefore had he done this with another man in public. He looked around for Sakura's green eyes, they locked on. Sakura was indeed crying, but she was smiling. Naruto began hating himself, he was about to push Kakashi away when he heard a familiar voice. No not that highpitch voice, but a deep voice.

"ABOUT DAMN TIME CAP.!" It was Chouji. Soon after the round man's proclimation, everyone had begun to whistle and clap. It seemed surreal, like a dream. But in this dream, wasn't he supposed to be happy, and not feeling a dreadful presence?

"See Naruto, they don't care." Kakashi held onto his lover, then he looked down. "Naruto?"

    No answer.

    "Naruto!"

The man in his arms began shaking, his skin felt heated and it had sounded like he was growling. Kakashi looked up to the moon. "It's not time yet. What's wrong? Naruto!"

But Naruto couldn't answer, he looked up to his lover and smiled behind foggy red eyes. He whispered the word 'Love' before he passed out in Kakashi's arms.

    "Sakura!"

"Get him to the hospital!! Kakashi calm down, I think it'll be alright. Sasuke! It's the Kyuubi, we need the Hokage, where is she?!?!?"
