A/N: NO I DIDN�T FALL OFF OF A CLIFF!! I�m back and ready
for business!� Just note that this
chapter is the beginning of where the plot thickens, and where the first copy
was leading before I changed it. ^-^ finally the story will continue!� And note that I HATE Sakura, Ino is
tolerable, but they are both evil!� At least in this story.�
So the whole time they both will be cruelly OOC to Naruto.� No complaining! XP

Ch2: Of foxes, Uchihas and partys

�� Naruto
awoke to a strange sound.� Opening one
eye, Naruto instinctively grabbed a kunai, reactivated his henge, and sat up on
the couch.� Listening intently Naruto
didn�t hear anything.� Keeping his ears
open, the blonde walked into his kitchen, again, no sign of what had made the
noise.�
�� Dropping
the kunai on the table, Naruto decided that it was just his imagination, and
went to his bedroom to get dressed for the day�s training.� Walking over to his bedroom, Naruto was still
a little put off since he had no idea of what had awakened him.� With a yawn, Naruto reached to open his
bedroom door.� Pulling it open, a shout
of �HAPPY BIRTHDAY NARUTO!� ran throughout the room, and the rest of Naruto�s
small apartment.� Naruto was dumbstruck.� Around the small bedroom were all of his
friends, first and foremost, Sasuke Uchiha, who was normally a cold bastard,
giving him a small smirk.� Looking around Naruto was pleased to note
that there was no Ino or Sakura.
�� Naruto
grinned, tears coming to his eyes.�
Nobody had ever done anything this nice for him before.� Running up to the Uchiha, Naruto promptly
tackled him, with a �Thank you Sasuke!��
Naruto was crying somewhat now, sitting on top of Sasuke.� And he thought he saw a genuine smile come
from the stock Uchiha but it was quickly hidden behind a mask of indifference, his only response the standard �hn.�
�� Trying to
push the blonde off of him, Sasuke growled as he realized that the blonde had
no intention of moving anytime soon.�
�Dobe get off!� said Sasuke, an empty threat of a painful death in his
dark eyes.� Those midnight eyes that when
the sun caught them and his hair in a certain way, he simply glowed.� Now that Naruto thought of it, anytime that
he saw Sasuke, the Uchiha seemed to always be standing in a ray of sun that was
just for him.� Everything about him, just�
Beautiful?
Interjected the kaisune kit.
�Beautiful� Agreed Naruto.
�� Agreeing
with Sasuke�s wishes, the blonde got up, offering a hand to the Uchiha that, to
Naruto�s surprise, accepted.� Hauling
Sasuke up, Naruto had finally realized how many people had actually had showed
up for his surprise party, for most of them had dispersed from his bedroom, and
were currently lounging around various parts of his apartment.�� His closest friends were still standing in
the bedroom, waiting to talk to him, and he walked up to each of them, nearly
tackling them all in a fierce hug.� Lee
was first as he was standing closest.
�Hey bushy brows!� Who told you about this?� For although Naruto
was glad that Lee was here, he still didn�t know who he had to clobber for
arranging a surprise party!� Not that he didn�t like it, but it was a really dangerous
time for anyone around him, for he was only a week away from his second heat,
and after experiencing the first, wanted to stay as far away from people as
possible.� But still this was his first
birthday party in� EVER!
�� Lee just
shrugged, �I don�t know.� But the blazing
youth inside of you shall lead you to the truth!� YOSH!�� Naruto and Sasuke sweat dropped.�
�� Walking
over to the next person, he greeted the raven hared Hyuuga with a clap on the
arm.� �Neji, long time no see.�� Neji just gave a non-comitant grunt, adding
�Happy birthday Naruto.��
�So who put this together Neji?� Asked Naruto calmly, hoping
to pry an answer out of the Hyuuga, but was disappointed as Neji turned around
and walked away leaving a fuming Naruto behind.�
�Smug bastard.�
Muttered Naruto.�
He had started to pursue the Hyuuga, but he was stopped by a quiet
�N-Naruto-k-kun!� Ha-Happy
birthday!�
�� Turning
to the shy Hyuuga Naruto was about to say something when his jaw hit the
floor.� For the normally shy Hyuuga
heiress was wearing a verrrrry short red skirt, and a
open black t-shirt, with a dark red undershirt, with a nice cut that showed off
her assets very well.� Naruto had a
slight blush on his cheeks as he replied to Hinata.� �Um� Hey Hinata.� You look great!�� He said, making the shy girl go into another
one of her sputtering sprees.� Naruto
gave her a small hug and left with a �See you later Hinata!�� Aynara was laughing hysterically at the
Hyuuga�s antics and Naruto had thrown in a mental chuckle of one or two of his
own.�
Poor
girl, managed Aynara through her laughing, When are you going to tell her the truth?
�Which truth?� About my addiction to a
certain Uchiha?� Or the part that I�m gay?�
Aynara shrugged inside his head, Either but I have to see the latter!� The poor girl.� She keeps striving to get what she can�t have
Naruto sighed.
�� Walking around the rest of his small bedroom he greeted, Tsunade
with the standard �baa-chan� and a hug a muttered �Thanks� into her shoulder.� She just smiled and gave him a pat on the
back.� Naruto also ran into Kakashi and
Iruka, who as usual when they were together in public, were standing extremely
close to each other for being �just friends� as they said anytime their
relationship was asked.� One would
normally see a fuming Kakashi walking home alone after that statement.�
�� Naruto
left his bedroom with Sasuke trailing behind, giving some idle small talk or
welcoming to his other guests: Some of the older academy students, including
Kohonamaru and the gang.� Walking back
into his living room, Naruto noticed with some shock that streamers and
balloons had been put up, transforming the plain room into a place worthy of a
party.� Looking over his right shoulder,
he noticed a long plume of spiky gray hair standing by his window.� Smirking Naruto quickly walked over to the
Sennin and muttered �Sexy no jutsu� before pouncing on his �Ero-sennin� with a
loud,� �Jiraiya-kun!�� Looking over his shoulder Jiraiya jumped into
the sky with a �Wahoooo!�� Before he passed out from the nosebleed.� Naruto, who had transformed back into his
henge, was laughing hysterically as were all of his guests including
Tsunade.�
�� Finally calming himself down, Naruto turned, to greet his
other guests.� Kiba and Akimaru were
found, as well as TenTen and Shino.�
Looking around, Naruto was finally sure that he had greeted everyone,
which included a surprising amount of people.�
Naruto was sure that he didn�t have nearly this many friends, but maybe
this birthday would prove him wrong.�
�� Sasuke who had been watching from the other side of the
room, walked over to Naruto, placing his hand on the blonde�s shoulder.� Naruto looked over at Sasuke with a confused
expression.� Sasuke just motioned for
Naruto to follow him, and turned to walk away.�
Following the Uchiha, Naruto was lead to right outside of his kitchen.� �Stay here dobe.� Said
Sasuke.� They were at the exact
distance so that Naruto couldn�t see what exactly what was in his kitchen, but
he could hear the ruckus inside.�
�� Sasuke quickly appeared again, giving a brief� �Come in
Naruto�.� Before
disappearing behind the door once more. Confused Naruto hurriedly
followed Sasuke through the door, and got his second surprise for his late
birthday party.� For sitting on his
kitchen table was a good three feet of gifts!�
Naruto wasn�t able to move.� In
his happy/shocked state the only sound that he could give to resemble talking
was a content purr of joy that passed his lips before being closely followed by
a scream of� �PRESENTS!!!!!!!�.
�� Naruto leapt onto his table, grabbing the first
gift.� His guests had gathered around and
were looking intently at the blonde, wanting to know what he got.� Tearing open the small box Naruto pulled out
a green one-piece jump suit.� Followed by an orange belt and a set of arm and leg weights,
weighing up at nearly 200 KGs.�
Turning to face Lee Naruto gave his �victory� sign with a �Thanks
Lee!�� The green clad ninja just smiled
and returned the symbol with �Now we can train together, showing off our fires
of youth!� Everyone present sweat dropped, and Jiraiya pounded him on the head,
saying �I don�t need anybody reminding me of Gai�
�� As the hours progressed, Naruto had finished opening his
presents, a new set of kunai and shuriken courtesy of TenTen, a months worth of
ramen from Neji, A polished picture frame from Hinata, a sculpture of a dog and
a fox, their tails intertwined, from Kiba.�
Naruto had froze the first time that he saw the statue, thinking that
his secret was out, but was relieved when Kiba said that it was just because
Naruto just �seemed� like a fox guy to him.�
Tsunade had given him a Katana that belonged to the forth hokage, which
earned a gasp from all present, and a strong blush from Naruto, who graciously
accepted.�
�� A quickly trashed copy of Icha Icha from Jiraiya, a set
of chakra training dummy�s for the training grounds from Shino, Iruka and
Kakashi gave him a black kimono, with the kanji for �power� on the back.� Once that present, being the last of the
stack, was opened, most of his guests left, including Kakashi and Iruka and
Tsunade.� Actually, not that Naruto
looked around, Sasuke was the only one left.� Looking over to where Naruto had hung the
picture, earlier in the party, that Sasuke had bought him, he was somewhat
disappointed that the Uchiha didn�t get him anything else.� But he couldn�t be too greedy, for he did get
a present from Sasuke, and he would value it more than any of the others.�
�� As if reading Naruto�s mind, Sasuke smiled and motioned
Naruto back into the kitchen.� �Forget
something dobe?� The stock Uchiha was� motioning towards a sealed scroll that
was sitting on Naruto�s counter, were his mountain of presents used to
reside.� Running over, Naruto picked up
the scroll and read the tag that was attached.�
��Happy birthday dobe�� Read
Naruto aloud, turning to Sasuke a large grin splitting his face.� Placing his hand on Naruto�s shoulder Sasuke
said �Open it.�
�� Obeying the Uchiha, Naruto cracked the wax seal, and
opened the scroll, seeing �hold on� written on the inside along with seals that
Naruto recognized as a transportation jutsu.�
Before Naruto could react, he and Sasuke, who was taken along due to
their attachment, were transported to the scrolls destination.
�� Naruto�s senses were all flooded with power, he could
feel it, smell it, taste it, pure chakra flowing all around, and through
him.� It was bliss.� But as quickly as it came on, it had gone,
leaving Naruto slightly flustered as he looked around, finding himself on a beach by a large lake.� The lake was surrounded by a large forest,
the setting sun gracing over the tops of the trees, giving them a godly
glow.� The setting sun also lit the lake,
making it look like liquid gold.� Naruto
was breathless.� The sight was more than
beautiful, it was beyond description.
�S-Sasuke, it�s so
pretty!�� Said Naruto
in obvious awe.
�I�m glad you like it Naruto,
happy birthday.�� Replied
the Uchiha, a sly grin coming over his face.� Pointing out towards the center of the lake,
Sasuke said, �Your last present is there.�
�In the
middle of the lake?� Asked Naruto, following Sasuke�s finger, for he
couldn�t see anything.� The sun glare
wasn�t helping either.
�Just wait dobe. You�ll see.�
Said Sasuke.�
And wait Naruto did, for nearly an hour, Naruto just sat content on the
lake�s beach, watching the beautiful sunset.�
As the sun sank behind the layer of trees, the lake started to glow as
if filled with diamonds.� Looking over at
Sasuke with a startled look, Naruto was surprised to find the Uchiha
nonchalant.
�Sasuke did you?� Asked
Naruto, not being able to finish the sentence, because he didn�t know exactly
what Sasuke had done.
�A simple genjutsu Naruto, but
look again.�� Said
Sasuke, pointing once again at the middle of the lake.� Squinting, Naruto now saw what Sasuke was
talking about.� A small oasis in the
middle of the lake was barley visible from shore.�
Remembering what Sasuke said
about his last present, Naruto dashed out, keeping himself
above the water with a small amount of chakra.�
Reaching the oasis, Naruto quickly found the small red box on the center
of the island.� Sasuke was close behind,
smiling at seeing Naruto so happy.�
Looking up at the Uchiha, Naruto pleaded to open the box, which received
a nod from Sasuke.�
�� Naruto needed no more coaxing, tearing off the ribbon
that bound the box together, Naruto threw the lid somewhere behind him.� Looking down at the box in his hands, Naruto
froze.� Slowly reaching into the box,
Naruto pulled out a small board that was wrapped in black velvet, but what was
on the black velvet, Naruto was sure was worth more than all of the Hokage�s
weapons, scrolls, and anything else to the Uchiha that had given it to
him.� For sitting on that black velvet,
were two blood red kunai earrings that would hang from the bottom of Naruto�s
ears.�
�And they match my real hair perfectly!� Thought
Naruto.
�� But that wasn�t all, for laying
in the bottom of the box was a gold chain necklace, and hanging from that
necklace was a ruby that was as thin as a fingernail, but as Naruto found as he
held it in his hands, nearly impossible to break.� And on the ruby, was painted the design of
the Uchiha�s bloodline trait, the Sharingan.�
Naruto was beyond shocked, he could tell that
this was a very valuable Uchiha heirloom, so why was Sasuke giving it to him?
�� As if sensing the question in the blonde�s eyes, Sasuke
said, �I have no need of them, and they would look great on you.� Mentally adding �a beautiful set for a beautiful person�.�� Jumping up, Naruto grabbed Sasuke in a tight
hug.� The Uchiha was shocked at first,
but then for the second time that day, surprised Naruto by returning the hug.� Whispering �Happy birthday Naruto� into said
ninja�s ear, Sasuke withdrew from the hug, and disappeared in a puff of
smoke.� Hoping that Naruto didn�t catch
his little �problem� that arose during the hug.
�� Dancing around in the earrings and necklace Naruto felt
like the he had just been named Hokage, he was having the best day of his life,
and he wouldn�t let anything spoil it!�
Returning into his apartment in his own puff of smoke, Naruto ran into
his bathroom, letting his real form take over.�
Looking in the mirror, Naruto was right, the
earrings were nearly exactly the same shade as his hair.� Dancing around like a teenage girl on prom
night with a hot date, Naruto went into his bedroom,
quickly stripping down to his boxers, and putting the necklace on the
nightstand, but letting the earrings stay in.�
Naruto fell asleep for the first time in a long time with a smile on his
face, much to the pleasure of an unknown voyeur.
�Sleep tight Kayhaku-sama.� Whispered the person, before disappearing into the night.�

-----------two
weeks later, two nights before the festival.------------------

�� Naruto had been dealing with his heat quite well.� He had a constant urge to find Sasuke and
pound his sexy ass into the ground, but luckily for Sasuke, and himself (for he
probably wouldn�t survive the encounter afterwards) he refrained from taking
any action.� But Naruto found it
increasingly difficult with the nearing ceremony, and the end of the month,
where his heat would be the strongest.�
It was two full days away, but Naruto already felt like he was standing
in the middle of a desert nearly all the time.�
Sighing, Naruto slipped out of his bed, and slipped on a loose black
t-shirt.� Walking over to his living
room, Naruto pulled on the pants that he had left there the night before.
�� Looking out the window, Naruto noticed that the sun was
just setting, wait� setting?!?�
�How long have I been
asleep?� Thought Naruto, rousing a sleepy Aynara.
Nearly ten hours kit. She replied, pacing
inside Naruto�s mind, trying to get her sleepy limbs working properly.
�Ten hours!� Wow, you must�ve been brutal!�� Said Naruto.� He and his sealed companion had been sparing
a lot recently.� If you could call Naruto
getting his ass handed to him constantly, sparring.� For being nearly exactly his age, he found
that unless he used his true power, he could barley even scratch the
demoness.� The reason for the constant
training, according to Aynara, was because she felt something �wrong� in the
air.� When Naruto asked what �wrong� was,
she just shrugged, and said, �It feels like change, and power, and that is
something I do not like� to which Naruto chuckled, �Since when do you not like
power?�� Aynara just shrugged.� �It�s just not right.�
�� Sitting on his floor, Naruto made a single hand sign and
muttered �Kaisune meditation jutsu�� Suddenly Naruto was standing in the
field that belonged to Aynara.� The
figure before him was an almost exact copy of Naruto in his demonic form.� However her femininity was given away by the
ample breasts, wider hips, and her facial features were more subtle.� Aynara was wearing a black kimono, not unlike
Sakura�s red one aside from color.� In
the back, a small hole was cut for her six tails swaying behind her.
Wait� six?!� Aynara usually only had two!
�I see you noticed my new additions.�
Purred Aynara, her voice smooth and soft, like a verbal silk.� To anyone else, her voice would be like a sirens, luring them in, it was a common vixen
trick.� However, Naruto considered her
his sister, and as such it had no effect on him.
�You�re leaving me in the
dust Aynara-chan!�� Said
Naruto, letting his demonic side take over, his two tails twitching in
annoyance.� �So what were they?�
The fox demoness smiled,
showing her fangs.� Walking up to Naruto,
she placed her hand on the back of his neck, her tails wrapping around his
legs.� Leaning in, as
if to kiss him, she whispered.�
�Well you know that I already had the same two as you, Ninjutsu and
genjutsu.� But while you have been
wasting these last two weeks, I�ve honed my taijutsu, and you could probably
guess the other three.�
Naruto smiled, he was used to
her trying to entice him, but as usual, it had no effect, thanks to his
personal preferences. �Charm, romance, and cunning I�m guessing by your
approach.�
Aynara grinned, �Very
good.� Now lets
see if you can catch up.�� Naruto�s eyes
opened wide, as he pushed himself out of her embrace just in time to avoid a
chakra powered claw swipe.� Landing a few
feet away Aynara smiled, �Good, good.�
But you can do better!�� Shouted the fox yokai as she charged, her claws and fangs bared.
�� For nearly an hour, the two fought, Naruto holding the
advantage one moment, Aynara holding him back the next.� By the end of the spar, they were both
panting and bloody.� Laying
on the ground, Aynara next to Naruto, they were both staring up at the
sky.� Suddenly a sharp pain shot down
Naruto�s spine.� Standing up, Naruto let
out a loud growl, as a mass amount of his remaining chakra surrounded his body
in a dark red cocoon.� The pain shot
again, and Naruto doubled over.� His two tails twitching madly.� A third blast of pain came, this one the most
severe, sending Naruto to his knees.�
Then suddenly the pain stopped.�
Aynara was smiling above Naruto, his face covered in sweat as he looked
up.� He grinned back.� He knew that pain well.� Standing up Naruto confirmed what he
thought.�
�� A third tail was now swaying behind him, Naruto could
feel the power that had been released, he knew more about taijutsu now by
instinct of mastery from his imprinted memories from his parents, than even the
Hokage could�ve taught him.� He was now
the best taijutsu fighter in Konohana.�
Reveling in the new power, Naruto tried out some of the new complex and
powerful taijutsu moves that his instinct had taught him.� Aynara smiled as she watched Naruto, amazed
at how much stamina he had, for she was still extremely tired from the spar.
�� Once he was satisfied with his knew knowledge, Naruto
trotted over, said a short �Talk to ya later!� and re-entered his conscious
body.� Running into his bathroom, Naruto
admired his new tail, and wrapped his three tails around him like a triple
wound belt.� Hmm�� It might pass as a belt, but he wouldn�t push
his luck.� Looking at his clock, Naruto
saw that it was nearly ten at night, and took of his shirt and pants, that were
now soaked with sweat, and fell into bed.�
�One more
day until the ceremony.�� Muttered the red-head before falling into a peaceful slumber.�
