Neji stood before his uncle waiting patiently
for his presence to be noticed, "Yes, what is it
Neji?"
"Hisashi-sama, I can to ask you about Hinata."
His eyes watched his uncle still staring at a
scroll that lay before him.
"What of her?"
"I do not doubt that you know that is best for
Hinata-san. But I feel questionable about the
Uchiha, he has returned as a missing-nin on probation,
do you believe that this is the best match for
her?"
The older man looked up at his nephew, "Neji,
Hinata, has become strong, but still she is not
strong enough to lead our clan. It was Tsundae
and Sasuke themselves that can to me and proposed
the match. I felt it would be best for Hinata to
become wife to a strong man."
"What if he proves to be like his brother?" Neji
asked looked intently at his uncle, he didn't want
Hinata to suffer.
"I doubt it will my boy. But. . .if he proves to
be like him. . . it is to be her burden. Let us
speak no more of this. Accompany Hinata to the
Uchiha compound, he is to expect her there for
lunch."
Neji bowed and exited in a fury, he knew well that
her father could be cold, in fact he understood it
all to well. Hizashi, his father, knew the coldness
that was inside of Hisashi. Hinata was a different
matter, she was gentle, not so afraid, but still
fragile in a way, and her father didn't care.
He walked into the tea room and found her there sitting
quietly, staring outside and wearing her
nice clan outfit.
"Hello Neji nii-san." She said in her quiet voice.
Again his heart jumped, he still could not pin point
what it was that made it do that, "Hinata-san, your
father. . ."
"Yes," she interrupted, "I'm ready Neji nii-san."
she said as she stood up. She walked to him staring
down at the floor until her head nearly touched his
chest, then she hugged him tightly
Not knowing what came over him, Neji returned the hug.
He held her tightly and buried his face in her hair,
it was as if he would lose her if he let her go. He
heard her breath in his scent and could sense her
smile to herself. Slowly he willed himself to let
her go, "Let's go before we are late."
She looked up at him, the light shade of blue she wore
made her look so beautiful, "Thank you for hugging me."
She smiled proudly as she made her way out of the house
and down the path out of the Hyuuga Compound.

Hinata walked nervously besides Sasuke, he had taken it
upon himself to show him the Uchiha compound. He would
only speak when would point out specific rooms and items
that belonged to his deceased family members. She cast
her ivory eyes down, remembering the Sasuke from before.
She remembered it said that he wanted to regenerate the
Uchiha name, and in a way she felt that she would be the
best to do it. After all they both did have strong blood
lines.
"I hope you will not always fear me Hinata."
Her head shot up at his question, she had hoped he would
not be able to read it, "I-I-I, Sasuke-san . . ."
"Heh. I thought so." He stopped walking "You know Hinata
I didn't think that you would have agreed to this marriage
so easily."
Her cheeks lit up as he stepped closer to her, "S-sasuke-san"
"Nor did I think that your father would agree either. You
see Hinata, you are stronger, and I would like to pass on
the name of my clan to honor my family. When we were younger
you were much too quiet of a girl, and when you are in my
presence you still are." He took another step closer that
he could clearly see her shake, "But I hope to keep you from
being so quiet."
Hinata found that she had to gulp a giant knot that had
formed in her throat. The last thing he had said to her was
filled with lust intended words and it made her very uneasy.
No man, not even Kiba, had said things like that to her.
Daringly she looked up at him and saw the smirk on his face,
"P-perhaps, Sasuke-san, we will be able to learn much more
about each other."
A surprised look conquered the Uchiha's face, "Hm?"
"You s-see Sasuke-san, I know why you chose me, I am not
blind to family matters and what is tied to them. Though
I am Chunnin, I was still reared a clans woman, and I know
that I will never succeed my father as his heir. So I was
leaverage to an alliance. It does not sadden me. But, to
be so forward Sasuke-san, it must be sad to be alone. I
would be more than honored to be the mother to your family
if it would make you happy."
The blacked haired ninja was stunned, that had been the
first time that he had ever heard her speak more than three
words in a sentence, not to mention the way she saw him.
He was both offended and satisfied, with out a word
he lifted her face up to him and kissed her straight on
the lips. He smirked through the kiss when he heard her
breathing quicken. He pulled away and smiled at her
flushed face.
"I-I believe I should be heading home Sasuke-san, I
wouldn't want to keep Neji nii-san waiting." She bowed
and rushed off with out his presence to escort her out.
"You can come out now Neji Hyuuga."
Neji leapt down from the tree he had been perched in,
"Uchiha"
"I take it you did not like that spectical." Sasuke lazily
turned to face Neji
The Hyuuga narrowed his white eyes, "It is not my
position to say so."
A grin played on Sasuke's lips, "Hm. You and I never did
see who was strongest between the both of us."
"Harm her and you will suffer Uchiha."
The dark eyed nin stared at Neji solemnly, "I promise
you Hyuuga, nothing will harm her at all." He smirked
devilishly, "I promise"
