Gaara waited outside his home, resting against the outer wall. Outwardly, it seemed as if
he were a statue. Inwardly on the other hand... // .......................Why? Why after
all these years must we head there? Especially now of all times...// Gaara closed his eyes.
// I think I'll ignore it. Yes, ignore it and when I find that damn missing-nin I'll rip
him to shreds. Not even their so called "God" will be able to recognize them after that
...// A smirked played on his lips. //Yes, that'll do nicely. I'll have to avoid *him*
though... Easy enough. He is just a baka after all...//
Gaara stood straight and opened his eyes when he heard the light clack of Temari's shoes.
She stepped out of the doorway with a huge smile plastered across her face. She regarded
Gaara with a nod of her head. She turned back to the door.
" Kan-kun!!! Come on!!!! You're dragging behind!!!!! I swear you fiddle with your makeup
more than I do!!!!!!!"
" Fuck you bitch!!!!" And then the bickering started...
//I swear, one day I'll kill them both and put an end to their trivial idiocy...// Gaara
ignored the two and began his tread toward Konohagakure. The two quickly caught on and
they were soon speeding towards the Fire Country at break-neck speeds.

Creakk. Crreeak. Crrreeeaaakkk---
SLAM!!!
“Wha!!!!!”
“Naruto Pay Attention!” Two palms slammed heatedly onto wood. “Don’t you take this
seriously?!”
“Ahhh, Tsunade-baba!! I DO take this seriously!” A pout formed on the young man’s face.
“I’ve just been sleeping bad lately.”
Tsunade crossed her arms over her chest. “I don’t know what you’ve been up to lately, what
with all these piercings and tattoos, but it has to stop. You’ve been letting your studies slip
and I will not let that happen!!!” She returned from her rant turning to look at the boy. “ I
will not allow your dreams to---“ Her eye twitched visibly.
~Outside~
“WAKE UP YOU LAZY GOOD FOR NOTHING RAMEN EATING-----“
Naruto walked down the dusty roads of the konohagakure village rubbing one of the many
new bumps on his head.
“Stupid onibaba… poking her nose into other people’s business…” He sighed dropping his head
in delayed defeat when something caught his eye. He crouched down beside it and examined it
thoughtfully. < Weird. I never remember seeing this kinda sand here before…> He reached out
absentmindedly and ran a finger along the sand. Much to his surprise instead of it molding to
his finger it leapt from the ground and molded to his face.
“GAH!!” He fell onto his back clawing at his grainy attacker. “GETITOFF! GETITOFF! GETITOFF!!”
In the midst of his unproductive flailing a low ‘hmph’ of annoyance was heard and the sand fell
away.
Naruto lay, sprawled on his back, blinking away the pain of the sun as it was suddenly thrust into
his aquamarine eyes. He growled audibly and scrambled to his feet.
“That’s it! Whoever did that is getting a face fulla---“ He paused the anger in his voice dieing
away as recognition dawned on his face. The figure before him was… Subaku No Gaara! The boy
had grown in the past four years, his skin had become even paler than before and the darkness
around his eyes had grown as well. He also had this dark aura about him. Not necessarily evil,
but more calm and mysterious than his previous blood-drenched air. All in all, his appearance
before Naruto seemed… mystical.
Gaara watched the boy peering at him with no visible interest. Though inwardly, he was stuck on
how much he had matured. His golden hair was almost touching his shoulders, it’s spiky tendencies
smoothed into long straight spikes hanging about his face in a Sasuke-esque manner. He had
grown greatly as well, more than himself, and was a foot above the red head. His taste in accessories
had changed as well. Gaara inwardly cocked an eyebrow as he viewed the Kyuubi bearer’s…
“fashion statement”.
Naruto’s left eyebrow was dually pierced with two silver hoops. One decorated by three multicolored
neon bead, the other with a single blue crystal. His bottom lip was pierced on the left twice and
once on the right. Gaara didn’t care enough to count the numerous piercings adorning the boy’s
ears but, if he had to guess, he would say about 15 on each ear. When Naruto spoke he couldn’t
help but take note if the round silver ball connected to his tongue.
“What’re you doing here???”
“…” Was Gaara’s only response.
“Why did you attack me!?” The boy questioned angrily motioning to the miniature pile of sand
at his feet.
“It was there to keep an eye on things… Its not my fault you touched it.”
Naruto twitched. “Why I outta---“
“AH! There you are!”
Naruto paused blinking and turned towards the voice.
“Kakashi sensei?” Gaara turned his head to see his brother and sister accompanied by “The
Stone Ninja” Kakashi along with the brooding Sasuke and annoying Sakura.
“Ahhh… So good to see you two getting along! We have a long journey ahead of us!”
“What the hell are you talking about you perv?!”
“Our new mission! We’ll be working very close with the Sand-nins here and we’ll be together
through long and hard times.” If Gaara hadn’t known better he would have sworn Kakashi knew
something.
Well… So much for avoiding the baka.

Me: Well, as you can see I have reloaded the third chapter and deleted the notice so that the
story itself flows more evenly. I have yet to begin the “true” fifth chapter but I have completed
my outline of events so it should be soon.
Gaara: Its about time you got your act together…
Naruto: YEAH!
Me: What the hell are you doing here???!!
Naruto: I love it here!
Gaara: *silence*
Naruto:……I have nowhere else to go….
All: *sweat drop*
