Lulu looked at Naruko, “Kimimaro was just escorted to the morgue.” She said and Naruko felt her heart shatter …

Jade saw her daughter’s lovely blue eyes well up with tears and tweaked Lulu’s ear, “Start at the beginning.”
“Ow!” Lulu pouted and rubbed her ear, but then her eyes widened when she saw Naruko’s face. “Oops! Not the best place to start. Kimimaro is fine. He’s awake and he was escorted to the morgue in Firefly to help the queen with something. I was asked to deliver the news personally because the queen wants you to help.”
Naruko immediately lit up and wiped the tears away, “Of course!”
Lulu grinned, “Your team is there too so you can leave once the task is done.”
“I’m all set!” Naruko exclaimed happily with her spiders bouncing eagerly on her head. She immediately left with Lulu and Jade. When they got to the morgue specifically for that ally village she was surprised to see a few people working to clear an area right outside the building. “Looks like … they’re getting ready to make a large seal network.” She deduced when she noticed the area was also being flattened, which would be necessary for a complicated series of seals.
Lulu nodded, “You’ll see when we’re in the morgue.” She said and the queen’s guard guided them into the building. After going to the chilly basement they found Gina, the queen and a wheelchair bound Kimimaro examining the bodies that were on the trays that roll out of the drawers in the wall. “We’re here, my queen!”
“Perfect timing.” Queen Reine said and smiled as Naruko rushed over to Kimimaro’s side. “Should we even risk removing the body from this area?” She asked the white haired spy.
Kimimaro shook his head, “Every lab experiment I’ve witnessed takes place in cold sterile so it probably wouldn’t be best to not risk it. The body does need to be very fresh or even barely alive otherwise it might not work.”
Queen Reine nodded and looked at Jade and Naruko, “The blueprints for the morgue and seal network we are going to use are in these files.” She said and gestured to the files on the counter. “Help coordinate things so the center of the seal is the center of this room. Preferably that table right there.” The queen ordered while pointing at the empty rolling table waiting in the center of the room.
Naruko nodded and reluctantly left Kimimaro’s side. After looking over the documents, which were pictures that apparently were printed out from a portable camera, they carefully mapped out the room. It would make for an interesting procedure considering the room wasn’t a massive lab, but with a little planning it’s possible.
Granted, it would be far easier if they could use the much larger morgue in the official village of Cave, but Naruto quickly realized why it had to be done this way. The main reason was that Kimimaro couldn’t get into Cave because of the forest and he would be needed for this plan to work. As a bonus they wanted a very specific corpse for this task.
Jade examined the blueprints for the building, “The blueprints show that this part of the morgue sticks out so now that they cleared the area there shouldn’t be anything above us.”
The blonde nodded as she looked at the seal details, “Ok, the seal will need to branch off, but these two parts don’t need to be connected so I’ll do the inner circle. The outer circle will need to be 20 feet at its smallest.” Naruko said and looked up at the ceiling. “With the difference of two floors we need to make sure to keep track of the progress of the seals between the teams so they are lined up. I’ll face north and send my chakra straight up to mark the center of the seal on the ground above so everything lines up.” She said and put a little ‘’N’ for north on the bottom of the copy of the seal notes so they knew which way to recreate everything.
“Yes. That’ll work.” Jade agreed and took her copy before quickly racing out of the morgue.
As she felt her mother’s energy move away and higher up, Naruko moved the table out of the way. When Naruko took her place in the center of the chilly room she had her beloved spiders help point her towards north and she started sending her chakra through the ceiling. The energy traveled upwards and she churned her chakra. She could feel the dirt far above move and effectively mark the spot with an ‘X’. It was slightly nostalgic in a way because it reminded her of the warp stone she had as a child.
“They’re starting on their end.” Naruko said once she sensed her mother right where the outer circle should start and everyone else move around to help out. Naruko, of course, wasted no time setting up the smaller core of the sealing circle.
“Very good.” Queen Reine said with a nod of approval. When one of the morgue staff members walked in with a file she looked intrigued. “Have you found a better match than this one, June?” She asked, gesturing to the body on the tray that was sticking out of the wall next to her.
The older woman with a scar across her lips smirked, “Yes. Nearly perfect, your majesty.” She said as she slid the tray with a body back into the wall and shut the small door. After checking the file June went over to one of the other small doors and rolled it out to show a different body. “His hair and eye color is obviously different, but his height, weight and blood type match as closely as possible. As a bonus he died a few days ago.”
Kimimaro looked away from Naruko’s diligent application of the seal, “That sounds perfect for this-“ he was cut off when he started coughing.
“Take it easy.” Naruko said and watched Kimimaro put a breathing mask to his face and started breathing in the gas from the tank that was hanging on the back of his wheelchair. If it wasn’t for the fact that she couldn’t risk making a mistake in the seal on the floor she would’ve rushed over to him.
June snorted, “Breathe in a few more times even after the coughing stops and hold your breath longer. That medicine won’t be anywhere near as effective if you don’t keep it in. Now … where’d my table go?” The morgue worker raised an eyebrow when she saw a blonde girl drawing seals on the floor instead of her rolling cart.
Naruko blushed and smiled sheepishly, “I moved it to make the seal.” She said and pointed over to the far side of the room where the rolling table was.
“Right. I’ll move the lump.” June grumbled clearly annoyed by the fact that her stuff was moved around, but was avoiding saying so with the queen there.
Queen Reine looked at Kimimaro who was breathing much easier now, “When do you need to return to Orochimaru’s side?”
“He told me to come back to the lab in a month. I have to be there so everyone can immediately head out to ambush Sasuke.” Kimimaro explained before taking another breath filled with medication laced air.
“I see,so in 3 weeks.” The queen looked over to the blonde who was nearly finished with the seal’s inner circle. “That will change our plans slightly. If we go with this plan it will take time for it to set up.”
June nodded as Gina and Lulu helped move the body onto the rolling table, “Once injected it will take at least a month to cause enough damage, but it will have symptoms leading up to it.” She said just as Naruko finished and went over to Kimimaro.
The leader of Cave nodded, “That's what I figured. We can’t have the snake sage suspicious of your health … the most simple solution will be to have you carry our …” Reine looked at the body thoughtfully. “Petri dish. You’ll need to feed it your chakra and keep it sealed until you get near Orochimaru.” The queen chuckled at the obvious confusion on both Naruko and Kimimaro’s faces. After all, she just said that they had to keep Orochimaru in the dark about Kimimaro’s sickness. “I have a thought, but I need to know if Orochimaru is likely to put you through training at any point between now and when they go to get Sasuke.”
Kimimaro took a second to ponder the thought before shaking his head, “Orochimaru may want to still try for Sasuke, but despite his insistence he seems to feel like the task won’t be easy if even possible-“ Kimimaro coughed and breathed into the mask before continuing, “I have no doubt that he’ll try took take my body if something goes wrong so I don’t see him tiring out his new body just in case.”
A smile came to the queen’s lips, “Good. Then a clone with a seal should suffice until Orochimaru gets near Konoha.” Queen Reine said and smiled as Jade returned to the basement to tell them that the seal above them was completed. “This jutsu will take a great deal out of you so let’s first send out a clone.”
“Yes.” Kimimaro created a clone, but made it so it wore his original uniform and not the hospital clothes he was currently wearing. Naruko placed a seal on the clone so no one would immediately see that it was a clone. With that the clone left the morgue completely. It will eventually leave to meet the snake sage at the lab.
The rolling table with its cold passenger was rolled over to the center of the seal. After Naruko helped orient the body she went to help Kimimaro carefully stand up and walk to one specific point of the seal. When Naruko got out of the way Kimimaro cut his palm before he placed his hand on the edge and they all got out of the seal leaving the body with the white haired patient. Once Kimimaro started channeling his chakra into the seal on the floor a second seal two stories above their heads began glowing too.
Just like everyone else Naruko looked fascinated as the dead body shifted . Slowly but surely the body started to look more and more like Kimimaro. Unfortunately, the blonde got really worried in the last couple minutes. Kimimaro was trying and failing to suppress a cough and she definitely saw a bit of blood dripping from his lips.
Naruko immediately grabbed the handles of the wheelchair and the second the glowing she rolled the chair over, “It’s ok. Just breathe in.” She said softly as she put the mask connected to the wheelchair’s tank over his nose and mouth.of course, she didn’t even bother moving him off the floor. It was more important to make sure he was stable before she even attempted moving him.
“I’ll check for vitals.” June muttered as she went up to the corpse and touched the neck. “It’s weak, but there’s a pulse. He’ll need to feed on your chakra, but it’s enough.” She said before pulling a syringe out of her and injected the substance into the formally dead body’s stomach.
Queen Reine nodded and gave Lulu a silent gesture, which prompted Lulu to immediately seal the body up in a scroll, “Just in time.”
“In time?” Naruko asked as she let Kimimaro lean on her.
The queen shrugged, “It may be obvious what Orochimaru is trying to achieve with that seal, but he never got his experiments to work. Of course, we weren’t going to waste time fixing his seal. The body was going to die again soon, but as long as it’s sealed it’ll last until it’s done incubating the real killer.” She explained as Lulu gave Naruko the scroll. “Kimimaro, considering it needs to feed off of your chakra, more chakra than a clone can supply, I think you should go with Naruko to Konoha. It will allow a good amount of time for it to incubate and you can easily pass it on to your clone once Orochimaru is nearly at Konoha.”
Kimimaro took a deep calming breath and nodded carefully while keeping the mask on his face, “Yes, my queen.” He said and smiled weakly at the blonde holding him.
Naruko beamed and sensed Sana and Haru coming down to the morgue, “Yes, my queen. We’ll leave right away.”
With a little help Kimimaro was moved back to the wheelchair. After getting extra medication for him added to their supplies the group of ninjas left.

“Danzo-sama, Sasuke-sama, we have visual of Kakashi. He’s waiting at the gate and someone with blonde hair is coming down the road.” The ROOT agent reported and he turned on a screen in the training room he found them in. Of course, Sasuke was training like usual and Danzo was overseeing.
Sasuke immediately stopped training and went over to look at the screen, “It has been a month and he hasn’t made a move until now. She must be coming and soon.” He said and watched the screen where the two gate guards were seen nervously looking at Kakashi. “Couldn’t we get the camera closer?” He grumbled, not happy with the fact that the view was from a building inside the gate instead of in a tree closer. They couldn’t hear anything.
“It was too risky.” Danzo said as he watched the screen.
Both Danzo and Sasuke leaned in instinctively when they spotted a young woman with short blonde hair wearing short denim shorts and a baggy t-shirt walking towards Konoha. The smirks instantly appeared when they saw the blonde haired woman tackle Kakashi in a hug. As she walked with Kakashi towards town, and towards the spot where the ROOT camera was hidden they saw the whisker marks on the fair skin of her cheeks. They immediately concluded that it was Naruko.
“Now we just need the right moment.” Danzo mused and turned off the screen.

“Finally! We have word on the nine tail’s host. She’s in Konoha!” Tobi yelled as he ran in, but blushed when he saw the women who sponsor them all there and all with less clothes than normal. .
Kisame pouted not wanting to leave his loving sponsor Mary’s arms, “Let’s all go at once. Maybe we’ll actually get there before this host vanishes this time.”
“Yeah … but I get cuddles next time.” Tobi muttered sulkily.
Mary pouted and brushed her hair back showing the bat tattoo on her neck as the Akatsuki unraveled themselves from her and her 3 ‘sisters’, “Pity. We have a project to get to so we’ll see you once it’s done.” She smiled with a flirty wink. “Hurry up.” She purred and kissed Kisame’s cheek.
Every last Akatsuki member left to catch the host of the nine tailed fox …
