After tea and a light breakfast, Kiba and Akamaru went out to train for a while and Shino went in search of his bugs. Lee, Tenten, Neji and Hinata followed Mori into the library. Hinata took her notebook full of notes and laid it on one of the three tables.
Hinata went first to the shelves with the scrolls. These, they could get through quickly. She handed some to Lee and some to Tenten with a description of the type of information she was looking for. She grabbed another armful and headed to the table. Lee took one and Tenten shared Hinata’s table. Neji joined Lee and the four of them got started.
Mid-morning, they’d made it through a number of the scrolls and were able to begin sorting the ones Hinata would need to study closer from those that did not apply. Yasashii brought in tea and left before anyone was able to realize she’d been there.
Mori was sorting through some of the books, pulling those he knew to be related to the brands and their creations. He had a hefty stack started by the time lunch rolled around.
The five of them filed out of the library and into the dining room. Hinata stretched. “I’m going to have to go out and train a bit later. If I spend all my time in there, I’m going to get cramped quickly.”
Neji nodded. “I think we’ll all need some time to train. Perhaps we’ll go back for the first part of the afternoon and train in the second.”
Lee looked up. “I really need to get out for a while. I think that will be good.”
They ate the simple meal quickly and headed back in. By mid-afternoon, they’d managed to sort through one shelf of scrolls. Satisfied with their work, they headed outside.
Hinata started out with her basic stretching, focusing her chakra and working through the beginnings of her gentle fist. Lee and Tenten gave them space and she pulled out one of her scrolls and began summoning her weapons. She aimed at Lee who dodged them quickly, making up for his own lack of training.
Neji joined Hinata a moment later and they started into the now-familiar dance that was their defensive maneuver. Not touching, their chakra flowed together as they moved, arms and legs weaving and bodies moving in perfect synchronization. They had developed the intricate moves as a way to work together in a fight. One could attack while the other defended, and so they were in a near-constant state of motion, making it extremely difficult for an opponent to get a hit in on them.
It worked well on the ground. When they were in a fight like the one with Kabuto, however, up in the trees, it was nearly impossible. They were still working out the moves for that.
By the time they’d gone through most of their routine, Hinata was short of breath. “I think I’m done. I’m going to head in and shower and take a short nap before dinner.”
In the shower, Hinata activated her Byakugan and looked down at her abdomen. She could see the small lumps of the babies nestled in her belly. She ran her hands over the tiny bump on the front of her body, lost in the vision of what the babies might look like.
The door to the shower opened and Tenten slipped in. She turned the other showerhead on and closed her eyes as she soaked in the hot water. “Oh, this feels so good. I’m going to have to watch how much I do. It didn’t take me nearly as long to get tired as it usually does.”
Hinata released her bloodline trait and smiled. “I was completely exhausted my first month or so. I had no idea why, but I slept so much. Now that I know I’m working on twins, it’s no wonder. The body uses so much energy to knit up these tiny lives.” She turned to Tenten. “May I look?”
Tenten smiled and nodded. “Please.”
Hinata activated the trait again and looked at Tenten’s abdomen. “Well, there’s only one and it’s a bit bigger than mine. I suspect that puts you at almost the same time as me. Maybe even that night at the inn above the old Sound Village.”
Tenten’s eyes widened, “is that when you guys conceived?”
Hinata nodded. “That’s what we think, anyway.”
“Why would mine be bigger?” Tenten looked puzzled.
“Twins are always smaller than other pregnancies at the same stage. They have to share the same body. I have to say, though I can’t wait to find out if their identical or fraternal. One of each or the same…” Her hands went back to her belly. “I’m already showing a tiny bit. Did I have to have twins first?” She sighed.
Tenten giggled. “You’re too cute.” She cleared her throat. “I noticed earlier… I think your breasts are already bigger.”
Hinata groaned. “I don’t need them to be any bigger. As it is, I have to bind them pretty tight for training and missions. Though, I guess as things progress, that’s not going to matter as much, is it?”
Tenten shook her head. “I’m not looking forward to that part. I mean, I can’t wait to have Lee’s baby. I already ache to hold it in my arms, but…well, the ninja life has been such a part of me for so long, you know?”
Hinata nodded. “I do. I’ve spent all my life training. It seems weird for that not to be the norm. Ah, well. You know, though. That’s what the Will of Fire is all about. Passing it on to the next generation. And it’s not like we’ll be out of commission forever. In the grand scheme of things nine months or a year, isn’t all that much.”
“When you put it that way, no, it’s not.” Tenten rinsed her hair and picked up the washcloth and soap. She turned to Hinata and started bathing her without even asking. Hinata closed her eyes and enjoyed the bath.
She turned to Tenten when she was done and did the same for her. When she was finished, she hung the washcloth up and turned back. They wrapped their arms around each other and kissed gently, softly. They cuddled together for a while, letting the hot spray wash over them before drying off and heading in to the bedroom.
Tenten got clean clothes from her room and came back into the bedroom with Hinata. She left them on the floor and climbed into the bed naked.
Hinata did the same and before long, she was kissing Tenten’s breasts and suckling on her nipples. Tenten ran her hands over Hinata’s body, before settling one hand between her legs. She pushed a finger through the curls and found the nub at the top of her sex.
Hinata threw her head back as Tenten worked her. She moaned as the sensations stirred her and she could feel herself get more aroused by the moment. They kissed again, each teasing the other until they were both panting.
The door opened then and Neji and Lee came in. Hinata looked at Neji, then at Lee and smiled. Neither man wasted any time as they stripped and joined the women.
Neji turned first to Hinata, then Lee, then reached a hand out and touched one of Tenten’s breasts. He teased the nipple and watched as she reacted to the new touch. Lee moved around Neji and sat behind Hinata, wrapping his arms around her and cupping her breasts in his hands. He kissed her neck and nibbled on her ear as she moved against him.
Neji leaned forward and captured Tenten’s lips with his own. He pulled her against him, and mirrored his wife and Lee. Soon after, however, he moved his hand down over her belly and between her legs. Lee, not to be outdone, did the same with Hinata and her already swollen sex opened to him. He worked her until she cried out against his neck in release.
Neji teased one of Tenten’s breasts and tormented the nub at the top of her sex until she came, too. Hinata leaned forward to Tenten to kiss her. Lee shifted and, after looking again at Neji and waiting for the nod, slipped into her. Hinata’s eyes flew open wide when she felt Lee inside her.
He grasped her hips and moved her over him. It was extremely arousing, riding Lee while watching her husband and Tenten. Tenten had taken Neji into her hand and was stroking him. Hinata leaned forward, kissed Tenten and whispered into her ear, “take him.”
Tenten smiled and straddled Neji, facing Lee and Hinata. He guided her down onto him and she began moving with Hinata. The women held hands, kissed and caressed as they moved over the men. The pleasure built slowly, each savoring the sensation of something completely new.
Lee’s hands moved up over Hinata’s breasts and he nibbled her shoulder as his eyes met his wife’s. He reached forward and she took his hand. Hinata leaned over Tenten’s shoulder and kissed Neji softly.
He returned the kiss and the odd dance intensified. Before long, Hinata and Tenten were holding each other, shuddering in the aftermath of very intense releases. A moment later, Lee tensed under Hinata and held her tight to him as he came. Neji finished a moment after that, his arms locked around Tenten.
The four lay down on the bed, exhausted, sated and oddly content. Arms and legs tangled everywhere as they drifted off into sleep without a word spoken.

They woke shortly before dinner and this time there was no awkwardness. They showered together quickly, then headed to the dining room.
Dinner was much simpler than the night before, which Hinata was grateful for. Having spent the later part of the afternoon away from her research, she had much to do that evening. The five of them were back at it in the evening, this time joined by Kiba and Shino.
Shino was quiet even for him, but he listened to the directions Hinata gave and began going through the scrolls that were set down in front of him. Akamaru sat behind Hinata, giving her back a bit of support and Kiba started reading, as well.
By the end of the evening, they’d managed to get through the scrolls, but the pile of them left to read through more carefully was higher than she’d like. Even so, she was yawning and tired and needed to get more rest.
They all headed back to the bedrooms. Kiba took Akamaru outside once more and Shino headed into his room, leaving the four left in the hall.
Hinata opened the door and walked in, stripping quickly and climbing into bed. She was so tired from the training and research that day. All she wanted was sleep. When Tenten joined her, they wrapped up in each other and were asleep before the guys could finish undressing.

The next day, Shino and Kiba joined them for the day in the library. Hinata and Neji tackled the stack of scrolls, only managing to get through a small portion of them before mid-morning. Everyone headed out for some air and to stretch a bit, but not for long.
It was slow going. Some of the scrolls mentioned the brands, but very little of their origins and almost nothing about the creation process. By lunch time she was cross-eyed and had to go back to sorting through some of the books. She went through Mori’s pile and was able to reduce it by half with the books she’d already read back home.
Mid-afternoon and Tenten and Hinata headed back for a short nap. Only an hour later, though, they were back into the library. Yasashii served them dinner in the library so they could continue their work. They ate as they read, but they were ready for bed fairly early.
The girls returned to the room and went into the shower to relax some of the tension from reading all day. Their shoulders were tight, their necks sore from bending over the scrolls. Lee and Neji slipped in behind them to massage their shoulders and bathe them. They dried them off and the four of them moved into the bedroom that they were beginning to think of collectively as “theirs”.
Each man pulled his wife into his arms and kissed them gently on the lips. The ladies wound their arms around the men’s necks and returned the kisses. Before they knew it, they were on the bed next to each other, making love side by side. Hinata and Tenten held hands, but the main focus was on their husbands.
Neji and Hinata finished first, Hinata biting Neji’s shoulder to keep from shouting. Lee and Tenten followed them only a couple of minutes later. As before, they all curled up together and fell asleep.

Late that night Hinata and Tenten faced each other, lying in bed. “What’s going to happen, Hina?” Tenten whispered, using the pet name she’d made for Hinata.
“I don’t know, Ten. I’ve gotten rather used to having you with me. You and Lee.” She smiled at her and punctuated her words with a light kiss. Lee’s hand was currently on Hinata’s hip.
Tenten kissed her back. “Me, too. I’ve come to love you guys so much. And in such a short time. It should scare me, it really should, but somehow it doesn’t. I think, if anything, that’s the weird part.”
“Yeah. I know what you mean. It sort of snuck up on me, too. And the guys just seem to go along with all of it. I don’t know what to make of it. All I know is that I’m not going to be able to just go back to the way things were when we get back home.” Hinata sighed.
“Let’s worry about that when we get closer to the time.” Neji’s voice was soft. He leaned up and kissed each of the women before lying down to go back to sleep.
“Hai. Neji-san is right. Let us enjoy this for now. We will find the right way of handling it then.” Lee smiled and touched first Hinata’s face, then Tenten’s before going back to sleep, too.
“Easy for them to say. They have a one-track mind. Mine’s always chewing on this in the background.” Tenten scowled without heat.
“I heard that.” Neji’s voice was muffled.
Hinata giggled. “Exactly.” Hinata agreed. “Ah, well, we need rest.” She kissed Tenten soundly before snuggling into her arms, pillowing her head on Tenten’s breasts and going to sleep herself.

Over the next couple of days, they whittled the piles of books and scrolls down to a more manageable number. At this point, Kiba and Shino would be mostly useless without a lot of instruction, so they headed outdoors to train. And, in Shino’s case, study more bugs.
Before moving on to the more in-depth research of the remaining materials, Hinata and Neji sat down with Lee and Tenten to explain what they were looking for. Tenten had already read through Hinata’s copious notes and filled Lee in on as much as she understood. Armed with a fresh pot of tea and more paper, they dove in.
By lunch on the fifth day, they were no further along. That elusive missing piece remained so. Hinata was getting increasingly frustrated. There had to be something. Even Mori was stumped. He agreed with Hinata that there had to be a way to remove the brand. But they could not just start trying things. There were too many things that could go wrong.
