“For years those screams were mine. Tonight they belong to the person brave enough to take my place.” Tori said with tears streaming down her face. “Come with me.”

Tsume didn’t hesitate to follow her friend, “The hokage …” she trailed off as she listened to the earpiece. She knew if she kept listening she’d go on a rampage so took out the device and followed Tori through the treetops. Before she does anything she wants to know exactly what is going on. Then she can rampage.
“It … that has nothing to do with an order. Inoichi used his bloodline on me.” Tori said, referring to the disturbing things being heard from the earpiece.
After the clan head and her canine came to the Backhills she raised an eyebrow. She saw a bird diving into the waterfall, which was odd behavior. However, it started to make sense as she was led into a compound that was perfectly hidden behind that waterfall. The first thing she saw was a mountain of beetles and multiple clones of Naruto.
“Shikaku! Choza!” Tsume exclaimed the second she saw exactly who was under the writhing mass of insects. Of course, the clan head and her canine companion attempted to bolt forward to do anything to help, but Tori grabbed her collar and the blonde clones blocked the dog. “What the hell are you doing to them?!” She snapped as she yanked her collar free from Tori’s grip.
“Calm down. The Aburame clan is helping.” One Naruto clone said and upon closer inspection Tsume realized that the mass of insects was not made up of any random potentially deadly bug, but was actually the signature chakra draining beetles of the insect using clan.
“They’re doing what they did to help me. They’re removing Inoichi from their systems.” Tori said, sounding immensely grateful and she truly was.
Tsume looked at Tori for a moment before turning her gaze towards her fellow clan heads under the insects, “So … what is the status of … I guess everything. What the fuck is going on? Let’s start there.” She muttered, trying to keep her temper in check, which was not an easy feat.
One of the Naruto clones nodded, “As a quick summary we have 3 main groups. One is working on breaking the control in Mist, which is connected to the hokage. The second group is getting ready to take advantage of a teleport seal on the kazekage’s children and take down Rasa. The third group is everyone involved here plus the genin teams and Hiashi.”
“Genin teams? … is my son involved?” The dumbfounded clan head asked.
“Shikamaru …”
“Cho … ji …”
Everyone turned to the mass of insects. They saw that the insects had moved aside and both Shikaku and Choza were awake. At first the clones made a move to help the men off the floor, but Tori stopped them.
“Until the puppet team 7 and the puppet Kurenai groups return you should be careful. I destroyed too many of you already. We can’t lose your connection even for a moment.” Tori said and she was right. “You two ok?” She asked as she and Tsume helped the two men stand up and rest on the couch that the insects brought over. “Look at me.” She ordered when she saw that they were mentally scrambling to connect the dots. She wanted them to realize it’s really her and hopefully connect the correct dots.
After a few moments of staring at Tori in confusion Shikaku, “You’re here …”
“And she still kicks ass.” Tsume said bluntly and looked over when she sensed someone coming into the compound. To her relief it was only Hiashi.
Tori sighed as she saw the dazed looks on the faces of the two men in front of her, “Inoichi lied.”
It took another moment, but that’s when Shikaku and Choza’s eyes lit up. Tori could tell the two men were thinking and she signaled for everyone to give them a minute to let everything sink in. They could almost see that the two men were going back through their memories and looking for things that were off. Like Inoichi asking for something they would never normally do. Whatever they remembered seemed to be enough to confirm something.
Shikaku gritted his teeth, “He actually-“
“Yes. He’s scum. Will you help or not?” Tori asked bluntly. For her own health she didn’t want to be given more reasons to hate the father of her child. Both of the men, who were battling to suppress their growing anger, nodded. “Good. Then we can discuss everything-“
“First, where’s Choji?” Choza immediately asked.
Shikaku nodded, “And Shikamaru. Are they ok?”
Hiashi sighed, “i don’t like it, but they know far more than us.”
Tori nodded, “Ino, Choji and Kiba were recently let in the loop. Shikamaru was in the loop with Hinata and Shino for years. A loop, by the way, that's run by him.” Tori said and pointed directly at the Narutos in the room.
“To be fair it was a loop started by Danzo-Jiji, but the boss did what he could to keep it from being burned. There’s a lot to go through so since you three are open to hearing us out we’ll explain.” The clone said and the next several minutes were spent on a detailed recap on what was going on as well as providing more proof by letting Tori personally explain her side of this horror story and show them the video of ROOT’s demise on a separate screen. After all, the clones needed the monitor room to watch for Shibi’s signal, which should be opening one of the curtains. At the moment the curtains were all closed to hide what was going on and Shibi couldn’t risk speaking into his earpiece with people near him.
The insects wrote out messages to confirm what happened to ROOT. After all, one of their own was a ROOT agent and, despite dying, their insects managed to send a warning. Of course, the Aburames couldn’t come themselves since that could be seen as suspicious and Shibi was going through too much at the moment, but the insects were happy to send the messages.
Tsume scoffed, “Fucking hell … you didn’t explain Tsunade and Jiraiya’s parts.” She raised an eyebrow when she saw the look on the clone's face. “They are involved, right? If Orochimaru was cleared they should be on our side.”
“It’s not that simple.” Tori said, sounding annoyed. “From what I heard Jiraiya is firmly wrapped around Hiruzen’s finger and Tsunade may refuse to return to the village because of some bad memories, but she is still in contact with Hiruzen on a friendly basis.”
Naruto’s clones nodded, “Besides, both the boss and Orochimaru have tried to find ways to get through, but it’s too hard to find them and stay safe. Remember, Orochimaru had kids to protect and help heal from the experiments and the boss is the demon vessel. If Jiraiya saw him it could go badly fast.”
Choza nodded sadly, “I guess that’s too much to ask for. Actually, I doubt Jiraiya will just switch sides without really good proof.”
“Yeah … ummm can you guys get off the couch?” The Naruto clone asked as another clone ran out of the room. It was a rather odd request, but they got off it and watched the clone begin dismantling it.
Tori spotted one of the clones coming out of the camera room looking serious and she immediately took the earpiece Tsume still had in her hand, “Oh god … the meeting finished.”
“Yes … the Tori puppet wasn’t noticed, but it might need a few repairs. They were quite rough apparently and Shibi had to risk saying a code word. I don’t think the puppet can stand to open a curtain.” The clone said as another clothes clone came back with a messenger bird.
“He can’t stand … is Shibi alone?” Tori asked quickly, but didn’t even wait for an answer before she rushed into the halls. The four clan heads hurried after her and found themselves in a camera room filled with monitors.
Unfortunately, all the curtains were still closed so they couldn’t see inside. However, Hiruzen did open the door to leave and the bird camera took a chance to innocently flutter in like a silly bird. It perched on a cabinet just in time to see the masked guy teleport Rasa away and saw Madara also teleport away. The bird pretended to clean its feathers as Inoichi went towards the Tori on the floor.
Inoichi smiled at the bird and turned to his wife who was lying on the floor, “A productive meeting for sure. Have everything cleaned by morning.” He said as he quickly caught the bird and opened the door to let it fly away.
“He is going to go to bed.” Tori said knowing full well what happens during these times. “We won’t be able to hear anything from outside with the silencing seals. Shibi, can you tap the earpiece if the puppet is too broken to move?” She asked and everyone heard a tap. Now how do they get in to get the puppet when Inoichi is right upstairs?
“Tori, how long is it between meetings?” Shikaku asked.
Tori raised an eyebrow, “About 2 to 3 weeks.”
Shikaku nodded slowly and looked at the Naruto clones, “If Orochimaru is going to handle Rasa can you finish everything in Mist before the next meeting?”
The clone paused as he waited for the real Naruto’s answer, “The boss is just at the border. It shouldn’t be long before they surface and meet the boss’s informant so it could be possible.”
“Then maybe we should take a different approach. Shibi, leave the puppet.” Shikaku said and they heard another tap on the earpiece. They hoped that meant yes. “Ok, these guys are powerful so we can’t risk trying to fool Madara. Maybe we can trap him. First, we should get to that puppet before Inoichi sees it.”

Standing out on the surface of the vast lagoon were four people waiting and watching the skies for any sign of a bird. Despite the disgusting reveal Temari and Kankuro were curious about something else. Perhaps it was just as much concerned as it was curiosity though.
“The direction you came from … it was from Mist, correct?” Temari asked partly to get her mind off everything Hiruzen related.
The snake sage sighed behind his mask, “I suppose you want to know if I was going to help your brother and Naruto. Yes, I was going there to help-“
“You were going there to help them?! Is Gaara in danger without you helping?!” Kankuro exclaimed in sheer horror. Did their brother lose a powerful ally just so this seal situation could be investigated?
Tenzo shook his head frantically, “Nope! He didn’t tell Naruto he was coming to help. They were planning to meet up with Orochimaru after, but he got worried. Everyone wasn’t planning on him being there so nothing really changed as far as they know. However, the others we were with did continue to Mist so they’ll still get a surprise reinforcement.” He explained and was relieved when the siblings seemed to calm down.
“Ok.” Temari murmured, still worried about her youngest brother. “How many are headed that way?”
“There’s 6 of them. Have you heard of the bounty hunter group called the Sound 5?” Orochimaru asked and the siblings’ eyes immediately lit up. “Yep. That’s them and another friend is with them so if anything we should be concerned with the condition that Mist will be left in.” He said with an amused snort.
Tenzo blinked as he spotted something in the night sky, “I think we have visual.”
The snake sage looked up and raised his arm, “It’s one of Naruto’s.” He confirmed the second the obedient bird landed on his arm. It looked like a seabird because the seal made its appearance change to match a species of bird in each area wherever it goes so it wouldn’t stand out. However, no matter what it looked like it was still a puppet and it’s compartment opened to reveal a message. “The meeting is over. Naruto gave us a cancellation seal… are you ready?”
“Yes.” Temari said as she pulled out a kunai.
“Be careful. The seal only needs a deep gash, but nothing actually deadly. Get ready too, Kankuro.” Orochimaru said as he and Tenzo stood at the ready.
Kankuro nodded as he stood near his sister with a medical kit in his hand, “Ready.” He said and the bird flew over to his shoulder.
With everyone ready Temari turned the sharp point to her stomach. She barely hesitated when it came to plunging the sharp weapon through her clothes. The flesh beneath the fabric was sliced open. As the blood gushed from the wound a figure welding a deadly cloud of sand suddenly appeared. It was Rasa and he was ready to kill …

Zabuza looked at his apprentice who was standing next to a mirror made of ice, “Do you see our guests yet, Haku?”
“Let me check.” The pretty apprentice sank into the icy mirror, which was connected to an ice wall under the surface of the water. Haku had the perfect vantage point to see if the submarine was on the way. In the dark depths he saw a dark silhouette approaching and when it got closer he could see that it was a submarine. “I see them-“ A massive blast shook the earth and Haku left the mirror to see what was happening on Zabuza’s side.
To his horror they were being attacked by Mist ninjas and the attack was sending boulders into the water right over where the submarine would be. If something wasn’t done then those inside will drown or be crushed …
