A/N: Hi everyone, very sorry for such a late upload work-life ratio has been hell on earth with so little time to write. The chapter has been done for over a month or so but just haven't had the time to upload anything new.

Chapter 27: A Reason to Fight, A Reason to Live
The Hidden Leaf Village
Naruto was pacing back and forth as he waited for the Hokage to finish with the meddling Civilian Council. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he started his next lap of the small room he had been sequestered in. He could hear the raised voices of the civilians calling for his enslavement to the village.
‘Idiots don’t they realize I could just walk into that room and use the Hirashin to teleport anywhere else?’ Naruto thought with a chuckle as he imagined the shocked looks on the civilian councilors’ faces when he disappeared in an instant.
“Relax Naruto; Tsunami isn’t due for another week or so.” Kurama chuckled inside the pacing blonde’s head.
“I know, I know, you’ve been saying that for three days now.” Naruto laughed as he began another lap of the small room.
Just as he was about to start the next lap of the room a heavily pregnant Shizune opened the door. “They’re ready for you Naruto.” Shizune grinned as Naruto spun around with a wicked twinkle in his eyes. “What are you planning?” She asked quietly as the blonde walked over to her.
“Nothing really, I was just thinking about showing off the Hiraishin to these idiots.” Naruto smirked as he kissed her gently before following her into the council chamber.
Naruto smirked as he felt the anger and fear radiating from the councilors that were sitting around the room. ‘Haha, haha they know they can’t touch me.’ Naruto thought as he looked around at the smirking clan heads and the fuming civilians.
“How long’s this going to take Lady Tsunade, I got things to do and places to go?” Naruto asked as he yawned and stretched out his arms his joints popping.
“Shut up Naruto you are here to be punished for the murder of three upstanding shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village.” One of the civilians shouted as he jumped to his feet smashing his fist into the solid wooden table.
“Upstanding shinobi you say.” Naruto laughed as he looked at the civilian councilor. “Takahashi don’t you ever wonder why you haven’t woken up dead yet?” Naruto asked staring down the self-important civilian.
“You dare threaten me?” the councilor sputtered angrily as he looked around at the other councilors for support.
“Right I’m threating you. Then tell me, how have you avoided being arrested for the attempted murder of a child?” Naruto asked in a complete deadpan expression as he drew a Hiraishin marked kunai and lazily threw it at the councilor who looked stunned as the kunai flew past his face.
Almost every pair of eyes bulged as the blonde disappeared then reappeared behind the councilor holding the kunai to his throat. “How did you learn that skill Naruto? The fourth sealed that jutsu away within a blood seal.” One of the Clan heads asked shocked and suspicious.
Tsunade, Jiraiya, Shizune, Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanaka, Chōza Akimichi and Tsume Inuzuka all facepalmed and looked at the surprised clan heads.
Naruto shoved the councilor away as he teleported back to Shizune’s side. With a brief kiss and a backhand wave he teleported away to a cacophony of shouted questions and accusations.

Naruto appeared out of thin air right in the middle of a group of teenaged girls. “Can we have lunch now we’re starving?” Naruto asked surprising the girls who jumped at Naruto’s sudden appearance and laughing voice.
“Naruto what are you doing here, aren’t you supposed to be getting the third degree from the council?” Haku asked as the blonde wrapped his arm around hers and Hinata’s shoulders.
“Yeah they’re still trying to figure out how I know the Hiraishin when I ditched them, so off to Ichiraku’s?” Naruto chuckled as the group headed down the street towards the restaurant. “Hey where are Kin, Hana and Anko?” Naruto continued.
“Hana’s dealing with an emergency surgery and Anko is supervising Kin’s surprise inspection.” Haku snorted in derision as Naruto chuckled at the sheer stupidity of some people.
“Two days! We’ve been back for two days and I already want to be gone from here.” Naruto sighed as he pulled aside one of the privacy curtains around Ichiraku’s.
“Naruto your back, wow what happened to you? I didn’t really believe Ayame when she said you’d changed.” Teuchi laughed as he looked over the blonde before reaching out to touch the blonde’s tails.
“Wow they’re so soft, I’ll make you all the house special and you can tell me how all this happened.” Teuchi said as he turned back to the kitchen behind him and began preparing their meals.
Naruto and the others quickly sat down and began telling the ramen chef about their sage training under their summons. Naruto cautiously began to tell him of his physical and spiritual merge with the nine tails within him. He told him of the Mount Myōboku prophecy about the Savior/Destroyer. By the time Naruto and the others had told their tale they were deep into their third bowls of the house special.
Naruto was just about to start his fourth bowl of ramen when he felt Tsunami’s seal flaring and trying to trigger one of his Hiraishin seals. The others looked at Naruto with surprise as he dropped his chopsticks as he stared off into space.
“Naruto?” Haku and Hinata asked concerned as they shook the blonde lightly.
Naruto slowly turned to face them a large grin spreading across his face. “I have to go, Karin can you come with me I might need your help?” Naruto said as he looked around at the others confused faces. “It’s Tsunami my Hiraishin formula on her is flaring like crazy so either she’s in great distress or she’s about to go into labor.” Naruto said excitedly.

Naruto and the others gracefully landed on the dew laden grass in front of Tazuna’s house. A stiff sea breeze blew in from the ocean. Waves gently lapped against the shore as the sun glinted off of the water’s surface.
Naruto quickly led the way into the house the others following close behind him. Sitting at the table that dominated the center of the ground floor was Inari and Tazuna, the old man grumbling as he drank directly from a bottle of sake, trying to get the boy to take a swig as well.
“Naruto what…” Inari began to speak as Naruto strode past the table and directly began walking up the steps to Tsunami’s room. Both Inari’s and Tazuna’s eyes were locked on the two tails whipping about behind the blonde shinobi.
Naruto opened the door to Tsunami’s room, Haku, Hinata and Karin following close behind him, the red haired Kunoichi shutting and locking the door behind her.
“Who are you and what are you doing in here?” the kneeling village midwife said turning to face the four intruders.
“It’s ok Mahi he’s the father, it’s nice to see you again Haku.” Tsunami gasped with a tired smile as another contraction coursed through her abdomen.
“You’re a very lucky bitch Tsunami, you, Tsunade and Shizune. Not one of you is Naruto’s wife and yet you get to have his first child.” Haku said as Karin laughed they both walked to one side of Tsunami, their hands glowing with the gentle green light of their medical ninjutsu.
Naruto chuckled guiltily as Hinata elbowed him in the ribs and nodded her head towards Tsunami. “Right,” Naruto whispered as he walked over beside Karin and gently took hold of Tsunami’s hand as another contraction shook the prone woman.
Tsunami’s grip became vice like as more and more painful contractions came and went. Naruto was glad his tails were well out of the way of the woman’s painful grasp.
“You better hold on tight young man, the baby’s coming now.” The midwife said gently as she began to guide Tsunami through the birth of her second child.
Karin’s hands rested against the midnight haired woman’s stomach trying hard to lessen the birthing mother’s pain. On the other side Haku was quickly using her chakra to keep Tsunami’s temperature and breathing regular. Naruto sat quietly whispering gently in Tsunami’s ear as her vice grip on his hand tightened even more.
As the hours passed Naruto began to drift off, staring into space as he got used to the pain and numbness spreading through his hand and wrist.
Naruto’s head snapped up as a loud piercing cry echoed around the room. He looked at Tsunami worried that she was hurt. Surprised he followed her eyes to the crying bundle of blankets in the arms of the midwife.
Tsunami let go of his hand as she reached out for the crying baby all bundled up in warm blankets. The midwife gently placed the baby in her arms before turning away to clean her hands.
Naruto smiled as he spied a shock of blonde hair emerging from the blanketed bundle. Leaning close he gently kissed Tsunami on the temple as he turned to get his first proper look at his child.
A pair of sky blue eyes stared back at him under a shock of blonde hair with a midnight blue streak on the baby’s fringe.
“What are you going to name her?” Naruto whispered into Tsunami’s ear as he rubbed the back of his hand along his daughter’s soft skin. Inside his heart a bit of his armor fell away, a part of the wall around his heart also went tumbling down. ‘I’ll keep you both safe, I promise.” Naruto vowed silently as he drew his daughter and her mother close.

Sitting at the table Inari bounced his baby sister on his knee as Naruto and Hinata cooked in the kitchen.
“You’ve been pretty quiet these last few days is everything ok, Naruto?” Hinata asked as she passed Naruto another batch of ingredients.
“Yeah I always wondered why my parents put Kurama inside of me, even asking them while undergoing the merge I didn’t understand, but now I know; now I understand. For her I would do anything even give my life to save her and keep her safe.” Naruto replied as he looked over his shoulder at the giggling baby as she bounced on Inari’s knee as he made silly faces for her.
“So she’s given you a reason to fight, but don’t forget she’s also your reason to live. Like you she won’t want a dead hero but a living father.” Hinata replied as Naruto turned back to cooking.
“Thanks Hinata you know just what to say to make me feel better.” The blonde said as he leaned over and kissed her.
“So has Tsunami told you her name yet?”
“Yeah she’s going to name her Kasumi.” Naruto replied happily as he again turned to watch his daughter play with her half-brother.
“Mist huh, it’s a pretty name.” Karin said walking in and overhearing the two’s conversation. Walking in behind her were Haku, Fuu, Anko, Kin and Temari. Haku walked across to Naruto and Hinata and kissed the blonde as the other four went over to Inari and Kasumi.
“Hey Temari, Anko, where’s Hana and Shizune?” Naruto asked as Haku and Hinata took over the cooking and pushed him away and towards the others.
“Sorry Naruto, Hana won’t arrive until tomorrow and Shizune is stuck in the village helping Lady Tsunade deal with her new apprentice as well as the upcoming Chūnin Exams.” Anko replied as Naruto joined the others at the table.
“I didn’t think they’d do another Chūnin Exam for another couple of years.” Naruto said as he sat down and tried not to think about the last exam.
“Yeah apparently it’s something to do with the new peace agreement between the Hidden Leaf and the Hidden Sand.” Anko replied as she sat on Naruto’s lap, distracting him from the shared memories playing out before him.
“So are you going to be that hot sexy exam proctor again?” Naruto grinned as his arms snaked around Anko and held her close.
“Depends on where they hold the three exams. From what I’ve heard the first and perhaps the third exams will occur in Konoha and the two parts of the second exam will be held in the Hidden Sand.” Anko said as she leaned back against the blonde thinking about the naughty things she wanted to do with her sexy blonde playmate.
“Do you think Tsunade will ask me to take part in the Exams?” Naruto asked aloud.
“She will because Gaara, Kankurō and I are taking part in the exams.” Temari answered.
“The elders are letting Gaara out of the village, seriously?” Naruto asked shocked.
“Yeah they have to; Konoha wants him in the open so they can keep an eye on him during the exams.” Temari sighed as Naruto put the dots together.
“So the Hidden Sand wants me to compete as well. To keep me in the open like Gaara, oh this will be fun haha.” Naruto grinned as Temari looked at him questioningly. “Let’s see how much they like us teaming up during the exams that’ll piss them off.” Naruto chortled.
“What mischief have you got cooking inside that head of yours?” Temari smirked as she sat next to Naruto.
“Oh nothing too flashy just yet; anyway who’s Tsunade’s new apprentice?” Naruto replied as the mouthwatering smell of the cooking food wafted through the house.
“You won’t believe this but it’s Pinky.” Anko snickered as Naruto tilted his head and looked at her confused.
“Who’s Pinky?”
“That pink haired screeching fan girl who used to be on your team with Kakashi and the Uchiha prat. Apparently since you left to train as a sage Kakashi has only been training the Uchiha brat and neglecting to train her at all.” Anko answered.
“Interesting, training as a medic, it would suit her abilities and skills almost perfectly.” Naruto muttered deep in thought.

Naruto stared up at the fluffy white clouds as he and the others slowly made their way along the forest path. At the head of the group was Hinata her Byakugan active as she scanned the immediate area around them. Beside her was Hana who was flanked by her three ninja hounds who like Hinata were on high alert for anything out of the ordinary.
At the rear of the group were Haku, Kin and Anko who were whispering quietly to each other, the three of them occasionally looking at the blonde walking in front of them to see if he was still busy with the baby girl in his arms.
Naruto chuckled lightly as he listened in on their conversation. Beside him Tsunami was listening to Tazuna trying to teach Inari the difference in carpenters’ tools.
“Hinata can you see the next town yet?” Naruto called out.
“Yeah we’re about an hour out.” Hinata called back.
“Soo… Naruto what’s the deal with meeting Master Jiraiya in this particular town?” Temari asked as she sidled up on Naruto’s left.
“Jiraiya’s handing off a top secret document for us to pass onto Tsunade when we get back to Konoha. Since this village is suspicious of Shinobi we’re going in as mercenaries guarding Tazuna and his apprentice while on their way to a big job in the Land of Fire’s capital. Jiraiya should be staying at the hotel as a visiting merchant looking for a new place to do business. He’ll approach us about hiring us on as guards.” Naruto answered as he passed Kasumi to Tsunami.
“So killing three bird’s with one stone eh?” Temari smirked at her fellow blonde’s grin.
“You could say that, but Tazuna definitely has a richly paying job in the capital.” Naruto said as he chuckled at another of Inari’s inane questions. “I remember the first time I travelled with Tazuna. He was such an annoying loudmouth that I spent most of the trip wanting nothing more than to knock him out.” Naruto continued quietly so that neither Inari nor Tazuna could hear him talk smack about the old man.
“So you got his daughter pregnant instead?” Karin said Fuu chuckling beside the red head as she looked over her shoulder at the two blondes behind her.
“I didn’t plan on that, it just kinda of happened, not that I regret it. I can’t regret that ever.” Naruto smiled as he looked at his daughter.
“Naruto you better come see this.” Hinata called out as the group drew closer to the border town.
“What is it?” Naruto asked as he handed his daughter back to her mother before jogging over to Hinata and Hana, the former passing him a pair of binoculars and pointing to the town’s open gate.
“Look at the two men in black cloaks with red clouds and straw hats with white ribbons dangling from the rims.” Hinata plainly described for the blonde.
“What is it about them that have you both nervous?” Naruto asked as the three ninja hounds gave small whines after sniffing the air.
“The short one he’s an Uchiha. The tall one has extremely high chakra reserves, not quite as big as your reserves used to be but still more than any of us here.” Hinata replied using her Byakugan to scan the area.
“What’s that on his back a sword?” Naruto asked as he spied on the two with the binoculars.
“I don’t know I can’t see it behind those wrappings but chakra is leaking out of the man and into it.” Hinata replied.
“Let me see Naruto?” Haku asked as Naruto handed her the binoculars.
“Kisame Hoshigaki there’s no mistaking that sword.” Haku replied as she returned the binoculars to Naruto.
“Kisame, Kisame I know that name.” Hana said as she ruffled through her pack. “Ah here it is he’s an S-Ranked Rogue Ninja from the Hidden Mist, formerly a member of the Mist’s Seven Swordsmen, now suspected to be part of a terrorist organization, name unknown.” Hana said as she read from her Bingo Book.
“So what about the second person, Hinata you said they were an Uchiha did you see his eyes?” Naruto asked.
“Don’t need to. All Uchiha have a similar chakra network that is different to other clans. Just as my clan has slightly different chakra systems from other clans. Besides his chakra network is almost identical to Sasuke’s.” Hinata answered as she pointed down to the two men.
Naruto looked into the binoculars and stared into a pair of Sharingan eyes. “Shit he can’t see us here can he?” Naruto nervously asked while continuing to watch the two walk into the town without a single look backwards.

Naruto, Fuu, Hinata and Hana cautiously led the way into the town through the open gates. Naruto ignored the curious glances that were sent his way as almost every pair of eyes was drawn to his two tails.
“Can you still see them?” Naruto whispered to Hinata.
“Yeah they’ve turned down a side road and are now entering a bar.” Hinata whispered as the blonde nodded and motioned for the others to follow him.
They easily passed by the side road the two powerful ninja had turned down. They made it quickly to the hotel they would be staying in. Entering the extravagant lobby Naruto easily spied the white haired sage.
Beside him Hana snickered and Hinata sighed as they watched the apparently drunk sage chat up two maids. “Do people really fall for that?” Hinata asked as she deactivated her Byakugan.
“You’d be surprised how effective it can be.” Naruto replied as he overheard the two maids giving vivid details about two guests to the spymaster.
Behind them Tazuna and Inari entered the lobby and headed over to the receptionists desk with Tsunami trailing them, Kasumi secured tightly in her arms. The carpenter quickly got them three separate rooms with his guards getting a separate room to share.
The ninjas followed behind Tazuna as he led them upstairs to their rooms. Each seething as the carpenter seemed to relish the chance at bossing around the group of powerful ninja. They all filed into the room that Naruto would be sharing with the others. The blonde quickly placed silencing and privacy seals on the walls and doors so that nobody could listen in on them.
“Alright we’re in; Jiraiya should make contact with us later tonight. Hana, Hinata and Anko I need you to keep an eye on Itachi and his friend, let me know if they make a move towards the hotel. Tsunami and I will go down and mingle in the lobby. Tazuna, Inari do what you please just try and keep in character I don’t want to accidently destroy this town if we’re forced into a fight. Everyone else just enjoy yourselves and at least one person stay close to those two if they decide to leave the room, ok?” Naruto said as he looked at Tazuna especially.
“Alright we’re leaving then.” Anko said opening the door and leaving with Hinata, Hana and her three canines in tow.
“Shall we then Naruto?” Tsunami smiled as she grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door after her.
“Do all mothers show of their children?” Naruto chuckled as he was pulled along.
“So it wasn’t you who decided to show off his daughter to his grandfather figure?” Tsunami teased as she dropped his hand and led the way into the lobby.
“Yes ma’am, whatever you say.” Naruto said aloud falling into character as the woman’s bodyguard.
“Oh come on Naruto if anyone takes a closer look at her they’re going to know you’re the father.” Tsunami said pouting at the blonde.
“I wouldn’t be so sure, I look almost exactly like my father but nobody put two and two together.” Naruto said his smile fading away, his tails flickering back and forth.
“Hey where’s Jiraiya he isn’t here?” Tsunami asked looking around for the white haired spymaster.
“Hehe he’s in that room over there with those two maids from earlier, I thought only hookers were his type.” Naruto chuckled as they made their way to one of the plush couches.

They had only been sitting and talking quietly for twenty minutes before Tazuna and Inari walked down the stairs and into the lobby followed by Haku. At the same time Anko quickly entered from the main entrance and made a beeline for Naruto.
“Naruto we have a problem, Itachi made us.” Anko said quietly so that anybody trying to listen in wouldn’t hear them.
“Shit, how?” Naruto asked as he got up looking at Inari and Tazuna.
“He uses ravens as his eyes, if not for Hinata we wouldn’t even realize he was spying on us.” Anko answered.
“Clever, no wonder he’s so admired for his shinobi skills.” Naruto said shaking his head as he admired the Uchiha scapegoat. “Maybe it’s time I use my little trump card on him, what do you think?” Naruto continued as he sneaked a glance at the entryway.
“Sure if you can get him alone and away from Kisame, it should buy us sometime and he might trade a favor for a favor.” Anko replied as she thought about the dark secret Naruto had shared with them.
“Ok take Tsunami and Kasumi back to the room and bring Haku and Fuu back with you.” Naruto said as he smiled down at his daughter.
Naruto quickly walked out of the lobby out onto the busy street. He silently made his way through the streets to the inn that Itachi and Kisame had stopped at earlier. The cawing of a raven drew his attention to the roof of a shop on his right. Looking up at the ravens he could see a Sharingan in each of their right eyes.
Naruto jumped onto the roof opposite the murder of ravens. Taking a seat he waited for one of the ravens to make a move. He didn’t have to wait long before one of the ravens flew across the street and landed on the roof before him.
“Alright Itachi let’s talk, I’m sure you’d like to hear about your little brother, maybe about the Uchiha Coup you were ordered to end?” Naruto smirked at the raven which seemed to do a double take. “Oh yeah I know plenty of secrets I shouldn’t know, don’t worry Sasuke still thinks you butchered your clan for whatever reason, I don’t really care.”
“You smell really sick Itachi.” Naruto said as the elder Uchiha landed on the roof beside him.
“Your sense of smell is better than any Inuzuka, it’s quite impressive.” Itachi said quietly.
“So what are you doing here and what is it your new pals want to achieve?” Naruto asked finally turning to face Itachi.
“I’m meeting with Jiraiya. I’m his informant inside the Akatsuki. I was keeping tabs on Orochimaru before he got excommunicated from the organization.” Itachi replied.
“I see so that’s what you’ve been doing since then. So you’ll be happy to know that Danzō is dead.” Naruto smirked.
“I wouldn’t be so sure.”
“What do you mean?” Naruto asked his eyes narrowing in suspicion.
“You’ll find out soon enough.” Itachi grinned as he turned and watched Anko, Fuu and Haku run across the roofs of nearby buildings towards them.
The three Kunoichi landed beside the blonde, flanking him as he sat across from the Uchiha.
“It’s ok, Haku, Fuu, Anko meet Itachi Uchiha, the Pervy Sage’s informant inside the Akatsuki.” Naruto smirked as Anko snorted in derision and growled out, “You’re kidding me.”
“It’s good seeing you too Anko. Still playing around with the younger generations I see.” Itachi chuckled as Anko glared back at him.
“Shut the fuck up Itachi.” Anko snapped as she looked down at Naruto with a slight almost imperceptible blush on her face.
Itachi just chuckled as he returned his attention back to Naruto. “You asked what the Akatsuki are planning. From what the leader has let slip so far, it looks like they’re trying to get their hands on the nine Tailed Beasts.”
“What use could they have for the Tailed Beasts, only certain people can be Jinchūrikis anyway?” Naruto mused as he tried to think through the few possible reasons why these people would want the tailed beasts.
“Don’t hurt yourself thinking about it, their plans are still a few years off from even beginning.” Itachi said teasingly to the blonde.
“Anko’s right, Shut the fuck up Itachi.” Naruto growled, glaring across at the Uchiha. “Come on let’s get Hinata and Hana and head back to the hotel, see ya around Itachi.” Naruto said getting up and heading towards the roof’s edge.
“Naruto wait, how’s my brother, how’s Sasuke?” Itachi interrupted before the three could leave.
“He’s trouble, he’s incapable of working in a team, and he’s completely focused on killing you and gaining as much power as possible that he’d betray his comrades just for the slightest taste of power.” Naruto said looking over his shoulder at Itachi’s stone cold poker face before jumping down to the street.

Naruto walked beside Tsunami as they neared Konoha. Safely sealed away in his clothes and with three of his summons was all the info that Itachi had given to Jiraiya. “I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Naruto muttered as they neared the southern gate of Konoha.
“What can’t you believe Naruto?” Tsunami whispered looking up at Naruto with a worried look on her face.
“I promised you that I would never risk your life by bringing you to Konoha, but here I am within a league of Konoha with you and our daughter and it’s our final destination. Promise me you’ll stick close to me ok?” Naruto said as he stared ahead.
“I’ll stick close I promise.” Tsunami said as she took his left hand in her right as they rounded the bend in the road and came within sight of the Hokage Mountain.
“Alright everyone form up this is supposed to look like a proper mission.” Naruto called out watching as the group tightened their formation with the sensor ninjas up front and the rest formed up behind them and around Tazuna and his family.
Twenty minutes later they were walking through the southern gate of Konoha where they were greeted by Izumo and Kotetsu.
“Hey guys no problems with rogue ninjas again?” Kotetsu joked as Tazuna glared at the two gate guards.
“No all good so far but we still gotta see Lady Tsunade so who knows.” Anko joked back as she signed in the team followed by Temari signing in as a visitor.
The group quickly made their way down the main road through Konoha. Along the way Tsunami kept close to Naruto as he scanned the crowd for any approaching trouble. As they passed through the village without incident Naruto sighed in relief as they entered the Hokage Tower.
Making their way up the stairs to the Hokage’s office the group was met by Shizune.
“Hey Shizune is Tsunade free?” Naruto asked the pregnant raven haired assistant.
“Of course follow me. Lady Tsunade has been anxious to read Jiraiya’s report.” The raven haired assistant replied as she quickly led them into Tsunade’s office.
Tsunade looked up at the newcomers from a massive stack of papers in front of her. “Finally, you wouldn’t believe how much trouble has been going on here while you’ve been gone.” Tsunade groaned as she stretched out.
“Trouble, what trouble, does this have something to do with the upcoming Chūnin exams?” Naruto smirked as he summoned his three summons and unsealed Jiraiya’s reports and handed them over.
“Yeah they want Gaara to compete and so they demand that you also compete in the exams. So what do you say Naruto interested in doing the Chūnin Exams again?” Tsunade sighed as she massaged her temples.
“Sure, but I make my own team with Fuu and Karin.” Naruto answered.
“Done, you couldn’t have gone with Squad 7 anyway, Kakashi had you replaced about 2 weeks ago. Besides Kurenai wants Hinata back on her team for the upcoming Exams” Tsunade smirked as Naruto and Hinata looked at her surprised and shocked. “He finally gave in to Sasuke and took on one of the new Academy graduates to fill out his team along with Sakura.” Tsunade explained.
“Is it true you took Sakura on as an apprentice?” Naruto asked.
“I sure did and she is a natural. If she continues training at this rate she will be a better medic ninja than Shizune and perhaps even better than I am.” Tsunade replied with a hint of pride.
“So she took my advice after all.” Naruto smirked. “I’ll see you later Tsunade.” Naruto continued as he kissed Shizune before walking out with the others in tow.

Naruto watched as Shizune and Tsunade crooned and gushed over little Kasumi. Sitting on Naruto’s lap was Anko who was teasing the blonde Jinchūriki with whispered words of explicit sexual desires. Naruto squirmed as Anko was joined by Haku and Hana as they both got to work on teasing the blonde with just as descriptive whispers.
Naruto eyes narrowed as a handful of chakra signatures approached the apartment complex. Just as he was about to investigate Hana’s three ninja hounds began growling and snarling as they moved towards the door to the apartment.
“What’s going on Hana?” Tsunade asked as she passed Kasumi to her mother.
“A lot of people are converging on this place.” Hana replied quickly as she raced to one of the windows and sneaked a peek outside. “We got trouble there is a mob coming.” Hana said as Tsunade joined her.
“It’s not just some civilians with a few shinobi. There are some very powerful chakras that are surrounding the area just behind that mob. Naruto said as he closed his eyes and let his senses flare outwards to the unknown chakras.
“Point out those chakras to me Naruto.” Hinata said as she stood beside the blonde.
“Ok two people 200 feet that way, another person 50 yards to the right. Do you see them?” Naruto said pointing out the closest of the strong chakras.
“I see them they’re definitely not Leaf Shinobi.” Hinata replied. “Ok show me the others Naruto.”
“Ok to our right about 350 yards another three more. Slightly to their left is 1 more and to their right is another 2 people.”
“I see them, oh big problem 2 of them are definitely Leaf Shinobi.” Hinata said as she focused on the 2 leaf ninjas.
“Can you tell what clan they come from?” Tsunade asked.
“Yes one is from the Aburame Clan the other is from the Yūhi Clan.” Hinata replied confidently as Naruto began to point out the other strong chakra signals.
“So how many are from the Hidden Leaf Hinata?” Tsunade asked.
“Five the rest are from the Hidden Stone, the Hidden Rain and the Hidden Sound.” Hinata replied just as Naruto vanished in a flash.
Hinata watched as the lone chakra signal that belonged to one of the isolated Hidden Leaf ninjas disappeared. Deactivating her Byakugan as Naruto reappeared with an unconscious masked Ninja.
“Anybody recognize this piece of trash?” Naruto asked as he dumped the unconscious ninja on the floor.
“He’s one of Danzō’s Root Shinobi.” Tsunade replied as she pulled off the ninja’s mask revealing his face. Opening the unconscious ninja’s mouth she revealed the curse mark on their tongue.
“Hang on if he’s one of Danzō’s secret shinobi how can he still have an active curse mark? Unless he’s…” Naruto said.
“Yes Danzō must still be alive and if I had to guess he is working with Orochimaru.” Tsunade replied connecting the dots.
“Well fuck this I guess Itachi was right to doubt that bastard’s death. I wonder if they’re still going to go after Sasuke and the Sharingan?” Naruto thought aloud as the mob outside got closer.
“Lady Tsunade what are you going to do about this mob? We can’t have Naruto butcher them no matter how much they deserve it.” Shizune asked.
“Naruto you take Haku, Hinata, Hana and Anko and takedown those shinobi, Shizune and I will deal with the mob.” Tsunade said.
Naruto nodded as the four females surrounded him and taking a hold of his arms. In a blink they were gone as Naruto took them to each of the four groups of masked ninjas.

Tsunade shadowed by Shizune stepped out to face the mob that was begging to surround the apartment complex.
“What is the meaning of this?” Tsunade shouted flaring her chakra, sending a gust of wind into the faces of the mob.
“We’re here to rescue the demon’s hostages that he kidnapped.” A voice spoke out from the mob.
Tsunade’s eyebrow twitched in annoyance at the stupid response. ‘You’re kidding me?’ Tsunade thought as a shadow passed over her head. Taking a sneak peek she could see Naruto land on the roof above her, his hands holding a group of round objects. ‘If they’re what I think they are I could use this.’ She thought as a female shadow with four braids landed beside the blonde Jinchūriki.
“What are you idiots talking about? I hope you are not referring to the village’s clients that Naruto is protecting?” Tsunade said face palming.
“KILL HER SHE’S NOT THE HOKAGE SHE’S AN IMPOSTER.” A voice screamed out from the seething mob a pair of kunai came flying out of the mob towards Tsunade.
From above a small gust of wind caught the two kunai and let them drop harmlessly to the ground. Temari dropped down beside the Hokage and looked at the seething mob with annoyance. “Sorry I’m late Lady Hokage one of your assistants said you’d be here. I hope these people aren’t here to try and start another war between the Hidden Leaf and the Hidden Sand by harming the future Kazekage’s best friend.” Temari smirked as she played out Naruto’s twisted joke.
“You Sand Rats would just be defeated again; you can’t beat the Leaf especially with our unbeatable Jinchūriki.” Someone shouted out from the crowd.
“Really you think that do you? Tsunade you might as well have them arrested for treason.” Naruto spoke finally as he dropped from the roof and landed beside Temari throwing the 10 heads of the Leaf, Stone, Sound and Rain ninjas at Tsunade’s feet.
From amidst the now nervous mob a scream pierced the night sky. Pushing their way through the mob was a group of six Naruto clones dragging two of the mob behind them.
“I take it these two are the ones who threw those kunai at me?” Tsunade seethed as the team of blonde clones dumped the two would be assassins at the Hokage’s feet.
Reeling back Tsunade slugged the first one in the face sending him crashing back into the mob. As her dazed victim tried to get back to his feet she signaled for Naruto to grab him again. She scowled at the man as Naruto dragged him back to her feet. “Who are you Shinobi?” She asked cracking her knuckles in threat of punching the man again.
The man sneered and spat in Tsunade’s face. “Only Lord Orochimaru can order me.” The man shouted defiantly.
With the wad of spittle running down her face Tsunade slugged the man again snapping his head back so fast the man’s neck snapped. Before his body hit the floor she had turned to face the next man.
“Mercy Lady Hokage I had no idea who he was, I SWEAR.” The second man begged as the angry Hokage walked towards him.
“Yet you still threw a kunai at me, you still tried to KILL ME.” Tsunade seethed holding up one of the kunai that had been thrown at her.
“I’m Sorry Lady Hokage I don’t know what came over me, have mercy Lady Hokage.” the man groveled, pleading for his life.
“Well Naruto this is your lucky day, today you get to kill a civilian.” Tsunade said quietly so that only those close to her could hear her.
“Well about time.” Naruto grinned as he unsealed Fragarach and stepped closer to the groveling man.
“Wait please Lady Hokage mercy don’t let the demon kill me.” The man screamed in terror as Naruto stalked closer to him holding the foreign sword menacingly.
Seeing the sword in Naruto’s hand Tsunade called out, “wait Naruto, that sword, is that the one that stops people from lying?” she asked.
“Yep, you want me to use it?” Naruto replied with a wicked grin.
“Yes I want to know if he’s telling the truth or lying to me.” Tsunade replied as she stepped up beside Naruto. “Ok go ahead and do your magic.”
“Right here, right now, well aren’t you adventurous tonight.” Naruto grinned cheekily.
“Oh shut up that’s not the magic I want right now and you know it.” Tsunade growled at the blonde who just laughed and placed the blade of his sword against the man’s neck.
“Did you know who that man was?” Tsunade asked pointing to the dead man.
“Yes.” The kneeling man answered his face contorting as he tried to lie.
“Did you know he was a servant of Orochimaru?”
“Yes.”
“What was your plan tonight with this mob?”
“To kill or capture the Leaf Village’s Jinchūriki.”
“Is that all?”
“The mob attack was also supposed to be a diversion.”
“A diversion for what?” Tsunade growled her patience slipping away.
“I don’t know we weren’t told anything else in case we were captured and interrogated.”
“Kill him Naruto. I Tsunade Senju, the Fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf here by pronounce you guilty of treason, I sentence you to death.” Tsunade pronounced aloud so that the whole mob could hear her.
With grim determination Naruto raised Fragarach over his head and chopped down cleaving through the traitor’s neck in one blow.
“The rest of you get lost and go back to your homes, NOW!” Tsunade ordered flaring her chakra adding a massive amount of killing intent to her chakra that even the civilians could feel their blood freeze in their veins.

Across town four individuals repeatedly beat down and mocked a single dark haired teen.
