Hinata sat on the end of the bed and stared at the bathroom door. She’d heard Tenten go in a minute ago, so she waited. Another couple of minutes and Hinata heard the other door open and close and she headed in.
After she finished her business, she stood in front of the door to Tenten’s room. Lifting her hand, she quietly knocked. The door opened immediately and there was Tenten.
“Hi.” Hinata blushed. “I, um…” she trailed off, unsure of what to say.
“I was about to come over to your side. Do you want to…” she stopped and blushed.
“Yes.” Hinata giggled nervously and dragged Tenten back into her room. They curled up on the bed and Hinata pulled the extra blanket over them. Tenten cuddled up to Hinata and threw an arm around her. Hinata wrapped her arms around Tenten and cuddled as close as she could.
Tenten looked up at Hinata. “Um, sleep well.” She was blushing.
Hinata stared at her for a moment before kissing her gently on the lips. “You, too.” She whispered. Tenten’s eyes widened just a tiny bit before she returned the kiss. They took a moment to just savor the closeness.
Tenten sighed. “You know, I could go further with that, but I really am tired.”
Hinata giggled. “Me, too. It’s been a rough couple of days…” She trailed off and closed her eyes and in moments, they were both asleep.

Neji and Lee stood at the end of the bed and stared at the pair under the cover. Lee did an impressive imitation of a fish as he tried to figure out what to say. Finally, he closed his mouth and leaned over to Neji.
“We are…” he paused. “We are not going to be…replaced, are we?”
Neji glanced at the other man. “I sincerely doubt that. We still have some equipment that, I’m sure, both women like to have.”
Lee blushed profusely. “Hai, I guess you are right. Do you have any idea where this came from?”
Neji shrugged. “I think this is one of those things that we just don’t question too closely. Let’s just be happy about it and leave it at that.”
“You are so very intelligent Neji-san!” Lee exclaimed. Neji slapped a hand over his mouth.
“Be quiet. We don’t want to wake them.” Lee nodded quickly and Neji moved his hand. Neji placed a finger over his lips and then pointed to the door. Lee got the hint and they left.

Yasashii ushered them all into the dining room and the moved to take their seats. Kiba turned to Akamaru, “hey buddy, go hang out outside for a while.” Akamaru barked lightly and turned to leave.
“Oh, no, don’t go!” Yasashii called. She pointed to a cushion set in the corner. “Please, we have a place set for you, too.” Kiba grinned and mumbled quietly to Akamaru, who took his place on the cushion.
“Thank you very much, Yasashii-san.” He bowed his head to her.
“You’re quite welcome. He’s a real sweetheart. He kept me company most of the afternoon. Didn’t you, Akamaru?” She turned and scratched him behind the ears. “I know he’s not a pet, though I don’t pretend to understand how your clan works exactly. I do know he’s quite a bit more.” Akamaru’s tongue dangled as he enjoyed the attention.
“That’s true, he and I work together in a number of ways. I have a skill called “Human Mimicry” where he appears like me and likewise, I can appear like him – “Beast Mimicry.” Anyway, there’s a lot more to it than that. I appreciate your acceptance of him.” He bowed his head again.
“Of course.” She smiled at him again. “Alright, just a moment, we’ll have dinner ready.” She stood up and headed to the kitchen. Tenten and Hinata jumped up and headed in with her.
“Please, can we help?” Hinata said.
Yasashii turned to them and sighed. “I’m not going to be able to do much, am I?” She smiled at them when they shook their heads. “Very well. Shall we carry the food out?” Each of the women grabbed a dish and headed out to the dining room. It took several trips for everything to be moved.
There were all types of meats and vegetables. There was a small mountain of rice, tea, sake – which Tenten moved to the other end of the table – dumplings, more food than they could possibly eat. Hinata turned to Neji and picked up his plate. “What would you like?”
He sighed at her. “I’ve told you that you don’t have to do that. I’m perfectly capable of serving myself.”
“And I am your wife. It is my privilege. Many things have changed in the world, but I get pleasure from serving you. Let me.” She smiled up at him and waited.
Neji stared at her a moment before leaning in and kissing her softly on the lips. “I love you. I don’t think I told you that today.”
Hinata beamed. She kissed him back and whispered, “I love you, too.”
She didn’t wait for him to say more, but turned to the table and loaded rice and portions of all of his favorite foods onto his plate. She then picked up the teapot and poured his tea. “Would you like sake?”
“No, thank you.” He ran his fingers down the side of her face and, before she realized what he would do, he picked up her plate and served her. He poured her tea and set it in front of her. “Have you had your herbs today?”
She nodded. “Yes, this morning. I have enough for a couple of days, but I’ll need more soon.”
Yasashii looked up. “Herbs?”
“For morning sickness, I’ve had it awfully. Sakura-chan back in the Leaf gave me the recipe and it has helped so much.”
“I might need to try that. I’ve been pretty sick the last couple of days.” Tenten spoke up.
“Oh, of course, I’ll make some for you in the morning, too. Have you seen Sakura-chan yet?” Hinata turned to Tenten.
“Hai. But that was almost two weeks ago now, and she just confirmed the pregnancy. I’m not even sure, for sure, how far along I am.”
“Well, I can certainly help with that later, now that I know what to look for. Anyway, I’ll be happy to make you tea, too.” Hinata turned back to Yasashii.
“I have a fairly large herb garden. You’re welcome to take what you need.”
“Thank you, Yasashii-san. That will help things immensely.”
Neji turned to Mori. “You have an amazing library, Mori-san.”
“That library has been in this portion of the family for many generations. I am the fourth historian for the clan.” He spoke with pride.
Neji nodded. “That would explain it. You have reason to be proud of it. I can’t wait to get in and start reading.”
Mori chuckled. “I can get lost in there. There are days where Yasashii has to come in and literally drag me out. I get lost in books and even forget to eat.”
Everyone laughed. Mori turned to Shino. “Shino, could you tell me a little about your clan? I understand you work with bugs?”
“Bug nerd.” Kiba mumbled and got Shino’s elbow in his ribs for his trouble. The shinobi all laughed.
“I do. The Aburame have an agreement with a species we call “destruction bugs” that reside in our bodies. We are the hive for them and in exchange they do our bidding.” He raised a finger and one of his bugs flew out and landed on his jacket. Yasashii’s eyes widened. “He’ll go no further than I tell him to. They are intelligent, they can gather information for me, create a shield to defend me and attack anyone I order them to. I can also place a female on something I wish to track and the males can track her anywhere she goes.”
Mori stared. “That is incredible.”
“Thank you. I am fascinated by many other species and my clan also researches all forms of insects. I have even found a couple of species of beetles I am unfamiliar with. I look forward to studying them.”
Mori nodded. “You are also welcome to my library. We have a number of texts on the local flora and fauna. You may find some information there. There’s also a girl who comes around here. She is an expert on bugs, you may find her helpful. Mushiai is due to come by soon.”
“I look forward to discussing things with her. Thank you.”
Conversation, tea and dessert flowed for much of the evening. They discussed some of the politics of the Hyuuga clan, most of which their friends already knew. There was a lot of talk of Konoha and the rebuilding taking place.
Eventually, the ladies started to yawn and Lee and Neji recognized the signs. Neji turned to Yasashii and Mori. “My apologies, but it appears the ladies are getting tired. If you would excuse us, we’ll see to getting them settled.”
Hinata glared at him and Tenten scowled, but a moment later, they both yawned again. Reluctantly, the two couples got up, gave their thanks and made their bows before leaving.
As they returned to the rooms, Neji looked from one to the other. “Should we even bother with the pretense?” He chuckled when Hinata hit him on the shoulder.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Tenten sniffed.
Hinata giggled. “Let’s go, Tenten.” She opened the door to her room and dragged her inside, firmly closing the door in the men’s faces.
It didn’t last. Neji and Lee came into the room anyway. Neji examined the bed. It was very large – as large as theirs at home, maybe bigger. “Well, I’m not having sex with him,” he pointed his thumb in Lee’s direction, “but there’s enough room for all of us, if you two want to sleep next to each other again.”
Tenten laughed. “Maybe we’ll make you sleep in the next room.” She laughed harder at the look on Neji’s face. “Okay, okay. Nothing’s going to happen, though. We’re both tired.” They turned away from the guys and, after a brief embarrassed pause by both women, they started to undress.
Lee recognized the hesitation and turned around. That didn’t help, as there was a mirror over the dresser and he had a full view of Hinata and Tenten in nothing but panties and an undershirt. It was somehow worse than when they were naked in the shower. He turned to Neji. “I think I am kind of tired myself. It has been a very busy few days.”
And with that, Lee went around to Tenten’s side and undressed and crawled under the covers behind his wife.
Neji stared at the three for a moment. Hinata had gotten comfortable up against Tenten, leaving plenty of room behind her for him. Lee was spooning Tenten again, but didn’t even try to keep his arm away. This time, he simply wrapped his arm around his wife and snuggled into her back, his arm obviously up against Hinata.
Neji shook his head. This was definitely weird. Ah, well. He walked around the bed and stripped down, himself. He turned the lights off and slipped behind Hinata. When he wrapped his arm around her, he could feel Tenten up against him and her breasts resting on his arm. Along the other side was Lee’s arm. He squirmed a tiny bit, trying to ignore the rising desire.
He laid there for a moment, listening to the breathing in the room. He recognized when Hinata and Tenten’s breathing evened out. He suspected Lee was having similar thoughts to his own. What was happening here? Perhaps he should take his own advice from earlier and not question it too closely. It certainly wasn’t going to last after they went back to Konoha.
With effort, he managed to let go of the questions swimming around in his head and finally fell asleep.

The next morning, Hinata woke up first. Sandwiched between Neji and Tenten, she was warm and comfortable. She didn’t want to move at all.
She watched Tenten while she slept, a smile on her face. She must have been having good dreams. The arm she had under Tenten’s head was stretched out and she could feel Lee’s face against her hand. That’s when she felt another hand on her breast. She looked down to see Neji’s hand resting on the babies. Tenten’s hand was on her own abdomen…and Lee’s hand was on her breast.
She giggled quietly. She bet he didn’t even know he was doing it.
Tenten’s eyes opened then and she looked up at Hinata. “Hi.” She whispered.
“Hi yourself. Your husband’s hand is on my breast.” She giggled again.
Tenten chuckled. “I wonder if he realizes it’s not mine.” She gave a small shrug. “I don’t care. I think the bigger concern here would be Neji.”
“Don’t mind me.” Neji mumbled from behind Hinata. “I woke up at some point during the night with your breast in my hand. Sorry, Hinata, my dear.”
“I don’t mind.” Hinata laughed, which woke Lee. He squeezed her breast a little in his surprise. The motion caught Hinata off guard and she moaned. He moved his hand as if he’d been scalded.
“Hinata-chan! I am sorry!” Lee’s face was pale as he looked at Neji.
“Don’t worry, Lee, I’m not going to kill you. As long as you don’t try to kill me, either. I woke up with my hand on your wife during the night, too.”
Lee stared from Neji to Tenten, then shrugged. “This has been so odd already, I suppose it does not matter.” He snuggled into Tenten and kissed her neck and ear.
She moaned quietly. “If we don’t get moving, we’ll be in this bed all day.” She sighed.
Hinata giggled again. “You’re right, Tenten. Let’s get going.” She elbowed Neji to get him to move. Lee and Tenten went into their room and Hinata and Neji got up. She leaned into the bathroom. “It might be wise to take separate showers, too.” She laughed at the strangled look on Lee’s face before she closed the bathroom door.
