�I�m in the fucking
twilight zone,� thought the
Hokage as she watched her heir and his lover quarrel in her office. It was time
for Naruto�s weekly update and now the Hokage-wannabe had very little chance of

definitively showing. He had to wear trousers with elastic hems instead of
zippers and the taller Uchiha had managed to get a large shirt, a shirt that was

And the argument this
time was about the doll that Uchiha still held on to. Naruto didn�t like it and
felt like a girl when he had to change the diapers, her clothes and all that.

�Sasuke-bastard, get rid
of that doll or else,� growled Naruto as he tried to grab hold of the life-like
doll on Sasuke�s chest.

�Hands off, you and I
will raise this baby together,� came the quick reply.

The two boys stopped
their bickering and looked the Hokage with wide eyes. Naruto began to laugh

grunted something and crossed his arms over the doll that was cradled against
his chest. Tsunade mentally sighed and rose to her feet and walked over to
Naruto and guided him into the room where she would check his vitals. Naruto sat
down on the examination-table and pulled up the shirt.

Sasuke�s eyes looked

�So� have you thought of

much different way than he had at Tsunade�s examination-room.

�If it�s a girl�. I
thought Hikari would be a good name,� said Sasuke and watched as his hand moved
over the stretched belly. �Hikari means light and you are the light in my life,
Naruto. And if it�s a girl, she will be the light that we both have created.�

�Hikari is a very good
name, Koibito,� said Naruto and agreed on that name. �And if it�s a boy?�

�Souta�. I had a younger

�It�s ok, Sasuke� we can
name him Souta if it�s a boy,� said Naruto and turned a bit so he could comfort
his lover. He sensed that Sasuke was about to fall into a grieving state once
again he wanted to make sure that Sasuke knew that he always was going to be
there for him no matter what happened.

They lay like that for
several hours and in the end they both fell asleep.

Sasuke knew that they
couldn�t live in Naruto�s apartment, no matter how cosy the place had become. It
was just too small. One bedroom, one living room and a kitchen, it was not going
to fit the criteria for the small family. So Sasuke decided that he would take
over the Uchiha-estate like the rightful owner he was. But he needed some help
to create a nursery and lot of other things and he asked Hinata, Ino and Temari
to help him. Because in Sasuke�s mind � girls were good at those things.

But what Sasuke didn�t
count on was that the girls would involve all their friends in order to make the
old and gloomy estate into a baby friendly place. Two weeks after Sasuke had
felt his baby for the first time he stood at the gate of his old home. He
shivered a bit but shrugged it off and opened the gates and entered the
compound. The ghosts from his past were still haunting the place.

�Sasuke-kun, are you ok?�
came a soft voice from behind and Sasuke turned around and saw Hyuuga, Hinata
and her Gaara stand behind him. �You look troubled, Sasuke-kun��

�Hinata-san,
Kazekage-sama� � greeted Sasuke and bowed at them. �I�m not too comfortable with
being here, but I just have to cope won�t I? We need more space because of the
baby and I hope that we can change the energies inside this place. Will you help

course we will help you,� said Hinata with a soft smile and nodded towards
something that was hidden behind the gates and when Sasuke looked he saw the
whole gang of friends behind it. �You will have your estate back in no time� �

Tenten and Kankurou took
on the task of cleaning up every floor in the estate. Temari and Neji said they
would dust the place. Shino and Kiba offered themselves to find new curtains
together with Ino and Choji. Sasuke gave strict orders about curtains with bugs
or puppies on them, he did not want to scar his little kit when it moved into
the house. And the last couple took it upon their shoulders to find toys and
clothes for the baby � Rock Lee and Sasame headed straight for the baby shops in
Konoha. Sasuke whispered something to Sasame about not buying everything in
green.

Sasuke was a bit
reluctant to leave Rock Lee in charge of getting things for his baby, but Hinata
and Ino assured him that Sasame was going to make sure that things didn�t go out
of hand. Sasame had a big influence of the taijutsu-using boy and Sasuke decided
that he would trust the girls� judgement in this case, and if he didn�t like it,
he could always change it himself.

This arrangement was set
for the week to come and as each day that passed, Sasuke could feel the energy
in his old home transform into a place that you liked to be at. Even his
parents� bedroom became a place where you would enjoy sitting or even sleeping.

And while all this was
going on, Sasuke had asked Tsunade and Shizune to take Naruto out and buy some
more clothes. Those he owned was about to rip apart. Tsunade and Shizune were
glad to be of service. Naruto did protest but in the end it was three against
one and he gave up, but he sent a dark glare at his lover, silently telling him
that he would pay for this.

Shizune tried to hold
back their leader�s enthusiasm as the Hokage roamed through the store and picked
up clothes here and there. Naruto exploded as Tsunade held up a large dress.

�I will not wear a
woman�s dress. Forget it old hag!!� shouted Naruto and waved his arms
about.

�But Naruto-kun, you
would look so cute in it,� pouted Tsunade and looked at the dress and then at
Naruto.

�No way lady!!�

Shizune sighed and
mumbled something about them acting like children and that got them quiet� for
about three seconds.

In the end they did find
some new clothes for Naruto and as they went back to his apartment they left a
bunch of stunned store-people behind. They knew about Naruto and the thing he
was housing, but a boy that was pregnant??? That was totally shocking and they
just gaped widely when they saw the �football� underneath Naruto�s clothes. But
since he was with the Hokage, everything had to be just fine right? She even
paid for the new clothes. Yes, strange as it seemed they just had to accept it.

�I have a surprise for
you Naruto,� said Sasuke one Sunday afternoon as they stood in the shower.

loved the feeling of knowing that inside there was his baby.

�A surprise?� asked

�If I told you it

continued to put on one of Sasuke�s large blue shirts with the clan-sign on it.

�What??!� asked Naruto
and blushed when he saw Sasuke�s intensive eyes.

�It was not Hokage-sama
or Shizune-san that decided to buy that pair of pants� am I right?� asked Sasuke
and helped Naruto to button up the dark blue shirt.

Naruto nodded, he had
chosen it because the frog on the front looked like Gamabunta, the frog boss. He
had fallen for the pants the moment he saw them and even if Tsunade and Shizune
wanted to protest against them, he refused to listen to them. If he couldn�t
have these then he wouldn�t have anything else either.

�You don�t like them?�
asked Naruto quietly.

�I like them, Naruto. It
was a cute frog,� said Sasuke and kissed Naruto on the nose. �Come, I want to
show you the surprise.�

They exited the apartment
and Sasuke took a gentle hold of Naruto�s hand and guided him through the
streets towards the Uchiha-estate.

When Naruto realized
where they were heading he got confused but stayed silent until they were at the
front gates.

�Sasuke� why are we here?
You don�t like this place,� said Naruto and looked at Sasuke.

�Come, I want to show you
something,� said Sasuke without answering Naruto�s questions. He opened the gate
and led Naruto inside. He could feel the chakras of all their friends, but they
stayed hidden until it was time to come out.

Naruto was led inside the
house and he gasped a bit when he saw what had happened. It was no longer the
cold and gloomy place. New curtains in every room, flower pots that sparkled
with colours. On the tables lay new table cloths.

�Sasuke�� breathed Naruto
as he began to look around. �W-what have you done?�

�You don�t like it?�

�I love it� its
beautiful!! When did you do all this??�

�Well, I�ve got a bit of
help from our friends since I thought we needed more space when the baby
arrives,� said Sasuke and as on cue their friends came out of their hiding
place.

Naruto�s eyes became
moist and he began to cry in happiness. He hugged them all and thanked them for
their help. But there was one room he hadn�t seen yet and Sasuke took his hand
and led him into the room he had decided would be the nursery.

Sasuke was very pleased
with the decorations and things that filled the room. Although there were a lot
of very green frogs, courtesy of one Rock Lee of course.

�Sasuke�� Naruto�s voice
whispered as he walked around in the room, his fingers moved over the nursing
table, the little cradle and the stuffed animals. He opened a closet and saw all
the baby clothes inside. Everything was set for the baby.

Sasuke oofed a bit when
Naruto flung his arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. Sasuke laughed
softly and put his arms around Naruto�s waist and held him against him. He could
feel the evidence of their love kick him in the stomach and it caused him to
laugh even more. �So you like it too, little kit?� he mentally asked the
baby and received yet another kick. �Yeah, I like it as

�Thank you, Sasuke� I
love you so much,� cried Naruto and held on tighter.

�Anything for you my

They all went outside to
the garden and Naruto saw his next surprise. A feast worthy of the gods
themselves was displayed in front of him and he saw Tsunade, standing next to
her was Shikamaru. Shizune, Iruka and Kakashi were there too. Even Jiraiya and
with him was the foul talking young woman they had caught in Suna. But it looked
as if she had been released since she was here. But why was she here??

�I thought I would teach
her a thing or two about how to behave,� mumbled Jiraiya and you could see a
slight, shy blush on his cheeks.

Everyone was there�
Everyone but Sakura.

They all sat down around
the tables that had been pushed together to form a giant one and the feast
started.

�They are all gathered
here and I think it�s time they learned the truth about what happened to
Sakura-san,� thought Tsunade
as she looked around the table. Everyone was smiling and the atmosphere was just
like a healing balm for the soul. But they had a right to know about what to
their friend and she was the one to tell them. Tsunade rose to her feet and it
got everyone�s attention.

�I have something to tell
you and it�s something that will burst this happy moment but you have the right
to know,� began Tsunade and took a deep breath as to calm herself down a bit.

�Hokage-sama,� whispered
Shizune who realized what was about to be told.

�Four months ago
something beautiful happened and it was the start of many beautiful things.
Naruto and Sasuke found each other and we all are happy for them,� continued
Tsunade and she saw everyone nod at this.

�But there was one that
wasn�t happy. In fact, she was going to kill Naruto for stealing her love away
from her�.. Haruno, Sakura� Yes, my apprentice and Sasuke�s and Naruto�s former
team mate lost her sanity and were going to kill Naruto if Kakashi-san hadn�t
stopped her.�

Sasuke put his arm around
Naruto and pulled him closer as if to protect him from some form of invisible
threat. �Sakura� no, no.. not Sakura..� His heart was filled with pain
and he closed his eyes.

�I have tried my best to
cure her insanity but have failed. She�s lost to us and she will never be able
to run free again. I will continue to try and heal her mental illness but as
long as she doesn�t want to accept the fact that Naruto is the one Sasuke loves
she will never be able to heal.� Tsunade fought the tears, but in the end she
failed. She really felt sorry for the young girl and she wiped them away
angrily. She hated crying.

�Where is she?� asked
Rock Lee and Naruto with one voice.

�She�s kept safe in a
secret medical facility. And she will remain there until she�s either healed
or... dies. And you can not visit her, I�m sorry,� said Tsunade.

�Sasuke�,� whispered
Naruto and buried his face in Sasuke�s neck. It was his fault that Sakura was
insane. It was because of him that Sakura was locked up and denied freedom.

�No, Naruto, don�t even
think like that,� growled Sasuke when he sensed the guilt in Naruto. �She
brought it upon her self and you know it. You can not rule over the heart and if
your love is choosing another, then you will accept it and go on with your life.
Sakura couldn�t do that and now she has to pay the prize.�

�But� she�s our friend��
sobbed Naruto and held Sasuke tighter.

�Yes, and she will always
be our friend, but if she can not accept that you are the one I will grow old
and die with, then she has no right to be our friend.�

�Who�s this Sakura
anyway?� asked Kin where she sat next to Jiraiya.

�She was our team mate
and she was the one who fought against Ino-chan over there,� said Kakashi and
pointed towards the blonde kunoichi. �Perhaps you remember her� she has pink
hair and large, green eyes.�

�And a big forehead,�
filled Ino in with a sad smile. She had yet to accept that her best friend from
her childhood was mentally instable.

�Yeah, I remember that
girl. And you�re right; she did have a large forehead. Was she smart or
something?� asked Kin and gripped an orange and began to peal it.

�Yes, she�s pretty
smart,� sobbed Naruto.

�Let us all hope for the
best. She is still young; she can still turn around and get better. So let us
hope that she will do that,� said the gentle Iruka and smiled at the teary
Naruto who nodded in reply.

�I have thought of
telling you earlier, but there have never been the right moment and I�m sorry to
burst this happy moment with this information, but I thought you wanted to
know,� said Tsunade and her hazel nut eyes was sorrowful.

Shikamaru rose to his
feet and hugged his beloved leader. He had stopped worrying about if anyone
found out about him and Tsunade. He loved her and he would not be ashamed of his
feelings. He could feel Tsunade hugging him back and he knew that she would not
feel ashamed either.

�Well, now let us
continue the party and pray that Sakura-san will come to her senses in the
future,� said Rock Lee and everyone agreed on that.

Tsunade was glad and
relieved to have told them and she could go to bed with clean consciousness. She
smiled weakly at Shikamaru and the lazy boy grabbed the opportunity and kissed
her passionately.

�I love you, Tsunade,� he
whispered when he saw her blushing face.

�I love you too,
Shikamaru-kun,� she answered him back.

Naruto was grabbed by
Sasuke and placed in the Uchiha�s lap. Sasuke found some grapes and began
feeding them to his pregnant dobe. Naruto laughed a bit nervously and looked
around, but nobody was looking at them with taunt in their eyes. Instead they
just smiled happily and Naruto relaxed and let Sasuke feed him.

Everything was going to
turn out just fine.

*hands out tissues (in case of nosebleeds), tooth brushes
(don't want you to have tooth ache before New Year's Eve), and napkins (to dry
those tears away)*

The ending is closing in...

And I'm thinking of continuing the story every once in
awhile, to make individual stories about Tenten/Kankurou, Hinata/Gaara and so
on. But it is just a thought at the moment. I will do what my muse tells me to
do.
