A/N: Sorry this chapter is late, its been done and ready for upload for about 4 weeks or so after weeks of editing and rewriting multiple times so i hope you like the chapter.

Chapter 25: A Fox Plays in Snow
Hidden Leaf Village, Morning after Mission Brief
Naruto was waiting at the Southern Gate as the sun rose behind him as he leaned back against the giant wooden gates. Beside him were Hinata, Haku, Fuu and Karin who like him were waiting for the rest of their team to arrive.
“You’re so lucky Naruto going on a mission with Princess Gale and getting to go to the premiere of her new movie, I’m so jealous.” Fuu squealed in glee throwing her arms around him.
“Get off him Fuu, you’ll…” Haku said stopping mid-sentence as Shizune approached them with a happy smile on her face.
“No way she isn’t is she?” Karin asked as all four Kunoichi looked between Shizune and Naruto.
“We will see soon enough.” Haku replied as Shizune walked up to Naruto and kissed him passionately, his arms slipping around her waist as he drew her closer to him.
“So what’s got you all happy this morning Shizune?” Hinata asked as the blonde broke the kiss, while running a glowing hand down to her stomach.
“I’m pregnant; I got a positive response this morning.” Shizune replied as she ran her own glowing hand down to her stomach.
“So you got what you want, did Tsunade get what she wanted?” Karin asked hiding her apathy from all except Naruto who glared at her as he unzipped Shizune’s sleeveless green flak jacket and pulled the top of her robe to one-side revealing his mark next to her neck.
Neither Haku nor Hinata were surprised to see Shizune with a Nine-Tails chakra tattoo. Similar to their own tattoos it had a crouching and snarling nine-tailed fox standing upon the leaf symbol of Konoha. Its nine tails holding the Uzumaki clan symbol on it. In the middle of the swirl was the clan symbol for the Kato clan.
“Yes Lady Tsunade is also pregnant and as promised all the information she has about the Land of Eddies and the Hidden Whirlpool is in here.” Shizune said as she pulled out a sealed scroll and passed it to Naruto who quickly sealed it away for later.
“So where is the rest of your team? I thought we were supposed to be leaving soon.” Haku asked looking around for Anko, Hana and Yūgao.”
They’ll be here in ten minutes. Hana is dealing with one of her patients while both Anko and Yūgao are getting some instructions from Lady Tsunade.” Shizune replied ticking each one off with her fingers.
Sensing his old team coming Naruto quickly kissed Shizune again as he put her clothes back into place, zipping her jacket back up again.
Rounding a corner across from them was Sakura and Sasuke who both looked at the female surrounded blonde and walked across to the other side to wait. Naruto smiled wickedly as their unmasked emotions assaulted his senses.
“What’s so funny Naruto?” Shizune asked quietly so the two across the entryway wouldn’t hear her.
“They aren’t masking their emotions are they?” Hinata whispered beside him.
“Nope and it’s exactly as Tsunami said they were. She may not be a Kunoichi but she has very good judgment of the people she meets.” Naruto chuckled emotionally feeding on his two teammates’ raw emotions.
“Here comes the rest of your team Shizune.” Naruto said about five minutes later as they were idly chatting about Naruto’s trip to the Land of Waves.
About thirty seconds after speaking, the other three members of Shizune’s team walked out into the open gateway. Watching them walk towards them Naruto could see Hana’s nose give a few quick sniffs of the air as they neared.
“Shizune you horny bitch show us.” Hana said as the three new arrivals stood around the group and closed in around Shizune.
“What you mean this?” Shizune replied as she unzipped her flak jacket, pulling the top of her robe aside to show of her tattoo. Hana’s three canine companions began sniffing at Shizune’s stomach as she unzipped her flak jacket.
“You’re pregnant too?” Hana asked a bit more loudly than she had intended as she listened to the eldest of her canines.
“Yep.” Shizune smiled happily as her friends hugged her and congratulated her.
Beside her Naruto’s eyes were on his two temporary teammates watching and studying them from under his bangs.
“We’d best get underway this mission won’t accomplish itself.” Shizune said zipping her jacket back up and leading her two squads through the gate.
“Be careful Naruto ok.” Hinata whispered as she quickly kissed him before following the other seven women past the gates. Naruto watched them leave until they were out of sight.
Turning his head back towards the other two people across from him, he asked, “Is Kakashi still doing his late arrivals?”
“Yeah, he is.” Sakura sighed as Sasuke just huffed and looked away again.
With a sigh Naruto sat down drawing out his two crescent daggers and a smooth polished whetstone and began running the stone down the blades polishing and sharping them to a razor’s edge.

The aftermath of battle played out before their eyes. Rain was whipped across the battlefield by gale winds.
Naruto watched intrigued by the film’s desolate scene. Hanging upside down beside him were Sakura and Sasuke just a bit further on. The three watched with baited breath as the music score picked up in tempo and cadence.
Just as the scene reached its most climactic a loud and obnoxious voice called out. “Hey you up there, what the fuck are you doing sneaking in here without paying you lazy little free-loaders?”
With a tick of his eyebrow Naruto flashed down to the ground beside the obnoxious man. Grabbing him by the head he smashed it down into the wooden floor before pulling out his ticket and receipt. “We fucking have tickets you fucking moron you were the one who sold them to us.” Naruto snarled showing his canines before gnashing his teeth together in front of the groggy employee.
“Naruto, why did you do that?” Sakura gasped as blood seeped out of the man’s broken nose.
“Meh he deserved it besides I didn’t kill him.” Naruto huffed letting go of the man’s head and walking out of the theater. “Enjoy the rest of the movie, I’ll see you outside.” Naruto said annoyed by the usher’s obnoxious outburst.
Naruto walked outside with a medium sized box of popcorn in his hand. Looking around at the somewhat empty street he decided to walk around to the empty lot beside the theater. Sitting down on a pile of timber planks he bit his right thumb and placed his hand on the ground. “Summoning Jutsu.”
From a small puff of smoke stepped a small reddish orange fox with nine tails. “Hey Kurama want some popcorn?” Naruto said as he put some in his open hand and held it out for the fox to eat.
*yawn* “What is this place Naruto?” Kurama yawned before eating the offered popcorn.
“I think the town is called Uzumasa, we’re in a movie town with a natural harbor.” Naruto answered as he ate his own handful of warm delicious popcorn. “Hey Kurama any word from Hinata or Haku?”
“Not really, they’ve arrived in the Land of Waves and are on their way to the harbor now.” Kurama said as he ate another handful of popcorn.
“Thanks for the update Kurama enjoying the popcorn?”
“It’s ok but couldn’t you have gotten some nice juicy meat or something.”
“Sorry my bad.” Naruto laughed as he fed on another handful of popcorn.
“Where are the others?”
“In the theater watching the new Princess Gale movie.”
“You really shouldn’t have hurt that man Naruto.” Sakura said as she and Sasuke walked over to them.
“Sheesh all I did was bust his face open. At least I didn’t kill him, though it would have felt good.” Naruto said as he fed on more popcorn with Kurama.
“Let it go Sakura besides we’re supposed to wait here for Kakashi sensei.” Sasuke said as he reclined on a second pile of timber planks.
“Huh, late as always, just typical.” Sakura sighed as she sat down on the grass with day dreamy eyes as she muttered to herself about handsome actors.
As they waited the thundering of horses hooves came to them startling Sakura and Sasuke out of their own thoughts. As the sound of the thundering hooves got closer Naruto and Kurama quickly got up, both backing away from the closed gate behind them.
All three ninja watched as a white horse leaped over the two meter wooden fence. On the horse’s back was Princess Gale. They watched shocked as the horse landed and bolted for the busy street.
“Kurama get back.” Naruto called as he jumped back from the in-swinging gate as Sakura and Sasuke scrambled to get clear.
Thirteen brown horses with fully armored riders burst through the open gate. The dust cloud the horses kicked up choking the three ninja and little nine tailed fox.
“Damn it after them, we can’t let them get Yukie. You know what to do.” Naruto shouted as he held his arm out for Kurama to climb up before sprinting after the charging horses.
Reaching the busy street Naruto jumped up onto the nearest roof and began to follow the chasing horsemen as they began to box-in the fleeing Yukie.
As a horseman drew a net from the large saddlebag behind him, Naruto drew forth two handfuls of shuriken as Yukie’s horse burst through a market stall.
As the armored rider threw the weighted net Naruto threw his shuriken cutting the net to shreds. All eyes turned to the darkly dressed ninja with sun brightened golden hair as he leapt down from the roof.
With crossed fingers he summoned nine clones. They landed on three of the armored riders knocking them and their horses to the ground. Knocking out the three armored riders he dispelled his clones and chased after Yukie and the remaining armored riders.
To his left on the roofs above, Sasuke gave the signal that the armored riders were chasing their fake copy. Turning right Naruto headed for the small river that ran through the town separating the rich town center and the poorer outer suburbs.
Beside the river watering her horse was Yukie Fujikaze fully dressed as her character Princess Gale. “So who are you running from?” Naruto asked as he squatted down beside her, Kurama on his shoulder looking down at the kneeling actress.
“Running? I’m not running from anybody.” Yukie answered in a huff looking away from the blonde ninja.
“So if you weren’t running, who were you fleeing from then, hmmm? Who were those armored men chasing after you?” Naruto asked hands on hips as he looked closely at the actress as she stared off into space.

“So who were those men? Why were those men chasing you?” Naruto asked again as the bartender placed another bottle of sake in front of the actress.
“They’re the stunt men from the set.” Yukie muttered as she filled up the shot glass in her hand.
“So you are running away from the set why?” Naruto asked sipping from the glass of cider in front of him.
“They want to shoot the next film in the Land of Snow and I absolutely hate the cold.” Yukie said throwing back the shot before refilling it from the new bottle of sake.
“So you wanna run away from the crew? Is that why someone hired a ninja team to guard you?” Naruto asked hiding his lopsided smile behind his glass.
“I guess so, you gonna drag me back in chains then?” Yukie chuckled as she slammed down the shot.
“Chains huh, sounds like fun. I wouldn’t mind seeing you all bound and chained.” Naruto chuckled. He almost choked on his drink at the shocked and incredulous look she gave him.
“What?” He asked as she continued to look at him with that same incredulous look.
“You’re what not even fifteen and you can think of something like that?” Yukie asked shocked at the blonde’s casual use of sexually depraved innuendo.
“Listen lady I’m a shinobi, I’m trained to fight, lie, cheat, steal, kill in combat, murder and assassinate in cold blood and to fuck even doing them all at the same time.” Naruto said calmly as he gulped down the rest of the drink.
“Is that so?” Yukie slurred as she looked at the blonde with a little twinkle of mischievous in her eyes.
“So mister powerful and oh so experienced shinobi you still a virgin? Are your hands free of any bloodletting?” Yukie chuckled as she tried hard not to break out in laughter.
“Nope and nope.” Naruto chuckled as the bartender refilled his glass. “I’ve killed bandits, shinobi, and civilians my hands have long been drowned in blood.” Naruto finished as he drank from his refilled glass. “Now that all that’s been cleared up, why don’t you tell me why you really don’t want to go to the Land of Snow?”
“Going back to the Land of Snow will be the death of me.” Yukie whispered as she placed her shot glass down.
“What do you mean going back will be the death of you?” Naruto asked finally getting through to the nitty gritty truth behind Yukie Fujikaze.
“Can you keep a secret Naruto?” Yukie asked solemnly as she looked earnestly at the blonde.
“Yes.” Naruto said quietly as Yukie leaned in close to his ear. His hand quickly snatched her hand as she went to grab the pepper spray device built in to her earring. “That won’t work! I could smell that shit the moment I found you near the river.” Naruto growled looking at Kakashi and the rest of his team as they entered the bar with Sandayu.
“I’ll take things from here Naruto.” Kakashi said as he uncovered his Sharingan and put the actress to sleep with a Genjutsu.

The boat trip towards the Land of Snow was uneventful during the first five days. Well except for the first day when Yukie freaked out when she found out she was on the boat heading towards the Land of Snow. The only thing that alleviated Naruto and Kurama’s boredom were the scenes being filmed for the new Princess Gale film.
This morning one of the director’s assistants woke the whole ship as the early morning fog parted before the prow of the ship to reveal a massive icebound landmass, so excited by the sight of the massive iceberg before them the director order the ship to drop anchor so that they could film a full set of scenes on the floating range of icebound mountains.
On the ice covered beach Naruto yawned as he watched the actors and stunt men go step-by-step through the upcoming fight scene. Around the beach the other crew members were huddled around metal bins that contained a nice burning heat source.
“Kurama does something feel off about this place?” Naruto yawned as he asked the little fox who was wrapped around his neck and shoulders.
“So you feel it too, like being watched by multiple eyes? The air not being as cold as it should be for the terrain around us?” Kurama replied in his head as he lifted his head and tried to smell something.
“You can’t smell anything either?”
“No, I can smell things but I have blind spots, something is definitely blocking my sense of smell in three areas.”
“Where show me?” Naruto asked as the fox pointed out the three spots on the mountain sides that had blind spots to Kurama’s sense of smell. “Do you think someone’s there watching us?”
“No doubt, let’s wait and see what they have in store for us.” Kurama cautioned as the actors and stuntmen started to move out towards the mountains as the filming team set up the cameras and lighting rigs.
“Looks like things are about to kick-off.” Naruto said cracking his knuckles and flicking his snow white cloak over his shoulders as he moved away from the burning brazier to join the rest of Squad Seven standing beside the director on his high chair.
As the actors got into position on the mountainside Naruto couldn’t help but feel a little giddy as the director called action.
Just as the actor playing the villain started his monologue two large explosions rocked the icy mountainside, a small avalanche rolling down towards the actors.
“Everybody move now, RUN!” Kakashi ordered yelling the last word as he motioned for the rest of the team to move into position.
Squad Seven jumped into action landing between the faltering avalanche and the fleeing actors. The squad didn’t have to wait long for their enemies to show themselves. Sakura and Sasuke tensed up as three people threw off the snow blankets that had hidden them from the elements and their sight.
“I was right; something about them is blocking my ability to smell them.” Kurama said in Naruto’s head as he looked around at the three enemies high above them.
“Welcome Princess Koyuki so glad you could make it, I do hope you’re still carrying the Hex Crystal.” The female enemy spoke.
A cold feeling embedded itself in Naruto’s stomach as he recognized the three body guards of the man who ordered Yukie’s kidnapping.
“Kakashi it’s them the ones from the warehouse.” Naruto said as Kurama uncurled from around his shoulders and jumped down unto the snowy ground.
“Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke protect Yukie at all costs this is our mission and it just went up a Rank.” Kakashi ordered as the three ninja above them jumped into motion. “Everybody get back to the ship, NOW!” Kakashi ordered the civilians in the filming crew.
“Kurama dive into the snow and protect Yukie got it.” Naruto said as he shielded the fox from view.
“Got it but you’ll owe me one.” Kurama said burrowing into the snow and heading towards the stunned actress/princess.
“Yeah whatever.” Naruto muttered as the little fox left.
  Readying himself he stepped to the right as the largest of the three enemies attacked him pulling out a large metal board. To his left Sasuke stepped further to the left as the sole female of the group attacked them. During all this Kakashi had rushed ahead to confront the third member of the enemy team. The two of them exchanging a few blows before breaking apart.
Naruto faced off against the large man with his metal snowboard. The snow ninja jumped on to the board and charged at Naruto who dodged to the left. The snow ninja swung around for another pass turning his back to the rest of Squad Seven. Taking this opportunity Sasuke threw a handful of kunai at the charging snow ninja as Naruto again easily dodge the charging snow ninja.
Sasuke’s kunai shattered as they connected with an invisible barrier. Deciding to try something bigger and strong he threw his Demon Wind Shuriken at the snow ninja only for it to shatter into a multitude of pieces. Out the corner of his eye he saw the female snow ninja forming a few hand signs and unleash a volley of ice shards at him. He dodged out of the way weaving his own hand signs. ‘Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu.’ He intoned as he blasted the ice shards with searing flames.
“Ice Style: Ice Prison.” The female snow ninja called out weaving a few hand signs and placing her finger on the ground. From where her finger touched the icy ground giant pillars of ice erupted from the ground heading directly towards Sasuke who back flipped, once, twice and three times while at the same time flashing through his own set of hand signs.
“Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu.” Sasuke intoned again blowing a massive fireball into the oncoming pillars of ice.
At the sight of the searing flames Koyuki froze in terror as painful memories of a raging inferno played out before her eyes like an old horror film. Soon the images were too much for her to handle and she toppled over onto her side. Her eyes unseeing as her mind made her witness the fiery pain of her past.
“Yukie” Sakura called out in distress as she spun to face the toppling actress/princess.
“Shit!” Naruto growled as he took a quick look behind him at Sakura who was trying to rouse the prone Yukie. He quickly jumped back dodging the massive punch of the ice ninja he was facing. The punch shattered the icy ground Naruto had just been standing on. Naruto back flipped three times as the large ice ninja kept on swinging at him. His last back flip caught the snow ninja on the chin snapping his head back and forcing him to back away from the now grinning blonde ninja.
“Why you little brat, what’s so funny?” The brutish ice ninja growled.
“Oh nothing really just buying myself enough time to level the playing field. That armor of yours is quite something blocks long distance weapons, Jutsus, and other chakra based abilities but it doesn’t block Taijutsu attacks.” Naruto said grinning as he drew his two Crescent daggers.
Charging at the large snow ninja he slashed with an overhand swipe his right blade, aimed at the neck of the big ninja. The large ninja brought his steel encased forearm up to block the slash. The ringing of steel on steel echoed throughout the iceberg. The blow slightly dulled Naruto’s hand as he punched out with his left straight at the ice ninja’s head. The ice ninja ducked under the punch and head butted Naruto on the chin knocking him back.
Naruto staggered back from the ice ninja who was stomping towards him ready to land another heavy blow to the blonde ninja. Shaking his head Naruto jumped at the ice ninja catching him off guard. Naruto brought his fist down towards the ninja’s head. The blade of his dagger directly aimed at the ice ninja’s left eye.
The ninja at the last moment again brought his steel encased left arm up to block the dagger. As the blade struck the steel arm guard it shattered in Naruto’s hand. The ice ninja steeped back so a jagged piece of steel wouldn’t pierce his lightly armored foot. Taking this opportunity Naruto stabbed his left blade into the thigh of his opponent.
The ice ninja grunted in pain as the curved blade pierced into his leg just missing the major artery in his leg. “You little prick.” He growled using his replacement left arm’s rocket like function to punch Naruto in the stomach and send him rolling backwards, crashing into the iceberg’s mountainside. Yanking the blade out of his leg the large ninja snapped the blade from the hilt and threw it aside.
“Naruto, Sasuke fall back, protect Yukie.” Kakashi said braking away from his own fight. “Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu.” Kakashi called out. The large water dragon plunged down upon the brutish ice ninja as he started to walk towards the recovering Naruto.
“You aren’t getting away from us Kakashi Hatake, Not Again.” The ice ninja that had been fighting Kakashi called out as he flashed through his own hand signs. “Ice Style: Dragon versus Tiger.” A large dragon erupted from the mountain side. It soon took on a feline-like appearance as it headed towards the distracted Kakashi.
“Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu.” Kakashi called out again as a water dragon erupted from the sea behind him and rushed head long into the oncoming ice dragon. The water dragon froze and shattered as the ice dragon continued to barrel down on Kakashi’s position. Kakashi quickly dodged out of the way and ran towards the rest of his team and their charge.
With Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke distracted by their direct opponents the large ninja was zooming towards the traumatized Yukie. Aiming his left hand towards the almost comatose princess he fired a handful of white ropes at her. The white ropes wrapped around the actress knocking her onto her side. Sakura quickly cut the ropes and jumped in between Yukie and the on rushing ice ninja.
“Hey Ugly we aren’t finished yet.” Naruto yelled as he pounced onto the large ice ninja knocking him onto his back. Quickly getting back to his feet Naruto stomped on the prone ninja’s stomach, twisting the heel of his foot deeper into the prone ninja’s stomach.
The prone ice ninja tried to sweep Naruto’s legs from under him but Naruto just back stepped out of the way. The ice ninja took the advantage to roll onto his feet and charge at Naruto. The ice ninja raised his right fist ready to punch out at Naruto.
Naruto quickly took another step back planting his feet and setting himself to catch the ice ninja’s fist.
The ice ninja punched with his right hand, which Naruto easily caught he then caught the steel-like left hand as the ice ninja tried to punch him again.
Locked in a tussle of strength the large ice ninja was surprised he couldn’t toss aside the smaller and sleeker blonde ninja.
With a little lopsided grin Naruto head butted the ice ninja causing him to stagger back away from him. Naruto’s grin only grew wider as he stalked the large ice ninja.
“Yukie get back to the ship.” Sakura yelled trying to break through the actress’s panic attack.
“Princess you must flee, your life is in danger.” Sandayu called rushing to Yukie’s side.
“I don’t… I don’t care if I die… I won’t go back to the Land of Snow.” Yukie cried out holding her head as images of her past flashed through her mind.
“Fucking Hell we don’t have time for this.” Naruto growled as he launched himself at the still staggering ice ninja. Naruto took him down and began pounding down on his face with his right fist. Naruto split the ice ninja’s lip, broke his nose, busted a blood vessel near the ninja’s right eye, gave him a black eye on the ninja’s left eye and finally broke the ninja’s jaw with his last blow. Just as he was about to finish the job and go for the beaten ninja’s throat a pillar of ice burst out of the ground right next to him and the prone ice ninja.
“Fuck” Naruto growled as he leapt clear of the erupting ice pillars.
“Kurama get Yukie back to the ship.” Naruto ordered as he continued to dodge and weave, avoiding the ice pillars and ducking just in time as Sasuke’s Fireball flew over his head towards the jutsu caster.
“Alright I’m on it.” Kurama replied in Naruto’s head. The fox emerged from the ice besides Yukie as Naruto opened the seal that contained most of Kurama’s extra power.
As the extra power flowed into the both of them Naruto’s eyes became red with fox like slits. Beside Yukie Kurama grew from his little fox form into the size of a giant wolf at about five feet tall from foot to shoulder.
Grabbing Yukie by the collar of her robe he hoisted her up and tossed her onto his back and raced towards the ship and the gathered crew.
“Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura protect Yukie get back to the ship.” Kakashi ordered as he began heading back to the ship.
The large ice ninja staggered back to his feet and again took aim at Yukie with his cannon like left hand. As the hand shot towards Yukie on Kurama’s back Sakura stepped in front of the hand taking the full weight of the strike on her chest. The hand grabbed her and threw her up into the air before smashing her down into the ground then again smashing her head into the cold icy hard ground before tossing her unconscious body away.
‘Taking one for the team maybe she is learning.’ Naruto thought as he raced towards Sakura’s prone form, picking her up as he raced for the ship quickly settling in besides Kurama as they both carried their unconscious passengers.
“We aren’t done here yet Kakashi, you and your brats won’t leave here alive.” The long haired male ice ninja yelled as he chased after Kakashi. “Ice Style: White Whale Jutsu.” A giant white Narwhal whale erupted from the ocean breaking away some of the iceberg.
“A new move, that was impressive let me give it a try.” Kakashi said stopping between the three ice ninja’s and the rest of his team. “Ice Style: White Whale Jutsu.” Kakashi called going through the hand signs.
“You’ll never beat me by just copying my moves Kakashi.” The ice ninja said as he also repeated the hand signs.
“Who said anything about beating you?” Kakashi quipped as the two white whales crashed into each other and then into the mountainside.
With the resulting avalanche Kakashi raced for the ship as the three ice ninjas fled around the side of the mountain to escape the massive avalanche.
Kakashi just made it back to the ship as the iceberg began to sink under the rolling waves of the ocean.

“Kakashi sensei what is the Hex Crystal that ice ninja was asking about?” Sakura asked as she held an icepack to her throbbing head.
“It’s one of the few last remaining treasures of the Kazahana Clan, It was also rumored to be the key for a hidden treasure.” Kakashi replied his hands in his pockets as he stared out at the rolling ocean.
“Do you think it’s true?” Sakura asked as she grimaced in pain.
“Those ice ninja seem to think so.” Sasuke replied.
“So does their master, I’ve seen them before, in the Land of Waves.” Naruto added as he sipped from his warm tea, his other hand gently rubbing Kurama’s warm fur.
“Their master is Doto Kazahana the despot leader of the Land of Snow. He murdered his brother the former head of the Kazahana Clan and Koyuki’s father during his coup d'état.” Kakashi said as he remembered his flight from the burning Kazahana castle 10 years earlier.
“You were there weren’t you Kakashi, during the coup?” Naruto said.
“Yes, at the time we had a strong alliance with the Land of Snow and the Third had heard rumors of a possible coup, so my team was sent to protect Lord Sosetsu and his daughter Koyuki. However by the time we had got there the coup was already underway and Doto had killed Sosetsu and his three goons were looking for Koyuki who had fled at her father’s dying words.” Kakashi said as he relived the escape from the Land of Snow and his last fight with the three snow ninja.
“So what now, the usual protocol would be to go back to the village for reinforcements but we’re weeks out from the village and even if we sent a summons back it would still take two weeks to get here.” Naruto spoke all of their thoughts aloud.
“Then we continue with the mission.” Sasuke said nonchalantly.
“What mission, our mission is to protect Yukie; right now we’re moving through enemy territory with no idea of enemy numbers or what they have planned for us or for Yukie.” Naruto replied. “We can’t just keep going straight ahead without taking our head out of water and getting our bearings.” Naruto continued over Sasuke’s huff.
“Naruto’s right, we can’t get reinforcements and we can’t just proceed without getting our bearings.” Kakashi said as he looked at Sandayu and the director. “Do you really want to complete your filming in the Land of Snow?”
“I should have died that day.” Everybody turned to face Yukie who was standing in the doorway leaning against the door frame.
“You shouldn’t say such things princess.” Sandayu said as he got up and walked towards the actress. Falling to his knees and bowing before his princess he begged her, “Princess lead your people against Doto, retake your birthright and rule your people once again in a land of peace.”
“No way, are you kidding me?” Yukie shouted at the prone man. “There is no way you can get rid of Doto, you’ll just die, there is no point, just give up already. I’m never going back to the Land of Snow.” Yukie cried out in frustration and fear.
“Really no way to get rid of Doto, Lady are you fucking stupid… there are four shinobi standing before you and two of us are cold blooded killers. We are sworn to protect you even if that means assassinating the person trying to take you.” Naruto drawled in a monotone as if talking to a mentally damaged person.
“What?” Koyuki asked confused as if the blonde had just slapped her.
“I said if you wanted to you could ask us to kill Doto for you, it’s only fair since he used ninja to do his dirty work for him.” Naruto replied with a blood chilling grin and an evil glint in his odd colored eyes.
“As long as there is hope one may dream and with those dreams the future comes. I like it, it is the perfect theme for our new Princess Gale movie.” The director said crossing his arms and looking smug.
“But mister Makino, you still wanna make the movie, even with everything that’s happened do you?” the assistant director asked his boss in shock.
“Like I said before this movie is evolving and we will be there to see it happen and capture every minute of It.” the director said with a hearty laugh.
“I’m glad you got that settled because there is only one course of action to take, we must go forward. With Doto on our trail we cannot run we must fight it is our only option.” Kakashi said as he looked at his team.
“Finally I’ve been looking forward to a good bloodbath.” Naruto grinned smashing his fist into his palm.

Finally landing in the Land of Snow the director along with Kakashi picked up a handful of trucks that had already been pre-purchased so that they could transport the filming gear across the Land of Snow.
Leaving the harbor behind them the convoy headed towards the mountain range that split most of the Land of Snow from its Eastern and Western parts.
The landscape they travelled trough was beautiful as snow covered the evergreens of the forest they were passing through. The convoy stopped before the mouth of a massive tunnel that passed under the mountains.
“This used to be the tunnel for a railway that used to connect the Eastern and Western parts of the Land of Snow.” Sandayu told the group as they prepared for the next leg of the journey.
Getting back on to the truck with the rest of his team Naruto smiled as he smelt Koyuki get out of her truck and hide behind a large boulder at the mouth of the tunnel.
‘Oh this is going to be fun.’ Naruto thought as their convoy got underway.
It was only on the far side of the tunnel that the alarm was raised to Koyuki’s disappearance.
‘Hmm didn’t take as long as I thought.’ Naruto thought as he jumped out of the truck, biting his thumb on his left and right hands. “Summoning Jutsu,” He called out slamming both his hands on the snow covered ground, in a burst of smoke stood a large snow white wolf, Shiver and Frost.
“Hey Shiroi long time no see.” Naruto greeted the white wolf who sniffed at Naruto before head butting him in the chest in greeting.
“Why’d you call us Naruto?” Frost asked as she stretched out.
“I need your help to track down a run away.” Naruto smirked as he started walking back the way the convoy had just come.
“You already know where your little run away is, don’t you?” Shiver asked as Kurama chuckled on Naruto’s shoulder.
“Yes but got to make it look convincing for the others.” Naruto chuckled again as he walked with his three summons through the tunnel.
“So what’s going on Naruto?” Frost asked as she walked on Naruto’s right, while Shiver walked on his left and Shiroi walked ahead sniffing and listening out for danger.
“We’re escorting/Guarding/Babysitting the actress Yukie Fujikaze who is in fact Princess Koyuki Kazahana and she wants to run away from this place, even though this country is her birthright.” Naruto said earnestly and truthfully to his trusted summons.
“So this mission is hitting a little close to home then?” Shiver replied as she bumped into Naruto’s side with her head.
“Yeah you could say that.” Naruto replied absent mindedly rubbing her head in between her ears.

Naruto looked down upon the unconscious form of Koyuki beneath the snow laden evergreens. ‘She’s kinda hot when she’s out cold.’ Naruto thought with a shake of his head.
Kurama chuckled in his head as he showed the blonde an image of a trussed up and naked Koyuki on his bed back in the Hidden Leaf. Naruto snickered as he shook his head clear of the nine-tails twistedly enticing image.
Koyuki began to come around as Naruto and his summons stepped closer to her prone form.
“I’ll always find you.” Naruto said as he looked down at the prone princess. “Why do you keep running away from your fate?” Naruto asked as she sat up.
“Shut up what would you know. You can take me back but I’m only going to act for the camera, you got it?” Koyuki said vehemently.
“Yeah I get it but you should know, I would do anything to get my parents, my family, my clan back, to get my birthright back. I would sacrifice everybody and everything to just get a chance to see them just once, to talk to them just once.” Naruto growled as he spun away from the princess as she got on to her knees and came face to face with the three growling summons.
“He has suffered more than you could ever imagine. SO DO NOT PRETEND TO THINK YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON TO LOSE SOMETHING!” Shiver said snapping her jaws at the kneeling princess.
   “Shiver, Frost, Shiroi let’s go.” Naruto called behind him before turning around at Koyuki’s gasp of pain. With a sigh he walked back down the slight slope to stand in front of the princess. “Show me.” He ordered as he kneeled beside her feet and gently began examining her feet to discover that she had sprained her right ankle during her run-away attempt.
“Just a sprained ankle nothing that can’t be fixed later, come on everybody is waiting.” Naruto said picking her up and carrying her on his back. He slowly walked back to the tunnel entrance easily carrying the princess on his back.

Walking through the tunnel Naruto tried hard to ignore the actress’s soft breasts pressing into his back.
“Naruto can I ask you something… something personal?” Koyuki asked pressing in closer to Naruto’s warm body.
“Sure go ahead. What is it?” Naruto sighed as he felt Koyuki press herself closer to his body.
“Back there your animal friends seem quite protective of you. One even spoke like you had suffered some great tragedy.” Koyuki said rather bluntly.
With a sigh Naruto was about to answer when the ground began to shake and rumble. “What is that?” Naruto asked aloud as he looked behind him at a bright light and an ear shattering roar. Looking down at his feet he saw metal rails running before and behind him.
“Sounds like a train.” Koyuki said.
“We better get going then.” Naruto replied as he quickly sprinted through the tunnel his three summons running in front of him. Looking over his shoulder he could see the light getting closer and the rumbling of the train getting to be almost deafening.
“Pick up the pace ladies we don’t want to get caught by that thing.” Naruto said kicking into a full on sprint.
“It’s gaining on us, we haven’t got a chance.” Koyuki freaked out tightening her grip around his neck in fright.
“Will you shut up already?” Naruto snapped as he sprinted for the exit somewhere ahead.
“It’s over this is completely pointless we’re never going to make it.” Koyuki cried out in fear.
“Will you fucking shut up already; if you’re so willing to give up and die I’ll drop you right fucking now. I have a goal to complete and I won’t die before I make it a reality.” Naruto growled as he pumped more and more chakra into his legs to give him some extra speed.
“Naruto the exit it’s coming up on our left, 800 meters and closing.” Shiroi called out as he howled and lead the way to the exit.
Naruto following closely behind his summons sprinted through the tunnel’s exit and threw himself on to the snow just off to the side of the train tracks. “Ha-ha that was fucking close.” Naruto laughed as adrenaline pumped throughout his body heightening his already animalistic senses.
As he laughed the train began to slow down and eventually come to a stop.
“It’s been such a long time Koyuki.” A voice called out over a loudspeaker.
“It’s Doto.” Koyuki whispered in fear besides Naruto.
Standing up Naruto stepped in front of Koyuki putting himself between his charge and her enemies.
“What are you doing Naruto?” Koyuki hissed as the blonde’s form hid the train from her view.
“My job, which is to protect you, remember?” Naruto was cut off as a dozen logs came barreling down the snowy slope to smash into the side of the train. “Hear me Doto…”
“Ah Fucking Hell he’s gonna get himself and all those men killed.” Naruto swore as Sandayu stood before a rag-tag group of freedom fighters.
Just as he predicted the men charged straight to their deaths as the train turned into a deadly trap. With Doto and the snow ninja distracted with the massacre Naruto quickly bit his right thumb and weaved through a series of hand signs.
“Summoning Jutsu.” And with his left hand a glow in chakra he placed his hand on the seal on his stomach and undid most of the seal leaving it closed enough that he wouldn’t die. “Release.” He called as he unlocked the eight trigrams seal.
Emerging from a large burst of smoke was Kurama and Kuzunoha in all their nine tailed glory. “My aces in the hole so to speak.” Naruto grinned to Koyuki behind him.
Her look of horror forced him to turn and watch the massacre of Sandayu’s group of freedom fighters. Every single one of them fell to the barrages of kunai fire from the moving fortress that was Doto’s train.
The sole fighter standing was Sandayu who swayed back and forth in defiance of Doto’s overwhelming military power. The train’s final volley of kunai was intercepted by a large shuriken that blocked every single kunai.
“Well that was cool.” Naruto admitted as he watched Sasuke throw a tagged kunai at the side of the train.
Using the resulting explosion Naruto kicked into gear. “Kurama and Kuzunoha, go grab that train and smash it to pieces.” Naruto said as he turned to the three other summons. “You guys act as a distraction go and kill some of those snow ninja and drag them off kicking and screaming away from Kurama and Kuzunoha ok.”
“I was wondering when you were going to allow us to hunt.” Shiroi said as she and the two other smaller summons ran towards the distracted train.
It wasn’t long before the first scream echoed through the mountain pass. It was followed closely by two more screams. With a mountain shaking roar Kurama and Kuzunoha jumped upon the train smashing the closest train car with a single swipe of their claws.
With frantic screams the train began to pull away from the ambush. High on the mountain side Naruto spied Sakura dropping a small bomb. With a satisfied look he watched the resulting avalanche bury the last four or five cars under a ton of snow.
The front of the train was just passing over to the other side of the nearby bridge when its supports were destroyed in a massive explosion. Frantically some tried to disconnect the front four cars of the train from the rest so they wouldn’t topple down the side of the mountain.
Eventually and probably just in the nick of time the engineer was able to separate the train from the avalanche swamped cars that tumbled down the side of the mountain.
With a sigh of regret but still satisfied Naruto turned to face Koyuki as she got to her feet. All five of his summons padded up the snow covered incline to stand behind him. “You’re all free to go. Did you girls have fun?” Naruto chuckled as he looked over his shoulder at a human groan. Impaled on one of Kurama’s claws was a snow ninja barely alive. “I’ll take that as a yes.” Naruto chuckled as Kuzunoha hit Kurama on the head with one of her tails.
“Put him out of his misery, brother.”
“Alright, alright.” Kurama sighed crushing the impaled ninja’s heart. With a burst of smoke Kuzunoha and Kurama were gone, Kuzunoha back to Kitsune Valley and Kurama back into Naruto who staggered slightly as Kurama returned to his body and mind.
“Let’s not do that again for a while.” Naruto panted trying to regain his breath as he retightened the seal was more.
“You sure you don’t need us anymore Naruto?” Frost asked. Like her two companions here muzzle was streaked with blood.
“No you’re dismissed you can go home.” Naruto replied as he scratched their heads before dismissing them one by one.
As he dismissed Frost an airship rose above them in the frame of the rear door was the bulky snow ninja that Naruto had fought on the iceberg.
“Get behind me and stay down.” Naruto said dragging Koyuki down behind him at the same time as he created a shadow clone.
The large ninja on the airship aimed his left hand at Naruto and fired his grappling hook like hand at Naruto who easily blocked the hand, knocking it to the snow at his feet. Stepping on the hand he wrapped his foot around the chakra enhanced steel cables that connected the artificial hand to the snow ninja on the airship.
With a smirk up at the ninja on the airship Naruto lifted his leg and spun around pulling the unsuspecting ninja out of the airship and sending him crashing down into the snow. Shaking his foot free of the chakra cables Naruto stalked the fallen snow ninja. Sliding a kunai from his right leg holster he stopped in front of the stunned snow ninja as he struggled to get up with only one working arm.
Naruto grabbed the snow ninja’s head and brought the kunai to his throat. Before he could slash the snow ninja’s throat the sound of rushing wind under a pair of wings drew his attention. Naruto looked to the right where the female snow ninja swooped past him heading directly for Koyuki.
With a single glance at the still stunned and groggy snow ninja he was holding by the head he slashed his throat with a backhand slash. He dropped the snow ninja’s head into the snow as the snow ninja’s life gurgled away in a flood of blood.
Quickly Naruto raced back towards Koyuki and the fast approaching flying snow kunoichi. Drawing a handful of shuriken from the pouch on the back of his waist Naruto drew back and threw in a single motion. Two of the shuriken hit the tips of the wings as the snow ninja rolled in midair to avoid the majority of shuriken.
With a quick adjustment the flying snow ninja swooped and yanked Koyuki off of her feet. With a quick banking turn to the right the flying snow ninja made a beeline straight for the airship where the third member of the trio was looking at Naruto with anger and hate.
Naruto stopped dead in his tracks as the flying ninja landed on the airship. With the kunai in his hand dripping blood onto the pure white snow he watched as the airship rose higher into the sky.
With the airship out of sight Naruto turned to the shifting snow behind him with a quirky grin on his face as Koyuki’s head popped out of the snow.
“Cold, so cold, why’d you have to bury me in the snow?” Koyuki gasped as she wrapped her arms around herself trying to warm up a bit.

“So the Koyuki that Fubuki took was just a shadow clone?” Sakura asked as Naruto wrapped his own cloak around the shivering Koyuki as she kneeled beside the mortally wounded Sandayu.
“Yep and once it dispels we’ll know what Doto wants with Koyuki.” Naruto panted in reply, a little tired from the chakra drain from temporarily releasing most of Kurama’s chakra.
“We won’t have to worry about where Doto is currently heading.” Kakashi said as he stood above the three Genin and princess holding a silent vigil over Sandayu’s passing.
“He thinks he’s won. He’ll go back home to where he feels safe.” Naruto said as Koyuki leaned against him her cold shivering subsiding as the blonde’s cold resistant cloak and his body heat helped to warm her up.
“His fortress isn’t too far from here.” Kakashi mused as he began thinking through their next moves and the possible moves of Doto. He looked at Naruto in alarm as the blonde hissed in anger. “What?”
“He just dispelled two of my clones that snuck onto his airship using some device that disrupts chakra.” Naruto hissed in pain as he received the chakra backlash from the device Doto used to dispel his clones.
“Does he suspect that the Koyuki he has is a fake?” Kakashi asked worriedly.
“I don’t think so the clones weren’t aware she was a fake until they would have come into contact with the clone. But he does know that the necklace she was wearing is a fake. They think you changed it out for the real one.” Naruto replied as quickly recovered from the painful chakra backlash.
“Do you know what he wants the Hex Crystal for?” Kakashi asked.
“From what the clones overheard, Doto thinks it’s the key to the Kazahana clan fortune that’s hidden in the Rainbow Glaciers.” Naruto replied before looking at Koyuki as she gasped and bolted upright her hand going to the Hex Crystal around her neck.
“Princess what’s the matter?” Sakura asked as she glared at the blonde like it was his fault that Koyuki was acting this way.
“I remember my father gave me the Hex Crystal the night he died. He said that it was part of his legacy, his greatest treasure and that one day I would use it to unlock that treasure.” Koyuki whispered as she remembered her father giving her the necklace, wrapping it around her neck before a mirror.
“So what’s the plan then Kakashi sensei?” Sakura asked as Koyuki cried as her memories played out before her eyes.
“You, Sasuke and I will infiltrate Doto’s fortress as if we are trying to rescue Koyuki. Naruto you will escort Koyuki and the rest of the filming crew to the Rainbow Glaciers, find that treasure and leave as quickly as possible.” Kakashi laid out his plan.

Naruto quickened his pace as he returned from his scouting mission around the Rainbow Glaciers; he wanted this done before the break of dawn. Shaking his head to clear it of the memories of his recently dispelled clone impersonating Princess Koyuki he slide down the snow covered hill to the waiting people below.
“Is something the matter Naruto?” Koyuki asked as Naruto looked around the exposed road.
“Doto’s onto us, my clone tried to assassinate him during Kakashi’s assault on the fortress.” Naruto replied with a grin as he remembered the spurt of blood that had splattered across the clone’s stomach as its knife pierced Doto’s side.
“Did you find the lock?” Koyuki asked looking around a little afraid of being ambushed by Doto and his traitorous ninja.
“Yeah it’s in plain sight. It’s a small pillar in the center of the glacier.” Naruto replied as he helped Koyuki up on to her feet.
Naruto led Koyuki up the slope towards the large glaciers. The pillar he had been talking about was quite visible to the princess as she crested the plateau of the glacier.
“Wow this place is beautiful.” Koyuki murmured as she looked around in awe at the beautiful and majestic sight of the glacier.
“Is this the first time you’ve been here?” Naruto asked a little surprised.
“Uh huh.” Koyuki nodded as she walked beside her blonde guardian towards the small pillar in the center of the glacier.
Brushing the light dusting of snow off of the pedestal with an exact cut-out the shape of the Hex Crystal around Koyuki’s neck she looked at Naruto with questioning eyes. With a gentle nod from the blonde she took off the necklace holding the crystal. With an audible gulp to steady her nerves she placed the crystal in the cut-out and pushed it down.
With an almost inaudible click the crystal slide into place. All around the glacial pillars erupted columns of boiling steam. The blast of hot air smacked them flush in the face removing all traces of the freezing cold from their bodies.
As the air shimmered with the raising heat, they heard someone yelling angrily behind them. Turning they saw a fuming Doto, he was breathing heavily as his face twisted in anger.
“A heat generator? That is the great treasure of the Kazahana Clan.” Doto screamed in fury, shaking his head in distress.
“One day the spring will come.” Koyuki whispered as tears silently slid down her face as she finally realized what her father had been telling her a decade ago.
“So you survived my clone’s assassination attempt I see.” Naruto muttered angrily as he noticed the advanced chakra armor that Doto was wearing. ‘Going to need a bigger blade, maybe I’ll give that jutsu a try.’ Naruto thought as he stepped between Koyuki and Doto.
“Doto you have failed, Koyuki has returned and claimed the Kazahana treasure and her rightful place as ruler of the Land of Snow. So give up.” Naruto shouted to the still fuming tyrant.
“Never, I killed her father to rule this land and I’ll kill her too. And if you don’t get out of my way I’ll destroy you too” Doto shouted back throwing off his cloak.
“I was hoping you’d say that.” Naruto chuckled as he bit his thumb and weaved through a series of hand signs. “Summoning Jutsu...”
Just as his bloody hand was about to hit the now snowy ground a blast of hot air swept the snow away revealing the lush green grass beneath. Behind him just beyond the key pillar the ice of the glacier instantly melted and shattered as flowing water burst from the frozen water fall to smash down onto the ice covered lake.
With Naruto momentarily distracted by the change in scenery Doto attacked weaving his own hand signs. “Ice Style: Black Dragon Blizzard.”
From Doto’s straight arms erupted a dragon of black ice. The dragon roared and charged straight at the distracted Naruto.
Hearing the roaring dragon, Naruto turned his attention back to Doto. Watching the fast approaching dragon closely he flashed back through the hand signs he needed. Dodging back from the ice dragon as it smashed into the grass upon which he stood.
Handspringing backwards away from the ice dragon he unleashed his built up chakra. “Summoning Jutsu.”
Where his hand had hit the ground a white wolf and a snow leopard burst from a cloud of smoke. “Frost, Shiroi protect Koyuki at all costs don’t let anyone get close to her.” Naruto ordered as he bolted to the right away from Koyuki. “Over here you ugly fuck, I’m going to enjoy tearing you to shreds.” Naruto shouted a little grin crossing his face as he released a small amount of Kurama’s chakra.
Doto sneered as the blonde tried to distract him from trying to kill Koyuki. Ignoring the loud mouth blonde he weaved through a number of hand signs and thrust his arms towards Koyuki and the two summons protecting her. “Ice Style: Black Dragon Blizzard.”
As black ice enveloped his hands ready to strike out at Koyuki, a teenaged hand clammed down upon his wrist.
“You shouldn’t have ignored me, it was a mistake to. Now you’ll die because of it.” Naruto grinned as he stabbed Angurvadal into Doto’s ribs. The blade easily slid through the chakra armor into the flesh of Doto’s ribs.
Doto coughed and with all his remaining strength he backhanded Naruto across the face sending him flying backwards.
“Ouch that actually stung. That chakra armor isn’t something to take lightly.” Naruto muttered as he rubbed the red mark on his cheek. Getting back up to his feet he looked at Doto with a smirk on his face as he brought the blade of his sword up in front of his face, watching as Doto’s blood slipped down the blade.
With Doto’s attention fully on him Naruto stalked closer to Doto waiting for the older man to attack. “You better hurry up and kill me otherwise you’re going to die from blood lost.” Naruto chortled as he created a multitude of shadow clones that formed a semi-circle in front of Doto.
  “Why you pint sized little maggot I’ll make you pay for this. I’ll finish this in one move.” Doto snarled as he weaved through four hand signs. “Ice Style: Twin Black Dragons.”
Out of Doto’s two outstretched hands erupted the two dragons of black icy air. Swiping his arms across his body the two dragons followed Doto’s direction and struck out at the multitude of shadow clones.
The two dragons wiped out almost half of the clones in the initial attack before both dragons smashed together forming an icy twister that swept away all the clones caught in its destructive path.
“It’s over, you never had a chance you stupid pipsqueak.” Doto laughed as nothing remained before him but a light dusting of snow and ice.
“Oh will you shut up. Do you seriously like the sound of your own voice or something?” Naruto shouted angrily behind him.
“Wait you mean it was only a shadow clone that stabbed me?” Doto asked in a quivering voice as he realized he’d used most of his strength in that one attack.
“You got it, sheesh you’re slow.” Naruto laughed as he held his right hand up before his face and began channeling chakra into his palm. “You are so lucky, you’re the very first person I’ve tried this Jutsu on. I’ve only ever used it on inanimate objects to this point and I’m curious to see if my father’s jutsu is as dangerous as they say it is.” Naruto chuckled as a spinning ball of chakra burst onto his palm.
Rocking back onto his heel Naruto sprinted straight at Doto who looked left and right for an escape route. As the dawn began to rise behind him the swirling ball of chakra in his hand began to swirl with the colors of the rainbow.
  Smiling with the sweet taste of victory Naruto launched himself into the air towards Doto. “Rasengan.” Naruto shouted as he slammed the swirling ball of pure chakra power into the gem in the center of Doto’s chest.
The gem shattered under the unrelenting barrage of chakra power that Naruto was forcing against it. As the gem shattered and the armor was torn to shreds around it Doto’s skin and body soon followed suite. Doto screamed in agony as his body began to tear and rip apart like the armor he wore.
“Take this.” Naruto screamed pumping more chakra into the Rasengan.
With a final agonized scream Doto was completely torn apart his arms and feet being ripped away from his torso and tossed in all four directions of the compass, his head being completely twisted around 180 degrees as the Rasengan bore a hole through his chest.
“Oh fucking wow.” Naruto whispered in delighted shock as he looked down upon the bloody and torn apart body of Doto.
