Naruto's red eyes narrowed towards the sword wielding demon, a soft snarl escaped his lips, as they curled, baring his fangs towards the demons back. His red eyes shot towards the injured wolf on the ground, a dark smirk replaced the snarl. He stepped forward, his chakra holding the demon still. Within seconds he stood over the large wolf, his eyes narrowing with an evil glint in his eye as he watched the wolf struggle to move away.

“Bad boy,” Naruto hissed out softly. Base watched in horror as one of the red chakra 'ropes' wrapped around his neck, pinning him to the ground. The red chakra surrounding the demonic blonde jolted and sparked as it grew.

“Both have harmed my cub... Both shall suffer dearly.” Base watched with wide eyes as the chakra ripped the larger demon into five pieces. Blood poured down from the sky, dyeing the sand deep crimson red. The five pieces fell to the ground as the chakra withdrew back into the demon blonde. Base's eyes narrowed towards Naruto.

No not Naruto, a demon in control of the blonde's actions. Base's lips curled up, baring his teeth to the demon. He would fight the demon and free its hold over Naruto's body.

“Do not growl at me!” the chakra around his neck tightened, cutting off his air flow completely. Base's wolf form changed into his human form hoping the hold on his neck would loosen long enough for him to get free, or at least to breathe. As his wolf neck shrunk to a human like neck, the hold on his neck tightened more no longer cutting off the air but still holding the god captive.

“You are dead wolf!”

“Naruto.... W-why?”

“You brought pain to my child!” Base's eyes widened staring at the demon.

“N-Naruto, p-please stop.”

“Naruto? There is no Naruto here worthless mongrel!” Base choked, feeling the red chakra tighten more around his neck. His sight began to blur and darken. He could feel his lungs painfully scream for air. The demon in front of him wished to kill him, but to kill a god took time and torture. The god would only leave his earthly form and go towards the heavens where they belong, but base refused to leave Yuudai, not after he'd finally gotten the teen to open up to him, to accept and love him.

“Mom stop!!” Base faintly heard the voice of the teen he so desperately wanted to protect, wanted to love… everything went black as the lack of air finally shut Base's body down completely.

Yellow-gold eyes opened slowly feeling small hands softly run over his head. He vaguely realized he was in wolf form. A soft warning growl slipped past his lips feeling the smaller hands inching dangerously close to his broken limb. Base's eyes shot towards the small body beside him, his eyes widening seeing Daichi's smaller frame inch back, taking heed of the warning.

“Daichi... What...?”

“Base! You’re ok!”

“Of course... I'm a god. I'll live... what happened?”

“You've been out for two weeks...”

“T-Two weeks?! W-what!?”

“Me and Eiji brought you back to Konoha.”

“Where is Yuudai!? Where is your mother?”

“Calm down Base! Everything is ok, just calm down!” Base shook, feeling his large wolfish form flop back down onto the padded bed below. His eyes widened looking around the unfamiliar room.

“This isn't home.”

“It’s Yuudai's home... Yuudai's bed…”

“Daichi... tell me everything.” Daichi sat at the end of the bed, a small weak smile placed on his lips. His body began to relax noticing the wolf making no move to leave.

“I don't know exactly what happened... but when we got there mom and Yuudai were fighting, really fighting. I’ve never seen mom use red chakra before. They were almost killing each other... Luckily Sasuke-papa and Gaara-papa stepped in... Mom and Yuudai stopped fighting and mom ran after them... Yuudai was real injured but he refused to leave unless Eiji carried you back to Konoha.” Daichi's body tensed a little as his head lowered.

“Where is Yuudai?”

“He's missing... We brought you to Konoha and he was just gone... Mom and both our dads came back... Sasuke-papa and Gaara-papa went out to find Yuudai... It’s been two weeks...”

Base's eyes began to darken. He pulled himself upright into a seated position, his body changing into his human form. Daichi's eyes went wide, his face turning a deep crimson red seeing the man in front of him fully nude, covered by nothing.

“Daichi, get me some clothes.”

“But your arm is still broken!”

“I'll get Eiji to fix it. Get me clothes, NOW!” Daichi stood slowly then scurried out of the room to find clothes for the naked man. Base looked outside the window beside the bed, his eyes narrowing at the setting sun in the distance.

“Yuudai you idiot...”

“I can't even find his scent Base... I doubt you will be able to find him if I have failed already so badly.”

“I know him better then you Eiji...” Base shot a dark glare towards the wolf god in the doorway, a soft sigh escaping his lips, his eyes closing.

“Heal me... Let me find him.”

“Why should I help you?”

“You’re not helping me... you’re helping Daichi get his brother back...”

“And you think the redhead is of any importance to me?”

“You are still here… watching and caring for him. Obviously he is.” The silence was all that answered Base. As Eiji stepped over placing his hands on the broken limb of the man on the bed, his hands began to glow a light blue colour. Before he pulled back, his yellow-gold eyes burned holes into his younger brother's eyes.

“Bring him back....” Base pulled himself off the bed and stepped towards the door taking the clothes from Daichi's arms before dressing himself.

“I swear, I'll bring him back,” Base mumbled before stepping towards the window sill. Pulling the window open, he jumped out landing on the ground silently on his bare feet, before darting off towards the exit of Konoha. Daichi watched as the god ran swiftly and silently through the streets. His zircon blue eyes scanned over the other god before his body relaxed.

“It’s ok Eiji.... Base and Yuudai were meant for each other... He will find Yuudai.”

“I know little one... It’s finding Yuudai that I fear will hurt Base.”
