Sai frowned as he headed toward the club. He and Hidan were planning to storm the club while Kakashi and his team, minus the dirty cops who the FBI had picked up a few hours ago, were going to storm the apartment. He knew this needed to be done so he, Itachi, Saskue, and the rest of their friends and family would be safe, but it was still difficult. Madara was his uncle and there was so little of their family left.
Hidan smacked Sai on his arm. “Get your head in the game asshole. He's not your uncle tonight. He's another bastard out to fuck up our world.”
Sai smiled softly as he turned his head to his partner; his rock. “You're right. Besides, my family is you. As long as I have that, I have everything I need.”
Hidan smirked, but turned back to the road. As they were pulling up to the club, Sai frowned. “He got warning somewhere. It's too quiet.”
As the rest of the strike team pulled up, Sai turned to address them. “I am of the belief that he's not in there, but don't let your guard down. The club hasn't been closed since the day it opened. This doesn't bode well. Hopefully the apartment strike team will have more luck.”
Sai wouldn't put it past Madara to have rigged a trap in the building. He'd brought K9 units in to do a quick sniff of the perimeter before moving into the building itself. The club was empty except for Temari, who was barely breathing. She had been stabbed, and the rest of the club was trashed. Sai called out for a medic. “Hidan,” he called his partner over. “Go with her, please?”
Hidan frowned, but nodded. He knew Sai was feeling responsible for Temari and would feel better with someone he trusted with his life on the road with her. He put a hand on his boyfriend's shoulder. “Let Hatake know about the shit that we found here.”
Sai nodded and pulled out his phone to call Kakashi. “He knew. You have any luck?”
Kakashi frowned as he glanced around the emptied out apartment. “None. The place is stripped bare. I would be surprised if they had all the prints wiped down.”
Sai shook his head. “Temari was stabbed. I'm hopeful she'll pull through. Hidan went to the hospital with her.” The hair on the back of his neck stood up and he looked around. “I have a bad feeling Kakashi. I think we need to pull back.”
Kakashi nodded as he got a similar feeling. “Agreed. Pull yours and I'll pull mine. We'll seal off the buildings.”
Sai hung up and called out to the men to pull back. As they were leaving, Sai heard the slightest clicking sound and called out to the rest of the team to get back. As he was running out the door, an explosion went up from the middle of the club. Sai landed hard on the pavement as the shock wave knocked him through the door.
The medical team was able to pull him back from the building before secondary explosions began. He could hear the fire teams approaching even as his ears rang and his vision swam. He saw a text from Kakashi say Madara's apartment also went up. No casualties among the officers, but they are still trying to ensure no other residents were hurt. They'd tried to empty the building before they entered, but there may have been some who hadn't answered when they'd done the sweep.
“Agent, I need to send you to the hospital.” The medic handed Sai his gear and indicated he should lie back on the stretcher. “You've got a hell of a concussion and I'm worried about your hearing.”
Sai growled. “I need to secure the location. I have work to do. I'm not injured enough for the hospital.”
“Uchiha, sit your ass down, lie back like the good paramedic asked, and don't make me put you on leave,” Jiraiya's voice cut through the noise at the scene. “As your boss, I'm fully capable of ensuring the scene is locked down.” He patted Sai's knee. “Besides, kid, your partner would be pretty pissed at me if I didn't make sure you were in tip top shape before your anniversary.”
Sai narrowed his eyes. “Who else knows?”
Jiraiya chuckled. “You're secret is safe kid. I'm just more observant than people give me credit for. How do you think I got this job?”
Sai smirked and muttered, “I thought it was on your knees.”
Jiraiya barked a laugh. “Get out of here. Heal. You're on leave for the next two weeks. Reconnect with your life.” He slapped Sai's thigh one more time before he nodded and stepped back. “I'll come find you at your place for your statement.”

Hidan sat beside Sai's bed and held his hand. He knew this was a moment his boyfriend needed him to be soft. His thumb gently caressed Sai's knuckles as he waited his for his boyfriend to wake up. The doctor's had given him something to help sleep as he was too worked up and wasn't resting like he needed to.
Itachi shifted in the chair next to Hidan. “Neither of them would let me be there since I'm not actual enforcement.” He huffed. “I know it wouldn't have made a difference, but it's my cousin and I feel responsible.”
Hidan shook his head. “He wouldn't want you to.” He leaned forward and ran a soft hand through Sai's hair. “He's honestly one of the most selfless people I've ever met.”
Sai's eyelids fluttered open. “'m not you great big bastard,” he muttered.
Itachi chuckled. “I'll let you two have some time together. I just needed to make sure you were alright.” He dropped his hand to Sai's shoulder. “Kakashi told me to invite you to supper with us this Saturday. Honestly, I think he just wants the buffer for Iruka. He's planning on explaining everything to him then.”
Hidan smirked as Itachi left the room before he turned his eyes back to Sai. He huffed quietly before leaning forward and kissing his boyfriend's forehead. “I'm sorry I wasn't there for you.”
Sai shook his head. “Don't be. Do you have an update on Temari?”
Hidan smiled and leaned back in his chair, keeping Sai's hand grasped tightly. “She'll be alright. She's got a decently long road to recovery ahead of her, but the doctors told me she will make a full recovery.” He frowned. “You scared the shit out of me, Asswipe. You fucking know your uncle and I came really goddamn close to losing you.”
Sai closed his eyes and swallowed against his guilt. “I'm sorry.” He opened his eyes and looked at the love of his life. “I know it's the job, but I'm usually more careful. I'm sorry. I love you.”
Hidan smiled and ran his hand through Sai's hair. “I love you too, dumb ass.”

Naruto pouted as Itachi crawled into bed. “Where have you been? It's like six in the morning.”
Itachi chuckled and dropped a chaste kiss to Naruto's lips. “I'll tell you all about it later, love. I need some rest.”
Naruto smiled as Itachi settled down and opened his arm to let Naruto settle in. Naruto draped an arm and a leg over Itachi's as he nuzzled his head against Itachi's chest. “I won't forget. I need to know how Sai is.”
Itachi yawned. “He's fine. Stubborn and fine. Now sleep, love.”
Naruto smiled and closed his eyes. “Night 'Tachi.”

Kakashi frowned as he sat Iruka down on the couch. He was going to be in the doghouse so much for this. He knew some of what had happened, but not all of it. The fact that his baby was in the middle of it all was the thing most likely to break this relationship.
“Alright, Hatake. Out with whatever it is you think you're getting kicked out over,” Iruka said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Kakashi smiled softly. “I never could keep anything from you, Iruka.” He turned so he was facing his husband. “I have to tell you about the last few months. The things I've been working on with Itachi have been terrifying and I can do nothing but apologize and ask your forgiveness.” When Iruka only raised an eyebrow, Kakashi sighed. “Itachi and I have been working with Sai to bring their uncle to justice. Sai did beat up Sasuke, but he did it to try to keep Sasuke and Itachi away from Madara. He's FBI.”
Iruka shook his head. “Kakashi, why you think you have the ability to hide anything from me, I'll never know.” He huffed, but reached out for his husband's hand. “I know you were trying your hardest to keep me from being involved, but you almost always forget I have a sixth sense about this stuff after years of living with you.” Kakashi's mouth was hanging open as he stared at his husband. “Also, maybe you don't remember me talking about my eccentric 'uncle' Jiraiya.”
Kakashi groaned. “I did forget that you were related to Jiraiya. I'd never met him – only heard of him from you.” He sighed. “So I'm assuming he filled you in?”
Iruka nodded. “I won't say I'm not upset. I am.” He squeezed Kakashi's hand where he held it. “But I know this is your job and sometimes you can't tell me things.” He let go of Kakashi's hand to smack the back of his head. “But if you ever use my baby for your sting again, I will not only divorce you, but probably have to ask Jiraiya to help me hide your body.”
Kakashi smiled sheepishly. “I promise to not use Naruto again. I can't promise I won't use Itachi again.”
Iruka smirked. “So, can I make Sai squirm at this dinner you're insisting we throw tonight?”
Kakashi tossed his head back and laughed. He pulled Iruka onto his lap and ran his hands up and down Iruka's back. “Does this mean I'm safe for now?”
Iruka rolled his eyes before leaning down to kiss Kakashi deeply. “Yes, this time.” He wrapped his arms tightly around Kakashi's neck before grinding down into his lap. “I do have to start getting food ready though. How many people did you invite?”
Kakashi groaned. “Sai and Hidan,” he nipped at Iruka's lips. “And, um, Deidara and Neji, probably.” He took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. “If you want to leave this room in the next hour, you should probably get up.”
Iruka chuckled and kissed Kakashi once more. “I love you, you idiot.”
******
Sai frowned as he saw Deidara and Neji at the door as he and Hidan stepped up behind them. “Exactly how many people did Kakashi invite over to put between himself and Iruka?”
Neji chuckled. “Probably not nearly enough. And you realize you are probably the most likely to get run through given you gave his baby drugs?”
Hidan growled. “We'll see about that shit.”
Sai put his hand on Hidan's waist. “I've earned it. If Iruka wants to rip me to pieces verbally, you will let him. This is my penance.”
Hidan growled again, but nodded briefly. “How fucking long til we can just walk in the goddamn door.”
Iruka's smile dropped from his face as he pulled the door open and saw the person who could only be Sai standing behind Neji. “Please come in,” he said as politely as he could. It wasn't the fault of the others that Sai happened to be there at the same time. “We're happy to have you over.”
Neji chuckled as he headed inside. “Is Naruto in the kitchen or trying to keep Sasuke and Itachi from joining forces to embarrass him?”
Iruka gestured toward the living room. “He's working to keep Kakashi and Itachi from one upping each other, actually. Sasuke is helping.” He smiled at Neji. “Why don't you head in and see if you can help with distractions.” He grabbed Sai's arm as he passed. “Not you. We have words to have.”
Hidan stood with his arms crossed behind Sai. “So lead the fucking way.”
Iruka shook his head. “I understand that he's your partner, but we're talking about my child.” He glared at Hidan. “I will leave him in one piece per Itachi and Kakashi's request, but know that he's also going to have to face Naruto.”
Sai turned to Hidan and shook his head. “Go to the living room. You can help Kakashi and Itachi one up each other. Someone should be on their side.”
Hidan looked like he was going to argue, but chose to turn away and head into the living while Sai followed Iruka to the den. As soon as the door shut behind them, Sai turned to face Iruka. “I've earned whatever you have to say.”
Iruka pouted. “If you act mature I'm going to lose my steam. Stop it and let me get my anger out.” Sai smirked, but nodded and sat quietly. “God damn it. Do you have any idea how scared I was? He went through withdrawal between what you gave him and what he ended up getting at that club. And honestly? You violated him. You stuck your tongue down his throat. How anyone can trust you, I have no idea.” Iruka started pacing the room as he tossed his hands in the air. “Kakashi says it's just the way it is when someone is undercover, but I would kick his ass if he did something like that to someone. I should kick your ass for hurting Naruto.”
Sai nodded. “If you want to, I can take it. I know how much it hurt him.” He exhaled deeply. “I made Hidan hit me after that night with Sasuke. I do take the job home as much as I try not to. This one was hard because it was family. I love my cousins. I would never hurt them if I had a choice.” He wiped an angry tear from his eye. “In the end it was all for nothing because my asshole of an uncle got away.”
Iruka smiled. Kakashi had already told him Sai wasn't the guy he had been expecting, but it was obvious to see now. “I'm going to get Naruto and let him say his piece to you. Then we'll eat.”
Sai nodded and scrubbed his hand down his face, wiping at the few tears left. “Thank you, Iruka.”
A few minutes later Naruto came through the door, with Itachi behind him. Itachi grabbed Naruto before he could take a swing at Sai. “Let me go Itachi. I don't care what kissing and making up the two of you have done. He deserves my fist in his face.”
Sai nodded at Itachi. “Let him.”
Itachi frowned. “No. It was a job.” He turned Naruto to face him. “We talked about this. Sai is FBI and he had to do it to keep his place with Madara to take him down.”
Sai stood up and pulled Itachi back. “Itachi, he's not wrong. Let him.” He stood in front of Naruto. “I expected it from Iruka and didn't get it. I'll take whatever you want to throw at me.”
Naruto nodded and pulled his fist back, but stopped short just before Sai's face. “You deserve it, Sai, but Itachi wouldn't defend someone if there wasn't something worth defending.” He dropped his fist, but brought his other hand up and slapped the back of Sai's head hard. “But you have a lot to prove to me before I can accept you as a friend.”
Sai chuckled. “I can work with that.” He sighed and held out a hand to Naruto. “Are you sure you don't want at least one free shot?”
Naruto shook his head. “Iruka already measured you up. If you're not bleeding, then I know that we'll be fine eventually. People think Kakashi is the one to be afraid of, but you've never seen Iruka in full attack mode.” He shuddered and turned to Itachi. “Remember that time right after Sasuke and I started hanging out and Kiba stole Sasuke's coat outside the house?”
Itachi chuckled. “Yes, I do.” He pulled Naruto into his arms and faced Sai. “Iruka saw Kiba push Sasuke down and take his coat. Before any of the boys could blink Iruka was out the door and had Kiba by the ear. He made Kiba return the coat and then marched him down the street to his parent's house.” Sai cocked and eyebrow as Itachi continued. “He gave Kiba's mom an earful and then when everything seemed like it was over he said to Kiba, 'Are you really trying to break your mother's heart by becoming a thoughtless hooligan?'”
Sai chuckled. “So he's a master of guilt, is what you're saying?”
Naruto nodded and leaned back against Itachi. “And Kiba has never even thought about crossing him again.” He sighed. “He told me last year that his mom is the scariest person in the world when she's quiet because that means she's mad. He also said that Iruka's sharp tongue is scarier than his mom any day of the week.”
Sai smiled and exhaled. “We better get out so people don't worry, but thank you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know you as myself.”

Haku stretched as he felt hands carding through his hair. “Mmmm, Madara, that feels so nice.”
Madara chuckled. “Wake up, my dear.” He nibbled on Haku's neck. “We are going to make a run. I need to make a statement here. I have had light contact here, tendrils of business.” He smiled as Haku's eyes hardened. “I'll be safe.”
Haku sat up in their bed. “Madara, you brought me in to this business. I was happy as a doctor once, but I love you and it's changed my priorities. You are not leaving me here and don't say you weren't going to – I know that look.”
Madara frowned as he pulled back and reached to the nightstand. “I need to have my head in the game. I can't do that when I worry about you.”
Haku shook his head and took Madara's head between his hands. “You don't have a choice in the matter. We are partners, lovers, and I'm your number two in business now. You have ordered your people to listen to me as they would listen to you. You are the only person who can override me. If you're worried about me, teach me.” He sighed. “I won't stay behind.”
Madara growled as he leaned over Haku and pushed him back into the bed. “You, Little Minx, are insatiable.” He ran his hand up Haku's thigh and lightly over his cock. “If you're coming with, then I need to get this out of my system so my head is clear out there.”
Haku smirked as he arched his hips upwards. “Show you me love me, then.” He gasped as Madara rocked against him. “Fuck, Madara. Please. No more teasing.”
Madara chuckled. “Yes, I suppose so.” He grabbed the lube from their nightstand and quickly slicked up before sliding into his willing fiance. “So tight.”
Haku gasped as Madara thrust into him mercilessly. It wasn't long before he tensed and shot cum across his and Madara's chest as Madara stilled and spilled his load in Haku. “Ready to get to making your mark?”
Madara chuckled. “I need a bit more recovery time than that.” He ran his hands through Haku's hair as he rolled over to lay on his back. “Do you regret coming with me?”
Haku chuckled. “I was lost already.” He snuggled into Madara's side. “I like what we've been doing. It wasn't like I set out to be a crime lord or a crime lord's husband, but it fits.” He threaded his fingers with Madara's. “Now, like I said, ready to start making your mark?”
Madara chuckled. “Like I said I've had feelers out here for a while. One of my suppliers was threatened by another dealer. We're going to hit his operation.”
Haku smiled as Madara explained the hit they were making. He meant what he told Madara. This wasn't what he'd expected for his life, but to see the absolute slut Madara had been when they started this turn into someone to trust with his heart; he was hooked.
