A/N: Short chapter, sorry, but I really liked where it ended. More to come soon, I promise!
The morning of Lee and Tenten’s wedding dawned bright and clear. Fall had moved into Konoha, with the leaves turning beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow. The autumn temperatures made being outside much more pleasant. The wedding was to be held in the same place that Sakura and Naruto’s wedding was.
It was a beautiful and simple ceremony. Tenten’s dress was in a similar Chinese style as her usual clothes. High collar, short sleeves, it was a white satin with a tiny flower texture. Trimmed in green with a green sash to match Lee, she was stunning. Lee actually gave up his green jumpsuit, though Hinata suspected that had more to do with Tenten than Lee himself. He wore a simple formal black kimono. The only concession to his usual attire was a matching green sash.
Gai-sensei bawled the whole time, leaning on Kakashi. Kakashi took it like the stoic ninja he was and tried not to cringe too much. Neji tried not to look too annoyed, which was no small feat. Hinata just giggled through her tears. Her moods had started to swing horribly from one extreme to the other and she had a permanent box of tissues accompanying her anywhere she went, even standing up next to Tenten.
The reception was also similar to Sakura and Naruto’s, sans alcohol. Tenten was too afraid Lee would get a hold of some sake and end up destroying everything. They danced, Tenten threw the boquet, this time to Moegi. Lee removed Tenten’s garter with his teeth. As he did so, Tenten blushed when a kunai and three shuriken fell out of her dress. Seems the weapons mistress wasn’t comfortable even getting married without a few of her favorites nearby.
They’d decided on a morning wedding and so the reception ended mid-afternoon. It had been agreed that they would leave and try to get some distance in before nightfall. Hinata and Neji had a surprise for the couple, however.
They gathered their things and headed out within an hour of the end of the reception. Hinata was grateful for the training she’d put herself through. She had much more energy the last few weeks. It helped, too, that she had the herbal tea that Sakura had given her the recipe for. It was rather hard to have energy when she couldn’t even eat enough to keep a bird alive.
She’d also noticed she’d gained a bit of weight. She’d been concerned about it until just last week, when she’d seen Sakura again. Neji had attended a meeting for them, so she’d gone alone.
“Sakura…I’m worried. Despite all my training, I’m gaining more weight than I thought I would – now, at least. I understand there will be much more later on, but…“ Hinata twisted her fingers together in her agitation.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s a good thing. Remember that the baby needs plenty to keep it going. As the baby grows, so will you. A few pounds are nothing to be concerned about. Now, let me check you over.” Sakura motioned for her to lie down on the examining table.
Hinata stretched out and closed her eyes. She could feel the warmth of the medical jutsus that Sakura was performing. She moved her hands over her abdomen in concentration, then gasped.
“Wh-what? I…is…something wrong?!” Hinata almost sat up, but noticed Sakura’s face at that moment.
Sakura smiled at her. “No. In fact, I think you’ll be happy about this. You’re going to have twins.”
Hinata was stunned, and her hands went unconsciously to her abdomen. “Twins? Are you sure?”
Sakura nodded. “There are two distinct chakra presences there. I don’t know anything about them yet – it’s still a bit early for that. But there are two. That’s not unusual, though. Twins do run in your family.”
She remembered the look of stunned joy on Neji’s face when she’d told him. He’d dropped to his knees and kissed her belly. He activated his Byakugan and stared at the two small spots where the babies’ chakra had gathered. They were still so small, so fragile. He gently ran his hand over her belly, then pulled her to him and hugged her.
She brought herself back to the present with an effort. They were making good time and should be at their goal just before nightfall.

Hinata and Neji signaled to the rest and dropped out of the trees just as night started to fall. Kiba started to whine a bit, but Neji just glared at him.
“Come on, Neji, we can get further than this.” Kiba glared back.
But it was Shino that answered. “You may be able to, but let’s not forget two things. This is Tenten and Lee’s wedding night” at this, the newlyweds in question both blushed, “and Hinata, for all she is capable of, is almost 8 weeks pregnant. She needs to rest, for the baby’s sake.”
Hinata giggled. “I um, didn’t want to take away from Lee and Tenten’s wedding, but Neji and I just found out…I’m having twins!”
Tenten almost squealed as she launched herself at Hinata for a hug. “Oh, wow. That’s so great!” She leaned down and stared at Hinata’s belly. “You be good to your mama!” She scolded them.
Hinata giggled again. “Thanks, Tenten. And thank you, Shino. Yes, I do need some rest. We’ll make good time tomorrow, Kiba.”
“Hinata, I didn’t know, of course you should rest!”He turned to Neji, “Should we re-think our distances?”
Neji shook his head. “Hinata and I re-examined them last week when we found out. We will, of course, keep an eye on her, but we will try to make them every day.”
Hinata cleared her throat. “Anyway, we stopped here for a reason. Follow me.” As she led them through the trees, they heard a waterfall close by. A minute later, they were all standing on the edge of a hot spring. “We thought this might be a nice place to stop for the night.”
Everyone seemed very happy with it. They made camp just far enough away to give the bather’s some privacy. There were a couple of sections with natural rock barriers, but not enough for everyone. Kiba and Shino offered to let the girls go first, but Hinata and Tenten wanted to make the food first.
“Go ahead. We’ll put together dinner and go after we all eat and clean up.” They shrugged and headed to the spring.
Dinner was fairly simple. They actually had leftovers from the reception, along with small pieces of cake that Tenten had managed to keep nice. They ate quietly, always on the alert for something out of the ordinary.
Thus far, they hadn’t seen anything. The birds were still chirping, the sounds of the forest normal. They wouldn’t relax their guard, though.
After they cleaned up dinner, Hinata and Tenten headed for the spring. Both closed their eyes as the hot water relaxed their muscles and worked away the tensions from the day. Weddings carried a ridiculous amount of stress.
Before long, Hinata’s eyes started to close and she drifted just a bit in her relaxation. Just as her eyes closed, however, she felt the water move next to her as Neji slipped into the pool. She opened them in surprise and looked around. She watched as Tenten moved around the rock divider, then heard Lee say something quietly to Tenten.
Hinata blushed, but was immediately distracted by Neji as he pulled her up against him. She could feel his desire stirring as his hands moved up her body to cup her breasts. She sighed and moved against him, loving the way her sensitive flesh responded to him.
Neji leaned her head back and kissed her thoroughly, teasing her breasts at the same time. One hand moved down over her belly to bury themselves in the curls at the apex of her thighs. She gasped as his fingers found her nerves and teased her response out of her.
She moved against his hand, needing more. His mouth replaced the hand on her breast as he suckled gently at her nipple. The already-sensitive bud reacted almost violently to it and Hinata almost screamed.
She bit down on his shoulder to hold in the sounds. He continued to work her, teasing and tormenting both places at the same time until she shuddered in release, leaving a mark on his shoulder in an attempt at silence.
Neji turned around and picked her up to lay her back on the smooth flat stones surrounding the hot spring. He kissed his way down her body before replacing his other hand with his mouth. He licked and sucked on the bundle of nerves and she moaned and bit her own hand this time, to keep from calling out.
His name was muffled against her hand as he brought out her climax once more before moving out of the water to cover her with his body. He lifted her legs up around his hips and entered her slowly. She gasped and dragged her fingernails over his back.
The sweet pain caused him to forget all about being slow. He plunged into her, fighting for control. She moaned and he covered her mouth with his to swallow the sound. She wrapped her legs around him, crossing her ankles and pulling him deeper.
He began to move, all sense of control gone. “Faster, Neji…” she whispered, moving against him, matching his thrusts. He complied, lost to the feeling of her, and as he felt her tighten around him and bite his shoulder again in her release, he filled her with his seed before collapsing on top of her for a moment.
They cleaned each other, which succeeded in getting them going again. This time, Neji lifted her and brought her down onto him, still standing in the water. He leaned her back against the rock divider, pulling her arms over her head, he held them there with one hand.
He kissed each of her breasts, taking one nipple in his mouth. He tormented it, pulling more gasps from her before moving inside her. He held onto his control this time, not satisfied with a single release. He went slow, teasing her, building the pressure, drawing out the pleasure. Only after he pushed her off the edge a second time, did he let himself follow her.
They set up shifts over night, but thankfully, it was still quiet. They ate a quick breakfast, Hinata making sure to drink her herbal tea, then headed out. The hope was to get some good distance in before nightfall that night.
They stopped for a short lunch, again in deference to Hinata, before taking off again for the afternoon. The fall weather helped, keeping it cool for them and they only stopped just short of their goals. Hinata was a bit frustrated, but Neji wouldn’t let her get angry with herself. No doubt the twins played a part in her exhaustion.
They took shifts again and, thankfully, again the night had been a quiet one. With any luck, they would make the clan house before nightfall. A quick breakfast and tea and they were on their way again. Mid-morning, however, their luck ran out.
Hinata was lost in thought, her mind having wandered back to the hot spring when she almost ran into Neji. He’d stopped on the limb in front of her and she had to throw her chakra quickly into her feet to keep from falling out of the tree. “Neji…?” She peered around him.
There, standing in a tree just ahead, was Kabuto.
