Hinata frowned as Yami walked into her office. “How did Father take the news that we may have a leak in the office?”
Deidara chuckled, knowing full well what Hiashi thought since he was the mole and man knew it. Hinata had discovered some of the documents that were missing from before, however. Deidara knew none of those documents were of any use though. “He's your father. You already know how he takes betrayal.”
Hinata smiled. “Yes, but I was curious how he handled it when you brought it to him. The documents that are missing indicate either you or Charlene. We never had issues before you were on board.” She sighed. “You were called another name by Haku.”
Deidara smirked. “I should have known I couldn't get away from you after that.” He sat down in the chair across from her. “You're a lot sharper than most people give you credit for, yeah?”
Hinata sighed. “You don't seem worried.” She shook her head and buzzed into her father's office. “You know, don't you?”
Hiashi's chuckle spilled from the intercom. “Why don't you and Deidara come down to my office? Grab Neji on your way and maybe a coffee.”
Hinata huffed. “Why am I always the last to know things?” She stood up and stared Deidara down before turning and heading for Neji's office. She knocked on the door glared at Neji. “You too, huh?”
Neji looked confused until Deidara shrugged. “We weren't trying to keep it from you because we didn't think you could be trusted. We didn't want you in danger.”
Hinata tossed her hands in the air and stalked away toward her father's office. Deidara chuckled at Neji, “I think we should grab Hiashi his coffee. He might need it to deal with a raging Hinata.”
Neji smirked. “I think you are going have the more difficult job of convincing Hinata that what has been growing between the two of you wasn't just a job.”

Naruto sighed as he watch Sasuke pace the living room. Anko was coming over shortly and Sasuke was worked up. They'd continued talking, although Naruto hadn't had as much time as he would have liked to talk with the both of them, after his unintentional use of narcotics. “Sit, Sasuke. We picked out a great present. She hasn't left you yet and we've had absolutely crazy lives.”
Sasuke chuckled. “I just blamed it all on you.”
Naruto huffed. “Your family is more crazy than mine.” The doorbell rang and Naruto chuckled. “You better go have fun!” He smiled and patted Sasuke's shoulder as he headed upstairs while Sasuke went to the door.
Sasuke smiled when he opened the door and saw Anko standing there, hand on her hip. “I know we were going to stay in, but it's really nice out. I thought maybe we could take a walk.”
Sasuke shrugged. “Sure, I don't mind. Let me just tell Naruto so he's not worried if we're not here.”
Anko smiled as she looked around the house. She hadn't had a lot of time the last few times she'd been there. There were loads of pictures of Naruto and Sasuke around in the living room. It was obvious how big a spot Sasuke had in this family regardless of how the relationship between Itachi and Naruto worked out.
Sasuke smiled as he saw Anko exploring. “You ready to go?”
Anko nodded. They stepped outside into the beautiful sunshine. “Are you ready for graduation? That's less than a month from now, isn't it?”
Sasuke nodded. “Yeah, somehow with everything else this year, we've still managed to keep up grades and both of us will graduate with honors.”
Anko chuckled. “I can't picture Naruto as an honors student. He's so, perky.”
“He can be really serious when he needs to be. School has been important to him. He wants to prove to Iruka that he's not a burden. Some of his early foster homes were really bad.”
“I know what that's like. I was in the system when I was in younger. My mom couldn't handle being a parent and she did what she thought was best for me. Turns out that the system likes to throw away kids.”
Sasuke smiled. “You did alright for yourself. You were only a few semesters behind Itachi, right? Should be graduating next year?”
Anko nodded. “He's got contacts he's planning to introduce me to if I have issues landing a job on my own.”

Sai frowned as Madara pulled him into the office. “What's wrong, Uncle?”
“We have a problem.” Madara poured Sai a shot of whiskey. He indicated the closest chair and waited for Sai to sit down.
Sai took a drink of his whiskey. “What kind of problem?”
After a long considering look, Madara sighed. “I think Deidara is compromised. Haku slipped and called him by his real name in front of Neji.”
“So you need me to off Haku?”
Madara narrowed his eyes. “Did I say that?” He leaned forward, his voice dropping into deadly seriousness. “Haku will never be touched. You hear me? That is my fiance and I expect you to show him exactly the same respect you show me.”
Sai nodded. “I apologize for my misspeak.” He leaned back and crossed his legs. “What is the plan, then?”
Madara huffed and leaned back as well. “I need Deidara taken out. He's too much of a liability at this point. Even if he hasn't turned he's compromised.”
Sai nodded. “How do you want it done?” While his face gave nothing away due to years of practice, inside he was panicking. They'd have to out themselves to keep Deidara safe.
“I don't care. Expose him as a criminal to the bureau. Feed him to the sharks. Use your wicked imagination. I just need him out of Hyuuga Corp before they realize who he is and what he is doing.” He leaned forward. “If they get him first, then everything I have here is done. I know he'd spill on me if it meant his safety.” He stood and motioned Sai to follow as he crossed the office. Pausing with his hand on the door, he looked at Sai. “Don't mention this to anyone, just do what you need to do.”
Sai nodded and stepped out of the office as Madara opened the door. “You can count on me.”
****
Sai huffed as he sat in the boardroom they were using. “So that's where Madara's at. He's spooked, but he wants Dei taken out.”
Neji shook his head. “We know that's not going to happen, but what's the next step? Do we pretend to catch him? Do we make him disappear and look like he's out of the picture?”
Shikaku held up his hand as Hiashi, Kakashi, and Hidan all started to speak at the same time. “No. We don't do either of those things.” He glanced over at the newest member of their party. “Hinata invites Naruto and “Yami” out for Ramen. Naruto invites Itachi. Itachi lets Naruto in on not acknowledging Deidara by name. While the group is out for dinner, Kakashi comes in having run a check on Deidara for Hiashi and has found something in his criminal background.”
Sai nodded. “If Deidara gets busted by Kakashi, then I can't get him without a good excuse which puts him out of reach. But we have dirty agents at Konoha PD. They could still get rid of him.”
Shikaku nodded. “That's where I need to use Hidan. I know he tends to sniff around the PD to find if any of their collars can swing FBI jurisdiction.”
Hidan chuckled. “That's not what I fucking do. I sniff around because those KPD bitches don't fucking know what's under their noses and I don't want some bastard getting out on bail when he should be in the fucking electric chair.”
Kakashi snorted. “Thanks for the vote of confidence.”
Hidan smirked at the man. “Don't fucking mean you, dickweed.”
Rolling his eyes, Hiashi spoke up. “Okay, so Hidan takes him, but how does this help us bring Madara down?”
Sai spoke up. “If Deidara can expose him in the bureau where no one is crooked except me now, Madara will have no choice but to flee. We can catch him in the act of running, and expose him for what he is.”
Kakashi nodded. “The sooner I can get Naruto out of his hands, the better. Not to mention the faster I can give Iruka some kind of explanation and hope I don't end up kicked out.”
Shikaku frowned. “This is going to have to go just right or Madara will figure out what's going on and bolt early before we can catch him.”
They spent the next half hour streamlining the plan. Itachi dropped his head to the table and sighed as he felt a hand land on his shoulder. “It's going to be okay, Itachi. We're going to get him.”
Itachi frowned, but looked up at Kakashi. “And if we don't? I don't want Naruto having to look over his shoulder for the rest of his life.”
Kakashi nodded. “I don't think you will either way. If something should happen and he gets wind of things, he's going to run. He's also going to know there's no way he can come back here because of the team assembled against him.”
“All I can do is put my trust in everyone here. It's a terrifying thing for me to do.”
Kakashi sat down next to Itachi and dropped his hand to Itachi's knee. “You have to know you're already family. Sasuke was the minute Naruto decided to adopt him as his best friend. The steps you've taken already to keep Naruto safe, and the maturity you've shown this year tell me everything I need to know about how much you love my son.”
Itachi took a deep breath and looked in Kakashi's eyes. “I will do anything for him.” He sighed. “I just need to be sure you know that. That I would die before I let anything happen to him.”
Kakashi smiled. “I do know that, Itachi.” He chuckled. “Remember when you first came to meet us? What did I tell you?”
Itachi smirked. “You told me that an old man like me had no right to a kid like Naruto.”
“Well, I stand corrected.” He sighed. “Itachi, you're just a kid too and one that had a hell of a life. But you did some really fantastic work with Sasuke. And you took on so much when you were only eighteen, a kid yourself. Naruto is as good for you as you are for him. Itachi, both Iruka and I will be proud to call you son. No one is going to take anything from you.”
Itachi smiled a true smile. For the first time in a long time, he believed that maybe he wasn't going to get screwed over by the world.
*****
“Nar,” Itachi chuckled as Naruto bit down on his earlobe. “Naruto, pay attention. This is important.”
Naruto blinked innocently at Itachi. “Okay, I'm listening.”
Itachi shook his head. “You are going to be invited to get ramen with Hinata soon. She will be bringing a friend named Yami. Yami is actually Dei, but you cannot acknowledge him as Dei at all.”
Naruto smirked. “Have you finally deemed me worthy of whatever plot you've been hatching?”
Itachi gaped at Naruto. “How did you know?”
Naruto chuckled as he clasped his hands behind Itachi's neck and leaned forward to kiss Itachi's nose. “I know everyone thinks I'm unobservant and innocent, but I realized what was going on when Neji let himself get kicked out of the club. I realized it when Dei kept saying he didn't know who I was or that he wasn't Dei. I get it, my face doesn't keep secrets.”
Itachi smiled. “I am the luckiest guy on the face of the earth, but you are not wrong love. This is why I need you to get the idea of Deidara as Deidara out of your head. You need to believe he's Yami or you'll give it all away.”
Naruto chuckled and leaned forward again catching Itachi's lips with his teeth. “I love you, Itachi,” he murmured against his fiance's lips before taking them in a tender kiss.
Itachi's hands rubbed down across Naruto's ass, squeezing softly as he rolled his hips into Naruto's while pulling him forward. Their erections brushed against each other through their jeans. “I really want to take you, Naruto, but we can't just yet. Kakashi wants to take us all out for supper tonight before things get tough.”
Naruto pouted as he pulled back from Itachi. “Okay.”
******
Naruto pouted as he sat at the ramen counter. Hinata was late. He wanted to meet her friend Yami. “'Tachi, she's never late. Why is she late today?”
Itachi wouldn't admit to feeling a slight panic himself. “She probably got caught in traffic. You know how Hinata is. She would rather not show up than come late, but she's bringing this Yami. Maybe he's not good at time management like she is.”
Itachi's phone rang, popping up Madara's name. “Uncle?” He frowned as he listened. “Sai should know where Deidara is, I'm out eating with Naruto and waiting on some friends.”
Hinata and Deidara walked in at the same time. Naruto smiled and waved at Hinata. “Hey Hinata! Who's your friend?”
Madara groaned in the phone. “Please try to get him out of there without giving anything away. Sai is coming for him.”
Itachi nodded and waved at Hinata and Deidara, pointing to the phone. “Of course. I have to go so I'll talk to you later.”
Hinata smiled at Naruto and bent down to kiss his cheek. “Naruto, this is Yami. He's my uncle's assistant.”
Naruto smiles. “You're the one I've been hearing so much about, then?”
Deidara smiled brightly. “Not possibly as much as I've heard about you. I was really worried about losing Hinata before I could even get the chance to ask her out as much as I'd heard about you.” He smirked and pulled Hinata's chair out for her. “I guess she must have liked me at least a little since she did put me out of my misery and tell me about your fiance. I'm assuming that Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome over there is the fiance.”
Naruto nodded and leaned into Itachi. “Yes, this is Itachi.”
Itachi nodded and held out his hand as Deidara took his seat. “Nice to meet you.”
The four of them ordered drinks and were just starting their appetizers when Kakashi came through the door. Naruto spotting him waved brightly. “Hey Kakashi! What are you doing here?”
Kakashi groaned and shook his head, but quietly indicated to the men behind him to block the entrances. He made sure that he only brought officers who were on the up and up. Confirmed by Sai as not belonging to Madara.
Kakashi raised his hand as he approached the table. “Yo,” he said lazily. “He glanced around the table with his eyes landing on Deidara. “We can do this loud or we can do this quietly; your choice Deidara.”
Hinata smiled and shook her head. “Kakashi, this is Yami. I'm afraid you are mistaken.”
Deidara sighed and pushed his chair back. He looked sadly at Hinata before narrowing his eyes at Itachi. “I'll go quietly, mostly to keep Hinata from being embarrassed.”
Kakashi nodded and escorted him out of the building. He waited until they were next to his car before he cuffed Deidara and put him in the back. They drove toward the station without conversation. Kakashi hoped the timing worked out so they could get Deidara off to Hidan before he even could finishing processing.
Kakashi opened the back door of his cruiser and pulled Deidara up by the elbow. As they walked he whispered to Deidara, “Hidan should hopefully intercept you. He is supposed to be skulking around the office today.”
Deidara allowed himself to pulled into the station and tried not to make it overly obvious he was willing or looking for anyone. Still, he wanted to be sure Hidan was here before he started any theatrics. Seeing the harsh man, he growled and tried to pull away from Kakashi. “I'm telling you that your wrong. I'm not whoever this Deidara guy is.”
Kakashi yanked harshly on his arm and pulled him through to his desk before harshly pushing him into the seat. “Forget it, Deidara. Your past has already been thoroughly investigated.”
Hidan's head popped up from the desk of the officer he'd been questioning. “The fuck you have over there?”
Kakashi glared up at the man. “Nothing that concerns the Bureau.”
Hidan smirked, flashing his sharky grin. “Oh? Then how come you just said the name of one of the FBI's most wanted Cyber Terrorists?”
Kakashi shook his head. “No way. I ran his prints and nothing came up about a federal warrant.”
Hidan chuckled. “Listen, dickhead, I said this is a bureau collar. You don't want the paperwork.” He grabbed Deidara and turned him around. “Take your cuffs, man. I gotta get this asshole in mine and down to my holding cells.”
Kakashi sighed and shook his head. “Fine, fine. It's not worth the argument. You better not fuck up and let him off.”

Madara growled as one of his contacts at Konoha PD explained that Deidara was taken in not long ago by Sai's Bureau partner. “Understood.” Hanging up the phone, Madara held out his hand for Haku, who had been waiting patiently next to his desk. Once Haku was pulled in tight to his chest, he sighed. “What do we do, my Little Minx?”
Haku frowned. “What happened?”
“Konoha PD picked up Deidara before Sai was able to get to him. Worse it's Sai's straight-as-an-arrow partner who nabbed him. My contacts have told me he frequently stalks their busiest nights looking for something Federal to bring in.” Madara frowned.
Haku gently traced his fingertips along the furrow in Madara's brow. “Any chance that Sai will be able to get to him?” When Madara shook his head, Haku frowned. “Then what chance do we have here still?”
Madara nodded. “I have a place in Paris. We can go there and reconsider our strategy.” He sighed, “but, with so many people who know about us here, I don't think I'll be able to come back. I lose what's left of my family.”
Haku sighed, figuring now was as good a chance as any to broach the subject. “Don't you think it's the slightest bit coincidental that Kakashi, the father of Naruto, happens to turn up something on Deidara to arrest him shortly after you told Sai that something needed done.” He shrugged when Madara's grip tightened. “It makes sense, as much as I know it hurts.”
Madara glared at him and Haku thought maybe he had actually crossed a line this time. Eventually though, Madara just sagged into his chair. He pulled Haku down for a kiss. “I know Itachi wasn't onboard, so Itachi makes sense. Sai though?”
Haku shrugged. “He played a part well, but he is FBI. Maybe the plan was him being trusted enough to get into position to take you down.”
Madara huffed, but pulled out his phone. “Haku, go pack up the important things from the apartment. You know where the documents are. Take Kisame for protection. We should have a day or two before they'll be able to mount an attack. I'll get the club in order.” He sighed and pulled Haku in for a fierce kiss. “I'd rather flee and have you than stay and fight and possibly lose you.”
