Yuudai glared at the dog in front of him. Bay hadn’t turned back into a human yet, and Yuudai had been home for nearly an hour. Yuudai looked over his shoulder making sure no one was there before looking at the dog again.
“I know I’m not crazy. I KNOW what I saw! Change back.” Yuudai frowned watching the dog just thump his tail on the floor. Yuudai groaned, getting up to let the fox roll off his lap onto the floor.
“Fine! Look at me like I’m crazy, I don’t CARE stupid dog!”
“Why… are you yelling at Bay?” Yuudai tensed, his eyes going wide looking at the front door where Naruto stood. Naruto frowned, a look of worry on his face over the sanity of his son. Yuudai frowned shaking his head.
“Just bored I guess mom…” Naruto nodded slowly then walked over picking the small fox up.
“Well maybe this will make you un-bored,” he said, handing Yuudai a scroll. Yuudai’s eyes went wide as he opened the scroll. Yuudai beamed looking at Naruto. “It’s a mission!”
Naruto nodded petting the small fox. “Aa it’s a mission for you and me. We’re leaving as soon as possible so go pack.” Naruto smiled watching the boy run off to his room to pack. Naruto sighed scratching the fox’s, ear gaining a squeal of delight.
“So you’re going on another mission?” Naruto didn’t look back. He knew it was Gaara, that man’s voice was music to his ears.
“Yeah… me and Yuudai both… Sasuke will also be joining us… I am going to take Bay to protect Yuudai if I can’t… I was hoping you’d take Daichi back to Suna with you? Me and Yuudai will be coming there right after the mission, and we will get a vacation,” Naruto said softly, smiling at the small fox. Damn thing was cute and very tame.
“Alright Naruto, but promise me… If he does anything, you’ll let Bay at least eat an arm… or leg… or Tactical.” Naruto laughed softly. Turning around, he kissed Gaara deeply, nuzzling the man.
“I will,” Naruto whispered into Gaara’s ear. He smiled setting the fox on his shoulder upon seeing Yuudai.
“Let’s go mom!” Yuudai said carrying only a small pouch of weapons- how a true Nin should travel. Naruto nodded walking to his room to get his Anbu outfit on. Yuudai looked at Gaara and frowned a bit at his father’s worried face.
“Don’t worry dad… I’ll protect mom.” Yuudai smiled when the redhead placed a hand on his head. Naruto walked out in his white and black skin tight outfit before leading Yuudai and Bay out, the fox sitting happily on Naruto’s left shoulder. Gaara sighed closing his eyes.
“That’s what I am scared of Yuudai…”

“So my teammates have been going missing, one by one, and now Asuma-sensei has gone missing? So we’re gonna find them… Why are we bringing a crippled dog?” Naruto frowned at Yuudai and sighed, stopping, they had been traveling all night and it was nearly noon the next day.
“Because Bay is important. He can pick up smells you might have missed. He can keep an eye on you when I can’t.”
“And he can make sure I don’t touch your mom.” Naruto rolled his eyes watching the Brunette jump down onto the branch beside him. He’d left the village with Yuudai and Bay without reporting to the Hokage tower. He didn’t WANT Sasuke to join him. He really didn’t want to be near said man. Naruto stood upright.
“Can we all just shut up and do the mission so I can finally get my damn vacation?” Naruto asked tiredly. He was suffering a slight hangover and everything was irritating him. Naruto frowned watching Bay. The dog was staring towards the left, his ears perked up, his back fur rising slightly. Naruto frowned looking at Sasuke.
“Bay’s reacting to something. Stay with Yuudai. Yuudai be GOOD, I do not want to come back and see blood from anyone, unless he is hostile! Understood?” Yuudai nodded slowly. He wanted to follow his mother, but if Bay reacted like that, silent but still upset, then it was bad, and Naruto knew it. Naruto jumped from branch to branch running in the direction the dog had pointed him to.
Yuudai shivered watching his mother leave. He looked at the Uchiha in front of him and frowned. He still didn’t trust or like the man.
“So, your mother never told you anything about his past, about your blood lines, about anything? That’s sad. You’re missing out on so much power Yuudai, power you could use to protect your mom,” Sasuke said in a soft voice, staring off in the direction Naruto had left in.
“…. What power?” Hook, line and sinker.
“I could train you… but you wouldn’t be allowed to tell your mom,” He shrugged.
“He would want to join in... and unfortunately only Uchiha blood lines can do this training.” Yuudai’s face darkened, this man had a way to protect Naruto, he could teach Yuudai how to make sure no one hurt his mom again, and he was withholding it from him!
“Teach me…” Yuudai said softly.
“With pleasure my son,” Sasuke said softly smirking.

Naruto jumped through the trees, frowning. He heard the faint cry of someone sobbing, a young girl. Maybe it’s Rue, he thought to himself but an uneasy feeling was creeping up inside. Something was not right. The smell of blood filled the air. Naruto stopped on a large pine tree, hiding within the needles that spread along the branches. He frowned looking down below. There was Rue, a young girl of about fourteen, pinned to a tree by her shoulder and the palms of her hands. She was crying. On the ground was Sen, an older boy of about fifteen, laying on the ground naked covered in white liquid. Naruto didn’t have to guess. Glancing away, Naruto noticed Asuma gagged and bound by ropes to another tree. The man was badly beaten. Someone beat him with a bat? Naruto winced softly. The man’s clothes were ripped and shredded. Naruto stood up looking at the fox as he set her down frowning.
“Go get Sasuke and Yuudai,” he said as the small fox ran off towards the two. Naruto looked back at the scene.
“Who would do this?”
“Now, now Naruto, haven’t we grown?” Naruto tensed, looking back his eyes going wide. It couldn’t be, this man was dead! Sasuke had claimed he killed the man!
“O-Orochimaru…”

Author notes: Three chapters! Sorry everyone for making you wait! I have had some personal life issues that have spirited me away for a while ^^; But I am back... hopefully.... Enjoy!
