-Next morning-

Hidan was in the kitchen making dinner and Lee sat up from the couch with a groggy groan. He had slept horribly. Hidan refused to let him go into his room and sleep in his bed with the red head, explaining that Gaara needed his rest and had changed. The leaf ninja and the immortal had argued all that night until Lee finally gave up. He gave a small smile seeing Hidan making breakfast, but the smile quickly faded as Hidan shot him a glare like 'no way in hell you are getting any' and he hurried up the stairs with a tray of the food he had just made going to give it to his 'lover'. "Gaara, wake up. I made you food to get your strength back!" The zealot's voice sounded happier and a bit higher pitch then normal as he put on an act for the young Kazekage, trying to stay on his good side since he did not remember anything. He may not have been mean anymore, but hell, who fucking cares. Gaara was the last person on this earth that was even semi being nice to him. After Kakuzu's death, Hidan could care less about anyone because no one cared for him. But the redhead did and he would try anything to get him to love him. Even dirty tricks.

Gaara was curled into a ball under the blankets, his body was not used to pain so he was trying to keep still. He opened his light green eyes and looked up at Hidan. "You know who I am right..?" Gaara asked yawning and pulled the blankets up to his chin.

The immortal set the tray next to Gaara on a bed stand then went over and slammed the door shut locking Lee outside as he responded, "Yeah, why would I not know who the love of my life was?" Lying once again. Hidan felt bad for lying to the redhead, but as of this point he could care less. Any trick meant any trick. And taking advantage of the fact he remembered nothing just made it all the more easier. A pain was in his chest from the lying, but he was used to pain so he thought nothing of it as he walked over and sat down next to the younger boy.

Gaara stared at him then looked down. "Who am I then..?" He asked pulling the blankets tighter around himself. "Everything is..blank.." He said.

"You are Sabaku No Gaara, leader of the Sand village called Suna. And my lover at that.. I am sorry that everything is blank.." Hidan leaned in and went to press his lips to Gaara’s but froze inches from his, "May I kiss you..?" He asked. "Since you don't remember anything I don't wanna freak you out.."

"Huh??? I'm a leader? How?...How old am I? Do I have a family? How did we met??" He asked and reached a hand up to rub his forehead feeling pain.

"Well yes.. you are.. You are the best fighter and you care about your village very much.." Hidan responded. It was a lie of course. He didn't know why Gaara was the leader he was just guessing. As for the age he guess on that as well, "Umm and you are er.. 18?" It sounded more like a question then telling him. The family he simply responded yes, saying a mother and a father and he was an only child. That as you all know, was utter crap. But how was the former Akatsuki member to know? He was just telling Gaara what he figured he wanted to hear. "We met years ago, you have always been my friend and well.. last year.. we just kinda ticked so we got together as lovers.." Once again, lies straight off the top of his head. If you asked him in a few minutes, he probably would forget what he just told Gaara. The immortal pulled back deciding against the kiss since the redhead started asking him questions instead.

Gaara stared at him then slowly nodded, he looked down trying to think. "Ok...so..we are together? Hai?" He asked blinking. He blinked as a moth went by him and reached out trying to catch it. "Hehe come back here!"

"Well.. yeah we are together.. Lovers for a long time now.." His eye twitched at the redhead paying a bit more attention to the moth then him. Hidan was an attention hog, he couldn't help it. Reaching out he quickly caught the moth but was very careful not to squish it as he leaned into Gaara, His chest against his shoulder, opening his hand so Gaara could see the moth sitting on the smooth skin of his palm.

"WOW! How did you do that! That was amazing!" Gaara said loudly and stared down at the moth. Gaara felt weird at being touched by the older male but smiled down at the moth. "Its cuute!"

"We are ninja.. you can be faster then a silly moth.. and I suppose it's cute.. but you are way fucking cuter.." Hidan said to him leaning his head into the redhead's ear gently nibbling on it. The moth started to move around in his hand slowly going to Gaara.

"Hey look look!!!" Gaara said pointing at the moth. He tilted his head to the side to stare down at the bug.

A growl slipped out of Hidan's lips and closed his hand, killing the small insect. He did not like the fact Gaara was not paying attention to him. "Stupid thing.." He muttered then frowned putting up another one of his famous acts. "Opps.. I am sorry Gaa-kun.. I didn't mean to.. they only live for a small time anyways.." He told the redhead as he flicked the dead moth to the side before pulling Gaara into his lap on the bed.

Gaara felt tears fill his eyes and he pulled away. "You killed it!" He yelled and rubbed his eyes.

'Shit..' Hidan thought to himself as he pulled Gaara back into his lap. "No no.. I'm sorry..."  Lee was leaning on the outside of the door and heard Gaara crying. He punched the door and broke it so the lock would unlock and he walked in. "What did you do to cause him to cry?!" he yelled his voice obviously angry as he stormed over yanking the redhead out of Hidan’s arms with force, yet he was gentle and careful not to harm Gaara in anyway.

Gaara sobbed and pointed down to the dead moth on the floor. "He k-killed i-it.." He said crying and then blinked at the feeling of Lee holding his arm, it didn't feel weird at all.

"It is just a fucking moth.. come on Gaara-kun I said I was sorry.." Hidan told him as he got up. "Lee let go of my boyfriend now!" He said his voice rough with anger. Lee glared at him, "You upset Gaa-kun! And he is not your boyfriend! Stop telling him such lies! Gaara you do not have your father and mother, just your sister Temari and brother Kankuro! The other stuff he got lucky on.. but you have not met him until about a month ago! He tried to rape you he is lying to you.. please Gaara.." Lee told him and let go to spin him around to look him in the eyes.

Gaara felt his eyes fill with more tears and hit Lee's hand away. "I'm s-so confused!!" He yelled holding his head and ran past him out of the room and down stairs.

Lee tried to run after him, "Ga-" Hidan caught him and growled out under his breath, "You are the one who made him cry more! face it Gaara doesn't love you anymore now let me have my chance with me forcing myself on him!" The leaf ninja's eyes filled with tears as well and he pulled away from Hidan bowing his head. Hidan took that as the chance to run after Gaara. "Does.. he really.. not love me anymore..?"  Hidan caught up to Gaara down stairs and caught Gaara pulling him into a hug, "Gaara I am sorry.. I shouldn't have let that bastard say stuff like that to you.. I would never lie to you.. please stop crying.." He said soothingly rubbing his back.

Gaara sobbed harder and looked up at him. "I'm so c-confused.. what’s the truth..? Why was Lee-kun so angry? Why is everything going wrong?" Gaara asked between his sobs and put his face in his hands.

"Shh... it is ok Gaara.. just listen to me.. look.." He tilted Gaara’s head up and looked into his eyes, his own violet ones seeming illuminant. "Lee.. he lies.. he makes up stories because he has always tried to steal you from me.. so p-please.. just listen to m-me.." His voice started to crack as the pain in his chest grew more. It now was causing pain that hurt, actually hurt. Normally pain would be pleasurable to him, but this kind, it was causing him to want to cry out. But he kept his mouth shut. What was causing the pain? Mean while upstairs Lee sat on his bed and bowed his head, his black bangs falling into his eyes as tears streamed down his face. He kept the sobs down, feeling that it was un youthful to be crying such tears of sadness. "Gaara.." He whispered under his breath as he continued crying alone.

Gaara stood there and rubbed his eyes calming down. "O-Ok..." Gaara said having a weird feeling that that was wrong but then blinked noticing his gourd. "What’s that?" He said walking over to it.

"It is your gourd... it holds your sand.." Hidan started walking over following the redhead.

Gaara knelt down next to the gourd and poked it, it fell over and landed with a loud thud on the ground. "Hehe." Gaara laughed and poked at it more.

The sand ninja from before knocked on the door and smiled when Hidan opened the door, "May I see the Kazekage." It was more of a demand then a question as he pushed passed Hidan and walked over to Gaara. "Hey you can not just come in here and go talk to my fucking boyfriend." Saro smirked, his plan was working. He held out a scroll to Gaara. "Take it.." He said, his voice was very soothing, but it had a certain chime to it.

Gaara blinked and reached up taking the scroll, his sand hissed in his gourd but the Kazekage didn't notice. "Ooh what’s this?" He asked Innocently.

Lee walked down the stairs and noticed the sand ninja who had grabbed Gaara's wrist when he took the scroll. "Forget.." Saro said only to Gaara his voice chimed again and he let go, turning, "It is just a simple scroll of stating you have to return to Suna soon," He told Gaara then left. Lee whipped his eyes and felt confused at the brown haired ninja, yet ignored his concerns looking to Gaara.

Gaara's eyes turned a even lighter a green for a moment then he blinked looking down at the floor. "What was I.. Oh sand!" Gaara said noticing sand on the floor and picked it up between his fingers

After a few days Gaara had finally chosen Hidan over Lee. The lying trickster just could not lose to Lee who was telling the truth the whole time. Hidan still had the pain in his chest and he still had no clue why but he ignored it told no one of it. The leaf ninja however, had a pain.. but it was different. His heart was pretty much broken. He finally just lost all hope. Gaara felt wrong with Hidan.. but ignored his feelings. On the certain day Hidan sighed at the two sitting on the couch. He was unsure of leaving the two alone, but he felt after the few days that he finally had Gaara all for himself. "I am going out, I will be back in a bit," He told them before leaving. Lee sighed and looked over at Gaara, his heart hurt anytime he looked at him. "So.. how is your relationship with Hidan..?" He asked at least trying to start a conversation. The young Kazekage shrugged his small shoulders, "Well.. fine I would guess.. but.. the kisses are.. different.. they do not feel the same.." He stated in a slight whisper. Lee had given up hope of ever getting Gaara back, but this one bit of information made his heart skip a beat. Out of sudden urge he turned and leaned into Gaara on the couch kissing him, his eyes closed tightly. At first Gaara's eyes were wide and he was tense, but slowly he relaxed and his eyes closed halfway. The redhead kissed back lovingly and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Lee's neck. After a few moments of them moving their lips on each other's passionately, Gaara pulled back and whispered something that brought the leaf ninja even more hope of his love returning to normal. He whispered into Lee's ear, "That is the kiss I remember.. that feeling.." Lee and Gaara had parted after the moment both awkward, neither spoke to Hidan or each other about it, and acted as if it never happened. However inside Lee was conjuring up a plan, trying to figure out how to bring his love back. And now he was more determined than ever.

"Gah.. who could possibly have the jutsu on Gaara-kun?? I read all these books and finally figured out what it could be.. but it has to be someone Gaara-kun has to be around every day.. but he is only around Hidan and I..." Lee stared at the scattered books across the floor of his room as he thought hard. Then it hit him. Saro! He had been coming by seeing Gaara for the past few days now.. and every time he would touch Gaara mutter something then leave. It must be him. But how was Lee going to leave and not let Gaara and Hidan know where he was going. He sighed walking down the stairs and froze looking at Hidan trying to pull Gaara into a kiss and Gaara refusing.

Gaara pushed hard on Hidan’s chest to move him away and stepped back. "Stop.." He said and looked down at the floor.

Hidan frowned at the redhead's refusal to the kiss, "But Gaara.." He reached forward and grabbed Gaara's wrist yanking his small body back into his own. "We have been together for a year now. We always have kissed.. can't I have one... please.." He forced out, his jaw slightly clenched as he tried not to cuss and scream at the younger boy. Lee kept quiet and winced seeing the two. He looked away quickly and slipped over to the kitchen, keeping quiet as to not interrupt them.

Gaara's sand reacted on its own and pushed into Hidan's chest forcing him back and right throw a wall. Gaara stood there frozen and stared at the sand swirling around him, a sudden pain was felt in his head as he finely snapped from the emptiness that had been in him since he lost his memory. "AGHHH!!" He yelled out in pain and dropped to his knees holding his head as more pain hit him.

Hidan cringed when he hit a wall behind him but he caught himself and stood there his eyes growing wider. 'Not good not good.. sorry Gaara-kun.. I do not want to leave but sooner I find that guy Saro..the sooner you are back to normal..’ The leaf ninja told himself and he slipped out the back door, running away from the scene.

Gaara's sand formed a dome around him and he hold his head tighter as he tried hard to remember.

Lee had ran around every part of the village looking for any sign of Saro. Many people had recalled seeing him, but he was almost everywhere. Finally the leaf ninja found the imposter sand ninja on the roof of a building. He held down a small growl of anger that threatened to slip out of his lips as confronted the other male, "You are why Gaara-kun can not remember huh?!"

Saro looked over at the leaf ninja and smirked. "I don't know what you’re talking about." He stated and sat up on the roof.

"Yes you do! You are using a kekegenkai! At first I was thinking Hidan did it, but he is too stupid to think up something like that! So it must be you!" He yelled his body moving into a fighting stance. "Release him out of what ever jutsu you put him in or so help me.. I will rip you limb from limb!"

"Really? Rip me limb from limb? I'd like to see you try." He said then got to his feet and smirked. "You will forgot I am here.." He said trying to use his jutsu on the leaf ninja.

Lee glared at the other male. "Why the hell would I do that?!" He asked, his voice finally starting to show a hint of anger. He was really getting ticked at this guy. First he screws with Gaara’s head, then he acts all high and mighty and doesn't just give it up and let Gaara out of the justu.

Saro blinked then sweat dropped. "Ah I see it doesn’t work on you, well that’s a bother." He said and pulled out a scroll from his pocket. "Such a shame to waste to use my scroll on a weakly like you." He said looking over at him. "And that boy is a monster, I think I did him a favor letting him forgot all his past memory’s, now he doesn’t know how hated he really is." He said smirking.

"Gaara is not a monster! He was just fine the way he was! ..You.. You screwed up our relationship! ..He is dating someone now who will harm him! How can you possibly wish pain on him?! He is a great person!" Lee yelled at the male, getting into a more defensive fighting stance instead of the attacking stance. Tears burned his large brown eyes as he tried not to think of Gaara being harmed.

"Aww how cute you love the little monster." Saro said and set the scroll down, he kicked it open and water poured out of it, he moved his hand and it formed into a wave heading straight at Lee. "Bye-bye!" He said grinning.

"He is not a monster!" Lee jumped out of the way and ran over to Saro, throwing a punch for the male's face.

Saro jumped back and glared at him as paint on his face smeared. "Hey! Now I have to redo all the paint, and yeah he is." Saro said and blinked, 'Hm he is pretty fast.' He waved his hand again and the water formed into hands and moved up to grab Lee's legs.

The leaf ninja glitches dodging the hands effortlessly as he spun in the air kicking Saro back, "Get over your stupid paint!" He yelled after kicking the sand ninja back with Konoha Senpuu. He ran over and untied his wrapping tying the guy up before he could stand up once more. "Now.. Gaara is not a monster.." He said roughly pressing the other male into the ground, his knee pressing into his shoulder blades. "Release that jutsu on him or so help me I will break your spine right now.." He said his voice rough with anger and hurt.

Saro pouted seeing he had lost and sighed. "Jeez why does he matter so much to you anyway? He is not even from your village." He said and wiggled around wanting up.

"Because I love him, now I said, release the fucking jutsu!" Lee finally cussed he had had enough with the ninja and wanted everything to just be over with and to have his old Gaara back.

"Ok.. ok fine, fine jeez! Have your monster back." He closed his eyes for a moment and the jutsu was released. "There happy? You ruined all my plans." He said glaring at him.

"He is not a monster!" Lee yelled at him. "Now stay here and I will have someone come let you up once me and Gaara are long gone.." Lee said punching the male so that he would get knocked out before jumping down off the building.

-Meanwhile-

"God damn it! Gaara get the fuck back here! What has gotten into you?!" Yelled a very pissed immortal as he chased Gaara down an empty street.

Gaara ran faster looking for the leaf ninja. "L-Leave me alone!" He yelled over his shoulder and used his chakra to run up the side of one of the huge walls that surrounded the village, he leapt down into the woods and kept running. 'I can't find Lee-kun anywhere! Maybe he is in the woods training!' Gaara thought jumping from tree to tree. He was so upset that he had forgotten his gourd back at Lee's house.

Kakuzu stopped walking when he noticed the redhead. "Excuse me!" He yelled to him running over but then he froze looking at him, "Aren't you.. ugh never mind that.. have you seen a really fucking annoying white haired male around here, about this tall?" Kakuzu asked showing a height using his hand. He didn't want to be social, but he really had to see if Hidan was still alive.

Gaara jumped down from the tree and panted looking up at the other male. "Yeah he-...You’re from the Akatsuki...jeez is everyone coming back from the dead or something?" He muttered and pulled out a kunai since he didn't have his sand and all that was around him was snow.

The taller male shot him a glare and his string like wires came out of his hand and wrapped around Gaara, pressing him roughly into the tree, "Tell me where the fuck he is..." He said, his voice sounded uninterested yet worried as well. The redhead had mentioned seeing Hidan, but then he stopped and pulled out a kunai. On Kakuzu's part it seemed like a threat.

Gaara winced in pain when his back hit the tree and he bowed his head. "I just w-want to find Lee-kun.. why does everything bad always happen to me..." He said to himself and struggled to get free from the weird threads that were making it hard to breath.

The threads around Gaara tightened more as the Akatsuki member raised his voice, "Where is Hidan or I will kill you!" However before he was about to rip the small boy to shreds the zealot he was looking for came into view. Upon hearing just the end of what Kakuzu said 'or I will kill you' Hidan’s heart skipped a beat. "I have to protect him.." Hidan told himself running over, he grabbed the scythe off his back that he had grabbed before chasing after Gaara and quickly slashed Kakuzu’s threads. "Kakuzu! You bastard don't you dare kill him!!" He yelled. The tallest male cringed in pain and the end of the threads retracted and the rest fell to the ground. "H-Hidan why did you..?" He asked and Hidan moved in front of the small redhead to block Kakuzu's view of him. "I can not let you kill someone I have fallen for.." He said and Kakuzu winced once again from Hidan’s words.

Gaara coughed and let his back slide down the tree till he was sitting in the snow, he looked up at Hidan and blinked in surprise. "H-Hidan.."

Kakuzu glared at Hidan a little bit, "I see.. so that fucking brat replaced me? I could care fucking less go to hell!" He yelled. Hidan thought for a moment then looked to the floor, "I... I thought you were fucking dead! How was I to know..? He was nice to me when I came back unlike others.. I can not let you just kill him..." He stated. Kakuzu sighed and reached his hand up. The immortal saw it out of the corner of his eye and cringed thinking he was going to be hit, but instead he felt a light touch of his cheek. "Hidan.. I am sorry.. I was worried you.. you bastard.. now come home.. I have been looking for you for ever.. please.. I will leave the stupid redhead alone.." Kakuzu said his voice oddly soft. Hidan looked up and smiled a little bit, "Alright...and he is not stupid.." Hidan said before turning around to face the redhead. He bowed at the younger Kazekage, "I um.. I am sorry for how I acted before...Go find Lee... please.. don't let what I did hold you back.. I was wrong and I am sorry for that.." He bowed his head out of respect. Kakuzu leaned out from behind Hidan so Gaara could see him, "Oh.. er I guess I am fucking sorry about trying to kill you.. and Hidan why are you not fucking cussing anymore they turn you soft or something?" Kakuzu asked. Hidan glared at his out of the corner of his eye, but kept his head bowed and didn’t respond waiting for Gaara to say it was ok.

Gaara blinked looking at the two then smiled. "I am glad you have the one for you Hidan..and I forgive you.. maybe I will see you two again sometime." He said and stood up pulling the threads off his vest.

Hidan stood up, "Even now you are still very kind to me..I hope we can meet again soon as well.." He said holding his hand out to him. Kakuzu stood behind the other male awkwardly rubbing his arm, 'Hidan can we just fucking go..?" He said and Hidan didn't respond once again wanting to give Gaara a real goodbye.

Gaara shook his hand and smiled. "Bye.. don't get yourself into anymore trouble ok?" He said.

Hidan grinned and yanked Gaara into a tight hug, "You are too sweet, have a good life, hope to see you soon!" He yelled happily a small grin on his face as he pulled away. Kakuzu sighed at his boyfriend's stupidity and grabbed his shirt, "Come on.." He muttered dragging Hidan away who was waving at him.

Gaara smiled and waved back then turned and ran through the snow again looking for Lee. 'Where could he be...' Gaara thought jumping up into the trees to jump from tree to tree to get to the training grounds outside the village faster.

The leaf ninja sighed to himself leaning against one of the posts, a little afraid to go home. "What if he isn't back to normal..?" He asked himself as he smiled a little bit thinking of the fact he was in the place where him and Gaara were before he confessed his love to the redhead. He slid down and set in the snow, picturing Gaara in front of him. But.. the more he thought about it the more life like his memory looked.  Then he realized it really was Gaara. "Gaara!" He yelled standing back up quickly stumbling to his feet as he ran over.

Gaara ran up to Lee and throw himself into his arms tears streaming down his face. "L-Lee-kun!" He said into his vest so happy to feel Lee's arms around him again. When his memory had been gone it felt so wrong when ever Hidan touched him but when ever Lee touched him it felt right. He never wanted anyone to touch him but Lee, the one he loved more than anything.

The black haired male had a huge grin plastered on his face, happy to have his real Gaara back. He wrapped his arms around Gaara in a tight embrace and fell to the ground, tears starting to stream down his face as well, "Gaara-kun.. I was so worried.. so worried I had lost you..." He said holding back sobs and his shaky arms kept Gaara close.

"You c-could never l-lose me.." The Kazekage replied and hugged Lee as tightly as he could. "C-Can we go to S-Suna now this v-village is crazy.." He muttered and buried his face in his vest again.

Lee couldn't help but laugh a little and he nodded trying to make his tears go away, "Hai Gaa-kun.. now we can go to Suna.." He said to him and hugged him tightly.
