The morning was just beginning in the land of fire. The dark night sky began to move a little while ago, giving way to an imminent morning clear of clouds.
In the Ninja Konoha village, many inhabitants were beginning their routines, although the sun had not yet risen entirely, and there were still streets and houses that were still dark. The sun's rays were just beginning to flood the village, illuminating first the mountain adjacent to the village, where 3 faces were sculpted plus one that was under construction, going through the rock until descending to the foot of the mountain until reaching the buildings and residences.
And in one of the hundreds of houses located in the upper part of that same village, a room lightened dimly as the sun's rays entered through a window and filtered through curtains that covered the windows, allowing a small part to reach a bed in the center of the room where something began to move.
"mmh~" came a murmur from a female voice. Underneath the sheets, a red-haired woman opened her violet eyes, still a bit sleepy.
Managing to wake up enough to see what was in front of her, a warm yet amused smile tugged at her pink lips. "Minato?" she asked softly to the blonde man at her side whose arm she was lying on.
As if those simple words had any effect, the eyelids of the one called Minato began to lift, revealing a pair of blue eyes. Looking to his right, he found his beautiful wife lying on top of him, with nothing covering her naked body but the sheets they slept with.
"Good morning Kushina" Minato greeted somewhat sleepily.
"Good morning," she replied, a little more awake than he was. "Did you sleep well?" he asked as she settled in, rubbing her smooth skin against his and resting her hand on his chest.
"ah~~~ , a little. Though I feel like I didn't get much sleep last night," Minato said after yawning, running his free hand over his face to rub his eyes. He gave the impression that if he didn't, he might be unable to stay awake.
"hehe, sorry," Kushina apologized. Still, neither in her face nor voice did she sound regretful or guilty about anything. Instead she sounded amused, caressing her chest playfully, "maybe I got too excited last night..." she said, rubbing the smooth skin of her body with him. Kushina's hand, which was playing with the blond's chest, slowly started to move down, going under the sheets and reaching his abs. She also moved her body and brought her face closer to the side of his head, "... How about we play something like to wake you up? "
She suggested with a whisper in his ear as her hand continued to move down until it reached his crotch, where she began to brush his cock with her fingertips provocatively, making the blond shudder at the woman's sudden caress.
Minato seemed to want to say something but refrained when his wife's soft hand encircled his manhood with her fingers and began to massage it gently. "What... what time is it?" he asked as his cock began to get hard.
Kushina smiled victoriously as she saw that he was quite willing. "It's..." But that smile faded and changed to one of disappointment as she lifted her head to see the clock sitting on the nightstand across the bed "*sigh*...it's 07:53 a.m."
Minato was due in the office at 09:00 a.m., and they both knew they wouldn't have time to do anything.
"We'd better save it for another time," Minato suggested as Kushina withdrew her hand under the sheet with a resigned expression.
"Geez, I thought we'd have time," she complained, looking at the clock as if that thing was the one to blame "...well, I guess we can't do anything," she commented, accepting the harsh reality and deciding to get out of bed before mistakenly going back to sleep.
Pushing aside the sheets, Kushina sat up with her back to Minato, her feet touching the floor. The Uzumaki took a moment earlier for some morning stretches of her upper body.
Minato turned his head to look at her.
With the 4 years of marriage cumulative of the years of dating, the blond had witnessed her body multiple times, but still, he didn't seem to want to miss another chance to see it again.
Her back straight, her flame-red hair fell like a waterfall behind her and acted as a curtain that hid most of her skin from him. But he could still see some parts that could not be hidden.
The blond watched her pale, porcelain-smooth skin contrast with the vibrant red of her hair as she moved. When she stretched as she stretched her arms over her head, her torso thrust forward, letting her D-sized breasts jiggle accordingly.
From his position, Minato could only see the right side of one, though that didn't make him take his eyes off of it. Only by force of will or desire for more, his eyes took off from that area, lowering his gaze to roam Kushina's body until he reached her narrow waist, where her wide hips were beginning to accentuate. These may not be huge, but in the blond's eyes, these were of an ideal size, with mesmerizing capabilities when she moved them as she walked just to taste him and play with him, something she started doing since her body began adolescence. Plus, they matched perfectly with her ass, where Minato moved his attention. A pair of firm cheeks that the red hair failed to hide. They were one of the attraction points of the redhead's body.
At the sight of his wife's body, Namikaze's eyes went from side to side without staying fixed on any particular place. His attention went back and forth as if he was a hungry Akimichi in front of a buffet that was open only for a few seconds, and he didn't know which of all the delicacies to try.
"I'll take the bath for a few minutes and then you can go inside to shower," Kushina said as she got up. She walked over to the nearby closet and grabbed a couple of garments.
A black bra and panties set, an orange t-shirt and black leggings shorts. She only put on the underwear and the other two garments she carried hanging on her arm.
The last thing Minato saw before she left was the way the fabric of those black panties was engulfed and disappeared as they were hugged between the redhead's buttocks.
[Kushina's perspective]
Leaving the room, I headed to the bathroom to wash up a bit before making breakfast. Minato had to go to work shortly, so I'll let him have a bath and breakfast in peace.
I was upset that I couldn't get some morning action, but I can't do anything after what we did last night.
'Being able to use Hiraissin no jutsu to go from one side of the village to the other in a second has its advantages.' I thought to myself.
I closed the bathroom door as I entered and hung the extra clothes I was wearing on my arm over the laundry basket.
I headed to the sink, rinsed my face, fixed my hair a bit, and brushed my teeth. Afterward, I took one of the hand towels from a drawer under the sink, wetting it with hot water to run it over my body to get some of last night's accumulated sweat off.
Feeling sweat-free, I dried myself with another towel and put the wet one in the laundry basket. I set about getting dressed, putting on my shorts first, but before I put on my shirt, I saw my semi-naked body in the mirror.
Like any ninja who survived the war, I did not emerge free of wounds. Across my body, I saw the various scars I got in the battles, mostly small ones.
Unlike others, mine had the peculiarity of being quite invisible to the naked eye by having a tone not very different from my skin color. Even I was even surprised to see some of them since I simply forgot that I had them so much that I didn't notice them.
I looked at my arms and my legs, where I had most of those marks. But then I saw another one, quite large on my stomach, a little below my navel.
It was large compared to the others, almost 5 centimeters long, and perhaps the only one that could be easily noticed with the naked eye. I usually ignore this wound, so not seeing it so long ago made me remember the past.
[[ Present Narrative (general POV) /// {Remembering Kushina (Kushina POV)} ]]
{{I had it done to me about seven months ago or so, in one of the last battles of the third great ninja war. We were fighting near the border that the land of fire has with the land of rice and the land of valleys.
I, along with a battalion of 350 troops, attacked the headquarters and supply center of a Kumo outpost that was moving into the country. The attack was successful, taking them by surprise and wiping out a force of 430 enemies in a single battle, forcing their forces to retreat so as not to be at the mercy of the lesser countries that lay between the lightning and fire country.
But, almost at the end of the battle. A Kumo ninja managed to approach me and took me by surprise, stabbing me in the stomach with a kunai.
I managed to slit that bastard's throat on the spot after he stabbed me and obviously survived that battle. About 5 minutes later, one of the battalion medics came to check me over when it was all over. If I remember correctly, the front of my uniform was stained red with blood, but by the time they saw the wound, it was already closed and healed.}
Remembering that abnormal miracle that prevented her from bleeding to death that day, Kushina's eyes slid a little higher. A black spiral surrounded by different symbols was tattooed on her stomach—the reason she was saved on that occasion.
The reaper's seal kept the nine-tailed fox spirit, Kyubi, locked inside her.
A responsibility she has carried since she was eight years old and has continued for the past 15 years.
{{I still remember that time, I had arrived at the Leaf village two days before I met Mito-sama. She was an Uzumaki just like me (although because of her marriage, her name officially was Mito Senju) and the first Jinchuriki of the Kyubi whom I succeeded.
She was around 110 or so, a gentle, empathetic, and understanding woman. She was basically what you would expect from a sweet old lady who could be loved by anyone who knew her for more than 5 minutes. I had to restrain someone who was in stark contrast to her.
She was a great support to me when I came to this place. My life had changed very drastically and I was going through a lot. It was good to have someone who knew what you were going through and who you could talk to about it. She was a great emotional support for me and I doubt I would have been able to adapt so well to Konoha without her and a.... well, my whole situation since I arrived.
She told me about the importance of containing the Kyubi, about the alliance between Konoha and Uzushi, and how that was the best way to prevent the Kyubi from harming anyone.
The handover ritual took place 3 weeks after I met her. I remember well that it started in the morning in the outskirts of the village, being escorted by several ninjas and the third Hokage himself, and when it was all over it was already night.
I had been told that it was a process of almost 13 hours straight.
Something that stayed with me that day was the ease with which Mito-sama carried out everything. The procedure was quite demanding both physically and mentally, but while I struggled to keep my concentration to ignore the pain of the seal engraving on me and sweated a lot from the effort of holding still until it was all over, Mito remained calm and cool the whole time. Even though she was the one doing practically all the work, she didn't show much effort and looking at her conveyed a total peace, it seemed as if it was just another night of meditation.
After that, I officially became the Kyubi's Jinchuriki and Mito died about 10 days later.
I'm not sure if the fox transfer really had anything to do with it or if it was just natural causes.
Although I had known her only for almost two weeks, I was very saddened by her death. I had been allowed to attend her funeral to pay my respects. Although because the identity of the Jinchuriki had to be a secret, I only went in the last moments of the wake when there was almost no one there.
There was not supposed to be anyone there, but by coincidence, I was fortunate enough to meet his granddaughter, Tsunade Senju. From what she told me on future occasions, she had found herself fighting in the rainy country and had just returned to the village that day.
She was a blonde woman who like Mito-sama, had a diamond engraved on her forehead. She wore a gray combat armor of that era, somewhat damaged and worn, with a little dirt in some parts.
When I met her she was not at all friendly. She just gave me a look with a raised eyebrow and a somewhat blank stare before asking me; "Who are you?", and when I answered, she didn't say anything else, just ignored me and went on to pay her respects to her grandmother with a disinterested attitude. At that moment, I thought of her as a disrespectful woman for acting like that.
It was a good thing that when I met her I didn't think much of her and especially not to have spoken behind her back because of that bad first impression.
When she recovered a bit, we were able to get to know each other better, and she was one of the first people I got along with in the village.
In fact, she was the one who helped me shortly after, when the news came that Uzushigakure was attacked by a coalition of villages and destroyed. No survivors were ever found.
I went through a severe depression when I heard the news and didn't even eat properly. Tsunade had approached me, and in the days that followed she helped me process it. It was through those talks that I learned that when we first met she had suffered the loss of her brother and boyfriend in the war, in a period of 4 months, not to mention many other friends who also died as well as being involved in one of the worst battlefields of the third great ninja war and at the end she had returned with the news of her grandmother's death.
Her talking to me about it helped me recover a little bit, and I think it helped her too. Well, I didn't see her acting so cold after that.}
The Uzumaki woman came out of the bathroom dressed and tying her hair in a ponytail, letting Minato know he could go in while she went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the day.
{{ time went on, and before I knew it I had settled into the village, turned 12 and graduated from the academy. It felt a little weird at first to wear the bandana with the Konoha symbol instead of the Uzushi one, although I adapted in a couple of days.
When the teams were made, I got to take part with my friends Mikoto Uchiha and Tsume Inuzuka with whom I was in team number 5. They were (and still are) good friends of mine in our academy years, we worked together until we were 15 when we became chunins and the team was officially disbanded.
I still talk to them from time to time. Although not as much as I used to since they had children 5 years ago.
Mikoto had an arranged marriage at 17 with a guy from her clan named Fugaku and the following year she gave birth to a boy they named Itachi.
Tsume... I'm not really sure. As far as she told me, she slept with someone 6 years ago, the condom broke and she got pregnant with her daughter Hana. She never saw the guy again; maybe he ran away or died in the war.
Both situations were not at all uncommon at that time. They could have even happened both.
On the bright side, in her clan they are not very strict about marriage, so she was still able to keep her right to be the leader of her clan and take care of her daughter without any problems.}}
'mmh~, come to think of it... those two will soon start the academy' Kushina thought as she adjusted the knot of her cooking apron.
Looking for some ingredients, she started cooking while still remembering her life.
{{Apart from that, during that time there were also those ex-academy classmates who used to tease me for being a foreigner. I didn't see them for a while after graduation, but when I met any of them by chance, they acted differently.
Around the age of 13, they were starting to be nicer and more considerate to me. Wanting to talk a lot and be friends with me. Although for some reason, they would do it while getting nervous or blushing.
I say <<for some reason>>, but now over the years, it is obvious to me that they had simply hit puberty and saw me with different eyes. Those kids sure didn't even know what was wrong with them.
In their defense, my body developed well, and my current feminine attractions were born in those days. I was quite proud when I noticed the time I began my A to B cup breast transition.
They never had a chance to resist my beauty.
Too bad for them that I ended up dating Minato.
Who knew that flakky kid would become my own hero and current fourth Hokage? I don't even want to imagine what would have happened to me if he didn't save me when Kumo ninjas wanted to kidnap me. }}
The Uzumaki woman was beating some eggs with an amused, yet embarrassed smile as she remembered when her husband rescued her and praised her hair in the moonlight.
"Minato sure can show off when he wants to" She whispered, stopping whipping and proceeding on to something else.
{{After that, after achieving chunin rank, we arrived at the battlefields of the war.
At that stage of the conflict, only chuunins ranks and up were sent out, while genins stayed in the village doing minor missions while they finished their training. Although the need for more ninjas that arose from multiple battles changed that. It even relaxed the standards for rank advancement.
These were difficult and dangerous times. Konoha lost many troops only to get very little, I myself almost died on multiple occasions, and the few scars on my body were proof of that.
I went from one battlefield to another. Sometimes it was offensive operations, occasionally defensive. Capturing points with strategic value and others with moral or logistical value.
So many things happened from one day to the next that by the time I realized it, I had already reached 18 and reached the rank of jounin. Another three years later, I was assigned to my own team of genins who had to actively participate in the war.
My students were good kids. They were;
Kurenai Yuhi, a black-haired girl, from a civilian family but with a ninja background from her father and grandparents, was not as much as other ninja clans with hundreds of years of history, but she was better than many others. She was good at the art of genjutsu (which was not exactly my area of expertise). We got along very well and I taught her what I could about taijutsu and ninjutsu.
Daiki Aburame; belonging to the Aburame clan. Exceptionally skilled in the basic ninja arts aside from those of his clan (I still remember how Kurenai was bothered by so many bugs and watching them jump in and out of Daiki's body). He was good at leading, so he usually took over when we got separated, or they weren't with me in the first place.
Lastly, there was Katsu tetsumoto; like Kurenai, he too was from civilian origins. The youngest male in a family with 4 children; three boys and a girl. He was pretty decent at taijutsu and trap making, though not so much at ninjutsu or genjutsu.
We worked under the assignment of team 21. they were good in their respective areas and worked well together. We were not far behind Minato's team with Rin, Obito, and Kakashi.
From the few times we had overlapping breaks, we both did the training, joint drills, and also team sparring. Once, we almost won.
We did pretty well while we lasted together.
Unfortunately, Daiki died in battle two years after the team was formed. We worked with different genins without teams that Konoha provided us with to temporarily replace him, but in the end, no one officially replaced him.
Kurenai and Katsu managed to survive until the end of the war, but one of Katsu's brothers, along with his father, died, the other brother lives, but he was so injured that he was forced to give up the ninja life... and possibly to give up any other job.
So Katsu decided to give up the ninja life and look for a more secure job to help his family. Even though there were pensions for the families of dead or seriously wounded soldiers, he still decided to stay in the village and be the breadwinner of his family.
I understood that, and so I didn't say anything. I just wished him luck. The last I heard from him is that he works at the same place as his mother and is doing well.
Kurenai is still an active kunoichi, but due to the lack of members, our team was disbanded, and we are both waiting for reassignments.
It was a pity. I really liked them and hoped they could all do well when the war was over. But the death and misfortune of students is something that even the best sensei can't avoid. Even the Minato team was no exception. }}
Kushina's expression became complex as she remembered that occasion when she sent the 4 of them off for the last time and how it contrasted when she received the news of Obito's death.
'It was a complete disgrace,' she thought as she put the dishes on the table and served breakfast.
Kushina was very fond of Obito, and like Daiki, it was a hard blow to learn that he died in battle.
Entering the kitchen, She noticed her husband had already prepared breakfast and was ready for work. Kushina pushed those sad memories from her mind and sat down to eat next to Minato, who would soon have to leave for work.
{{ Good thing the war was able to end.
The end began when Iwagakure launched a massive attack on the northwestern part of the fire country, dispatching troops at various points along our border with the waterfall country. But after the initial attack, they launched a concentrated force of a thousand ninjas at a single point, breaking through the defensive line and moving a few kilometers into the country.
I don't know the strategic reason, but I think it had to do with the other troop movement that Kumogakure was making on the northeastern border. I once heard from Yoshino Nara that her husband told her vaguely that maybe they wanted to weaken us on one side so that Kumo would also attack us, then Kiri would also attack us and so in a domino effect.
Even so, Konoha had countered that move and managed to make a counterattack so effective that we managed to force them out of the war. And that counterattack was called Minato Namikaze.
With Iwagakure pulling out of the war, the other villages also began to withdraw from the conflict.
Kumo had retreated to the land of lightning after their outpost had been destroyed (that story I told earlier about the scar on my belly). Leaving a considerable gap in their outpost that could have been devastatingly exploited by the other countries. They did not surrender, they just retreated and before attacking again, the opportunity came to end the war, and they agreed.
Suna is a land of low resources per se, so they played mainly a defensive war with use of the environmental advantage they had (it is difficult for an army to cross the desert without being fully prepared). Attacking very few times before retreating each time, so they also chose to end the war when the opportunity arose.
Kiri was getting too much in debt. Being a small continent by itself, its transportation costs and supplies needed for the contest were accumulating debts. Its famous trade did not fully cover, so the Daimyo of water had put enough pressure on the Mizukage to end the war when he could.
While we didn't defeat the others, Konoha practically managed to come out on top by forcing Iwa's surrender and triggering the end of the third great ninja war after 30 years of conflict.
Even so, I still say that the third Hokage was too soft on Iwa's surrender conditions. He only asked for damage money. He really could have asked for much more. }}
It was 08:55 when Kushina and Minato finished eating. The blond put on his Hokage cloak and sandals and was about to leave.
"See you later Kushina," the blond said as he approached the redhead and leaned over to kiss her goodbye, which she reciprocated.
"Have a good day at work," she replied, waving her hand goodbye to him before he disappeared in a flash of yellow.
Minato left at 08:55:23 and arrived at his office at 08:55:24.
As her husband left, Kushina set about washing the dishes. There were only a few, so it wouldn't take long. After drying her hands, she suddenly began to feel some pressure from her bladder.
One is not normally happy to feel the urge to go to the bathroom, but on this occasion, that was precisely what happened as she got an enthusiastic smile before heading to the bathroom.
Upon arrival, she reached into the compartment behind the mirror for a small white box containing a white tablet.
With the tablet in her hands, she closed the compartment, hooked her thumbs into the edge of her shorts and panties, and slid them down her legs until they reached her ankles.
After the war ended, the couple thought it was a good time to have children. That's why they both woke up naked this morning, as Kushina was in her cycle of the month.
For the past 4 days, the redhead had been getting creampie after creampie to increase her pregnancy chances. Last night was also trying to conceive a baby, and if it wasn't for Minato having to work, she definitely would have had her husband give her another load of semen in her womb before breakfast.
Kushina was the one who wanted a baby the most, and this was the moment when the result of that effort would be known.
"Come on, come on..." Kushina was saying to herself. Staring intently at the pregnancy test like a gambler would at the possibility of hitting the jackpot. Holding the tablet in front of her with one hand, the other hand rested on her knee, squeezing and holding it with waiting, while the free one kept bouncing on her toes anxiously.
A single line appeared on the test.
"... maybe the second one takes a while."
...
....
......
The lone line on the test screen remained, and the redhead disappointedly lowered her head.
A month after of the end of the war, Minato and Kushina had considered having children.
The only problem was that they made that decision 4 months ago. And for 4 months, they failed to conceive.
Kushina leaned her back against the backpack of the toilet she was sitting on and sighed in frustration. The first 3 months with no result could be attributed to bad luck (somehow), but by this point, it's inevitable to realize that something really isn't working.
"I should talk to Tsunade," she said to herself with resignation, as if accepting some sort of reality.
Tsunade was a close friend to both of them, but more so to Kushina, so she could seek her out to talk to her without raising any suspicion.
For the redhead, it would be best to keep everything discreet and with as few people knowing about this as possible. Now that Minato is Hokage, he attracts a lot of attention from people in the village and outside it. And her being his wife also attracts some attention from curious eyes.
She had enough experience with gossip and rumors that she knew that a misunderstanding could become very distorted. The last thing she wanted was for a rumor to spread that Minato was infertile, or worse, impotent.
"I'll look for her later. The hangover usually wears off by 01:00p.m." Kushina said quietly to herself as she stood up and began to undress. Now that her husband was gone, she could take as long as she wanted in the shower.
A bubble bath would do her good now.

[A few years ago]
[Mito POV]
This.... It wasn't what I expected.
"Is something wrong Mito-sama?"
"Huh? No, nothing's wrong, dear" The voice of the little girl in front of me snapped me out of my thoughts. "Kushina, right? I was just a little surprised to see how young you are," I said, trying to do my best <<political smile>> so she wouldn't notice my disbelief.
Just a few minutes ago, I was quietly in my room waiting for the Uzumaki girl who arrived 2 days ago. Now I find myself sitting in front of a little Uzumaki girl with red hair that barely reaches my waist and looks like she is years away from even touching puberty. How did it come to this?
When the council told me: <<the next Jinchuriki is younger than you were when you became one>>, I was picturing a girl of 16, 15, or even 13 would be fine as long as she was an official kunoichi at the very least. But this girl!!!? Did she even finish the academy!!!? "te- tell me .... how old are you?"
"I'm 8," she replied, killing my hopes that she's just a teenager with a severe case of dwarfism.
'8!!!? She doesn't even reach 2 digits!!! What kind of idiot thought of bringing someone so young?' I know I shouldn't say these thoughts so actively because the Kyubi might hear them. But with a demon, why 8 years old? Uzushigakure is having population problems...is it that they stopped fucking for a generation, and this is really the best my clan has?
"Something wrong Mito-sama?" shit, my surprise must have shown on my face.
Okay, calm down, Mito. Even though the fact that a girl is your successor as Jinchuriki means that someone deserves to lose their job, by this point, maybe you can't do anything to change this. Besides, you are the adult in this situation and the wife of the first Hokage. You should act accordingly.
"It's nothing, dear," I replied, making a kind expression on my face. Children are usually trusting, a little calm, and being friendly should help me control this. "it's just that I was surprised to see that you are so young" too young. Do you even know why you are here? "I actually thought that whoever would come would be a little older."
From the bitter grimace she made, it seems she is also bothered by the situation. Leaving your home forever to move alone to a faraway place and being forced to have to restrain a fox demon until you die for the benefit of your village and another one you didn't know must suck.
"Mito-sama... can I ask you a question?" she said, lowering her head and looking at the ground. She sounded kind of dejected.
"Of course, sweetie" well, I guess doubts before having to seal a fox spirit are expected.
"What is a Jinchuriki ?" ........ what?
'What did she ask?' I thought, not understanding (or refusing to understand), "Kushina, didn't Konoha explain what a Jinchuriki is ?" I tried to keep as much of an innocent surprised face as possible and hide the bitter feelings that came over me from what I was hearing.
Kushina only responded by shaking her head in denial.
'She doesn't even know what a Jinchuriki is? But why didn't Konoha at least explain the basics to her? I understand she's just a kid, but they couldn't bring her all the way to the village without telling her a single word about what a Jinchuriki is. Why would Hiruzen do something as incompetent as... that...' in the middle of that train of thoughts, I stopped as an idea crossed my mind, and I wanted to think it.
'Hiruzen, you're a damn bastard! You threw me and a girl completely ignorant of what to do so that I'm the one who has to deliver the bad news? I explicitly asked you to do it because I didn't want to deal with it!'.
"wow, that's another surprise," I said in the best gentle tone I could do while resting a hand on my cheek in a shocked manner 'Fuck you, Hiruzen!'
I strongly feel that the fox inside me is laughing, but I'll try to pretend it's just my imagination. For now, I needed to take care of this girl.
I put a hand to my mouth in a thoughtful pose. I'm not sure how to explain this for an 8-year-old to understand without losing my mind, but let's see what happens "okay, tell me, Kushina, have you ever heard of the Bijus?"
"No"
"See, a long time ago, in the world roamed 9 different demons, called tailed beasts for possessing a unique number of tails from 1 to 9" she just nodded in response as if to say she understood "these were creatures that could bring chaos and destruction to the world quite easily. One of them was the nine-tailed fox, also called Kyubi." She replied again with a nod of her head in understanding while her face showed her interest.
"For being so dangerous to humans, my husband, Hashirama Senju, trapped them all and locked them up." Kushina's eyes widened in a sign of astonishment as she opened her mouth a little as if to say <<oh~~>>. '' The problem is that you couldn't contain such beasts so easily anywhere forever. Something special was needed..." I gave a slight pause as I watched Kushina become more and more interested in my story, leaning forward from where she was sitting. I brought a hand to my chest before continuing to sound somewhat noble, "A Jinchuriki Kushina is a person who carries one of these creatures locked inside. And I carry inside me the Nine-tailed Fox" I got the impression that she realized everything when the expression on her face changed from interest to shock.
"So being your successor, that means that..."
"I'm afraid it does," I decided to keep quiet for a moment to let her take it in, "I've kept it at bay for years, but I'm getting older and weaker every day. Soon I will die, and before that happens someone has to hold the fox or he will break free, and thousands of people may suffer the consequences..."
The look on Kushina's face didn't look very convincing with this <<moving speech>>, which meant I better use my other card up my sleeve "...including our home, Uzushi."
Kushina's expression had changed to one of fearful surprise before turning to a complicated face.
"...if Kyubi manages to break free...my village and family would be in danger?" well! She has doubts.
"That's right," I thoughtfully answered her.
"and if I don't become the next Jinchuriki I'll be dooming everyone back home won't I?" she asked me with a palpable frustration in her tone.
"I'm afraid so" well, not really.
Our clan specializes in seals and has a lot of experience in dealing with monsters recorded in its history. In the last 700 years, we gained a great deal of fame and money by taking care of most of the demons that plagued the eastern sea and its shores.
Maybe the Kyubi is <<powerful>> compared to other monsters, and I don't know what else. So if he were to break free and attack Uzushiogakure, it would take.... 10 minutes to seal him and imprison him in a scroll?
Maybe 5. In fox form, he's as big as a mountain, so they'd see it coming.
The reason Konoha has a Jinchuriki is for other reasons.
But Kushina doesn't know that.
"I still don't see you very convinced" she still doesn't change that <<I understand, but I don't want to do it>> face.
"Mito-sama, I understand that this is something necessary. It's just that... Why is it necessary for me to be in Konoha? Wouldn't it have been better to catch the fox and have the Jinchuriki stay in Uzushio?" That, unfortunately, was a good question. Although I had already prepared an answer.
"I'm afraid that's due to political matters" Kushina was not very satisfied with that answer, "you see, sweetness, currently there is a balance of power in the world between the villages of the major powers. For a long time the ninja villages that represent them have had some hostility towards each other for various reasons. When my husband was still alive, he captured all the Bijus and distributed them among all the villages as offerings so that there would be peace." There was also the part that these <<offerings>> caused a lot of chaos in those villages, and everyone interpreted that Hashirama set them up to destroy them from within, causing the first great ninja war to start because of him. But I'm going to keep that part to myself,
"If one of these villages loses its Jinchuriki, the imbalance of power it would cause could cause its destruction, more so in this day and age. That same thing almost happened when the second Hokage died" When Tobirama went to the Lightning country to sign a peace agreement, he was ambushed and killed by some guys called Ginkaku and Kinkaku. I don't know much about them, but I understand that Kumogakure hates them for all the chaos they caused in their country and the second great ninja war they provoked. That conflict forced them to lose the territories that now make up the young Bear Land and part of the Valley Country.
"The first great war was short but bad, the second was worse in comparison, and the current third war looks like it will last a long time. If Konoha falls our clan will be on its own against any who try to attack us. That is why it was determined that the Fire Country must deal with the responsibility of imprisoning the Kyubi."
"But Uzushigakure has already been in different wars for years and did well on its own! We don't need Konoha!" she replied as if to deny the need for this alliance.
"It was at war against small countries. But it would be very different if it faced any power" the amount of ninja, the resources, the power, even the connections, and alliances were on a very different level. It would simply be stupid to fight them if you were not another power.
Uzushi has been fine for now as it does not attract attention and goes unnoticed as a minor ally of the land of fire.
Another reason is that if Uzushiogakure were to keep the Kyuubi, then we would have a military force conspicuous enough to make the powers nervous. In that situation where we have Kumogakure to the north and Kirigakure to the southeast, we would not come out unscathed if either does something drastic.
Since the whirlpool country is basically a very large island, it gives the appearance of a weak country, and if as a reward for a successful invasion, we could get the Kyuubi. More than one country would undoubtedly try to go after it.
That's for one thing. There was also the fact that if one day the Kyubi managed to escape on his own, and he felt like destroying a village, that had better be Konoha and not Uzushi. If Konoha fell, there was always the option of switching allies.
Don't look at me like that. I was born and raised most of my life in Uzushigakure. My family and cherished memories are in that place. I accept that Konoha is a nice place and I know people I cherish here and would not want anything to happen to them. But if I had to choose between Uzushi or Konoha someday, don't think I would leave my home village aside. They just don't compare.
I mean, I lived 60 years in the swirling country before I married Hashirama and spent my last 50 years here.
I'm only here because of a political commitment and nothing else. If it were up to me, I would have taken my son when he was still a child and returned home years ago. Or even after Hashirama died, by that time our son Kenichi was already an adult and didn't need me as much.
"And why did they need an Uzumaki?" asked Kushina.
"That I know is because our clan possesses a Kekkei Genkai that gives us special chakra to fight creatures" I already wanted to get this over with, so I didn't want to beat around the bush anymore. "It's best if someone of Uzumaki blood is the Jinchuriki". The truth is that in the last few years, we did try to use someone from Konoha for the next Jinchuriki. Still, none were fit to stand up to the fox. ‘So many victims' memories of all those young men we tried to transfer to Kyubi went through my mind.
They wasted so much of my time and energy only to have every one of those guinea pigs end up in the hospital shortly after they started. Is it that no one in the higher-ups in Konoha was taught not to bother old people like me?
"special chakra? You mean the chakra chains?"
"Oh, you know them?" she was genuinely surprised. That's a secret technique. She shouldn't know it yet.
"Yes, I manifested them last week."
"you manifested them?" Now, she was incredulous.
"Yes, I was playing with my friends in the forest, I fell down a slope and when I wanted to grab onto something a glowing chain came out of my chest, it attached itself to a branch and kept me from falling."
Oh~~, now I understand why she's going to be the Jinchuriki. If she manifested them so young, then she is the best choice. "I see."
"But Mito-sama, you said someone with Uzumaki blood was best, didn't you?" Is it just me, or does it seem like this girl wants to find every excuse possible not to contain the Kyubi?" "If you were married, then couldn't your children take my place?"
"I had a son, but he died long ago."
"Oh," she said, realizing she said something she shouldn't, "...so grandchildren?"
"I have two grandchildren," the hopes of one left flashed in her eyes, "but one died recently in the war," and the hope changed to regret when she realized she had stepped on a bomb. "The other is fine, but they think she's too old to be a viable option."
Tsunade is 27, along with a boyfriend 3 years younger than her. The truth is that I became a Jinchuriki around 60, but that was a mere desperate measure, and now Konoha wanted to have a young Jinchuriki to use in the war. Besides, I doubt I could live that long to see a great-grandson of Tsunade.
"....." Kushina now remained silent as she clenched her fists. She should have understood by now that she won't be able to wriggle out of this. "Mito-sama.... do you really think I will be able to contain that demon?" she sounded discouraged. It was like someone who already anticipated failure in something important.
"Yes, I have left notes and advice to the village. They will help you if you have any problems" she didn't seem to improve when I replied. She just sat there clenching her fists tightly until her whole body seemed to shake as a result.
".... I'm scared" she finally confessed what she was holding back. I guess it was to be expected.
" ow~, little one" I opened my arms to signal her to come closer. She did and rested her head on my lap as I stroked her red locks.
I used to do this with my son Kenichi and Tsunade when they were Kushina's age. I didn't think I would ever do it again.
"I know you might be scared. You are getting a big responsibility very suddenly, and that would scare anyone" she turned her head a little to look me in the eyes, "I won't say it's simple, but there are ways to deal with that silly fox," I said thinking about those good and pleasant encounters with him.
"Really? Which ones?" a tender voice asked me with gentleness, and a newly recovered mood reached my ears.
...................... Whoops.
Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. What did I do? Why did I say that part?
I said too much, and now she won't stop looking at me with those beady eyes in hope. Stop it!
Damn, my first plan to tell my replacement in a very roundabout way about the good oral sex the Kyubi can give slipped out unintentionally.
'I must find an answer to that and fast. I can't tell that truth to an 8-year-old girl... or can I?' I was trying to come up with a solution as I felt the pressure a pair of little violet eyes gave me with their gaze.
"see-you'll see Kushina the best way to deal with the Kyubi is ...." Come on, Mito, say something believable "...the...love" okay, I blew it.
When I heard myself say something so stupid, it had already occurred to me to say that it was a joke and say something else.
"Really?" The young deluded voice of Kushina, along with the way she looked with innocent surprise, was something I didn't expect. She believed it?
"... yeah... yeah, that's right" It seems she believed me about that love thing. Better work with that.
"How does that work?"
"you see, the Kyuubi is a being of hate" ok, I think this might work. Now I need to use my <<sweet inner granny>> and try to be convincing," He is something that is attracted to negative emotions and can plant evil in people's hearts," or at least that's what I read in a book, "he might try to take control of you through the hate in your heart." However, he never did that with me, and there are a lot of people I hate. Like councilman Isao, that fucking bastard who thought he didn't notice how he always saw my ass in my time of beauty, "that's why having a life full of love is a very effective way to keep him at bay" I used my sweetest and kindest smile to make her believe me.
"So the secret is love, uh?" She stopped looking at me and laid her head back on my lap.
For a while, I went back to stroking her head for a bit while she just lay there 'ah~, children. So young, sweet, and easy to fool.'

[the present]
A couple of days ago, Kushina had told Tsunade about her conception problem. She understood and had asked her to give her a sperm sample from Minato. She also had her undergo an ultrasound to see the state of her reproductive organs.
After 2 days after she had done what the Senju asked, the Uzumaki was summoned to find out the results.
When Kushina went to see Tsunade in her office at the central hospital in Konoha village, she took a moment to look around. That day seemed pretty normal by her standards. The nurses and doctors were attending to all the day's patients, finding nothing critical or urgent. The place was a little hectic, but it wasn't crazy. On the other hand, as she moved further into a section further away from the typical reception area, she found fewer and fewer people around her. Kushina was entering a part reserved for critical patients or those who were important in one way or another.
Stopping in front of the director's office, Kushina knocked on the door to announce her arrival. No response was heard, so she just walked in without seeing Tsunade anywhere.
There were only medical books and various files on a bookcase on the wall, a desk, and 3 chairs (1 Tsunade's and most likely 2 for visitors). There were few decorations beyond the plant growing next to the window with the curtains closed.
Without Tsunade here, Kushina unabashedly entered that office, took a candy from a desk drawer that the Senju kept next to her emergency sake, and made herself comfortable in one of the chairs to wait for the woman to arrive.
*tikitik, tikitik, tikitik, tikitik, tikitik*.
It didn't happen before she tapped her fingers on the table... yes, she wasn't known for being very patient.
After 10 or 15 minutes, the door behind her opened. Kushina turned to look behind her and found Tsunade entering the room.
"You took your time, dattebane," the redhead said, disguising her nerves and impassivity a bit.
"Sorry, I wanted to make sure there were no mistakes," the blonde said with a slightly discouraged touch, which the Uzumaki noticed (and also got a little worried). It didn't look like the usual tired and annoyed attitude the Senju usually had during working hours.
"Tell me, did everything go well?" she asked, a bit curious "Minato doesn't have any problems with.... his <<potential>>, does he? " asked the redhead, trying to be as subliminal as possible.
" No, Minato's semen doesn't show any kind of deficiency or infertility. It's perfectly healthy," said the blonde with what seemed to be a lump in her throat, her look showed seriousness and concern. Kushina knew that kind of behavior. It's as if she was about to deliver some bad news and didn't know exactly how to do it, "The reason why you're not managing to conceive a baby is..." she fell into a pause "...is that your uterus doesn't seem to be in a condition to have them." The news hit the redhead like several buckets of cold water had fallen on her.
".... huh?" a garbled sound was all that came from the Uzumaki's lips. "W-wh-wh-what do you mean?" the Uzumaki asked, perhaps refusing to understand the situation.
"From what her ultrasound shows, the wound on your stomach is the impediment," hearing that made Kushina reflexively move a hand towards her stomach, just above her scar.
With the action of touching it, the young girl's mind recalled the day she got it.
"b-but isn't that possible? " The redhead said in denial, "The Kyuubi Chakra healed me, and even the doctors who checked me and found nothing...even the scar is higher than my belly area." She began to speak, acting as if the Tsunade herself had made a mistake in her diagnosis.
"In the middle of a war and with wounded shinobi raining down on our hands all the time, doctors can't afford to do a thorough and detailed examination. We will examine you as fast as we can. If we don't find anything relevant, we will just tell you that you are fine and move on to the next patient " explained the Senju with some resignation in her voice. In wars, there have been cases of shinobi deaths for not giving them a more detailed examination. Even she carried that kind of death in her medical conscience. "About the wound, I can theorize that the damage to your uterus may be due to the angle of penetration. The shape of the weapon that the kunai was imbued with chakra in some kind of Jutsu, or even that you made some sudden movement while you still had the weapon inside you. Due to the Kyubi's healing, I can't know the reason 100%. I'm not even surprised that no one noticed this until now."
Kushina felt shattered at that moment. Her head was down without even looking at the doctor.
"Is there anything you can do, surgery, any medication or therapy?" she asked, her voice somewhat cracked, looking for a glimmer of hope.
"I want to do some further tests, maybe with surgery or other treatments I can help you," said the blonde, to which the Uzumaki just nodded her head.
With that decided, Kushina followed the Sannin around the hospital to perform those tests.
Tsunade performed everything herself and personally to make sure there was confidentiality.
When the tests were finished, the Senju told her that in about 3 days, she would have the results. So she sent her home.
Kushina walked thoughtfully through the streets of Konoha, touring the residential area where her house was located. Even though many families lived around there, as it was a little late most people were at work or school, leaving the place silent and deserted.
She didn't expect her problems in having children to be because of her, 'and here I was thinking, what would I say to Minato if the problem was him.... okay Kushina, just calm down. This is a minor mishap. Tsunade is the best doctor in the world, and it won't be long before she finds a solution.
"Hey, you don't play like that!" Kushina heard a child's voice to her left.
Turning her head to look at that voice, she spotted a small group of children playing in a nearby park. They seemed relatively small, so they must not yet be old enough to enter school.
They seemed to be playing catch, running, and laughing as one tried to catch up with them.
Kushina unconsciously put her hand to her belly, 'When this all settles, what kind of kid will you be?' she asked no one specifically, watching from a distance as the kids played, overlapping their appearances for a second with others. She saw one of them and did not take long to imagine him blond, 'would you inherit your father's appearance, blond with a pair of blue eyes' the Uzumaki saw another, but this time seeing in her mind a little boy with red hair like hers, 'or maybe you could inherit my hair color? it wouldn't be bad if the population of redheads in the village increased' a serene smile appeared on her lips.
The same happened when her eyes fell on the girls who were also playing, 'if you were a girl...I don't think I had even thought about that. what would it be like?' thinking about what a daughter would be like, the Uzumaki began to combine trait after trait in her mind of herself and her husband.
A little Kushina with blue eyes and a calm, gentle demeanor like her father.
An unruly and very energetic blonde who may even show a strong temper like her mother.
Kushina also did the same thinking of a male child. 'Maybe you'll even inherit my verbal tic.' An excited expression came over her as she imagined a little boy saying things like: Dattebaru, dattedenko, dattema, and things like that.
Feeling better, Kushina resumed her walk home. Gone was her depressed aura, and now there was only a certain excitement of someday seeing the fruit of her love and her husband.
Raising him and watching him grow up. They might have some problems, but even Kushina was also a little troublemaker at a young age.
Train him and teach him everything she could. 'He or she will definitely be a master at seals like his ancestors and me, ' she said to herself. Seals and fuinjutsu ran through her family's veins, and they will also run through her descendants.
She saw that she would be a great ninja and do great things in the future. She had no doubts.
"I know we will meet dattebane," she murmured with an optimistic attitude towards the future.
