Author's note: So, erm, I'm having way too much fun writing this particular universe, so this is going to be a three shot instead of a two shot. Any objections to that? (You're out of luck if there are any, sorry). Also master classes are kind of kicking my butt in the energy department and I don't want to half arse certain scenes, so there you have it: a three shot instead of a two shot, because what else is new?

Part 2
"I do think this belongs to you, does it not?" Sasuke said casually, throwing the bloodied dagger onto the futon.
It landed towards the foot end of it, forcing the Omega to reach over in order to grab it. Blue eyes flickered towards him before a slender arm quickly shot out from behind the blanket, intending on grabbing the dagger.
Sasuke was quicker, of course, he always was and he halted right in front of the futon, grasping the thin wrist, eliciting a quiet gasp.
"You gave that bastard a nasty surprise, I imagine. You did very well," he praised and his eyes lit up in response.
"Alpha, Sasuke," Naruto sighed; all the tension abruptly leaving his body as he nuzzled Sasuke's stomach through his shirt, wriggling himself out of the blanket to get closer to the older man.
"I'm here, I promised I'd find you on time, didn't I?" Sasuke murmured, running his hands through blond strands. Their golden colour seemed even more pronounced now that it was slightly matted with sweat already; Naruto's heat pushing his body into overdrive.
"Three years," Sasuke continued and Naruto hastily shuffled backwards when the Alpha knelt down onto the futon. "And now we're finally here."
The second he had laid eyes on the blue eyed boy three years ago, he had known there was no turning back. Those blue eyes – the colour of sapphire, of a summer blue sky with not a single cloud to be seen – had arrested him that day in the forest and had refused to let him go ever since.
Naruto had not yet turned fourteen back then, frolicking about the river side on a hot day in the midst of the seventh month. It had been pure happenstance that Sasuke had encountered him that day. He and his closest soldiers had gone further into the woods, inspecting their surroundings before they would set up camp. They had explored the boundaries, researching which town would form a threat towards theirs and which ones could be allies.
Leaving his confidants behind underneath the shade of a large tree, Sasuke himself had continued following the river; enjoying the coolness that the running water brought with it. When he had turned his head to the left, he'd seen him: a blond boy, slender and small, dressed in nothing but a tunic, walking alongside the border of the river, searching for something. The boy had had his nose practically buried into the ground, but something must have alerted him, for his head had suddenly shot up and he and Sasuke had locked eyes.
For a long moment neither of them had dared to move, staring each other down. Blue eyes had flicked to the katana strapped to his side and in that instance Sasuke had realised he had less than a few seconds to keep the boy grounded, watching him getting ready to flee.
"Wait, I mean no harm!" he called out, raising his hands in the air. The slenderness of the boy made it hard to guess how old he was: he could be ten, he could be eighteen. Something about him, though, maybe the look in his eyes, maybe the way he was posed to spring away at the slightest sign of danger, intrigued Sasuke, made him long to be closer to the boy.
A sentiment he had not experienced before and which left him frankly baffled.
"You're not from here," the boy retorted suspiciously; balling his hands into fists. "I've never seen you around."
"No, you haven't," Sasuke admitted readily; anything to keep the boy here. "I'm from the north. My comrades and I were travelling around when we found ourselves in these woods. We're planning on setting up camp a bit further."
"Are you planning on staying here?" Some of the wariness left the boy, though he still remained firmly guarded.
Instead of offended, Sasuke could only approve of such a stance. It was good to see that the boy wasn't terribly naïve – even if he remained talking to someone he did not know. It was to Sasuke's benefit, however, so he was loathe to point it out.
"Not permanently," Sasuke replied. "But for a little while, yes. Can I have your name? You're the first person I've encountered in these woods."
The boy cocked his head to the left, squinting. "Naruto," he answered after a pause. "What's yours?"
He smiled faintly. "Sasuke."
They had got to know each other better in the weeks following that encounter. Sasuke had come to learn that Naruto had never been taught how to read or write or even how to calculate; a fact which had left him perplexed, because which boy didn't know how to at least calculate? Even a farmer boy would have to know the basics, if only to not get cheated on the market.
He'd received the answer when one midday, Naruto had accidentally spilt some soup on his shirt. He'd stepped out of the circle to dip his shirt into the water of the nearby creek quickly and Sasuke had been the only one to catch the odd brand on his stomach. It hadn't taken him long to realise that Naruto was an Omega, the Seal on his belly the proof of it. At once his illiteracy received a reason, a reason which had filled Sasuke with revulsion.
He had heard about this custom before, if you could call it that. About towns and villages fortunate enough to have an Omega in their midst keeping the Omega away from any kind of schooling, because it was thought to be unnecessary. Why teach an Omega how to read and write when all they would need to do was open their legs to the highest bidder? They were treated as nothing more than glorified whores, a status symbol with enough value to be traded into the hands of the highest bidder.
Very few Omega were allowed the dignity of choosing their own partner.
Sasuke had easily been able to picture what would happen once Naruto was old enough: he would be handed over to the highest bidder, the person who could give the village something of high value in return. Perhaps he would be traded for money, maybe for protection. Maybe to seal a deal between two villages.
And he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Nobody would give him the choice, the chance to refuse. His fate had been sealed the very moment the village had discovered the brand on his belly.
He couldn't even count on his parents to protect him from this ugly fate. He'd been left an orphan after his parents had unexpectedly passed away; poisoning, Naruto had told him, abusing his lower lip something fierce. Apparently they had accidentally swallowed something poisonous, even though everyone who had known them claimed the couple had known their way around plants. An accident could always happen, though.
Sasuke's gut feeling told him their deaths hadn't been so innocent, not with their son being an Omega, and his gut feeling had never failed him before. It wouldn't do much to tell the younger boy about his suspicions, though; it would only hurt him further and the dark haired Alpha was oddly reluctant to heap even more hurt onto the Omega.
That didn't mean he wasn't eager to change things, however. He had started by teaching Naruto how to read and write, leaving the calculus part up to Jugo as the broad shouldered man was much better in explaining how mathematics worked exactly. Karin for her part had taken delight in teaching Naruto how to dance. She was one of the best soldiers Sasuke had had the good fortune to meet, but she also had a fascination with all sorts of dances, claiming it felt freeing to whirl around with someone.
Sasuke had no idea what she meant with that, but he couldn't deny it made for an entertaining sight, watching from a distance how she patiently had showed Naruto all the steps they would need to get through for this or that dance. There had been something mesmerizing about the way those blue eyes would lit up the very moment Naruto would understand the dance rhythm; his joy infectious as he'd started dancing with more confidence.
Even Suigetsu had been helpless to what Karin had come to refer to as Naruto's charms: doing his own part to teach Naruto the ropes of their world so to speak. He'd taught him how to defend himself, how to use a dagger properly without risking harming himself. The day Naruto had come close to actually cutting Sasuke during one of their rare sparring matches, Sasuke had gifted him with his own dagger, having felt stupidly proud of someone who'd nearly sliced his cheek apart.
He'd been helpless to resist him from the very start, though. The second their eyes had met, there that day at the river, Sasuke had been bewitched. Only Naruto's utter and complete innocence, bordering on pure naivety, had made Sasuke certain that no real magic had actually been used on him.
He had resisted that tug between them, though. Naruto had been so young, too young for any real commitment. Even when it had become clear that Naruto was just as much interested as Sasuke was, Sasuke had kept his distance, unwilling to cross the flimsy boundaries which had still rested between them. That had been easy at first, as Naruto had obviously been confused about his own feelings.
As the weeks had turned into months, however, and their meetings had remained regular in spite of the many travelling Sasuke and his men did, it had become clear that Naruto's innocence would only last so long. The day he had turned sixteen and had crawled into Sasuke's tent when the sun hadn't even risen yet, his slender body squirming against the Alpha's, soft lips pressing clumsy kisses to his cheek, steadily inching closer and closer to his mouth, Sasuke had almost snapped. It would have been so easy to grab the Omega by his hips, flip them around and tug his trousers down. Naruto would have welcomed him, he knew, would have been eager for it, his hips already raised up, ready to accept Sasuke's cock even when his body hadn't finished fully maturing yet.
It would have been so easy … And it had taken every last bit of restraint Sasuke had had in him to push Naruto away and storm out of his tent before he would do something they would later come to regret.
Naruto hadn't been happy about that. He'd followed Sasuke straight out of the tent, furious tears in his eyes, cheeks red with humiliation, as he'd ranted at the Alpha for deceiving him, snapping that he should have been clear from the start then that he didn't return Naruto's feelings instead of making him think he had a chance.
"I never said I didn't return your feelings, you fool!" Sasuke snapped back, equally as heated; mad and frustrated at himself, irritated by the situation. He couldn't give in, however, no matter how much he would like to.
"Then what was that all about?" Naruto exclaimed, waving agitatedly at the direction of the tent, even when hope started to fill his eyes. "I want you, you want me – it's easy!"
"You're still too young," Sasuke growled and stalked away, putting more distance between them for the sake of his sanity. "You're not seventeen yet, I won't be like those men lacking morals and lay my hands on you now."
Naruto deflated; his fists uncurling to hang loosely at his sides. "But I can't wait," he muttered.
"One more year is not that long," Sasuke riposted dryly. "We'll keep seeing each other in the meantime, I promise, but I want to wait until - "
"I won't have that time," Naruto interrupted him bluntly and for the first time since they had come to know each other, there was a raw edge of desperation audible in his voice.
"Of course you have time," Sasuke said befuddled, frowning. "We've been able to meet up these past two years, haven't we? One more year will have passed sooner than you know."
Naruto started pacing back and forth, leaving Sasuke to stare at him. For all his high energy, Naruto's behaviour now really confused him, because he was radiating absolute misery – a sharp contrast to the shy eagerness he'd displayed not even five minutes ago in the tent.
"They think I'm too dumb or deaf or so, but I've heard them talking," Naruto started out of the blue, his pacing quickening as his hands wrung themselves together. "Danzo – the town's leader, you know him – he's, he's made some kind of deal with a man in the town. A deal about – about me." He stuttered at the last part, stumbling over his words, but they were enough to have Sasuke see red instantly.
"What kind of deal?" he asked lowly, barely keeping his anger in check. No deal with Naruto in the equation could be a good one, not when it came from the wretched minds of that village.
Naruto stopped pacing and bit down on his lip. "They – Danzo promised me to the man in exchange for him offering his services to nobody else but the village. He – he – I heard him say that as soon as my first heat starts, he'll lock me up and the man can take me as his then. I don't want that! I don't want some strange man, I want you! You said I was nobody's property but my own, but I won't even be that anymore in a year! I can't wait another year, he'll give me away then, you – you …" He trailed off, choking in his own words as he obviously tried to tamp down on the hysteria threatening to take over.
Sasuke was right in front of him before he could start losing his mind, enclosing him in a fierce hug. Resting his lips against Naruto's ear, he whispered, "I won't allow any of them to hurt you, you hear me? One more year and I'll take you away from there, I promise. I won't let them lay one finger on you, I swear."
"But why can't I go with you now?" Naruto asked, his voice thick with unshed fears as he fastened his hands into Sasuke's shirt, pressing his face into his shoulder. "Please, take me with you!"
"One more year and you'll be considered an adult; their wretched guardianship will be over then and they won't be able to keep you there." Sasuke gently pushed him away to frame his face with his hands, keeping Naruto's head lifted up so that he had to look him in the eyes. "I have no problems waging war for you, but if I can take you away from there without any unnecessary bloodshed, so much the better. I swear to you that on this day next year, I will be there to take you away and you won't ever have to see that village again. One more year and we can start our lives without remaining in the shadows, I promise."
"Okay, one more year," Naruto agreed, calming down visibly. Concern briefly flashed up in his eyes. "But will you still want me next year?"
Sasuke couldn't help but laugh and kissed Naruto's forehead; a substitution for the place he really desired to kiss. "Have no fear; time will do nothing but strengthen my feelings for you."
Back then he hadn't foreseen that the months following their conversation would be filled with nothing but battle after battle when certain villages and towns had decided that they would try to overthrow the Uchiha clan and lay claim on their territory. Sasuke, his older brother and their father had spent months felling one enemy after the other, taking away riches of the places which collapsed underneath their might to ensure that they wouldn't be able to hire or start up a new army soon.
Mighty as the clan with its warriors was, the many battles left even them winded and exhausted and they couldn't afford towns banding together to raise a new army.
Throughout it all he had painstakingly kept track of the date, unwilling to make a mistake that could cost Naruto's freedom and future happiness. When he had arrived tonight only to discover Naruto's pitiful home alarmingly empty, he'd been absolutely furious, terrified that he'd been too late after all.
He'd been willing to spare the village as Naruto had made it clear that not everybody was aware that he was an Omega. Only the leader and the vile man attempting to take what was his would have needed to suffer. But then one guard after the other had surrounded them and the first arrow shot at Shisui from one of the highest roofs had been the sign for hell to be unleashed.
Sasuke had wanted to be merciful, but there was only so much mercy he could find within him when the man he had come to love was in danger.
"It's a good thing that they're so full of themselves that they never thought to check you for weapons," he remarked idly, contemplating the dagger once more before he lifted it from the futon and placed it next to it on the floor.
Of course they wouldn't have thought to check Naruto for any concealed weapons. He was after all just an Omega – what did Omega know about weapons and how to use them? Unfortunately for them, this particular Omega had come to know a lot about them.
"A good thing you gave it to me," Naruto corrected before he reached out and tugged impatiently at Sasuke's shirt, fussing with the fabric. "I need you, please, you promised you'd be mine now!"
"I did promise that, didn't I?" Sasuke mused. His face darkened a tad when he asked lowly, "Did they touch you anywhere?"
Immediately Naruto shook his head and snatched Sasuke's hand, pressing it between his legs, right where he felt wet; his entrance already smeared with slick, so felt it. "No, no, nobody touched me, I swear. This is only for you, I waited for you," he muttered almost feverishly, moaning when he rocked into Sasuke's palm, seeking out that much needed pressure.
Clearly his heat was starting to get a hold on him more and more and it wouldn't be long anymore before Naruto would be entirely lost to it, Sasuke knew. First heats were supposedly always the most intense, lasting up to several days usually. It was why he had wanted to be here before Naruto's heat would really break through, so that he could whisk him away on time.
No matter, they would take off the edge here, get Naruto settled enough so that they could move away and spend the rest of his heat in a safe place.
Before they could continue, however, he needed to make something clear first. "If you don't want to continue with this, you have to tell me now, Naruto," he warned firmly and pulled his hand away so that Naruto would have to listen to him.
It earned him a whine and a put out huff, Naruto trying to snatch his hand back, but the Alpha simply shook his head and grasped both his wrists tightly, forcing the blond to settle and listen. He was subjected to a heated glower, Naruto clearly not happy with being interrupted, but he stopped struggling.
"Did you hear me? If you don't want to continue this, you have to say so now," Sasuke repeated, keeping their eyes locked. "I'm not going to touch you if you're not ready. I'll take you somewhere safe then and Karin will take care of you in the meantime."
"I don't want Karin to take care of me," Naruto complained, shimmying closer. "I want you to take care of me." His blue eyes grew half lidded, his voice gaining a huskier note that had Sasuke's cock hardening.
"So you want to continue this?" Sasuke implored. "I need you to say it aloud, Naruto."
Heat or not, he wouldn't take advantage of Naruto, especially not in the vulnerable state he was in now. Yes, they had been waiting at least a year for this moment – but Sasuke didn't need to share his heat in order to spend the rest of his life with him.
"Yes, I want to continue this!" Naruto exclaimed frustrated and he started to struggle against Sasuke's hold anew. "I want you to fuck me, I want you in me, I want you to share my heat and become mine! I'm ready! Is that clear enough for you?!"
"Someone's impatient," Sasuke clucked, but he couldn't deny his own desire any longer and released Naruto's wrists.
The Omega's face lit up, before his delight turned into confusion as Sasuke settled a bit further away from him.
The dark smirk gracing his lips had Naruto noticeably shivering. "If you're ready for me – why don't you show it then? Show me how ready you are."
