As Hinata left Naruto, he made a shadow clone and it henged in to a grasshopper. The shadow clone then jumped onto her back and moved down into the hood on her jacket. As he walked along the wall of the of the district he made a few more clones henged into other varied incests. The clones henged so quickly that no one had been able to notice what he was doing. Naruto continued walking and halfway home he suddenly stopped and looked toward the roof of a nearby building and started waving. No the average citizen, he was bonkers, they wouldn't have noticed the ANBU that was standing on the rooftop mere moments ago. The same two ANBU that were laying down so maybe Naruto didn't know who they were.
"Hey, Cat-chan! Boar-kun! Come on down, just walk with me, you don't have to be up there all of the time.
The two ANBU just looked at each other and sweatdropped. "You know, he has a point, Boar-kun.", Cat-chan said.
"I am not Boar-kun, just Boar." he growled. "We are supposed to watch him from after, not walk with him."
"He knows we are following him and he even knows that it is us! What could be the harm? Our orders don't say how far.", she replied.
"I'm pretty close to you two now.", Naruto interjected surprising the two ANBU. They turned their heads and saw Naruto squatting right beside them.
Boar got up and looked back down at the ground and saw Naruto still down there waving and turned back to the Naruto standing beside the now standing Cat, that Naruto started waving back at him, which cause him to sweatdrop again.
"Which one is the real one and which one is the clone?"
As if to answer the Naruto on the street 'poofed' out of existence and the Naruto on the roof grinned really big.
"Come on, Cat-chan, walk with me. Boar-kun is just a meanie.", Naruto said then he stuck his tongue out at Boar. Naruto grabbed her hand and jump off the roof bringing her with him. He let go after they both reached street level.
Naruto looked back at the roof and saw Boar still up there and he turned to walk home. Cat came to him and began to walk with him in the empty street.
"I'm glad you didn't jump back up there and decided to walk with me, Yūgao-chan."
"What? How, do you know my name?", the ANBU asked not able to completely cover her shock at this revelation.
Naruto turned to her and said, "You don't remember when I ran into you on the Fourth Hokage's head and you were Moon watching?"
"How did you know that that person and the person beside you now were the same person?"
"Oh, that's easy, both people felt the same, and the voices were the same too."
"How do you know that it was us that were following you and not the other two."
"Ha, Ha."
What's funny?"
"You said, 'other two.'"
"Yes."
Naruto stopped and faced her, she stopped and turned to look at him, "There are six teams of two that have been following me for as long as I can remember, you take 6 hours shifts, alternating teams. When there are important events the teams double up so there are four people watching, but you stay in pairs and work separate from each other. On my birthday there are three teams watching and you switch to a 12 hours shift."
Yūgao was amazed at the information that Naruto had just given her. "Who told you that?", she asked
"No one, I know from observing you, the you that were observing me."
She had greatly underestimated this kid. This goof that everyone put down. If he could observing all of that and they not notice, then he should be out of the academy and in the ANBU himself, he could teach her a few things.
"Well, my apartment is across the street, I'll let you get up there and join Boar-kun." her said looking at her and thumbing back over his shoulder pointing his thumb exactly at Boar. Boar seemed to notice that the thumb was pointed at him and he slid sideways and as if proving his point, Naruto twisted his wrist so his thumb stayed pointing at Boar as Boar moved sideways.
"I'll see you later, Naruto."
"Latter Cat-chan! By the way, if your a gambler, you should bet on me during the final match agaist Neji. I have a feeling that there might be an upset.", Naruto said as he took off across the street.
Under her mask she began to grin as she made a mental note to find a bookie after her shift.
