The Uchiha fell silent again, staring at his hands. He looked lost for a moment, not really himself. "I …. I just want him back," he said, softly, "I want to hold him again and I can't stand not knowing what is happening to him."
Naruto scooted closer and put his arm around his friend's shoulders. "We will get him back and bring him here."
Tsunade glared at the paper work on her desk. "Shit," she groaned, "I am never going to get all of this done."
Shizune looked at her boss and smiled. "Sure you will, Lady Tsunade," she said, "Just, stop taking breaks."
The Hokage glared at her assistant and started working again. She had gone through one stack when she was interrupted. "Granny!"
"Damnit, Naruto, I have told you not to call me that."
The blond laughed and sat on her desk. "Need your help," he said, "Kakashi is outside checking the wards and all that, so, when he gets in here, we will talk."
She glared at the younger ninja and went back to reading the paper in front of her. However, she barely got through the second paragraph before Kakashi and Sasuke appeared in her office. "What the hell is going on!" she shouted.
"It's clear, Naruto."
Naruto nodded. "I have a plan to get Itachi back here," he said, "However; we need you to sign off on it and agree to hide the evidence."
Tsunade stared at him. "You know about Itachi?"
"Yeah, Sasuke teme finally told me."
She sighed and then looked at him.
"Go on."
"Send Hinata, Kakashi and I to the area to check out possible disturbances, and when Itachi is discovered, Sasuke, Neji and Shikamaru will be called from another pissant mission to help deal with an S-class nin that wields the Sharingan," he explained, "Sasuke says he knows where Itachi is kept and who took him from the Land of Waves."
She turned her gaze to Sasuke. "Who took him?" she asked, "Would this affect the village if they were found out?"
Sasuke nodded. "I believe our Council sent two ANBU to the Land of Waves to retrieve him," he said, "I can sense his chakra closer than normal and our bond is stronger."
"Very well, when do you want to leave?"
"Tomorrow, if possible," Naruto said, "He has been there for over a month."
"All right, I will write up two missions, one bogus and the other to investigate the area," Tsunade said, "I will have the other members both teams here within the hour, also, Ino will be going, in case you need a medic."
She paused, thinking. "Do not tell anyone what you are doing," she said, writing out the mission scrolls, "You are to leave the village tonight, separately, … Kakashi, I want two ANBU watching Sakura and the Council members, preferably Ibiki and Shikaku Nara, because if they did remove Itachi from the Land of Waves, then this could cause intervillage and country conflict."
Kakashi nodded. "I will return with those two and be ready to leave," he said and vanished.
Tsunade frowned. "Perhaps I should have sent Naruto to get them," she mumbled.
Sasuke laughed, then sobered quickly. "Naruto, let's get the others and get ready to leave," he said, "I…..I don't know if he can last much longer."
The Hokage looked up. "The last time you saw him, how was his health?"
"Better than it had been in a long time," Sasuke said, "His lungs were still bad, but, he had put on some weight and was able to start training again."
"Good, should make treating him easier," she said, "You convinced him to eat and relax, right?"
"I told him to," Sasuke corrected.
"Whatever!"
"Just making sure you have everything correct," Sasuke said, smirking at her, "Anyway, we shouldn't be gone that long, and do you want us to collect any evidence?"
Tsunade nodded, glaring at the younger man. "Whatever you can, to prove that the elders had something to do with this," she said, "You know, Uchiha, you're a complete jackass."
Said man nodded. "I know, I wear it well."
Naruto laughed. "Of course you do."
Tsunade rolled her eyes. "Just go and get ready," she said, "I want the information as soon as possible."
Both men nodded. Sasuke gave a sigh of relief. "He is finally going to come home."
Itachi glared at the ninja standing in front of him. "Do you really think he is going to give in to you?" he rasped, "My brother is stronger than that."
He closed his eyes as a fist slammed into his face. Shaking his head, Itachi smirked at his captor. "Why would beating me get Sasuke to do what you want?" he asked, "If he doesn't even know you are the ones who took me?"
"Little Itachi, surely, your brother is smarter than that?"
Itachi laughed. "Probably, however, you are forgetting one thing," he said, "You went into a foreign land to retrieve a nin that was under the protection of that country's daimyo … without the permission of said ruler or your Hokage, if he decides to fight you, the council and whomever else is involved are in a lot of trouble."
Itachi could see the hands clench into fists. He knew that they had not thought it out, the want for more Sharingan wielders was too great. He must have made the man really mad, because he received two kicks to his chest for his troubles. Wheezing, he stayed hunched over. "Shit….Sasuke….."

"Shit…Sasuke…"
Sasuke stopped and held his head. "Damn," he muttered, "They are hurting him again."
Naruto looked at his friend. "How can you tell?"
Sasuke looked straight at his friend. His left eye had begun to bleed. "I can feel him, he has opened up our bond more, I think he was trying to close it off as much as he could," he said, flinching in pain.
"Should we get Tsunade to look at your eye?"
"No, however, when he is well enough, I am going to let him have it for closing it," he mumbled, "With it open, I can take some of the pain from him… he was trying to protect me again."
He wiped the blood from his face. Shaking his head, he started walking again. "I hope this doesn't mess up the progress he has made," he said, "He hates feeling weak."
Naruto sighed. "Sounds like someone I know."
"Shut it, Dobe!"
"Hahahahaha!"

Itachi relaxed as he felt some of the pain fade. However, he could feel his brother's anger through their bond. Sasuke was angry with him. He was also angry at himself and the people holding Itachi. "Damn," he muttered, "I almost have enough chakra…..hopefully, they don't mess with the inhibitors again."
He looked at his hands and frowned. They had taken care to break a few fingers, to prevent him from forming the hand seals. Taking a deep breath, he winced when he heard rattling. "Sasuke.. hurry."

Tsunade was standing in her office, mission scrolls ready, when eight nin appeared. Ibiki and Shikaku stepped back, Shikaku giving Kakashi a nod. "All right, this is a recovery mission, disguised as some bullshit missions," she said, "Ibiki, Shikaku, you both will be monitoring the Council,… Sasuke, Neji, Shikamaru and Ino will be going to the village closest to the main local.. the elder of the village owes me a favor, Kakashi, Naruto and Hinata will be going straight to the main local."
She handed the mission scrolls to Sasuke and Naruto. "Once you have retrieved him, send me a message and I will tell you what to do from there," she said, "I need to make sure it will be safe for him to return."
They all nodded. "Naruto and Sasuke, collect as much evidence as you can and send it in a separate mission report," she said, "After that, just wait in the closest village for my instructions."
Everyone shook their heads. She nodded. "All right, you know your roles, go."
