Chapter 2-How It Starts

City Hidden In The Leafs

Uchiha Sasuke- 17 years old

Uzumaki Naruto- 17 years old

"The hell teme! Why did you have to go and ruin it!" Blue eyes full of rage stared at bored onyx ones, said person didn't reply but only raised an eyebrow. "You know in the hall, when you interrupted me and Sakura?" Well he didn't really interrupt but just happened to walk by and then she went all crazy for him. Uchiha Sasuke, the person he loathed, the person who pissed him off, the person he hated. Everything about that teen annoyed him in some way, whether it was the fact that he teen rarely talked and when he did it was usually an insult that was thrown at him or the fact he somehow starts an argument and get's the blonde riled up. "Teme..." Naruto mumbled and sat down in his seat, he sat next to the raven bastard, Sasuke was on his left and when they had to work in pairs that's when the fights erupted between them. Most of their lessons they sat next to each other because they usually are in alphabetical order of surnames. They worked on a two people per tables so there was no one else to work with. Mostly it was verbal but sometimes it did get physical. It was first period and they had Umino Iruka and he taught English.

"Alright everyone, this is the last week of school which means exams." They all groaned. "BUT, you have a choice; you either do your exam this lesson or have your exam next lesson."

"How about we don't do it at all?" Naruto asked.

"Silence Uzumaki you've been failing all your exams so far so I suggest you should start revising if you don't want to fail." The blonde heard some giggles at the back of the classroom and frowned. They decided to do the exam next lesson. "Alright everyone get out your Stone Cold(1) books and start reading from page 110" Iruka was interrupted by Naruto.

"What if you don't have it?"

"Then you share with the person next to you. Anyway I want you to read from page 110 to the end and then stop." Naruto looked on his right and there was no one else he could work with but the raven.

"No way. No way in hell." Naruto looked to his left to see that Sasuke was already reading and was hogging the book all to himself.

"Is there something wrong Naruto?" Iruka noticed the blond staring at his desk like there was something on it.

"The teme-"

"Language."

"Fine Sasuke won't share the book." The blonde spat Sasuke's name like it was venom. Iruka sighed and rubbed his temples.

"Sasuke would you be so kind and share your book with Naruto?" The raven's gaze turned to Naruto as both their eyes locked and what you would call a silent argument erupted between them, Naruto got impatient as the stupid teme still hadn't moved the book in the middle. The blonde parted his lips and spoke.

"Are you just going to stare or are you gonna move the book?" Sasuke pushed the book in the middle as both of them tried to read it, the class was silent and therefore Naruto found it awkward, he hated it when it was silent, he was usually surround by noise and disliked being outside his comfort zone, but I guess everybody does. His eyes roamed the classroom trying to find something interesting to stare at but his eyes came back to Sasuke. Stupid teme. He stared at the side of is face, that was revealed to him, he noticed a small bit of discolour underneath his eyes. He removed his gaze before the raven could notice he was staring at him but missed that Sasuke's eyes turned to the side a little bit before moving back to the book.

"Alright you've had enough time as it is; I want you to discuss what you think the moral of this story is." Everyone started discussing while two pupils sat together just staring at the book, Naruto was the first to open his mouth as always.

"Well I don't know just a bunch of kids being homeless." Naruto grabbed the book and started flicking through it.

"It's not surprising." For the first time that day Sasuke spoke.

"What's not surprising?" Naruto leaned back on his chair.

"That you don't know." The raven answered, his voice was calm and relaxed but his face was completely emotionless.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Naruto leaned back, dropping the book on the table.

"Well your mouth is probably bigger than your brain." Naruto didn't let it effect him, but he did get a little bit angry.

"And your ego is probably bigger than your dick."

Awkward.

Naruto mentally slapped himself on the head, one thing about Naruto is that his mouth seems to say things without him even realizing it and he instantly regretted it when he saw a smirk plastered on the raven's face. Naruto fake coughed and changed the subject.

"So what do you think Einstein?"

"The story is about homelessness and how is affects people."

"No shit." Naruto commented sarcastically.

"And you shouldn't consider it an option so easily."

"Next I want you to complete this worksheet together" Iruka ordered and started handing out papers while some pupils groaned. Naruto took the paper and looked over it before putting the paper down.

"Yeah, here you go." Naruto passed the paper towards Sasuke. The raven looked at it and looked back at Naruto. "I don't know the answers."

"You really are a moronic idiot."

"And your such a cocky, arrogant teme!" Naruto stood up grabbing everyone's attention.

"Naruto, sit back down an-" Iruka was interrupted by the sound of the bell, Naruto grabbed his bag angrily and stormed out the room to second period, he really did have a short temper.

Finally break had arrived; Naruto went on to the field and sat down with his group of friends. There was Kiba, Sai, TenTen, Gaara, Temari (who was one year older than him), Shikamaru, Chouji, Neji and Lee.

"Ah, one week left until the summer holidays I can't wait!" A grin appeared on Temari's face.

"I know I have so much planned." TenTen commented.

"Well my summer's going to be boring as usual." Naruto never had interesting holidays he slept most of the times and found school much more enjoyable.

"So dickless, got anything planned?" Sai smiled well fake smiled.

"I told you to stop calling me that Sai." Naruto sighed he hated that nickname it was annoying as well as embarrassing.

"But Naruto I'm only telling the truth, you are dickless." Sai said so casually. He heard some giggling from the girls and a snicker from Kiba.

"Shut up Sai."

"Have you ever seen a show called Balls of steel?" Kiba interrupted and Sai smirked.

"No."The blonde replied.

"Well it's a show where people men or women do really embarrassing things to show they have balls of steel, once this girl was interviewing celebrities using dildos as microphones and another was this guy stapled his tongue to show he's got balls of steel." Kiba explained.

"So?" Kiba and Sai looked at each other while the rest of them (apart from Shikamaru who was sleeping) looked confused.

"I'll stop calling you dickless IF you do something really embarrassing." Sai had a devilish smirk on his face.

"What?" Naruto's looked at them suspiciously. He watched as they all started whispering all to each other leaving the blonde in suspense. The whispers disappeared as Kiba had a massive grin on his face.

"We've decided."

"Yeah so?"

"You have to...slap Sasuke's ass."

"WHAT THE FUCK?" Naruto shouted, no way was he going to do that.

"Fine, so your going to back away from a challenge and prove to us that you ain't got balls of steel." Kiba saw Naruto's anger die down a bit.

"Isn't that a bit gay?" Naruto asked.

"I'll stop calling you dickless." Naruto actually considered it, he hated the nickname. He shook his head.

"No." Naruto answered.

"Fine I'll call you no balls as well as dickless." Naruto sighed in defeat; Sai really had a way to get to him.

"This is going to be troublesome." Shikamaru mumbled and fell back down on the grass. Gaara just sat there staring at the grass but was interested in what Naruto was going to do. Neji sighed as he thought they were all being immature. Lee said something about being youthful and exploring options. Chouji just kept on eating while Temari and TenTen grinned at Naruto.

"Fine." He heard some of them mumbled something but choose to ignore it. "It's going to be so embarrassing." The bell rang signalling them to their next lesson, Naruto didn't see Sasuke his next lesson, but he did see him in his fourth period. He sighed as he got up and grabbed his shoulder bag. He somehow guessed this was going to be a long day.

Third period was boring, it was maths and it was taught by Kurenai-sensei. Naruto and maths didn't get along, what the hell was Pythagoras? He stared at the board trying to pay attention but he had a short attention span, he got bored so easily, probably one of the reasons he's failing so badly. He really needed a tutor. He rested his head on the desk trying to figure out his master plan to try and slap the teme's ass. Oh god, he sounded more ludicrous in his head, and just imagining what would happen afterwards, Naruto shivered remembering a physical fight he had gotten in with the teme. He couldn't remember what it was about but everyone said it was a petty argument; it got really bad that another student got injured. Heh, well they would if they had a flying chair hit them.

Before he had realized it he had fell asleep. Naruto yawned as someone shook him awake to tell him the bell had rang, he grabbed his things and left the classroom prepared for what was about to happen next. Sai and Kiba were in his next class as well, which made it ten times worse, just imagining their reactions would make the situation more embarrassing than it already was. Why did he agree to it again? Ah, yes he wanted Sai to stop calling him dickless. What a stupid reason to do something as embarrassing as this. He knew Sasuke would kill him; no he would torture him then kill him. Just images of Sasuke with devil horns and a pitchfork chasing Naruto down the street, what a lovely image that was. It wasn't that he was scared of what would happen afterwards, it was that he was uncomfortable about what would happen between.

His next lesson was lifeskills with Hatake Kakashi. Kakashi was a in the closet pervert well speaking about it he actually isn't all that in the closet. He reads a porno book in front of the class and once Naruto asked him what he was reading, so the pervert decided to read a couple of pages from the book and fully explained what they meant. It was a lifeskills lesson, not a 'destroy our innocent minds' lesson, but apparently he found it amusing, at least someone was finding it enjoyable.

The good thing was the blonde didn't sit next to him, he sat in front of him they sat on singular tables, it wasn't much of a difference but still it was better than sitting next to him. He stood outside the door deciding whether or not he should go in. He held his head high and walked in. He sat in his seat ignoring Kiba's laughter and ignored Sai completely. Twenty minutes in the lesson Kakashi finally arrived. Naruto should have just done it then but his instinct told him not to, it told him something bad would happen but Naruto being accepted the challenge and backing away would show he was afraid or too weak to do it.

"Sorry I'm late class, I got distracted by a dolphin that was in need of something." The class muttered the word liar. "Anyway, today were going to study future careers and your options in life so everyone get a paper from my desk and prepare to write a speech about what your goal is in life." Kakashi sat down at his desk and opened his favourite orange book while the pupils got up to get some paper.

Naruto saw this as an opportunity to complete his challenge. Sasuke got up and walked to the front; Naruto slowly followed the taller man but stopped half way. Oh god this is going to be so embarrassing. He looked up and saw the raven walking back, Naruto's feet stumbled forward and he lost his balance and fell onto someone and they landed on the floor, Naruto recognized it was Sasuke but that wasn't what surprised him. His eyes grew wide in shock. Their lips, were, were TOUCHING!

They were kissing. They were kissing. And their position wasn't exactly helping; Naruto was sitting on Sasuke's crotch. Before Naruto could stop the kiss a fist was connected with the blonde's left cheek and the blonde groaned in pain. He got off Sasuke and stood staring at the raven with rage in his eyes. Sasuke stood, whipping off dust from his uniform and looked at Naruto. Sasuke was, well he was beyond pissed and Naruto was furious, the stupid just punched him, he fucking punched him. Naruto clenched his fists then unclenched it, he was shaking with fury, and then he launched at Sasuke, before Naruto could hit him Sasuke grabbed his wrist but had no time to stop the left hand punching him in the face.

The students backed away from the scene and didn't get involved, they all heard about the chair incident. Kakashi stood up and walked towards them ignoring the students telling him not to.

"Sasuke stop." Kakashi commanded, Sasuke glared at the blonde then pushed him back ignoring the pain in his left cheek. "Both of you go to Tsunade's office now." Both students glared at each other before getting their stuff, Sasuke was the first to leave while Naruto followed behind but heard Sai say

"I only said slap his ass not kiss him."

They didn't speak to each other; they didn't even look at each other. They arrived at Tsunade's office the head mistress, Naruto knocked on the door angrily and heard someone say come in. He opened the door to see the scene he'd seen way too many times in his life, porcelain painted walls, two brown chairs in from of a mahogany desk which had a computer, lots of files and a bottle of sake, a telephone, a big breasted woman sitting behind it with a pissed expression, a small plant in the right hand corner and another room connected to it but he didn't know what was in it.

"What did you do now?" Tsunade growled, she was in a bad mood, well when is she ever in a good mood. They both walked in and sat down on the chairs in silence; she noticed the bruises on their left cheeks. "Bloody hell, it's the last week couldn't you at least behave." Yet again she was met by silence. She sighed and rubbed her temples. "What happened?"

Naruto was the first to speak. "It wasn't my fault."

"I couldn't give a shit on whose fault it was, now tell me what happened?" Tsunade was losing her patience with them. "You two should be expelled by now, why I keep on giving you chances I don't know."

"Well then expel us old hag." Tsunade slammed her fists on the table. But neither of them reacted they were still too angry with each other to even care.

"Don't call me that you damn brat." She growled. "If you're not going to tell me what happened then your going to have to come back after school, I have something to give you, if you don't turn up then consider yourself expelled." The bell rang signalling it was lunchtime. "You can go now." Tsunade picked up the bottle and started drinking it while they both left the room. She picked up the phone and dialled a number. Someone answered. "Hello, I need to make an appointment."

"Who is it for?" The lady on the other line answered.

"Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke."

"What time would you like?"

"As soon as possible, maybe around 4." Tsunade answered.

"I'm not sure I can do that."

"Well I don't care, make an appointment at 4." Tsunade hung up the phone and a smirk appeared on her face this is going to be interesting.

Naruto sat in the cafeteria staring at his food while his friends looked at him worried. Kiba and Sai didn't tell anyone what happened but they guessed it would go around. Their bubbly friend hadn't said a word since joining them in the canteen. They tried talking to him but none of them could get anything out of him, and Shikamaru told them to leave him alone which was good for the blonde because he really didn't feel like talking to anyone now. Never in his whole life had he gotten this angry before, he didn't think he could even get this angry. This is why he should have listened to his instincts and not done anything. He couldn't get expelled, what would Kyuubi say? Oh shit, Naruto forgot that he had to come back to Tsunade's office after school, he's going to be late. He sighed as he stared at his food. What a waste.

The bell rang and he just left without saying goodbye. Fifth lesson flew by, maybe because fate hated him and wanted him to suffer the torture he's going to endure now. He walked to her office surprised that the door was already opened and Sasuke was sitting down. He sat on the other chair and waited for Tsunade to speak.

"Now, I know you both aren't dumb enough to realize that what you're doing isn't acceptable." They both nodded their heads. "Good, so now we agree on that you both deserve to be expelled." Naruto opened his mouth to protest but shut it again. "But I have a proposal." Sasuke raised an eyebrow while Naruto said 'what is it'. "I considered that both of you should attend anger management classes but then I decided against. I won't expel you unless you attend regular therapy.

The blonde's mouth dropped wide open.

It was a book a studied in school about a boy who became homeless and met homeless people.
