The amount of review for this story is overwhelming and inspired me to post another chapter very quickly. I hope you all enjoy it, but I wanted to make sure that since I will be finishing it all the warnings are clear. There will be minor character deaths, and this story will be very dark. There will be no major character death, but this situation that they are in won't be resolved with a perfectly happy ending. The ending will fit the story, and hopefully all my readers will be happy with it. Thank you so much for such a great response, and please let me know if you are continuing to enjoy it.
Chapter 2 Naruto woke with the worst headache of his life. His mouth felt like a dessert and though the dim light in the room stung his eyes he opens them to take in his surroundings. There was a glass of water right in front of his head, and he reached out to take it. He leaned up a bit to drink, and suddenly realized he’d made a mistake as his stomach rebelled against the motion and the fluid. A half an hour later and grateful for the headache medication he found in the bathroom, Naruto emerged from the darkness of the bedroom into the well lit living area. His eyes squinted a bit, but adjusted quickly. His head still throbbed, but it was not his biggest concern. He wandered into the kitchen area to see if there was anything carbonated he could drink to settle his stomach all the way, but found that there was little in the way of food or drink. He sat at the table contemplating dipping his finger in the honey pot there in the center when the door across the room opened and a woman with red hair and a scowl came in with a tray that smelled very good, but still turned his stomach. “Hello, Hokage Sama.” She said with exaggerated sarcasm, and at a jarring volume that he was sure was meant to grate at him. He remembered her from previous encounters. Her name was Karin if memory served, and she was obviously obsessed with Sasuke. Naruto knew her attitude wouldn’t improve no matter what he did or said so he just said a mild good morning, and tried not to wince when she slammed the tray down in front of him. “You’re breakfast is served. Sasuke kun had to take care of some things this morning, but I’m sure he’ll be back to fuck you some more in the ass very soon.” Ohh yes, she’s very bitter about what he’d been brought here for. He did appreciate her being straight with him though. He hated it when people didn’t say what they meant. Naruto had never been one for games. “He hasn’t fucked me nor will he be fucking me when he gets back so lay off. You’re Karin right. I remember you. You’re the newest addition to the Sasuke stalking squad. You’re not the first girl to fall for dark and depressing, and most likely you won’t be the last. I’m not here voluntarily, and as soon as I find a way to get rid of that thing over there that’s sucking my chakra out of me, I’ll be out of your hair. You wouldn’t by chance be interested in helping me out would you?” She just scowled deeper at him before turning and making her way toward the door again. “Though it may be true that I’d love to see you gone, I have no desire to anger Sasuke kun or jeopardize my position here. You’re stuck so you might as well get used to it, and that thing happens to be the work of a genius. You’ll never get rid of it. Enjoy your breakfast…” The door slammed behind her, and Naruto just stared at the meal in front of him with resignation. He was hungry even if he was a bit nauseous still. He ate slowly, and didn’t taste any of it. He kept thinking she was probably right, he’d never get rid of that thing, and just looking at it was starting to make him angry all over again. He took the cloth napkin off the tray, and walked toward it, but it moved away from him every time he got close. He ended up cornering it, but didn’t dare touch it. He wrapped the napkin around it, careful not to touch it, and tied the corners at the top. When he was done he couldn’t see the glow anymore, only the deep blue of the napkin. He went back to the table and finished his breakfast. He cleaned up after he was done, and decided he’d explore his prison. The door didn’t open for him, he hadn’t expected it too. His picture of team seven was sitting on a chest of drawers in the bedroom as well as a few nic nacs from his home. The drawers were full of his clothing, and the closet was the same. He went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth again simply because he was bored, and then made his way to Sasuke’s side of the room. It was obvious that Sasuke lived here as well, and the bed was mussed on both sides so Naruto assumed they’d slept in this bed together last night. The living room had the model he’d approved for his face that had been used to carve his face into Hokage Mountain. It was one of his most prized possessions. There was a glass case hanging on the wall with his father’s, Sasuke’s and Naruto’s first hitai ate. It had been hanging in his office the night he’d left. All these things had been in his home that night, and Sasuke had gone in after him and taken them before following him here. Naruto thought he might have found these things comforting if there were windows or some kind of natural light in the room, but the obviousness of his prison was two depressing to allow any feelings other than resentment and pain. He missed home. He missed Sakura and Sai always fussing at him to act like a proper Hokage, and he missed Shino and Shikamaru always getting onto him about his work. He missed Kiba blushing when he was caught making out with Hinata, and he missed slipping away in the middle of the day to eat ramen, but the thing he missed the most was the view from his window. He loved Konoha even with all its flaws, and all he wanted was to go home. ooOOoo The door opened again just after he’d finished the lunch that had been delivered, and Sasuke smiled at him. Naruto just stared at him, wondering how long Sasuke would subject him to this before letting him go or killing him. “I see you found the library Naruto. Anything of interest?” Naruto looked down at the scroll in his hands. It was genjutsu that he’d never heard of and he had found it very interesting, but he just didn’t have it in him to give Sasuke the satisfaction. “No. Just trying to make the hours pass more quickly. My new cell is much more accommodating than the last.” He didn’t even try to keep the bitterness out of his voice. Sasuke sighed, and moved to sit next to Naruto on the couch. “You aren’t a prisoner here. I brought you here to share my life. We can be free here. There are no more wars to fight and no more enemies to kill. You did your job and now it’s time to live. You need this as much as I do.” He slid his hand onto Naruto’s thigh and gave him an imploring smile. Naruto just couldn’t understand how Sasuke could think this was ok. He knew arguing wouldn’t do any good. Sasuke had obviously been planning this for years, but he had to try and make him understand. “I’m not free here Sasuke. I miss my friends and my home. I love being Hokage. I have the power to make sure that no child ever goes through what I went through ever again. I have made so many changes, and Konoha is so much better now. Leadership is just as important now as it’s ever been, and just because enemies haven’t shown their face doesn’t mean they aren’t there waiting for us to show weakness. A weakness like loosing their Hokage.” Sasuke sighed and stood up. He was irritated, but Naruto could tell that he didn’t want him to know. “I’ve been fighting all my life, and I have finally found a place where I can be happy and someone I can be happy with. You can’t expect me to just send you back before I’ve even had the chance to show you what I can give you.” He walked away then, and shut the door softly behind him. Naruto could hear voices from the other side, but when he checked it the lock was firmly in place. ooOOoo Putting off thinking about his deeper feelings for Sasuke would only cause more problems later so it was time to deal with it. Sasuke hadn’t returned to him until late in the evening. He’d showered silently and slid into bed next to Naruto. His hand had met Naruto’s under the blanket, but Naruto pulled away and turned his back to him. The silence after had been thick with tension, and Naruto felt bad for hurting Sasuke, but he was too hurt himself to give in. Sasuke’s breath had evened and become heavy, and Naruto rolled over to look at his face relaxed in sleep. He looked fifteen again, all smooth lines and creamy skin. He was perfect in every way. Naruto knew that had the circumstances been just slightly different, he’d have volunteered to be in this bed with Sasuke, but the situation was one of power and control. He had neither so giving up the one thing that he had a say in was something he just couldn’t do. He did want Sasuke though. He wanted him in the worst way imaginable. His fantasies had always revolved around his friend ever since he’d been old enough to have them. He’d wanted this, but it all seemed so wrong. Naruto had always been stunted in the way of relationships. He could make friends easily with just about anyone, but that had been born out of desperation and loneliness. He just had no experiences with physical relationships. That kind of thing just wasn’t something that people did in public so Naruto didn’t have any idea what to do. He’d seen people kiss, and he’d read one of the Icha books, but it was like reading another language. The physical act of sex was instinct, but knowing how to be close to someone wasn’t, and he’d had no one to learn it from so he’d come to terms with his loneliness long ago. Naruto could see now that Sasuke was in many ways the same as him. He had little to no knowledge on how to develop a relationship or to initiate intimacy. Naruto could see after thinking about it, that this was probably the only way in Sasuke’s mind that he could have what he wanted. It made sense, in an insane sort of way. It didn’t mean that Naruto had to be happy about it though. He’d worked hard for the life he had, and giving it all up to be prisoner/lover to Sasuke wasn’t what he’d had in mind for his future. He did have an idea though. If he could convince Sasuke that he loved him without the chains then maybe Sasuke would let him have his life back. He was a leader but he was also a man. He was allowed to have needs, and maybe it wasn’t too late to bring Sasuke home. His hand snaked under the blankets toward Sasuke, and he shifted slowly closer. Sasuke’s skin was warm and smooth, and so very inviting. His chest was bare, and Naruto’s fingers danced over the planes and angles letting himself enjoy the unfamiliar sensation of touching someone else. His attraction was strong, and he didn’t want to fight it. He wanted Sasuke in a fiercely possessive way, and it hit him suddenly that this must be how Sasuke felt about him for him to go to such lengths to bring him here. He felt content with being here for a moment. He found it easy to love Sasuke right then as he slept. The skin under his hand tightened at his light touch and there was a small ripple that he couldn’t see with his eyes but he could feel as the muscles tensed. Goose flesh rose in odd patterns under his fingers and a warm calloused hand came to rest over his. He looked up to see dark eyes watching him intently, the flashes of hope and lust in that gaze heating Naruto’s face in an inelegant blush. Long fingers interlaced with his and his hand was pulled up to slightly chapped lips and kissed. “This is all I wanted. Just to be with you like this without the fighting or the politics. Just you.” Warm breath washed over his hand as Sasuke spoke to him, and weaved a spell in Naruto’s mind enticing him with images of unknown passion. Sex had been nothing but a dream until this moment, and now that it was possible Naruto could think of nothing else. Sasuke moved to him and Naruto’s body slowly leaned back down to the bed. Their hands were still intertwined as Naruto’s legs were shifted apart to allow Sasuke to press into him. Naruto gasped at the feel of a body so close to his own. Twenty seven years he’d lived apart from intimate human touch and his mind could only sense the shocking agony of his sudden completion. Sasuke held him tight as he writhed and mumbled nonsense. As he started to return to himself his hand started to throb and he realized that he’d squeezed Sasuke’s hand so hard if it had been anyone else they’re fingers would have been crushed. Sasuke was panting above him, eyes glazed and hungry. “You are so beautiful. I can’t believe no one has ever touched you before. Why did you wait so long?” Naruto was ashamed to say why. There were several reasons, but the most prominent in his mind was that he’d only ever really wanted one man, and that man had left him so long ago he could barely remember why his heart had stayed true for so long. Sasuke was a fiction in his mind. He’d imagined many times how he would rescue Sasuke from himself and take him home. He’d imagined making love to him in the summer sun after a long day of training in Konoha. He’d lived a life with Sasuke in his mind, and no one could coax him out of his fantasy. There had been other reasons. He was the leader of his village, and that made any kind of relationship difficult, he was still a jinchuriki so there was the fear factor, and the worst was the fact that he was naive in the ways of love, and his pride wouldn’t let him make that leap when it could possibly lead to shame. As he looked up in to onyx eyes he realized that the ridicule he’d expected wasn’t there. There was still lust and what Naruto hoped was affection, but under it was quiet understanding. “I never imagined that it would be the same for you as it’s been for me. If I’d known you were waiting I would have waited as well. I would have come for you sooner.” That broke the spell. Naruto pushed Sasuke off of him and leaned over the side of the bed, his head cradled in his hands. Sasuke still didn’t understand. He should have guessed that Sasuke would still be just as self centered as always, but it still hurt to know that even with Sasuke seeing the truth in Naruto’s eyes, he’d still thought this was the best way. “I never wanted you to come for me… I wanted you to come back to me. I wanted you to come home.” Sasuke slid his legs on either side of Naruto’s and pulled him back against his chest. It was comforting and warm, but Naruto knew it was an illusion. Sasuke only comforted him in order to make him feel better about his captivity. Naruto only hoped that Sasuke was sane enough to see his mistake. At this point Naruto wouldn’t hold his breath. “I couldn’t come home. After everything that happened I realized that Konoha wasn’t my home anymore. They betrayed me as much as my family and my brother did. The politics and the lies were more than I could take. I can’t forgive them for doing what they did even if they had no knowledge of it. They destroyed my family and my brother, and made me seek revenge against the wrong person. If they could do what they did to my brother then they could do it to me as well. I will be no one’s puppet, and no one’s slave. I’ve made a home here and I have people that are loyal to me. They are my friends and family… all I need now is a lover. I need you Naruto. Please stay with me. I don’t want you here as a prisoner. I want you here as my companion. I want to share all this with you. I have my own hidden village here. I’ve even imagined naming it and making our claim official.” Naruto was slowly relaxing into Sasuke. His voice had always been soothing, but the husky whisper so close to his ear was intoxicating. He looked down to see pale hands drifting slowly across his skin as if Sasuke wanted to memorize his body by touch alone. Naruto realized that that was exactly what he was doing, and was angry at himself for enjoying it. He knew if he said anything right then that they would just get in another argument. He just wanted to clean up, and go to sleep. He stepped up out of Sasuke’s arms and walked toward the bathroom. His constant reminder of his captivity followed behind him, and he thought about kicking it, but worried that without his chakra he’d injure himself badly. It reminded him to ask Sasuke about how he’d drugged him with so much and not killed him. He had other questions too, but right then he really needed to clean up.
