Sasuke nervously clutched at the bag he held in his left hand. He couldn�t believe that he was actually going to be staying in Naruto�s room for the Christmas break. Sasuke hadn�t realized it at first, but his attraction for the blond grew every day they were or weren�t together. Sasuke felt a strong sense of longing as he rested his hand on the door handle to Naruto�s room. He knew that there could never be any promises of the future because you never knew what life would bring. Life was no fairy tale, hearts would break, people would die, and Sasuke knew that. Sasuke watched as Naruto finished pulling open the door all the way, stepping to the side so that the brunette could enter. Naruto�s face held the usual happy grin, as if Naruto hadn�t a care in the world. As Sasuke watched that smile, he wondered if it was really possible to live like that, to live in the moment, not caring about the world, and only caring about the person who was your world. Sasuke was a little envious of that world, something he wanted for his own, though he would never admit it.

As Sasuke watched Naruto, he couldn�t help but wonder what Naruto�s world was like. Everyone had their own worlds, their own opinions, so what was Naruto�s world like? Sasuke wanted to know, what was he to Naruto? What place did he hold in Naruto�s heart? Was his place in Naruto�s heart the same as his? Or maybe, was Sasuke losing it after all this time of living in a secluded world without friends, conversations, love�

Sasuke snapped from his thoughts when a bag of corn chips was waved in front of his face by Naruto. Naruto said with a grin �Welcome back,� looking a little smug, �and people say I space out a lot.�

Embarrassed at being caught staring into space, his response was to pinch the blond�s arm. Sasuke had to hold back a smile as he watched the male hop up and down rubbing at his arm muttering �Owie~!� in a childish tone. Sasuke�s response was to drop his bag by the door and walk over to collapse in a heap on the bed, ignoring any and all of the blonde�s complaints.

Sasuke looked around Naruto�s brightly colored room, and the first thing his eyes settled on was the white guitar that had orange and black flames licking at the guitar. Sasuke rolled over; eyes fixed on the guitar, and wondered if he asked, would Naruto play it for him? It looked like Naruto hardly touched it though, judging by the thin film of dust over it, Naruto rarely played it anymore.

Sasuke reached for his pad, and started writing, not looking up as he felt Naruto leaning over his shoulder. As the last cord reverberated throughout the room, Naruto couldn�t make eye contact with Sasuke. He felt like he had just uttered a confession to the other male and he wasn�t even sure why he played it. Originally, Naruto hadn�t even planned on sharing the song, but it had just come out. Both males laid next to each other, and the last thing Naruto saw before he fell asleep was Sasuke pulling the blankets over them before Sasuke joined Naruto in slumber.

Naruto woke up hours later, looking over at Sasuke lazily. Sasuke�s onyx eyes met Naruto�s and Naruto grinned at the raven before he rolled over, ignoring the pain in his back.
Kissing Sasuke briefly, Naruto said with a grin �It�s midnight.� Naruto checked the clock again before he said cheerfully �Merry Christmas Sasuke.�
Sasuke threaded his fingers through Naruto�s blond spikes, pulling Naruto closer. He hoped that his parents would forgive him for breaking his vow of silence, but for Naruto, it was worth breaking it. �Merry Christmas Naruto�.� If Sasuke could live with this kind of happiness every day, then Sasuke was sure that his parents would forgive him.
Sasuke�s voice had come out low and raspy because of disuse, but it made Naruto�s grin broaden as he wrapped his arms around Sasuke comfortingly. Sasuke had spoken for the first time in years for him, and he could not help the joy that filled him.
This made him realize that even if their love didn�t last forever, no matter what everyone thought, all that mattered was the time he and Sasuke spent together. Even if this blissful relationship came to an end one day, Naruto would do his best to make every minute, every second they had together count. He wouldn�t worry about the future anymore.
