A/N: This is the sequel to Always There; you don't need to read to know what's going on, but it might explain somethings. This is also very long and I had to break it up into three separate parts, each will posted at the end of the week, with the final chapter on Naruto's b-day with him topping, since so many of ya'll asked for it XD.

The sum which two married people owe to one another defies calculation. It is an infinite debt, which can only be discharged through all eternity. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The sound of the clock down the hall was loud as it echoed throughout the house. It chimed out nine bells before falling silent again, leaving the house quiet once more. It wouldn’t be long before the house was filled with noise, but for now, he was content to enjoy the silence.
Sunlight streamed through the top of the curtains, dancing across the carpeted floor before coming to a stop at the foot of the bed. Outside of the sun, he couldn’t see the weather beyond the window, but he hoped that it was nice.
A slight movement next to him drew his attention back to the body that was curled up against his side and he smiled slightly. He lifted his hand, letting it drop on the blond head of hair before he ran his fingers through the soft locks.
It wouldn’t take much to wake Naruto up since it was getting later in the day. A simple nudge would stir him awake. He refrained from doing so, intent on staying still so he could watch him sleep. His fingers drifted down the tanned face, pausing to cup it as he examined it carefully, taking in every little detail.
He knew Naruto’s face and body like his own; every sensitive spot that made him a boneless pile of goo, to every ticklish patch of skin that made him squeal when it was touched. It was the small things about him that he enjoyed the most; the things that no one else would ever notice or know but him.
The way Naruto liked to cook dinner while listening to foreign music, trying to sing along with the words he didn’t understand. Or the way he liked order in his study, but chaos in every other part of the house.
He pressed his lips against the bare skin presented to him, trailing down the curve of it. He swept across the broad back, pausing to drop a kiss at the base of his neck, making Naruto arch into the touch.
His fingers skimmed down Naruto’s side, barely brushing the skin but enough to draw goose bumps to the surface. Naruto’s body shivered and he pressed back against his chest, muttering in his sleep. Itachi smirked at the antics before draping his arm over Naruto’s waist, pulling him closer.
“Naruto, it’s time to get up”" he whispered into his ear.
“Nuh,” was the intelligent answer and Itachi chuckled.
“As much as I enjoy staying in bed with you, we have things that have to be done today. Or did you forget about this afternoon?”
Finally, Naruto raised his head, blinking away the sleep and rubbed at his eyes with the heel of his palm. He struggled into a sitting position, letting the covers pool around his waist. “What are you talking about ‘Tachi?”
A loud knock sounded on the door, making them jump before an even louder voice echoed through the door. “You two better be up, otherwise I’m coming in there and dragging you out of bed; regardless of how you’re dressed,” Kushina yelled. “We still need to run through the last minute preparations before the wedding this afternoon.”
Naruto stumbled out of bed, cursing as his toe stubbed the corner of the dresser. “Wedding?” he croaked and shot Itachi a glare when he started to chuckle. “But today’s Wednesday, the wedding isn’t until Saturday.”
Itachi padded across the floor and placed a kiss on Naruto’s temple. “Love, it is Saturday. Remember, yesterday was Friday and we had the dress rehearsal in which I tried to convince you to elope once again, but you said no.”
The door burst open and Kushina grinned at them. “Good, you’re already up,” her hand curled around Naruto’s wrist. “Come on honey, we need to get you ready for this afternoon.”
There was no arguing with the redhead as she started to pull Naruto out the door, leaving Itachi alone in their bedroom, once again questioning why he gave their parents a spare key to their apartment. He supposed at one time, it had been a good idea, but now it was getting annoying.
No doubt, Sasuke would be here shortly with their mother, ready to inflict terror and pain on him. Both Minato and his own father were hiding away somewhere and Itachi wanted to know where the hiding spot was located.
He was sorely tempted to go join them.
Truth be told, he would have been fine with a simple wedding ceremony, preferably one with the courthouse, but the two females had firmly stated that no son of theirs was going to elope. Sasuke found great humor in the whole situation and was determined to make sure Itachi didn’t try to leave before the set date.
His brother was starting to become a pain in the ass.
Stepping out of the shower, he toweled off his hair before wrapping the towel around his waist. The wedding was going to be early in the afternoon since the evenings were becoming crisp and no one wanted to sit outside in cold weather.
Slipping on some sweatpants, Itachi moved downstairs to the kitchen where Sasuke was already sitting at the table, drinking some coffee.
“What are you doing here Sasuke?”
“You gave me a key.”
Itachi snorted; that damn key was becoming a big problem already. After tonight, he was changing the locks so no one else could get in.
“That doesn’t mean you can come in and eat all our food.”
Sasuke smirked. “I’m sure Naruto does that for you; he was always hungry when we were dating.”
Itachi paused at the sentence and watched his brother carefully. They had never spoken of the time that Sasuke dated Naruto for those few short months since Itachi never wished to know what happened during that time.
Some nights he was curious about what might have happened, but Naruto had never asked him about his other relationships so Itachi didn’t bother interrogating him. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t ask Sasuke.
“Sasuke, why did you and Naruto break up?” he asked, moving to sit down at the table.
His brother shrugged. “Why are you asking now? That was years ago, I thought you would’ve forgotten about that already.”
“Just curious.”
“He always loved you, even when we were dating. I think though, he was trying to forget you that year, in hopes that he could finally move on, but even dating someone else, his thoughts were always on you. He was willing to go all the way with me, but I couldn’t do that to him.”
Itachi cocked his head. “Why didn’t you?”
“Because I knew he didn’t want me, he wanted you. And I didn’t want to ruin our friendship over that. Besides, he was already hurting from seeing you with other people.”
“Why didn’t he say anything then, if I was hurting him so badly?”
Sasuke snorted. “Itachi, you were always with someone whenever he wanted to say something. Not only that, but he’s younger than you by five years; that was a large age difference back then for us. I’m sure he thought you would laugh at him.”
He fought the urge to squirm at the words directed towards him. They weren’t harsh, but they were blunt and still stung. Pouring himself a cup of coffee, he stirred the dark liquid as he collected his thoughts.
He didn’t like the fact that he had caused Naruto pain when they were growing up, especially since it was due to his own stubbornness. It wasn’t easy to forget the feelings of hurt when he was told that Naruto was engaged last year, along with the feelings of euphoria when the blond came back to him.
When Sasuke told him the next day that he was going to marry Naruto, he thought his younger brother was joking with him. But later in the day, his father had called him down to the office and explained the situation behind Naruto’s sudden appearance.
He had been furious with the female who tried to worm her way into Naruto’s life with no intent of loving him. Minato had done his own investigation and found that they were only hoping to gain monetary value through the marriage.
Sasuke had told him that the family was still upset the Uchiha’s had found a loophole in the contract and then bought out the company, but Itachi figured they had gotten off light. If he had anything to say, the man wouldn’t be breathing right now.
Setting the cup on the table, he leaned against the countertop. “What did you get Naruto for his birthday?”
His brother glanced up at him. “You still haven’t figured out what to get him yet?” he chuckled. “He has you wrapped around his finger, Itachi.”
Itachi growled. “Sasuke, I’m serious.”
“Relax, Itachi. I’m sure that you could give him anything and he would still love you. You mean the world to him,” a small smirk slid across his face. “But if you must know, I didn’t get him anything for his birthday, but I did get him a wedding gift. In fact, I need to give it to him soon.”
He stood up and moved away from the table, setting the coffee cup in the sink. Spinning around, he glanced at his brother. “You know, I think the best thing you can give him, is something you’ve never given anyone before.”
Itachi’s eyebrows furrowed. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“That’s up to you to find out.”
Before Itachi could question Sasuke more, the younger Uchiha vanished, leaving him alone in the kitchen. He cursed softly as he sat down in the vacant chair; Naruto’s birthday was a week way and he was no closer to finding something for him than he was last week.
“Mom, don’t! Ack!”
“Hush honey, it isn’t anything I’ve never seen before. I did give birth to you, meaning I changed your diaper more than once after that.”
“That doesn’t mean you can just strip me!”
“Naruto Namikaze, I am your mother and can do whatever I wish to you. Even when your name changes to Uchiha, I will still be your mother.”
Naruto squirmed on the small stool he was standing on. “But I feel ridiculous standing here….naked.”
His mother waved a hand. “Details, details. It’s my job to make sure you’re ready for tonight.”
He groaned. “Please don’t talk to me about that. I get it enough from Sasuke and Kiba.”
“That’s because you leave yourself open for teasing,” a voice said from the doorway, making Naruto jump.
“Sa-Sasuke! What are you doing here?”
“I heard your mother was torturing you and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see it,” he stated with a small smirk. He tossed Naruto a small towel. “Put that on, I have no intention on seeing you run around naked.”
Naruto sighed with relief and wrapped the towel around his waist as his mother talked to Sasuke. Once she left, Sasuke shut the door and approached Naruto with a small box in his hands.
“What’s this?”
“An early wedding present,” Sasuke said.
With an excited smile, Naruto untied the ribbon and lifted the lid off the box. He pulled out the small round canister that had a pouch sitting on top of it with feathers poking out the top of it. He looked at it curiously. “What is it? A feather duster?”
Sasuke chuckled. “Have you heard of honey dust before?”
Naruto shook his head and brought the small container up to his face. “Briefly, but I haven’t looked into it before. I always figured it was something a girl would want, so there was no sense in buying one.”
“Well, honey dust is a body powder that makes the skin smooth, like a baby, and makes the skin taste sweet with every kiss. And, you’re about to find out more about it.”
“Wha?” his sentence was cut off as Sasuke pushed him down onto the bed. “What are you doing Sasuke?”
“I’m going to dust you down with this fine product.”
Naruto didn’t say anything as Sasuke unscrewed the lid and dipped the feather into the fine powder. He jumped at the soft touch and the faint sent of honey invaded his nose. He let Sasuke work in silence for a while as the feather moved down his back, letting the powder slide over his body and onto the sheets.
“Hey Sasuke, what does Itachi think of me?”
The feather paused. “Why would you ask that? He loves you obviously and cares for you more than you will know,” the soft motions continued. “Can I ask why the sudden question?”
“I…I just want to know if he sees me as an equal or something less.”
Naruto felt the bed dip and lifted his head up to see Sasuke staring down at him. “You think he believes you to be inferior to him?”
His fingers played with the edge of the sheet as he thought about his answer carefully. It wasn’t that he thought he was superior to Itachi, but he didn’t believe that he was anything less either. In his mind, they were equals, despite the age difference. But at times, the way Itachi treated him made him feel as though he was a frail doll.
“Maybe, I mean, I’m not sure how to say this,” he paused to run a hand through his hair. “I had hoped that he would think of me as an equal, but he’s always…in control.”
A flush spread across Sasuke’s face and he squirmed uncomfortably. “Please tell me we’re not talking about your sex life right now, because I enjoy teasing you occasionally about being the bottom, but if you keep going, that’s too much information.”
Naruto punched him on the shoulder. “It’s not always about the sex, jackass. I’m talking about our relationship in general. He’s always the one comforting me and treating me as though I were a girl. I enjoy the attention yes, but I’m not weak. I want to be the one who comforts him and take control for once, but he won’t let me do that,” he turned his head. “Why won’t he let me, Sasuke?”
Sasuke sighed and set the jar aside, they were done with it anyway. “Because he’s an Uchiha, Naruto; he’s not used to showing emotions. To him, it’s a sign of weakness and he doesn’t want to show that to you. He wants to be strong for you, even though you’re more than capable of taking care of yourself, but he loves you so much that he forgets sometimes.”
“Why is your family so stubborn?” Naruto asked, a small smile slipping across his face.
“Hn. I believe that stubbornness runs through your family as well.”
Naruto grinned and leaned over to pick up the boxers that sat on the floor. It was true that they were both stubborn; if their past was an indication of that and he knew that Itachi had trouble letting someone else take control. That was just who he was but it didn’t make Naruto love him any less.
“Fine, I’m stubborn too, but it was that stubbornness that kept me from wearing the dress today,” Naruto said. He stood up and started to push Sasuke out of the room. “Now get out, I want to finish getting ready in peace. Go harass your brother or something.”
The door slammed shut behind Naruto and the sound of the lock clicking into place was loud in the silent hallway. Sasuke smirked at Naruto’s actions as he walked away from the door, but his mind was still on the conversation that he had with his friend. He had his suspicions that Naruto was getting tired with always being called the female of the relationship. He had hinted at it to his brother, but he wasn’t sure if Itachi understood.
But the question was, even if Itachi understood the suggestion, would he take it. Sasuke hadn’t been lying when he said that their family had problems in letting go of their control; they always had to be in charge of something. Their mother was the only one to that exception and at times, her passive nature would show through Sasuke, but that was at very rare times.
His father had told him Uchiha’s were possessive by nature; their desire to protect the ones they cared about was strong, thus making them very protective of those they loved. No doubt Itachi was simply trying to make sure that Naruto was safe and more than likely, still trying to recover from the shock of last year. He had almost lost Naruto forever and he had taken the news badly. So it was no surprise that Itachi was a little over protective.
Sweet to a point, but beyond that, it was annoying. A small flaw in the otherwise perfect Uchiha persona. Sasuke snorted at the thought; they weren’t even close to being perfect, but admitting it had to count for something right?
A light breeze blew across the green grass, making the fallen leaves dance across the tree roots. The wedding planner had fussed and complained that the landscapers should have raked them up, but Naruto had stated that he liked them, saying it gave the area a since of fall and a more relaxed feeling. The woman had huffed but otherwise didn’t say anything as she moved towards the rows of chairs, straightening them out.
He could see the lake glistening in the sunlight, reflecting its rays off the water, making it look as though it was shinning. His eyes settled back on the bright blue eyes of Naruto and he smiled softly at him, squeezing his hand gently as the cleric rambled on about something. Perhaps it was a good thing they decided not to elope; this wasn’t so bad. Finally, the man stopped talking and said the words Itachi had been waiting for.
“You may now kiss the-”
“Don’t say it,” Naruto hissed at the priest and Itachi chuckled as he leaned forward.
A loud noise whistled past his ear, making him jerk his head back. His eyes narrowed at the guest standing in the middle of the aisle way and he heard other murmurs of disgust at the man’s sudden appearance. The man’s hands disappeared inside the sleeves of the long black trench coat he wore and when they appeared again, they were holding red clouds in the shape of a weapon. He pointed in their direction with one of the clouds.
“I’m here for the Kyuubi.”
Itachi cocked his head. “Naruto’s cat?”
“Yes!”
“No, you can’t have him!” Naruto yelled, and then ducked as a weapon was launched at his head.
“Watch me,” the man said and started to run forward.
Itachi’s hand slipped down and his fingers curled around the metal grip of his own weapon before he darted forward. They were quickly drawing closer; a little more and he would be in striking distance...
“Itachi!”
He shook his head and blinked before his vision focused on his mother. She was glaring at him with her hands on her hips while Sasuke snorted with laughter behind her. “Were you even listening to me?”
“Yes, you said my tie wasn’t straight and that my jacket was hanging up by the door.”
She scowled at him before reaching out to tug at the tie, straightening it with a quick movement. Her hands smoothed down the front of his white shirt and she took a step back to admire her work. “Perfect. I think my work here is done,” she placed a kiss on his cheek. “I’m going to go find Kushina; we’ll see you in a bit.”
Silence settled in the room once the door shut and Itachi ran a hand through his hair while Sasuke dropped into an empty chair. The wedding wasn’t supposed to start for another thirty minutes and everyone was ready; the only thing to do now, was wait.
The ceremony was going to be short, something that Itachi was happy about and it was the one thing that Naruto refused to let their mothers plan. Naruto simply stated that if their mothers were in charge of the entire wedding, he was going to be wearing a dress and walking down the aisle with his father escorting him the whole way. And there was no way in hell he was going to do that.
Instead, they were both going to meet at the altar while their fathers escorted their mothers down the aisle. Itachi had suspected that had been his mother’s idea since she never had the chance to walk down the aisle, but he didn’t argue to matter. So long as they were able to say ‘I do’ and change Naruto’s last name to Uchiha, he would be fine.
Then it was goodbye States, hello Europe. Where they would be able to spend some time alone, without having to worry about jobs or annoying family members trying to butt into their business.
The slamming of the door drew Itachi from his thoughts and he cocked his head as Naruto panted against the door. “You were right Itachi, we should have eloped; it would have been so much easier.”
Sasuke chuckled and stood up from his chair. “I’ll come get you when they’re ready to start.”
Once Sasuke left the room, Itachi moved over towards the door and embraced the smaller male. He felt tired arms come up to wrap around his waist while the blond head rested against his chest. He was sorely tempted to take Naruto up on the offer to elope now, just leave through the back door and take the first plane out to Europe. They could tour the countryside while the uproar died down, then come back later to face the music.
Although, staying in Europe for a few years was definitely an option.
“I’ll be so happy when this is finally over,” Naruto mumbled against his chest. “It’s been nonstop all day; I’m tired and I want to go to bed.”
Itachi smiled softly and ran a hand through Naruto’s hair. “It’ll be quick, that’s why we’re having it in the backyard. Just a few words for the cleric to say, some rings, and a kiss to seal the deal,” he paused to kiss Naruto’s temple before continuing. “Then a small dinner, where thankfully, no one will talk and we leave tomorrow for Europe.”
“You make it sound as though everything is going to run smoothly.”
“That’s my hope.”
Sasuke fought the urge to squirm as the old man next to his brother continued to talk about the wonders of marriage. He could see that Naruto’s eyes were gazed over, meaning he was asleep, because only Naruto would learn how to fall asleep with his eyes open. He wouldn’t lie that it had freaked him out when they were younger, and even today, it was still slightly creepy. But it was the something Naruto had perfected and he had never been caught during school.
His eyes drifted around the yard where he noted with some interest, that both his father and Minato were trying their best to hold back tears. He had noticed they were close to crying as they walked down the aisle with their mothers and he knew that it was the perfect blackmail once he got the pictures back. There was nothing better to hold over your father’s head than him crying.
His gaze paused on the back row of chairs where earlier movement had caught his attention. He racked his brain, trying to remember which guest it was but he couldn’t remember. She looked familiar but he was having trouble remembering where he had seen her.
A slight cough drew his attention back to his brother where Naruto was blinking quickly so he could clear his eyes. He was certain Itachi was smirking at Naruto for falling asleep and getting away with it, but he didn’t blame Itachi. It was something that should be applauded; although there was some amount of irony about falling asleep at your own wedding.
Sasuke’s mind drifted back to the mysterious person as Itachi started to repeat the ‘I do’s’ and his eyes widened as the memory finally clicked. Shifting back slightly, he stepped away from the altar and moved down the side aisle, his ears still listening to the cleric speak.
If he was correct, the mysterious woman was the one that was supposed to marry Naruto a little over a year ago. No doubt, she was here to try to cause some havoc; and there was no way Sasuke was going to let that happen to either of them.
“Speak now or forever hold your peace.”
His footsteps quickened until he was sprinting as she stood up and without another thought, he tackled her to the ground.
The brief scream of terror made everyone turn around in their seats and Sasuke poked his head up over the top of the chairs. “Everything’s alright here folks, she just fainted from the excitement,” he waved his hand. “Go ahead and kiss the blond Itachi, I’ll take good care of her.”
Naruto cocked his head to the side slightly at Sasuke’s explanation but otherwise didn’t question his actions. He was sure that there was some reason behind it, but he didn’t want to know right now. Instead, he was ready to sit down before his legs gave out from under him. Itachi squeezed his hand lightly, drawing his attention back towards the front where the cleric was waiting for the guests to quiet down.
“If there are no complaints, than you may kiss the-”
“Don’t say it,” Naruto stated.
Itachi chuckled as he leaned forward; briefly remembering his earlier daydream, only this time no oddly shaped weapons flew by his head. Without another thought, he pressed his lips against Naruto’s while his arm snaked around his waist. He relished the feeling of the warm body against his and the knowledge that he wasn’t going to lose Naruto again made him relax into the kiss.
They broke apart before anyone could start to complain and Sasuke reappeared at the front, ready to congratulate them. A soft smile was shared between them before the guest started to come forward and offer their words of congratulations to the new couple.
As the large group of guest started to break apart and drift away towards the pavilion, Naruto poked Itachi in the arm. “Itachi, are our fathers…crying?”
Itachi glanced over in the direction Naruto was looking at and his eyebrow rose at the sight of the two men clinging to each other while bawling their eyes out. He had to admit that it was somewhat scary to see his father cry like that, but at the same time, there was something normal about it. It showed that he was human and subject to the everyday emotions that ruled their lives and Itachi took some comfort in that thought.
“Perhaps we should leave them,” he suggested. “They’ll come to the dinner when they’re more composed.”
Naruto nodded and they moved away from the altar, leaving the two crying fathers alone.
Naruto’s dropped down into the chair with a tired sigh. This reception had a little too much dancing for his liking and after all the running around his mom had him do today; all he wanted to do was sit and relax. He felt a soft hand run through his hair and he leaned back into the touch, knowing that it was Itachi. He was the only one who knew the sensitive spots on his scalp that helped him relax after a stressful day.
“Tired?”
“Yes. I just want to sleep.”
Itachi chuckled. “But we didn’t even get to dance much.”
Naruto’s head lolled back against Itachi’s chest. “The dance floor is too crowded and I don’t think I can stand up anymore.”
He smiled and stood up, pulling Naruto up as well. “Come on, let’s go someplace quiet.”
They moved outside the building, where night was already falling, making stars twinkle in the setting sky. The sounds of the fountain were soft and quiet as they moved across the gently sloping grass. The cool air helped to wake up Naruto and he smiled as his breath fanned in front of him in a puff of white smoke.
He jumped as Itachi’s arms circled around his waist, drawing him closer and he leaned into the touch. His eyes drifted shut as Itachi started to hum next to his ear as he rested his chin on his shoulder and Naruto knew that he was fortunate to be able to see Itachi like this. Everyone considered him to be cold and unloving but whenever he was with him, Itachi was nothing but gentle with him.
Itachi nuzzled the side of his neck, pressing a kiss to the side of it. “Hmm, I love you Naruto.”
Naruto turned his head around so he could capture Itachi’s lips. “I love you too,” he murmured against them before submitting into the kiss.
They separated softly and Itachi nibbled at his neck, before pausing. “You taste like honey,” he stated and went back to sucking on the tanned column. He ran his tongue over a sensitive spot, smirking as Naruto gasped and shivered in his arms.
He could feel heat running through his body as his arousal started to grow. The honey taste was addicting and he couldn’t stop running his tongue over the sweet skin. He pushed his hands into Naruto’s white dress shirt, marveling at the silky smooth skin underneath his fingers and he wanted to press his body against Naruto’s so he could feel the soft skin on his own.
“Bedroom. Now,” he growled, tearing himself away from Naruto’s neck.
They stumbled back to house and Itachi had never been more grateful for having the wedding in the backyard. Somehow, he was under the impression that his mother had anticipated this would happen and he knew that tomorrow everyone would mess with them, but right now, he could care less.
With a growl, he pressed Naruto up against the wall as soon as they were in their room and he attacked the skin presented to him. His hands worked to remove their shirts and once they were finally gone, he was able to fit his body against Naruto’s.
Underneath him, Naruto cried out as he attacked a dusky nipple with his mouth, while his hands skimmed up his sides. He ground his erection into Naruto’s thigh as his mouth trailed back up to capture the swollen lips.
“God Naruto I love you so much,” he whispered as Naruto’s hands came up to thread through his hair, tugging at the tie that held it back. He felt the tie come loose as his hair swept forward, brushing against his shoulders while Naruto pressed back against him.
Itachi gasped as Naruto grabbed the base of his length and gave it a harsh squeeze before nipping at his neck. The blond gave him a feral grin and pushed him back in the direction of the bed, where he felt his back colliding with the soft material. He blinked at the dominance that Naruto seemed to emit and he groaned as heat raced through his body; he didn’t think he would ever be aroused by being dominated.
Grunting slightly, he flipped their positions so Naruto was underneath him and his hands slid over the soft skin. The thought of loosing control scared him slightly; it brought about new feeling that he had never felt before and he wasn’t sure what to make of them. He was an Uchiha; he was always in control.
But a small voice supplied the fact that Naruto was also an Uchiha now.
“Not tonight love,” he whispered huskily into Naruto’s neck as he ground their clothed erections together. “Just feel for me, let me pleasure you.”
He nuzzled the sweaty column as his hand dipped inside Naruto’s pants to grab his hardened length, intent on carrying out his promise.
A/N: I know I said this was supposed to be up at the end of the week, and it's more or less the beginning, but this chapter absolutely hated me and didn't want to cooperate. But here it is now, better late than never I guess. And hopefully the last chapter will be up on time. It'll either be up sometime between Thursday and Sunday, since my parents are coming up and I won't be ale to get it up with them around. xP.
