*6 months later

Naruto looked up at the clock, expecting it to have moved since the last time he looked. Smiling he looked over the table he had set up for dinner. Today was special as it was his and Itachi 1 year anniversary. Once again he looked up at the clock, Ok, it’s 4 now and he should be home at 6 so he had time to shower and relax.,’ he thought as he headed upstairs.

Shutting the oven door he walked over to the counter and leaned against it as blue eyes looked at his cell phone. No messages, no voice mail from him. Where was he? He wondered as he walked back into the living room. It was eight and he was supposed to be here at six.

Shaking his head Naruto walked over to the window and looked out into the dark night. Deep down he knew the raven wouldn’t show. When Naruto told Itachi that he had a surprise for him the way Itachi hesitated than answered should have made him realize that he wasn’t going to show.

His heart ached a little at the thought of being brushed aside. He turned tear filled eyes from the window. Naruto walked into the kitchen and took the lasagna out of the oven and sat it on the counter. He hadn’t realized that more tears spilled from his eyes.

Before he met Itachi, he never cried.

Sasuke walked up the path toward his brother’s front door. He hated coming over here but he had to drop some files off. As he dark eyes took in the front of the house he could see a figure standing in the window looking out. It was Naruto, Itachi’s boyfriend. He hadn’t realized the he would be here.

The blonde had turned from the window as he stepped up to the door. His eyes looked…sad. He thought as he raised his hand to the doorbell.

Naruto sat at the table crying. He hated to cry. He wasn’t an emotional person but all this time with Itachi had tested his emotional state and he was failing…miserably.

The doorbell sound brought the blonde up to his feet. As he headed to the door he wiped the stray tears from his cheeks. He opened the door to another raven.

“Sasuke, what are you doing here?” A smile formed on his lips.

“Hey, I came to drop something off for my brother, is he here?” He asked as he closed the door behind him.

Sasuke could see the sadness in those blue eyes for a second, but it disappeared.

“Nope, he hasn’t come home yet. He was supposed to be here at six, but I guess he got held up at work.”

Nodding, “Ok, well I’ll leave these on his desk in his office.”

“Oh, alright.”

As Sasuke walked out of Itachi’s office he heard Naruto talking on the phone.

“You said you would be here at six. Where are you?” Naruto could hear what sounded like bar noises in the background.

“So I have to check in with you whenever I go out?” His voice held a sharp edge to it.

“No…no Itachi, I just wanted to know when you were coming home. I told you I had a surprise for you and….” Naruto could here Itachi say something to someone and heard that person laughing.

“Itachi…Itachi hello?” He called into the phone. All he heard was laughter and then he heard a male’s voice.

“Tell your wife that you’ll be home when you get there,” Laughter then the phone disconnected.

Naruto looked at the phone as he closed it. ‘What the…was he…was he...’ he didn’t want to believe it but…

“Naruto?”

Naruto felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around putting the phone in his pocket. He smiled at the other raven. “So, Sasuke, are you leaving?”

Sasuke saw the unshed tears but didn’t say anything. “Well I was but then I smelled this lasagna and it pulled me here.” He smiled.

Naruto turned toward the sink and wiped his eyes. Turning around he looked at the raven, “Would you like to join me for dinner?”

“It would be my pleasure,” smiling Sasuke took his jacket off then set about helping Naruto get the food ready.

~~3 hours later~~

They talked about everything as they ate. Sasuke was surprised that Naruto’s band was so well known. He was equally surprised that Naruto was so down to earth about their success.

At the end of the meal they cleared the table and as they did they talked more. When the dishes were done Naruto looked up at the clock, it was going on 11pm.

Sasuke saw the blonde looking at the clock. Once again he cursed his stupid brother. As he walked over to the blonde he could tell he was hurting on the inside by that fake smile he put on.
"Naruto, I don't think he's coming home tonight."

The smile slipped from his lips as he dropped into the nearest chair. "I know." his voice was soft but Sasuke heard him.

Tears began to fall from crystal blue eyes. He hated crying especially in front of his boyfriend’s brother. He quickly wiped his eyes, but the damn tears wouldn't stop. "Sorry...sorry you had to see me like this," he told the dark haired man.

Sasuke could see the pain in his eyes; he walked over to him and gathered him to his chest holding him.

Naruto was shocked; he felt the warmth coming from Sasuke as he held him tight. He dropped his hand to Sasuke's waist and hugged him back.

The raven could feel Naruto's body shaking from his tears.

"It's ok Naruto." He ran his fingers through silk blonde hair, trying to calm the blonde down.

Naruto lifted his tear stained cheeks up to look into sasuke's dark eyes, "it's not ok. I've been such a fool. I...I” Before Naruto could say anything else his lips were captured by Sasuke in a kiss that made his knees weak. He would have fallen if Sasuke had not been holding him up.

Naruto moaned into the kiss as it deepened, he moved closer to Sasuke as his arms moved up around his neck. He wanted more but he knew he couldn’t. As he stepped back his heart was beating a mile a minute as his head dropped to the raven’s shoulder. He stepped back as he looked at into Sasuke’s dark eyes.

“I can’t…” his blue eyes sad.

Sasuke couldn't believe he had just done that. "Naruto, I'm sorry..."

Shaking his head, “don’t be Sasuke. I think you’d better go before he comes home.”

Nodding Sasuke left the blond in the dining room. As he drove away he could still taste Naruto on his lips. His mind was reeling, ‘what just happened?’ he asked himself.

Naruto leaned against the bedroom door, his hand touching his lips. I can't believe that just happened. He...it... felt so good. He slid down the door as tears ran from his eyes again. He's such a crybaby tonight. Why was he crying now? He cried because his feelings for Sasuke were growing. Not just tonight, but then he realized that every time he would see the younger raven his eye did linger on him a little too long.

"Get a hold of yourself, it was just a kiss." He stood and went over to the bed. Without changing his clothes he dropped down and closed his tired eyes. His mind wondered to Itachi. Yes he did love him, but was he still in love with him.

Later that night Naruto was awaken from his sleep by being pulled from the bed. He ended up on the floor.

“What the hell….! He shouted as he looked up into the dark eyes of his boyfriend. He looked composed but the blonde could smell the alcohol. “Itachi?”

Smirking Itachi reached down and gripped Naruto tee shirt that he slept in. He pulled him up and started to pull the shirt off.

“Stop Itachi, you’re drunk,” Naruto pulled his shirt back down. He tried to step around the raven but was gripped by his arm.

“Who was here?” his voice low with an edge as he looked into Naruto’s eyes.

Looking at him, Naruto told him, “Sasuke stopped by to drop something off. He stayed for dinner. The dinner I made for us.” Anger flowed through him as he snatched his arm out of his hand. “Damn it Itachi, this was our 1 year anniversary. I thought you would want to spend it with me!”

The raven narrowed his eyes at the blonde. “I spent it the way I wanted to spend it.” He stepped up the Naruto and grabbed his arm again. He pulled him toward the bed and threw him down. “Now I want to celebrate our anniversary,” he smiled as he started to remove his clothes.

Naruto started to get up from the bed. ‘I’m not staying here. I’ll come back when he’s sober,’ he thought. As he stood white lights exploded behind his eyes as pain hit his face, hard. He fell back down to the bed. He looked up at Itachi as he held his face.

“You’re not going anywhere…little Naru…” the smile was dark as he stepped up to the bed.

Naruto couldn’t believe it. Itachi hit him…how could this happen. His mind was clouded as he felt Itachi on top of him. He closed his eyes; he didn’t want to look into his eyes. A tear slid from the corner of his blue eyes as he laid there.

~~3 weeks later~~~

The club was packed. Naruto looked through the curtains to see all of Nine Tails fans and smiled. That's why he loved performing; he loved the fact that their music made them happy. His smile slipped from his lips as his life came into view when his blue eyes took in the obsidian eyes of his boyfriend. He actually came, he thought. He hadn’t expected Itachi to show. He was hoping that he didn’t come.

Naruto found that when he was lonely he would call Sasuke and they would talk. They hadn’t mention that night but eventually they would have to talk about it. He wasn’t going to mention what happened with Itachi either. Sasuke would think him a fool for remaining with him. He loved talking to Sasuke, he didn’t want to lose that. Naruto had decided to invite Sasuke so he reserved a table for him. He wasn’t sure how Itachi would take having his brother as his guest and not him.

Well, he wasn't going to worry about it, apparently Sasuke knows the owner too. Haku as been Naruto's friend for the past 6 years. Haku has asked if they would do a charity concert and of course he said yes. As he stepped back he cleared his mind so he could concentrate on his fans and not his sorry ass life.

Sasuke smiled as he walked into the club. This would be the first time he's seen Naruto in concert. He remembered that night a year ago he saw the blonde sing but this is the first time with his band.

After their dinner he went out and bought a couple of their CDs and loved them. Naruto's voice draws you in and makes you feel each and every lyric just like the first time he saw him. As he walked toward an empty table marked reserved he smiled. 'Well he did say he would reserve a table for me.' he thought as he sat down. He ordered a drink and settled, waiting for the blonde to come on stage.

Itachi's dark eyes took in the crowds and all the screaming fans. He frowned. He was already irritated that there wasn’t a reserved seat for him. He was going to have to do something about this concert deal, he thought. Naruto didn't have to do concert at all, only studio work.

Smirking he'll 'mention’ it to him. He'll do it if he tells him. He liked the fame that came with being Naruto's boyfriend but he could do without the fans.

Just as he was taking a sip from his glass he saw his brother sitting in the back where the reserved tables were. 'What the hell was he doing here?' he wondered as he stood and walked over to the table.

Sasuke looked at all the fans that came to hear Naruto sing. The blonde told him that night that was why he loved singing. He loved making his fans happy. The waitress came and put his drink down, but once she moved his brother stood there looking at him. Naruto had told him that Itachi never comes to his concerts, 'what the hell?’

"So little brother, what brings you here?" Itachi asked looking a bit irritated that this was a reserved table. He glanced next to him. He didn't see that blonde haired woman.

"I was invited."

"Where's your girlfriend, what's her name? Ina?"

"Ino, I broke up with her 6 months ago. What brings you here?"

Smirking, "I've come to watch Naruto perform. I wish he wouldn't do these concerts though, they are so annoying. So this will be your first time hearing Naruto sing?"

Sasuke just nodded as he took in what his brother just told him. The younger raven couldn't believe what Itachi just said. Naruto loved performing and if his brother stops that it would devastate the blonde.

The lights started to dim signaling the start of the concert.

"Catch you after the show, little brother."

Sasuke watched as his brother turned and headed back to his table. As he watched him he did notice someone else sitting at the table with his brother. Narrowing his eyes he could have sworn that the other male kissed Itachi on the lips. He couldn’t see any thing else because the lights went all the way down as the curtains opened.

Naruto stood there with his bright smile on his lips, the crowd when wild.

“Thanks for coming out to support this great cause…”

Sasuke couldn’t take his eyes off of the blonde. He’s realized that his feeling for Naruto had grown stronger each day he was apart from him. Sasuke knew he shouldn’t be having these feelings for him. But it was hard not too. Taking a deep breath his eyes focused on the blonde as he finished explaining what charity he was sponsoring.

“Thanks again for all of your generous contributions. Now, just sit back and enjoy the music!” Smiling he walked back toward his band.

As the piano began to play Naruto turned around to look out into the audience. Smiling he started to sing.

Sasuke watched as he moved across the stage, his body in rhythm with the music.
His voice was drawing him in…

Naruto’s eyes roamed the faces, searching for one. His blue eyes locked with obsidian. He couldn’t pull away…

Closing his eyes he relished in the applause they received. He opened crystal blue to look for Itachi, once found his eyes widened his smile fading.

‘What?’ he thought as he watched Itachi pull another man toward him, capturing his lips in a searing kiss.

Willing his self to breathe he looked out into the crowd with his smile in place. Clearing his throat, “you all want more!” ‘Gods he wanted to die.’ He was such and idiot! After that night when he came home late and..., he should have ended it then, but…but Itachi apologized and…and….’Gods I am so stupid!’ He thought as he began another set.

Sasuke saw Naruto’s smile fade, wondering what caused this he turned his head to see what Naruto had seen. “Fuck,” Sasuke cursed as he watched Itachi, practically devoured the man’s lips he had brought.

His dark eyes swung back up to the stage to see Naruto smiling. It was fake he could tell. He had to see him after the show. His eyes went back to his brother, his very stupid brother. ‘How could he cheat on Naruto like that and right in front of him?’ Shaking his head he stood and headed toward the stage intending of speaking with Naruto before his brother.

Naruto’s heart was thumping inside his chest, loudly. He wondered did anyone else hear it. He finished the last song of the night as he looked out into the sea of faces. His eyes searching for the dark eyes that offered comfort but instead he saw Itachi looking at him, even smiling as he clapped. Blue eyes shifted to the empty space beside him and wondered…‘No, I saw what I saw,’ he told himself as he wished everyone a goodnight and a safe drive home.

He had to get out of there. He told the band he wasn’t feeling well and headed backstage to the dressing room to get his things. Naruto felt the tears welling up. He didn’t want to cry, but they spilled over as he rushed through the door. His back fell back against the door as a sob escaped his lips.

“Naruto?”

The blonde’s head came up to see Sasuke standing there watching him with concern in those dark eyes.

‘That’s why he didn’t see him out front, “Sasuke…what are you doing here?” his voice was soft as his eyes drifted down.

Sasuke walked over to the blonde. Placing a pale finger under his chin he lifted Naruto’s head. Tears glistened in blue eyes like diamonds. (I know it sounds sappy!) He didn’t like seeing tears in such beautiful eyes. “What happened?” Even though he already knew, he wanted to hear him say it. The raven knew it was cruel but it would make it real if he acknowledged that his brother was an ass.

Naruto wondered if he should say something. But, he didn’t want to get Sasuke involved in his problems. “Nothing, something was just in my eyes,” he told the raven as he tried to step away from him.

Sasuke didn’t let go. “Is it Itachi?” He asked. He knew what the blonde was thinking. He was getting involved regardless. His brother is a bastard. He’s played with other people’s hearts before.

The blonde’s head dropped to Sasuke’s broad shoulder as his tears flowed. “I don’t want you to get…”

“Stop worrying about me. I’m more worried about you. It hurts me to see you like this.”

Cerulean eyes went wide as he looked up into dark eyes.

“Come on I’m taking you home.”

“But Itachi is…”

“Fuck Itachi.” Sasuke growled as he waited for Naruto to gather his things. They left out the back door just as Itachi walked into the dressing room.

The older raven caught a glimpse of his boyfriend walking out the back door so he went over to see where the hell he was going and who with.

The car was familiar the blonde had gotten into. Smirking he walked back into the club. He was going to have a little talk with Naru-chan about who he can leave with once he gets home.
