A/n: one review huh? Well, here is chapter 2. This one was a pleasure
to write, so I was able to get it done easily. Don't expect all
chapters to come out this quickly... it was just fun to write :) And
also, I'm being light with the gore... I think I might kick it up in
the next few chapters.

2, the monster that everyone feared.
The rain fell harshly as the remains of what happened washed away.
The buildings returned to normal and everything seemed to be a normal
rainy day. The people that were fleeing for their lives poked their
heads out to see that the town was back to normal. Although they
still remembered freshly how close they came to death.
"What was that?" They asked to each other. Each responded with a
shake of the head. No one knew, and many of them had lost at least
one person that they cared about. It was devastating, and even more
terrifying since they felt the same kind of fear before. It was the
same as if the Kyuubi had come back. That fear drove them to think of
one person, the demon had been able to cause it. "We have to find
the demon!"
They looked everywhere, and yet found nothing. It was like he had
vanished. He was no longer in the hospital, but they wouldn't have
expected him to stay around. "The demon fled! He must have been the
cause of it!" They convinced themselves that Naruto was the cause
of their misfortune. "The Hokage must take action!" And they
quickly made their way to the Hokage tower.

"Tsunade-sama, what was that?" Shizune braced herself against the
book case as she let go of the board that was across the door. They
had managed to save themselves from the onslaught of demon insects
that wanted to claim their lives, but who knows when they would
return. "I have a bad feeling about this."
"You should," Tsunade said. Shizune turned her attention over to
the Hokage who was deep in thought. Her eyes were focused on the
table in front of her, and her face was a scowl. "Those were not of
the living realm. They were sent here to kill us all." Shizune's
face paled as she walked over to the Hokage's desk and sat down in a
chair in front of Tsunade. "We must find Naruto."
"What would Naruto-kun have to do with this?"
"Call it intuition."
The sound of footsteps down the hall made the two relieved. There
were still other survivors after all. "Hokage-sama!" A few
seconds later, Kakashi bashed through the door and let out a relieved
sigh as he saw Tsunade. "Thank God, you're ok."
"Of course Kakashi, now what is it?"
"It's chaos down there Hokage-sama. From what we saw those things
came from the hospital, and Naruto is MIA." He could see the
tensing of the Hokage's face and knew it would be harsh news to take.
"There is more than a hundred dead or missing, and one... was
brutally killed." Tsunade's eyes widened and she felt a ping of
anger at whoever caused this disaster. "Iruka... was the one."
"THAT'S RIDICULOUS!"
Kakashi stepped back at Tsunade's outburst. "Who would want to do
anything to Iruka unless..."
"They were trying to shake Naruto," Kakashi finished.
"FIND HIM, NOW!"
Kakashi and the ninja that were with him quickly bowed and took their
leave. Searching the town for a lone boy that was very adept in
tricking people would be a bit tricky, even if he was just a genin.
They had their work cut out for them, even if it was impossible.
"Tsunade-sama, could Naruto have done this?" Shizune didn't want
to know that the little boy she had come to know as a friend could do
something so horrible as to unleash an army of deadly insects to kill
them all. "I can't imagine Naruto doing something like this, there
must be another explanation." Turning to Tsunade, she saw the grim
look on her face and expected the worse.
"No," Tsunade said, "this can't be his doing. At least not
completely." Shizune calmed down and took her seat again as Tsunade
looked forward. "Evil may reside in him, and evil may have brought
him into this world... but evil does not rule Naruto."
"It wasn't the Akatsuki was it?"
The question wasn't directed to Shizune as she lifted her head.
Tsunade turned over towards the side of the room to see Jiraiya
standing near the bookcase looking at the window. "Was it?"
Tsunade asked. The look on Jiraiya's face was uncertainty. He even
couldn't say for sure, which was never a good sign.
"No, this was not their doing." He seemed a bit doubtful, but the
conclusion stood. "The way Naruto disappeared, and those monsters
came into existence are not means at which a human can use."
Jiraiya seemed confident now as he stepped forward into the light.
"But the fact that Naruto can't be found and the creatures
disappeared makes me nervous."
"Maybe they already have him... right?"
Jiraiya answered Tsunade's Question with a nod as he sat down on
another chair in front of Tsunade. "We can't let Naruto fall into
anyone's hands. I was going to take him for a training mission, but
now I'm not sure what we should do."
"We have to find him first," Tsunade interrupted.
"Yeah... if he's still of the living realm."

The darkness engulfed Naruto with great force as he lied on the
gravel road. He was out of it, but he could see what was going on.
People passed by him, yet they didn't see him. It was like he didn't
even exist to them. He tried to speak up to protest every time
someone came by, but his voice wouldn't carry, and he was completely
silent.
Every muscle in his body felt stiff, and he couldn't move them. Like
paralysis he writhed on the ground as best he could. Yet he wasn't
able to move much at all. With everything that had happened, he knew
that he would have to get out of the area soon. If that happened
again, then there was little chance that he could escape Zabuza's
wrath the next time. I've got to hurry up...
Looking at the floor, he felt his vision cloud. Something was beneath
him, calling out to him. A voice he had not yet heard. Who's
calling me? All his struggle was forgotten as he stared downward
blankly, muttering unconsciously. Thoughts becoming numb, his eyes
lost their shine as his vision picked up a fiery core deep beneath
him. What is it?
Naruto saw what no one else did, a deep chasm with a fiery river of
lava. Metal platforms were hovering over it, steaming as the heat
continued to rise in their frame. Standing directly below him though
was a person not unlike himself. Older than himself, he had blond
spiky hair and blue eyes. Yet he seemed pale, and his eyes did not
shine either. Yet he was unmistakably familiar. Who is reaching
for me? Naruto could have even thought he could smell him. A
smell that was just like his own.
Gears turned in the fiery pit, moving around the man's body. He
continued to look up at Naruto with dead doll's eyes. Growing
unnerved, Naruto struggled to break eye contact, but he couldn't help
but be entranced by the man. Who are you? And what do you want
from me? The man, as if hearing his thoughts began to chuckle as
he smirked up towards Naruto. Yet he said nothing, holding his
silence and reaching out to Naruto through unseen methods.
There was a strange feeling that Naruto had never felt before. He
felt like he knew the person that he saw, yet he knew they had never
met in their lives. Their eyes were focused on each other as the fire
engulfed the man, and Naruto started to feel aflame as well. Yet his
fire was fueled by his long forgotten hatred... that he thought he
had left behind him.
Less than an hour later, the sky began to darken. Everyone stopped
dead in their tracks as they looked up at the sky. The clouds
converged over Konoha, spiraling and becoming thicker. The sun was
quickly blocked out and eventually even the ninja had trouble seeing
a foot in front of their faces. What in the world is going on?
Kakashi asked himself.
A chill ran up his back as he saw the buildings begin to dissolve.
Red liquid began pouring from the cracks in the walls and ground,
forming vines that snaked across the buildings and road. The darkness
got thicker as a creepy mist formed around him. Something is in
here with me. He could feel something rising from the ground, yet
there was no ground breaking noise. It was like it was materializing
from the soil. Impossible!
His eyes widened as he turned around in haste. A hand had reached up
out of the ground and slammed down just a few feet from Kakashi's
feet. It's claws gripped the ground as it slowly slid up from the
ground, not making a single crack!
The beast that emerged was something out of a horror movie. Its skin
was pale and stripped. Parts showed through to the bone, and it
looked like it was decaying. The blue veins stuck out greatly on all
parts of its body as it pulled even its feet up from the ground.
Looking up, the thing's face was horrific. The eyes were gouged out
and there were spikes sticking into the skin.
"This can't be happening!" Despite all of his training, Kakashi
was afraid. There was no one casting a technique to bring things back
to life, but he had hope that he could vanquish the creature. Forming
a few seals Kakashi quickly let out a volley of fireballs at the
beast while jumping back. Take that. He watched as the flames
engulfed it, happy that it was over.
When he turned to leave though, A high pitched scream caught his ear.
He turned around to see the creature running towards him with mouth
wide open, the flames still caught on its body. "Your kidding!"
His eyes widened as he tried the best he could do for another attack.
I
know your going to help me on this one Obito.

Naruto stirred from the ground. He was able to move at least, yet he
could see the sky... and he didn't like it. What if Zabuza comes
after me again? Thinking it would be best not to linger, Naruto
took off down the road, hoping to meet someone. "I've got to find
Sakura-chan." If anything happened to her, Naruto would probably
never be able to forgive himself.
Naruto, although meaning the best, had no idea where Sakura was. He
looked everywhere, attempting to find her, yet he couldn't seem to
find any trace of her. She wasn't on the bridge they usually met at,
or any of the places she frequented in her spare time. Where is
she?
Naruto began to become unnerved as a pressure ate at his heart. He
had seen what happened to one person that he cared about. What
if Sakura also shared the same fate that he did? I can't let that
happen! I will protect her. Although his opportunity to do so was
growing slimmer as the insects started to emerge from every corner of
the town. Soon they'll start killing...
Naruto had one more place that he could check. The very same place
that it all started. If there was an answer, then he could hopefully
find it there. He was in such a panic last time, there was obviously
little chance that he could have seen it after running from Zabuza.
Hopefully he's still looking for me on the streets.
When the hospital came into view, it was just like every other
building, tainted with decay and blood. The rotting frame creaked as
he approached, making the only sound over the clattering of insects.
This isn't just a dream... is it?
Opening the door slowly, Naruto gazed into the dark lobby. There was
no sign of any life, even though it should have been full of nurses
and patients. It confused him, but they obviously must have taken
shelter elsewhere. It was silent inside the building as Naruto
crossed the threshold into the lobby, effectively shutting the door
behind him. He looked back with wide eyes but calmed down, he could
break it open anyways. Can't loose my head now...
Naruto held his jaws closed with his right hand as he walked through
the dark entrance. There could be someone in the shadows watching
him, ready to pounce and suck his blood out for all he knew. But
after tripping over about ten foot stools, Naruto realized that there
was no one there. They would have already made their move if they
did.
He walked forward strongly into the main hall and turned the corner
at the end. The hallway was illuminated by the moon, which oddly
enough was not supposed to be up anymore. The shadows of falling
blossoms made the hallway completely scary, and Naruto swallowed
nervously. Alright, I just have to close my eyes and make it down
the hallway... nothing serious.
Naruto shut his eyes tightly and clenched his fists. Walking briskly
down the hall he kept moving with no intention of stopping. Yet as he
kept walking he felt something else draw close to him, and as he felt
the feeling increase... he hit something. It wasn't a cold hard wall,
but a bit bouncy, and covered with liquid... Oh shit...
Naruto slowly opened his eyes and looked upwards. As he looked up his
eyes widened in pure fear. Everything else had shut down as he
reached the top of his vision, Naruto was purely afraid. "There's
no way you could be..."

"AAAAAH!" Back outside Kakashi recoiled in pain. His sharingan
blazed as his hand separated from the beast's stomach. He had charged
a chidori straight through the creature's torso. His hand was
engulfed in a red haze, and slowly but surely his hand was being
eaten away. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" His voice echoed through the
street as his arm dissolved to the elbow, dropping blood to the
ground.
The creature lashed out and punched Kakashi in the face, sending him
spiraling back to the ground. Kakashi landed with a loud thump and he
struggled to look back up to the beast. Unfortunately, the damage he
had done with the chidori was being healed with the red mist, and he
felt helpless for one of the first times in his life.
"Someone... help me."
