Naruto felt sick, he really did. He felt like it was his fault, everything was his fault. He was the bad guy here. He had allowed Yuudai to go on that mission and get hurt.
Base had explained what happened and now it seemed that after a huge fight, Yuudai’s body reverted back to the shattered raped form it was in before the god’s saved him. Naruto knew that if he hadn’t let Sasuke go and talk to Yuudai to try and patch things up between them, Yuudai never would have run off, and Base and him may not have had that fight.
Naruto felt like a screw up. Every time he tried to be a mother to Yuudai, something fucked up. Every time he tried to get close to Yuudai, something always flashed back. Yuudai… always reminded him of… that horrible month. Naruto tried to ignore it, but over the years it got worse and soon Yuudai began to change. Perhaps he caught on to Naruto’s reactions?
Yuudai began to distance himself. He moved out, he stopped going to family get-togethers, and he even stopped calling Naruto mom. It hurt Naruto. He’d hoped it was a phase, but he should have known better. Yuudai didn’t have phases.
Naruto hoped that when Sasuke had a talk with Yuudai, the boy would understand Sasuke wasn’t completely evil. What he did to Naruto was a mistake and he wished he could go back and stop himself from doing it. But when Sasuke had walked down those stairs and said he’d ‘Screwed up’… Naruto knew something had happened. He ran to the room to talk to Yuudai, but the boy was gone. Sasuke was in the dog house and he told Naruto everything. Naruto wasn’t angry Sasuke had slapped Yuudai. Yuudai had spat at Sasuke. Naruto knew Yuudai needed a good harsh lesson in respect to his elders.
But when Sasuke admitted he’d pinned the boy down and told Yuudai he was the ‘unwanted child of a rapist’… Naruto had lost it. He nearly killed Sasuke with his bare hands. He’d hit the man over and over again until Gaara had pried him off. Naruto was in tears screaming at Sasuke. Though he couldn’t remember what it was, he assumed it was bad. Sasuke had never looked so heartbroken before. Naruto would have to apologize later.
Naruto left soon after to find Yuudai. When he’d seen Base running to the entrance, he stopped the man and found out Yuudai was at the hospital. So he’d rushed there and now he sat in a chair beside Yuudai’s bed.
Yuudai’s body had reacted to the sudden abuse it was thrown into. His already ‘changing’ body had rejected a life that was beginning to form. Yuudai had miscarried before he even got pregnant. It was hard for Naruto to hear that. His son would have been pregnant with a demon child, not that it would have mattered to Naruto. When Yuudai’s body was thrown into such pain and agony, his body changing so he could bear a child, the small form beginning to grow was crushed. So much blood had rushed out of the boy.
Yuudai was still unconscious from all the drugs pumped into his weakened body. The doctor had done an operation to get rid of what was left of the forming life. Yuudai wasn’t expected to awaken for at least a few hours.
Naruto ran a hand through Yuudai’s long black hair. It had been so long since he and Yuudai had spent any alone time together. Naruto had three other children to take care of, but Yuudai was his first. He never regretted his decision to keep Yuudai, but having Naruto as a mom, it seemed Yuudai’s life was doomed from the beginning. Naruto was a curse… hurting the ones he loved dearly. Yuudai was no exception.
“I’m sorry… If I could go back…I’d never have you come into this world…. If I could… I’m a horrible person.” Naruto held back the tears that threatened to fall from his zircon eyes. He hated himself for letting Yuudai into the world to be hurt. He never regretted having Yuudai, but he regretted being Yuudai’s mother. He didn’t deserve such a gifted son.
“Don’t say that!”
Naruto jumped up eyes wide. He looked at the door and frowned. The red head from the desert stood there, tears rushing down his cheeks. Naruto looked away from the man. This man had no right to be listening in on what Naruto had to say to himself.
“Yuudai chose you! You be Yuudai’s mother! He chose before having born! He chose you to be his mother…” Naruto frowned more; he stood up glaring at Shinakio.
“It’s none of your business! It’s rude to listen in on someone else’s conversation!” Shinakio shook his head, tears falling onto the floor. His body began to shake as he fought back the sobs.
“Y-Yuudai hurting…. hurting so much… Yuudai chose you to be mother… Yuudai want you to be mother… Not fair make Yuudai feel bad!”
“Make him feel bad!? How?!”
“You make Yuudai… feel he no wanted…” Naruto’s eyes narrowed dangerously at the man in front of him. He never once said anything to make Yuudai feel he was unwanted! He loved Yuudai! He loved Yuudai with all his heart! I’d never have you come into this world. Naruto’s eyes went wide hearing his voice echo from the Kyuubi’s cage in the back of his mind. He did say that, but he didn’t mean it like that! He never meant he didn’t want Yuudai! If he could go back, he’d of found Yuudai a good home, somewhere not training children to be Nin. Yuudai would have been safe from Naruto’s fearful eyes, and Yuudai wouldn’t have been sent on any missions where he would have been hurt!
But then you never would have had Yuudai as your son. Naruto frowned more lowering his head. Kyuubi was right, she was always right. He sat down on the chair again, his hands covering his eyes letting the tears fall freely. He’d never meant to cause Yuudai so much emotional harm! He loved Yuudai! He loved the boy so much it hurt him. Naruto loved all his children, but he felt closer to Yuudai. Maybe it was because Yuudai was his first child, maybe it was because all he went through just to keep Yuudai. Naruto shivered feeling arms wrap around him holding him close. He shook looking up from his hand. Shinakio was holding him close, a small smile on his face, tears still running down his cheeks. It clicked in Naruto’s mind… the boy never had a mother figure, he knew what it was like to be unwanted, and he didn’t want Yuudai to feel like that. Naruto stood up hugging Shinakio back. Suddenly, Naruto wanted to add to his family.

It was past midnight when the two figures jumped over the gates of Suna, unseen by the guards on duty. The two ran along the roof tops, keeping out of sight of the few villagers still out and about drinking, not wanting to get caught by the guards. They didn’t have time to wait for Gaara to come get them. The shorter of the two stood on the roof top staring at the hospital. He could smell the object of his desire and he felt his pants tighten a bit. The taller snarled softly, his eyes narrowing at the brown haired boy.
“Do not get any ideas. You touch him and I’ll kill you.”The smaller simply rolled his golden eye. He wouldn’t force anyone to do anything. He would simply get the one he wanted to want him back. He was happy to have his brother lead him here to their hide out. He’d lost their scent back in the desert after they’d left his den days ago. He was agitated about that, but when his brother had come back to the forest demanding help, he was more than happy to follow his younger brother to Suna. He would use his powers to help the boy again, and would then stay and work his charm on the boy.
“Do not worry dear brother… I will not touch him… unless he wants me to.” Base growled softly at his brother. He wanted to kill the bastard, but Eiji was the only one who could help Yuudai and undo the damage Base caused.
