Chapter 17: Prisonbreak

The Hidden Leaf Shinobi Prison

Naruto was shoved forward by the two fake Sannin who walked behind him; they were followed by Danzō and the two councillors. They entered the prison’s courtyard with Naruto leading the way before entering the prison proper.

‘Alright time to put this plan into action.’ Naruto thought as he tried to focus his senses.

“Hey Kurama can you boost my senses?” Naruto asked the fox.

“Alright I’ll help.” Kurama replied as he linked their senses together.

Naruto enhanced sense of smell almost immediately picked up Tsunade’s scent directly to his left. Looking into the cell Naruto expected to see Tsunade instead of a female Tsunade he saw an unconscious old man.

‘What’s going on here? Why am I smelling her scent and sensing her chakra from an old man?’ Naruto thought as he stared at the unconscious old man.

Then it clicked altogether he knew what was going, why he had been sensing two scents from the two fake Sannin.

“Granny Tsunade is that you?” Naruto said looking at the unconscious old man.

“Lady Tsunade?” Shizune whispered as she looked between Naruto and the old man in the cell.

“Quite you brat, you’ll serve us or you will rot in here forever.” Danzō snarled as he rubbed his face where Naruto had hit him.

“So that was your plan. To have one of you impersonate Lady Tsunade and have her resign as Hokage and give it to Danzō?” Shizune yelled angrily at the fake Tsunade who had a wicked grin on her face.

With Shizune distracting the fakes and Danzō, Naruto unsealed Fragarach from his left vambrace. His eyes aglow as the magic of the sword mixed with his wind nature chakra. He raised the sword high above his head and slashed at the cell bars with a diagonal forehand and backhand creating a giant X of howling razor sharp wind. The giant X smashed into the cell bars and cut them to ribbons and shards of metal. He sealed away the sword back into his left vambrace and stepped into the cell and placed his hand on the old man’s shoulder.

“Release.” Naruto called as he poured chakra into his hand and into the old man who burst into smoke.

As the smoke cleared lying where the old man had been was a bruised Tsunade. Out in the main hall of the prison the fake Tsunade burst into smoke and as the smoke cleared standing where the fake Tsunade had been was the female elder Koharu.

  Tsunade’s eyes fluttered open and she looked up at Naruto who was kneeling above her.

“Naruto what’s going on, where am I?” Tsunade moaned placing a hand against her throbbing temple.

“You are in the Hidden Leaf’s shinobi prison.” Naruto replied as he helped Tsunade sit up.

“What do you mean I’m in the shinobi prison?” Tsunade asked surprised as she finally looked around at her surroundings. To her surprise she watched as her friend and student yelled at Danzō, Koharu and her clone, the fake Jiraiya and what Naruto guessed was a clone of Homura.

“It seems they had an alternative plan in case I failed, they were going to impersonate you and have your clone abdicate your position and give it to Danzō.” Naruto said as they watched the yelling Shizune slap the fake Jiraiya who burst into a cloud of smoke. “Yes as we thought he was also a clone so where is the real Jiraiya.

“Naruto did you know Jiraiya is your godfather?” asked the slightly groggy Sannin as she rested her head on the blonde’s chest.

“Yes I know it is why I hate him. He abandoned me to a life of misery and pain to chase some rogue ninja.” Naruto muttered angrily.

“Can you find him for me why I deal with this?” Tsunade asked.

“For you personally or as an order?” Naruto asked.

“It is a request but if you want I can make it an official mission.” Tsunade offered.

“No I’ll search as a favor to you but can you also add it to my record as a mission?” Naruto asked as he helped her stand up.

“How about an A-Rank mission?” Tsunade joked as Naruto steadied her as she went to take her first step.

“Perfect I’ll take it.” Naruto laughed as he made a cross seal. “Shadow Clone Jutsu.” He yelled and in front of them one hundred shadow clones emerged from the one hundred smoke clouds.

The clones rushed out of the cell and began to search the entire prison complex. Each one went from cell to cell trying to sense Jiraiya’s chakra or smell his scent. From top to bottom and front to back, upside down and inside out the clones checked the prison.

“Granny Tsunade he isn’t here, he’s nowhere in the prison.” Naruto said as he followed the blonde Sannin as she walked up behind the angry Shizune and placed her hand on the black haired woman’s shoulder.

“Lady Tsunade are you all right?” Shizune asked as she spun around to face her teacher.

“I’m fine Shizune, thanks to Naruto.” Tsunade replied as she glared at Danzō and the two elders and remembered what happened back at the farming village.

Tsunade was walking back to the hotel she was staying at. She had left Jiraiya back at the bar with a bloody nose after he had groped her boobs in a drunken stupor. “Fucking pervert, he never learns.” She muttered as she walked down a side street.

Blushing she admonished herself about being a pervert when she thought back to the night before when she had returned to her room she shared with Shizune and found it deserted. Deciding to look in on Naruto in the next room, she had been somewhat surprised when she heard Naruto and Shizune in the shower.

Not watching where she was walking she walked straight into someone.

“Hello Tsunade how are you?” a dark voice asked.

Tsunade glared at the bandaged face in front of her. Standing behind the bandaged man were two grey haired elders.

“What do you three want, why the hell are you here?” Tsunade asked angrily as she glared at each of them.

“Oh nothing much just for you to step down from being the Hokage.” Danzō said with an evil grin on his face as his cane struck out and hit Tsunade in the stomach doubling her over. As Tsunade righted herself Koharu stepped forward and slapped a tag of some sort onto her forehead.

The last thing she remembered was falling to the ground before she blacked out.

“Where is Jiraiya, what have you done with him?” Tsunade asked angrily.

“I believe he is somewhere in the village as my guest. It was so kind of you to bring me my weapon Tsunade he got away from me once before but he won’t get away again.” Danzō answered with a sneer.

“You deluded fools; you have walked into my trap.” Tsunade laughed as her strength returned.

“I’ll kill you all before you can make me a slave again.” Naruto growled as he slipped into a two tailed Chakra Cloak distracting Danzō and the two elders and the clone of Koharu. With everyone distracted by the original, one of Naruto’s clones walked in between Tsunade and Shizune.

“Granny, Shizune come with me the boss has a plan, plus you’re gonna need help to search for that perverted old man.” The Naruto clone said as he and a handful of clones led them towards the entrance of the prison.

The clones led the two females out of the prison and out on to the earthen bridge across the lake of lava. They were halfway across when Kakashi and Yūgao in her ANBU mask appeared in front of them.

“Lady Tsunade what’s going on?” Kakashi asked he looked between Tsunade, Shizune and the Naruto clones.

“Seems our dear councilors Koharu and Homura have been in league with Danzō and his traitorous plans.” Tsunade said as she watched Yūgao place her hands on the lead clone’s shoulders.

“Where’s Naruto, is he ok?” Yūgao asked looking around.

“The boss is back there dealing with the traitors.” The clone said pointing his thumb over his shoulder at the prison they had just left.

“So what’s the plan Lady Tsunade?” Kakashi asked drawing the others attention back to him and the mission at hand.

“We need to find Jiraiya he is somewhere in the village probably in a hidden facility or a Root hideout.” Tsunade said before continuing, “Kakashi I need you to gather the village’s shinobi loyal to me and that do not have any ill will towards Naruto.” Tsunade said.

Kakashi saluted with his fist over his heart. “As you command Lady Hokage.” Kakashi said before disappearing in a swirl of leaves.

“A hidden hideout? I know where one of them is.” The lead Naruto clone said aloud.

“Then lead the way and we’ll leave one of you clones behind for Kakashi to rendezvous with.” Tsunade said as the lead clone led them across the bridge and around the edge of the village to the outer wall.

“Naruto where is this hideout we are going to located?” Tsunade asked the blonde clone who was leading them along the wall.

“It’s outside the village walls about ten minutes from the wall in a hidden glade.” The clone replied over his shoulder before stopping at a repaired part of the wall.

“This is where the boss came over the wall the first time he escaped from this hideout.” The clone said before running up the wall to the battlements above. He waved down to the others motioning for them to follow him up and over.

The clone led them through the forest to the clearing where the original Naruto had massacred the Sound and Stone shinobi. “Ah it seems they still haven’t found these poor unfortunate invaders that the boss massacred single-handedly. The chatty clone said as he entered the clearing and looking for the hidden entrance to Danzō’s hidden prison.

“Ah there it is. If you didn’t know it was here you could walk right by it and never know it was there.” The clone said as he pulled aside a bush to reveal a hidden door that blended into the ground.

“You mean this is where Naruto was being held during the exams?” Yūgao asked the clone as she fingered the katana strapped to her back.

“Yes this is where the boss was tortured so that Kurama would possess his body and then be put under Danzō’s control with his stolen Sharingan.” The clone spat angrily as he forced the hidden door open.

“Wait you’re telling me Danzō has a Sharingan?” Tsunade asked in disbelief.

“Yes it is in his right eye under those bandages. When Kakashi seen it he said it belonged to someone called Shisui Uchiha.” The clone replied as the others formed up behind him.

Behind them in a swirl of leaves appeared Hinata, Haku, Karin, Fuu, Kakashi, Shikaku, Inoichi, Chōza, Tsume, Hana, Hiashi, Gai, Asuma and Kurenai and the rest of Yūgao’s ANBU squad as well as the clone that was left behind at the prison bridge.

“You’re just in time, we are about to check out this hideout.” Tsunade said looking at the assembled Jōnin the two Chūnin and the three Genin.

They followed the clones down into the hideout, though the twisting corridor to the cell where Naruto was once held. The cell walls were still busted, the iron cell bars twisted and bent, holes peppered the walls where people had crashed into them, and the blood of the doctor still stained the cold floor.

“Hehe nothing has changed since the boss busted out of here.” The lead clone chuckled as the other clones spread out and focused their senses on finding Jiraiya.

“I found his scent it’s faint but it is here.” One of the clones said as he moved further down the corridor following the trail of Jiraiya’s scent.

“Yes I can smell it to.” Another clone said as he and the first clone to speak led the way along the corridor.

Naruto stood between Danzō, the councilors and the clone of Koharu and the prison entrance that his clones had left through with Tsunade and Shizune.

“You have interfered with my plans for the last time boy!” Danzō growled as he began unwinding the bandages that covered half his face.

“That stolen Sharingan won’t work on us this time.” Naruto grinned as he unsealed Fragarach from his left vambrace. His eyes glowed blue as the magic of the sword began to fuse and mix with his chakra.

“What kind of sword is that, where did he get it?” Koharu asked as she looked at the two glowing blue runes on the sword’s cross guard.

“Who cares just kill the brat and we’ll reseal the fox into another host body.” Danzō growled as he finished unwinding the bandages and letting them fall to the floor.

Naruto using both hands pulled the blade in front of his face the cross guard just under Naruto’s glowing eyes shielding him from the influence of the Sharingan.

“Kurama how about an upgrade to a stronger chakra cloak?” Naruto asked the fox as he stared across at the traitors across from him.

“Sounds like a good idea how about a five tailed cloak?” The fox replied as he began sending chakra to Naruto.

Naruto was enveloped in a vortex of spinning blue and red chakra. Naruto emerged from the vortex of chakra covered in a cloak of orange chakra, the sword in his hand glowed blue and the whistling of hurricane-like wind surrounded it. His eyes were glowing in dual colors his cerulean blue right eye glowed blue in reaction to the bonding of his chakra and the magic of the sword, his crimson red left eye was glowing red in reaction to the fox’s chakra flowing through his body.

“Just a freak, nothing more, nothing less, even being called an animal or demon is too nice for you brat.” Koharu smiled wickedly and paid dearly for it.

Naruto charged forward, he appeared to disappear in the blink of an eye and instantly reappear in front of the female elder Koharu, with a single backhand swing of Fragarach he lopped off her head, blood spurting up like a fountain drenching half of Naruto’s face and chest. As Koharu’s headless body slumped to the floor her clone that had posed as Tsunade exploded in a burst of smoke.

“One down two more to go.” Naruto said in a haunting voice as he unsealed Angurvadal from his right vambrace. With both swords unsealed and being held in each chakra claw like hand, Fragarach in Naruto’s left and Angurvadal in his right hand, he turned to face Homura and Danzō.

Naruto watched as Homura put his hands together in a cross seal and summoned a single lone shadow clone.

“One clone that’s it, is that all you can produce?” Naruto laughed, laughing even louder and harder at the angry grimace on Homura’s face.

  Homura and his clone attacked Naruto together, both unsealing a katana from a hidden spot on their sleeves. “You’re not the only one who can seal weapons into their clothes brat.” Homura said as he lunged forward with a straight blade aimed for the center of Naruto’s chest. The clone leapt over the lunging Homura and slashed downwards with his own blade trying to cut through Naruto from left shoulder to right hip.

Naruto swept Angurvadal under the lunging blade and parried it upwards into the downwards slash of the clone’s sword. The two swords crashed together leaving them both the original Homura and his clone open to Naruto’s counterattack. Naruto thrust Fragarach through Homura’s chest. The blade pierced through flesh and bone like a hot knife through butter. Naruto twisted the blade and yanked the blade backhand through Homura’s chest, the blade’s air elemental magic infused with Naruto’s wind nature chakra making easy work of the bloody kill. Fragarach emerged from Homura’s chest in a spurt of blood and bone.

“You’re next asshole.” Naruto growled as he lunged at Danzō bringing Fragarach up for a backhand slash aimed at Danzō’s neck. Danzō countered using his cane to try and block the powerful sword which cut through the feeble defense.

“Got to do better than that, keep this up and you’ll be dead sooner rather than later.” Naruto chuckled as Danzō quickstepped back away from the blonde who just laughed and lunged after him this time leading with Angurvadal. Danzō continued to retreat from the advancing Naruto until he was backed into the solid stone wall of the prison.

“Gotcha now,” Naruto chuckled as he faked a lunging strike with Fragarach at Danzō’s chest. As Naruto had predicted Danzō had dodged to the left (Naruto’s right) away from the lunging Fragarach. Naruto smiled as he slashed a forehand strike at Danzō’s hip only for the sound of ringing steel to make his smile fade away. Naruto looked at where Danzō had blocked Angurvadal with his own katana.

“Finally finished with the fun and games?” Naruto quipped as he back stepped away from the smiling Danzō.

“Yes I think it is about time we stop playing around.” Danzō said as he stood casually swinging his sword back and forth in front of him.

Naruto grinned as he jumped at Danzō with both swords raised over his shoulder ready to slash through the arrogant old man. Danzō blocked the two swords with his katana and ducked Naruto’s rolling kick, but was caught with Naruto’s follow-up mule kick. The kick caught him in the face sending him backwards into the stone wall. Angrily Danzō ripped off the Bandages on his right arm revealing his entire arm was embedded with ten or so Sharingans.

“What the fuck are you doing with all those Sharingan eyes?” Naruto asked disgusted by the sight in front of him and people of the village called him a freak and a monster.

“I harvested them when the Uchiha clan was annihilated by one of their own.” Danzō replied as he studied the blonde across from him.

“Naruto seal up the swords we’re going to need to go all out for this fight.” Kurama said in Naruto’s head. The blonde followed the fox’s advice resealing Fragarach and Angurvadal back into his vambraces.

A vortex of dense blood red chakra swirled around Naruto covering his body from head to toe. As the vortex disappeared Naruto in a seven tailed Stage Two transformation stepped out of the disappearing chakra.

As Danzō opened his mouth to speak Naruto flickered from where he had been standing to instantly reappear in front of Danzō just as he followed through with his right hook. Naruto connected with Danzō’s cheek sending him flying sideways to smash into the thick outer wall of the prison. The walls of the prison shook as a massive dust cloud obscured the area where Danzō had impacted against the wall creating a crater in the thick stone walls.

‘What the fuck is up with this guy he should have been flattened.’ Naruto thought as he watched Danzō walk out of the dust cloud that enveloped that corner of the prison.

“Look, look at his arm, half of the Sharingans have closed.” Kurama said in their shared consciousness. Naruto looked at Danzō’s arm and could see the five Sharingans on the outside of his arm were all closed shut.

‘Is that how he survived that punch?’ Naruto thought into his shared consciousness.

   “Well let’s test it by hitting him with something he can’t block or dodge.” Kurama said with a wicked grin as Naruto instantly caught on to the fox’s plan.

“Let’s see if you can take this?” Naruto muttered as he and Kurama prepared a special surprise for the arrogant prick in front of them. In front of Naruto’s face small balls of normal blue chakra and demonic red chakra began to smash together forming a sphere of dense black chakra.

“Really you’re going to throw a Tailed Beast Bomb at me?” Danzō laughed as Naruto swallowed the chakra ball with a wicked grin.

‘Nope, now take this.’ Naruto thought as he fired a beam like version of the Tailed Beast Bomb straight at Danzō cutting the traitor in half from head to toe. Naruto closed his mouth and watched as the two halves of Danzō disappeared and a whole Danzō emerged from thin air behind him.

“You stupid Demon brat did you really think that would affect me?” Danzō chuckled hauntingly as he took a glance at his arm.

Naruto also glanced at the arm to see that only one eye remained open. ‘He’s so dead.’ The two consciousnesses of Naruto and Kurama thought together. Naruto spun around and fired of five small Tailed Beast Bombs that burst into multiple smaller versions of the bombs. Multiple bombs smashed into Danzō’s chest exploding on contact. Danzō was engulfed in multiple explosions his body being torn apart from all the explosions. Around the prison other miniature bombs smashed into the walls and floor of the prison rocking it to its foundations, the walls being blown outwards, the rubble erupting out into the molten lake of lava.

  Naruto watched closely as Danzō’s ruined body began to disappear. “Alright Kurama now.” Naruto said to the fox as he allowed Kurama to take control of their shared body enhancing their vision, hearing, sense of smell and chakra sense.

Kurama spun around on his right foot just as Danzō began to emerge from thin air. ‘Got you now, you piece of shit.’ Kurama growled in thought as he opened his mouth and fired a single normal sized Tailed Beast Bomb that smashed into Danzō’s chest and exploded obliterating the front of the prison. Jumping backwards away from the blast radius of the first explosion Kurama again opened his mouth and began firing a continuous barrage of miniature bombs into the explosion of swirling chakra.

The blast waves of the continued barrage sent Kurama flying backwards to crash into the back wall of the prison. Kurama landed on all fours as he fell to the floor from the crater he had created when smashing into the wall.

“One last big one he won’t survive this.” Kurama said to Naruto in his shared consciousness. Opening his mouth his seven tails smashed into the floor anchoring him to the floor and keeping his body stable. Just above his open mouth the spheres of blue and red chakra again began to smash together and mix, becoming a large sphere of dense black chakra. The sphere grew until it was twice the size of their head before Kurama swallowed it and began to process the chakra into a massive Tailed Beast Bomb.

Kurama fired off the Giant Tailed Beast Bomb straight at the swirling mass of chakra. Just as the bomb left his mouth Kurama jumped high into the air and fired off a second giant bomb as the first collided with swirling chakra, detonating on impact the bomb increased the size of the chakra vortex almost to triple its original size, destroying half of the prison facility.

Kurama landed and was already in the middle of weaving hands signs when the second giant bomb smashed into the swirling vortex of destructive chakra. As the second bomb detonated on contact with the chakra vortex Kurama slammed his right hand on the ground as the chakra vortex rushed towards them.

The Naruto clones led the way to the cell where Naruto and Kakashi had been held as captives and where Naruto had been tortured.

“I recognize this place.” One of the clones stated as he looked at the blood spattered walls and the stained floor of the cell.

“Well you should this was where Danzō tortured the boss.” The lead clone stated as he looked sideways at the pale Kakashi.

“What’s the matter Kakashi you look like you’ve seen a ghost?” Tsunade said as the rest of the group came into the cell behind them.

“I recognize this place as well but I can’t remember why.” Kakashi muttered.

“I was wondering how long it would take for you to recognize something here, considering you were here as well.” The lead clone said as he looked around the cell.

“What do you mean I was here? What as a prisoner?” Kakashi asked surprised.

“Yes exactly according to the boss’s memories you were taken the night we came back from the border skirmish with the Hidden Stone. Something about using a blood clone to take your place and isolate Naruto from the rest of the Genin Squads, which worked quite well.” The clone said as some of the Jōnin looked at each other with guilty looks that all the others present in the cell caught.

“So how come I can’t remember being here all I remember are images of being in my apartment.” Kakashi replied questioningly.

“Images, what like photos?” Inoichi asked stepping into the conversation.

“Yeah, what about it?” Kakashi replied getting agitated that he had been used.

“It’s indicative of having your memory altered; do you want me to check for tampering?” Inoichi asked.

“Do it later we are on a mission here.” Tsunade interrupted looking at the Naruto clones with a knowing look.

“Right sorry Granny.” The clones said in unison laughing at the tick mark on her temple.

The clones led the way further into the vast complex that was one of Root’s hideouts. They soon came to a cell that had Jiraiya chained to the cold stone wall. The lead Naruto clone kicked open the cell door and allowed Tsunade and Shizune to enter first.

“Jiraiya wake up you old pervert.” Tsunade snapped as she placed her hand on his forehead and released the Genjutsu that held him bound.

“Tsunade stop it’s a trap.” Jiraiya yelled as he was released from the Genjutsu.

“A trap for whom, me, we already foiled that one.” Tsunade laughed as Shizune unlocked the shackles holding Jiraiya to the wall.

“What do you mean you, no it’s for Naruto, they want the Tailed Beast, they want the Nine-Tails and I gave it to them.” Jiraiya said not noticing the clones.

“What did you do?” Tsunade asked her voice dangerously low.

“That monster killed Minato and Kushina and seeing Naruto bonded to that creature that killed his Parents, I just got angry…”

“So you decide to sell him out and got me caught up in it to.” Tsunade interrupted angrily before spinning around to look at the screaming clones that were all clutching their heads in pain before they all dispelled in a puff of smoke.

“Everybody out now, back to the prison double time!” Tsunade ordered as she led them rushing back out of the hideout. They sprinted along the winding corridors back to the hideout’s entrance bursting from the bushes that hid the entrance. Looking up at the sky and moon high above they could see it was about midnight.

“Yūgao, Kakashi and Asuma you will lead.” Tsunade said as Yūgao took point and raced directly for the prison with all the others following close behind. They passed over the wall without trouble and raced along the village rooftops at an almost breakneck pace. As they drew closer they could see that almost half of the prison was destroyed and crumbling into the lava lake.

They landed on the village outskirts and ran for the land bridge that covered the lake of lava. They could see a massive vortex of blue, red and black chakra destroying everything and anything that it made contact with.

“Everybody stop we can’t pass th…” Tsunade was cut off as the prison exploded and a gigantic vortex ten times bigger than the one they had just been looking at obliterated the prison and everybody inside it.

“NNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!” Haku screamed in anguish as she, Hinata and Shizune fell to their knees tears streaming down their eyes as they watched the chakra vortex destroy everything it touched.

"No, no, no, this can't be." Tsunade whispered as she watched the prison being instantly obliterated.

A/N: The results are in and we have a tie for a single sex scene and a mother/son relationship between Naruto and Tsunade, which if i do admit is gonna take some planning and creative writing to pull off, but i think i know how it's going to happen. So a thanks for all the votes that were left in the review sections and to those that already know me and told me privately.

As usual all comments, advice and feedback are welcome and hopefully the next chapter will be up by the end of the month or in four weeks.

P.S. this chapter and the next are gonna be abit smaller that other chapters because this is a transitional period for Naruto and the story to come.
