The following afternoon found Naruto strolling down the street, his backpack strewn over his shoulder. The sun shone brightly, its rays trickling down to warm his scalp and skin. His mood was good and he felt more like himself as he walked through the streets of Konoha, on his way to the art supply store. It only took him ten minutes to get there and he stepped excitedly inside, immediately starting to browse the aisles.

There were so many things he wanted, but he hadn’t asked for money. Instead, he started making a little mental list as he looked through everything, so he could come back once he’d started his job and buy what he wanted.

A man stepped into the aisle that Naruto had been browsing and smiled as he approached. “Are you finding everything alright, sir?” he asked. He was pretty tall and muscular but the odd thing about him was his shocking blue hair. Other than that, he looked like any other employee.

Naruto startled and whipped around, trying to still his heart when he realized it was just some employee. He smiled and laughed shakily, running his fingers through his hair. “Sorry, you startled me. I’m good, though. Everything in this store is what I’m looking for, pretty much.”

He felt uneasy as he looked at the huge man. He had to be over 6 feet tall. He was muscled, and his eyes… They just didn’t look right. “Really, I’m good. If I need something I’ll let you know…” Turning, he headed back up the aisle, hoping to get away from the man.

“Very good, I’ll be glad to help with anything you need.” He made his way out of the aisle, grinning a bit at how nervous he had made the kid. So far, everything was going perfectly. He just had to wait a bit longer.

Naruto glanced behind him, watching the man retreat with a frown. Something was nagging at him… He didn’t know what it was, but it was something bad. Or maybe he was just paranoid. He wasn’t really used to being out alone anymore; his staying with Sasuke had ruined that. Not that he regretted it at all. He just had to get used to it again.

Shrugging, he made his way through the rest of the store, picking a few things up and studying them, before setting them back down. It was making him a little depressed that he couldn’t get anything, so he decided to leave.

With a sigh, the blond made his way back to the front of the store, heading for the door.

“Excuse me sir...” The man from earlier stepped toward the blonde, keeping his face neutral as he spoke. “Another employee told me he saw you take something from one of the shelves, is that true?”

Naruto’s eyes widened and he shook his head adamantly. “No! No, I would never-” Words failed him as he realized he used to steal all the time. “I mean, I didn’t take anything! I swear!” Fear coursed through his body and he took a step back. “Honest! You can check my backpack if you need to!”

The blue haired man nodded. “Alright, follow me then. I’d just like to keep this private so we don’t upset any other shoppers. If I don’t find anything I’ll let you go and even give you a store credit... alright?” He tried to make his voice as calm as he could even though excitement coursed through his body at doing what he loved most.

“Um… I don’t need a store credit, but okay,” Naruto muttered, following nervously behind the huge man. He was led to an office in the back, and he bit his lip as the door was shut behind him.

He wanted Sasuke.

“Really… I didn’t take anything.” Sliding his backpack from his shoulder, he handed it to the employee to check out.

Taking the strap in hand, the large man suddenly grabbed the slim wrist with his other hand, pulling the arm behind Naruto roughly and pulled out a cloth, pressing it over the teen’s nose and mouth. “Now just stay still kid... this will be over a lot quicker if you don’t struggle.”

Naruto didn’t even have time to react. One moment he was just standing there waiting for it all to be over with and the next his wrist was grabbed painfully and a cloth was placed over him, smelling sickly sweet. He screamed behind the cloth, but it was muffled, and no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t break the hold the hulk of a man had on him. He had no choice but to inhale.

The blonde’s vision started to blur and his breathing slowed. His struggling grew weaker, and weaker, until he went completely limp, passing out cold.

Catching the blonde before he could hit the ground, the blue haired man held him up and smirked as he took out his phone, pressing one button before holding it to his ear. “It’s Kisame... Yeah, we’re good, I’m heading back now.”

The first thing Naruto became aware of was his pounding head. It ached so badly, it felt that his brain was leaking out his ears. He groaned and blinked open his eyes, only to see… nothing. Wherever he was, it was pitch black. His brows furrowed as he tried to remember what had happened. It came back to him after a few seconds – the art store, the creepy man accusing him of stealing, the cloth…

The blond bolted upright, his heart racing and his breath coming in short pants. He felt around with his hand and realized he was sitting on a bed. A bed… Where the fuck was he?!

Reaching out blindly, he felt a table. His fingers touched something cool and he followed it upwards until he found a little switch. He flicked it on and gasped as light flooded the room, assaulting his eyes. He rubbed at them with his fist and once he’d had a chance to adjust, he looked around. He recognized the room… He knew it. He saw it every night while nightmares plagued him.

“N-No…” he whispered, his body beginning to tremble. “No…” He heard a sound from the other side of the room and his head snapped towards it, eyes widening in horror as they met a pair of frighteningly similar ones. “Oh, god… I’m dreaming. I have to be dreaming… Please let me be dreaming…”

Minato smirked, seeing his son riled up, it was amazing how just seeing him could set the boy off. “What’s wrong? Not happy to see your own father? That hurts my feelings you know...” The older blonde made his way slowly toward the bed and sat down on the edge of it, just looking at his son’s fearful expression.

Naruto scooted as far away as he could, but that offered little security. He couldn’t even look at his father for fear he would throw up. His stomach was all knotted up and he was shaking so badly his teeth chattered. “W-What do you w-want? Why can’t you just l-leave me alone?”

“I told you I was going to get you back didn’t I?” Leaning over, Minato’s hand gently caressed the tan cheek, lingering on the thin scars. “You owe me that much... actually; you owe me a lot more so I think you should consider yourself fortunate that all I want is you with me.”

Naruto turned his head away, removing himself from the unwanted touch. His eyes prickled with tears as he realized the extent of the situation he was in. He couldn’t stay there. He just couldn’t. “I- You gotta let me leave. Sasuke will… He’ll be looking for me, and… I- I can’t stay. I owe you nothing and I’m not staying with you!” Forcing himself to move, he slid off the bed and bolted towards the door.

Minato moved quickly, grabbing the same wrist Kisame had grabbed and pulled Naruto back toward the bed, shoving the blonde onto it and pinning the slender boy down.

“Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke... is that all you think about? What about me... your father... what about ME? You’ve put me through so much shit Naruto... I’m just returning the favor.” His hand shot out, striking the teen across the face hard enough to draw blood from Naruto’s lip.

Naruto struggled to get off the bed as soon as he was thrown onto it, but he wasn’t quick enough. He stared up at his father, looking into those rage-filled, cruel eyes and something shrank deep inside. He was stuck, just like before.

The younger blond started struggling, trying desperately to push his father’s body off. “L-Let me go!”

“How adorable you are my son... struggling like that when you can’t even possibly get away. Look at yourself, you’re pathetic. And as for Sasuke, he probably just wants your tight little body. What man could resist that?” Minato leaned down, kissing the tan neck for added emphasis. “You’re just too good to pass up.”

“N-No. Sasuke loves me,” Naruto protested, whimpering as he felt his father’s lips against him. He turned his head in an attempt to make Minato back off, even though he knew it wouldn’t work. “P-Please don’t… You’re my father, you’re not supposed to… Don’t do it…”

Naruto barely stopped the whine from escaping as his hair was pulled. Little shocks of pain spread through his head and down his spine, but he nodded as a few tears fell. “O-Okay… W-Whatever you want,” he whispered, knowing he had no other choice. Whatever his father wanted from him, he would have to give.

“That’s my good boy. Now you’re starting to get it.” Releasing his hold on his son’s hair, Minato sat up, knowing his son wouldn’t be trying to get away any time soon. “Now I think the only appropriate thing to do now is for you to apologize... wouldn’t you agree?”

Naruto frowned, not knowing how exactly his father wanted him to apologize. That could mean with his words, or with his body. Neither of those options sounded good. Turning his head away, he muttered, “I’m sorry.”

“You’re such a little shit, you know that?” Pulling the blonde hair once more, he forced Naruto up into a sitting position at the edge of the bed, Minato remained standing. “Apologize like you mean it, with your mouth.”

A few more tears fell as Naruto reached forward with shaky hands, undoing the fastenings of Minato’s pants. Sasuke sat in the living room, a bit on edge. It was already 5pm and Naruto still wasn’t home. Sasuke had expected the blonde to be back before he was back from work but upon arriving home, he found no sign of his lover anywhere.

Getting up, he grabbed his keys and headed for the door and to his car, deciding to try the art store, Maybe Naruto just got caught up in something there and just lost track of time.

Parking in front of the store, Sasuke saw something right away... it was a backpack sitting next to the door on the sidewalk. It was on its side, like it had fallen off. Getting out of his car, Sasuke realized it was Naruto’s and he ran up to pick up the item and headed into the store quickly and moved to the front cashier desk, seeing a woman standing there.

“Excuse me; did you happen to see a blonde boy around age 16 come in here earlier with a backpack like this?” Sasuke practically held his breath as he waited for an answer.

The woman looked up, studying the backpack for a moment. “Yes… He was in here around noon, I think. I didn’t see what time he left at, but I know he didn’t buy anything. Someone was talking with him… Some huge guy with blue hair.” She shrugged, as that was all the information she had to tell and went back to what she’d been doing.

“You didn’t hear what they were saying? Please, I need all the info you can tell me.” Sasuke was frantic at this point. And a man with blue hair? Did the guy kidnap him?

“Not really, no. All I remember is the blond didn’t look very happy. Afraid, almost. I didn’t think anything of it at the time… Has something happened?”

Sasuke felt his stomach drop. It was more than likely that man had done something to the blonde but Sasuke had no way of even knowing that much.

“No... everything’s fine, thank you.” He didn’t want to worry the woman; it wasn’t her business anyway so Sasuke just decided to leave anyone else out of it. He had gotten the info he needed; now he had to figure out what to do with it.

Naruto awoke awhile later with a splitting headache. He still felt groggy and moving at all caused spears of pain to race up his spine. He blinked open his eyes but couldn’t see properly. He had to have a concussion, at least. The good thing was, as far as he could tell, he was alone.

Dragging himself across the floor towards the bed, he reached up onto the table and knocked the phone down. It took him three tries to dial the right number and he waited with baited breath until he heard a familiar voice. He opened his mouth to speak, but all that came out was a hoarse gasp. His throat was raw from the abuse he’d taken.

“S- Sas…uke?” he finally managed.

The raven frowned when his phone rang and he looked at the unfamiliar number. Something in his gut told him to answer it though so he pressed the ‘call’ button and held it to his ear. Immediately he heard a gasping voice on the other end and recognized it as Naruto’s.

“Naruto... oh my god... where are you? Are you hurt? Tell me...” He headed for his car quickly and buckled himself in before he started the car and began to drive, not really sure where he was even going.

“I-I’m… at my father’s…” Naruto whispered, slumping down against the floor, holding the phone weakly to his ear. “He… He had someone in the store, and… and he knocked me out… I- I think I have a concussion, S’uke… H-He slammed me against the wall hard, twice…”

Tears welled up in the blonde’s eyes again and he sniffled miserably. “I don’t know where he went… He left me on the floor after I passed out, and… I’m stuck here, S’uke…”

“Tell me where baby... I’ll come get you; I don’t even care if it’s the mayor. I’ll kick his ass so hard he won’t be able to hurt you ever again...” Sasuke was driving aimlessly now, just going straight ahead. He decided to stop though, in case he was going in the wrong direction. On the phone he could faintly hear a door open and Minato’s voice clearly in the background.

“What’s this? You’re a sneaky little boy... trying to call your fuck buddy behind my back?”

“Sasuke! Don’t try and find me! Please don’t! He’s got guards here and…” Naruto’s heart leapt into his throat as he saw his father about to disconnect the line. He panicked. “I- I love you, okay? I love you, S’uke!”

A loud noise was heard and the line went dead, Sasuke looking at the phone before retrieving the number and trying to call again but the line was dead.

The blond froze as soon as the line went dead. He couldn’t move. He could feel his father looming over him, but he was too afraid to look, to do anything. His head ached so bad – he knew he should be at the hospital, but that definitely wasn’t going to happen. Was he really going to make it out alive? Minato was getting more and more violent… Would he even make it until he was 18?

“Please don’t hurt me again…” Naruto whispered. “Please…. My head hurts so bad…”

A soft sigh was heard as Minato pulled Naruto back onto the bed, his movements were gentler now. “Shhh, it’s alright... I know you’re in pain. You know I don’t like to hurt you but I have to Naruto... you have to learn.” There was a moment of silence then the older man pressed a glass filled with water into Naruto’s hand along with two pills.

Naruto whimpered as he was moved and a wave of dizziness assaulted him, worse than he’d ever felt before. He took the glass and the pills, taking a small sip of the water. “What are these?” he asked quietly, indicating the pills. He didn’t trust Minato at all; for all he knew it was something that could kill him.

“Painkillers... I want you to at least be able to stay conscious while I have you with me. It’s more fun when I know how much it hurts.” Minato smiled cruelly, his fingers gently threading through blonde locks so similar to his own.

Naruto really, really didn’t want to take them, but he hurt too much not to. He swallowed the pills with a gulp of water and then curled up on the bed, wishing he could just sleep and wake up to find that it was all over. But it wouldn’t be. Sasuke had been his only chance and he’d told the Uchiha not to try and get him back…

Closing his eyes, the blond blocked out his father and the false gentle caresses. It was easier to pretend that it was Sasuke…

Sasuke was almost at a loss of what to do. His mind was racing and he tried to come up with ideas on how to find Naruto. But where would he even look? He didn’t even know where Naruto had lived before he ran away and didn’t even know if the blonde was being kept there. Who knows how many houses Minato had...?

Not really knowing what else to do, he took his phone out again and dialed a number he would have never considered calling if the circumstances were different but kept for such an occasion as this. Holding the receiver to his ear, he waited none to patiently for the other person to pick up.

“Well, if it isn’t Mr. High and Mighty Uchiha,” a monotone voice answered after a few rings. A chair creaked in the background and a few papers shuffled. There wasn’t even a hint of amusement or any other emotion in the voice. “You are the last person I expected to call me.”

“Don’t start with your bullshit, Sai, I really need your help or else I wouldn’t be calling you.” Sasuke climbed back into his car and started the engine. “I need you to do a bit of spy work for me, like right now, this is urgent.”

“It must be, if someone as great as an Uchiha can’t get it done,” Sai mused. “Tell me, Sasuke – are you still dickless, or have you fucked someone yet?” Even someone as unsociable (read: dense) as Sai knew that wasn’t going to fly. “Humor me. Consider it part of your fee.”

Growling a bit, Sasuke turned a corner rather sharply and halted on the side of the street. “Listen, asshole, I don’t need this right now, my lover is in a life threatening situation and I need you to find out where he is so I can get him out of there. I swear to God if you don’t fucking give me what I need I’m going straight to your office and kicking your ass until you are an inch away from death, got it?”

“You haven’t given me any information to work with,” Sai pointed out, pulling out a pad of paper and a pen. He was the best PI in the city – he took his job seriously. “Give me some, and I will see what I can do.”
