It took us a couple hours to get back to the sand, but we finally made it in good time. When we reached the gates, everyone was standing there waiting on us, including the hokage from the Leaf, Naruto Uzumaki. I guess he saw the huge beam of light and came to help. I took a deep breath before I approached everyone, and I gave them a small smile. Their eyes were wide in disbelief, and Gaara shook his head, “What happened?”. I spoke loud enough for everyone to hear me; “Set is dead, as is our Lady Luna. Turns out Luna was the Goddess Isis in disguise. When she died she gave me her powers and told me to take her place as the goddess of Earth, Sky, and healing. Everyone is safe now, and nobody will bother you again”. Gaara’s face was saddened, but then everyone started to kneel before me. I was a bit surprised, but Naruto smiled “Thank you, goddess”.
            I gave a short nod, “Of course. We have to head home, but it’s late. We plan on staying one more night to rest and recuperate, if this is alright” everyone stood and Gaara let out a breathy laugh “Of course it’s alright”. James sighed and ran a hand through his hair “It’s freaking hot. I need a shower” I shrugged, “I could change that”. Without saying anything, the sky became cloudy, and I smiled. Rain fell a second later, and James chuckled “That’s awesome!”, Adam nodded “Beyond amazing”. I looked at Gaara and we smiled at each other, knowing this was the end; but peaceful with what became of us both. He was the leader of his village, and he had a goddess watching over him and his village.
            That night we spent time saying goodbye and talking about what we were going to do with each other. We agreed that it was time to part ways, and to be friends instead. We loved each other, but we had our own paths to walk, and we couldn’t stay together on them. When we left the village we all hugged goodbye and told each other to stay in touch. They thanked us a million times, and we told them if they ever needed us we were a call away. The walk home was long and tiring, but when we finally made it, everyone was surprised to see me instead of Luna. I had to call a town meeting to make the announcement and let everyone know what was going on. There were a lot of tears, and a lot of love as we remembered our amazing queen. At the end however, everyone clapped and welcomed me with open arms. It was Luna’s wish after all.
            We had set up a coronation for me, and I invited all the villages, including Gaara. It was the day before coronation, and I was in the garden practicing my powers. I could make any flower I wanted to grow instantly. The garden had every flower you could imagine, and I had a huge fountain installed in the middle of it. Ever since we got back to the palace, I have my own wardrobe and make up team. They make sure I look “Queen worthy” every day. Today they had my hair in a bun and a simple pink dress that fell loosely around my legs and a huge diamond belt. I was so focused on my flowers; I didn’t hear Adam walk up behind me. I jumped when I saw him and he chuckled “I’m sorry baby girl. Didn’t mean to scare you” I grinned, “It’s alright”.
            Ever since we’ve been back the boys and Lynn had to wear their uniforms to show their place next to the queen, as my bodyguards. He wore all black; the jacket was buttoned up all the way and had the Apollo’s emblem on the back in silver. His black dress pants and black boots matched perfectly, and his hair was slicked back out of his face. He looked amazing, they all did. He slid his hand in his pocket and sighed; “You look beautiful” I couldn’t help but smile “Thanks, Adam”. He sat next to me on the fountains edge and he cleared his throat “So, you and Gaara really aren’t together anymore?” I nodded “Yeah, we’re going our separate ways for obvious reasons”.
            He chewed his lip and remained quiet for a second, then he nodded “I’m sorry it didn’t work out. I know how much you liked him” I shrugged “Yeah, he was great. However, it wasn’t meant to be and I’m alright with that”. Adam let out a breath and then shook his head “Yeah, I can understand that. I feel the same about certain things” I looked at him confused “Like what?”. He continued to stare at our feet and then finally looked in my eyes “Like me and you… I’ve wanted you for so long, but never had the guts to tell you. Now, you’re a goddess and a queen. If I didn’t have a chance then I sure as hell don’t now”.
            I grinned as he looked away, and I placed a hand on his making his attention snap back to me. I took a deep breath “Who said you never had a chance Adam? You mean a lot to me” Adam got a tinkle in his eye and he sat up straighter “Really?”. I bit my lip and felt his hand wrap around mine, “Adam, you don’t ever have to be afraid to tell me something” he swallowed the lump in his throat and his gaze hardened. He seemed to be fighting something in his mind, then the fog lifted and he leaned into me. I didn’t fight him, I knew what he wanted, and I was sure I wanted it to. His lips fell on mine and my hand rested on his chest. We stayed that was for what seemed like forever. We broke apart when we felt something brush against our hands, and we looked down to see roses blooming around us. We shared a laugh and he brushed his thumb against my cheek, “I love you, Jensa” I sighed, “I love you to Adam”.
            The next day was finally the day everyone was waiting for. My stylists helped me get ready as the other’s in the castle got the ball and throne room ready. They had chosen to curl and pin my hair up off my shoulders. The gown they chose was absolutely gorgeous. It was a light blue color, and was a valentine neckline. It hugged my upper half, and then it flared out at my hips and fell to the floor. It had lines of glitter on my upper half, and all around the dress on the bottom. It reminded me of the night sky on the end of it, and I decided this would be my favorite dress from here on out. They placed a small crown on my head, and when my coronation was over they would replace it with the real, bigger crown.
            I had to wear a diamond chocker around my neck, and a diamond bracelet to match. I walked out of my room and found the boys and Lynn standing there waiting for me. A look of awe crossed their faces when they saw me, and James whistled “Wow, absolutely stunning sis” I grinned and looked at Adam as he took my hand. He looked as if he just saw a miracle, and James elbowed him to get him back to earth. I laughed and he kissed my hand “ You are so beautiful. I’ve never been speechless before. I don’t think no woman has ever looked as beautiful as you do right now”. James snickered and the others ‘Awed’. I smiled and kissed him quickly, “Thanks guys. I appreciate you all” they bowed and then James sighed “You ready? They’re all waiting for you in the throne room. It’s the crowning first, then the ball”.
            I held my stomach as nerves hit me, and Adam squeezed my hand “You can do this baby. We will be right there with you”. I looked around to my team, and smiled. I didn’t know what I would do without these guys. They were my family, my friends, and my world. We have been through so much together, and I would’ve never thought we would be here. I loved all of them so much, and I know with them I could do anything.
            I slid my arm through James’ and nodded, “I’m ready as long as you are all by my side”. They grinned and we headed to the throne room. Adam entered first, then stood next to my chair in his place, then Lynn and Luke followed, standing on the other side of my chair. Everyone rose when they announced me, and I gripped James’ arm tightly, trying to remember how to breathe. James could tell I was scared, and he kissed my head to calm me down, “Remember angel, I am right here. You can do this” I shook my head “Don’t let me fall?” he grinned, “Never”. We slowly started to walk in, and as I passed people kneeled and stood after I walked by. I found Gaara in the crowed, and our eyes met. He ginned and bowed as I passed, just like everyone else.
            All of the kages and their advisors showed up, and a couple of the shinobi I met on our journey was there as well. Everyone had the same awestruck look as my team had when they saw me. It made me feel beautiful, and James made his promise to not let me fall. He held his head high and looked amazing in his uniform; along with the others. When we reached the end, the high chairman of the counsel was there, waiting to crown me. James took his spot next to Adam and crossed his hand in front of him like the rest of the team. I kneeled in front of the chairman while he said what he needed to say, and I had to say ‘I do’ when he asked if I swore to protect the village and the people in it. I felt the small crown lift and the bigger crown replace it.
            He knighted me and told me to stand as they slid the royal robes around my shoulders and fastened it around my chest. It was white lace to match my outfit, and I absolutely loved it. I saw my reflection in one of the windows and a small smile fell over my lips. My crown was spiked at the ends, and filled with nothing but diamonds. I turned when they told me to and faced the crowd with a smile. They announced me as “Queen Jensa Dawn Wiley”, and everyone erupted in cheer and claps.
            Now, it was time for my speech, and I hated speeches. I sucked at them so much. I practiced the last couple days and I hoped it would be good enough. I cleared my throat and took a deep breath, “Thank you, I appreciate it. I want to say what an honor and privilege it is to have this opportunity to be your queen. What happened to Lady Luna was tragic, but she will always be remembered. I know I have big shoes to fill, and I am ready to take on the responsibility. I will do everything I can to keep peace in our village and make sure we never go without. I love this village and everyone in it, and I know I won’t let you all down”. Another applause, and I had to sit in the throne after my speech. The chairman dismissed everyone into the ballroom to give us time to discuss everything and we would join them soon.
            When everyone was gone, I let out a long breath I didn’t know I was holding, and James winked at me “You did amazing. I am so proud of you Jensa”, Adam chuckled “That goes double for me”. I shook my head and groaned “I hate speeches” Lynn giggled “But you did amazing!”, I grinned “Thanks guys”. I had to sit there for another 30 minutes listening to the chairman tell me about my responsibilities and the major do’s and don’t’s. I was already aware of them since they were making me study it all already, but I listened intently anyway. When he was finally done talking, I stood and sighed “Well, we shouldn’t keep them waiting any longer should we”, I slipped my arm through James’ and we walked to the ballroom. We entered just like we did in the throne room, and we started to walk around and mingle with everyone.
            I thanked everyone I talked to for coming and made my way around the whole room. I looked over to the Kages standing together with their guards and I knew I had to bite the bullet eventually. I told James I would be right back and I slowly walked over. They all stopped and smiled at me, bowing slightly, “Your highness”. I grinned “thank you. I’m so glad you all could make it”, Naruto laughed “Of course! We wouldn’t miss it!”. Gaara and I locked eyes and Temari pushed him a little. He cleared his throat, “You look beautiful” I went to thank him but Kurotsuchi chimed in “The dress is breathtaking”. I gave a small laugh and looked down in habit, “Thank you. I have a team of stylists to thank”.
            I could feel tension creeping over us so I sighed, “can I steal you for a minute?” Gaara nodded “Of course, I’ll be back”. Everyone waived us goodbye and I led him out to my garden. He looked around and smiled “You did all of this?” I nodded “After I found out how to control my powers, it just took over and I let it go”. We sat on the fountain and sat there for a minute. He laughed quietly, “Kurotsuchi is right, you’re breathtaking”. I blushed and bit my lip “Thanks, Gaara. So, how have you been?” he smiled “I’ve been good. I would lie if I say I didn’t miss you, but that is normal” I gave a small nod “I miss you to”.
            He sighed and looked around again “This place is beautiful, and I could never ask you to leave this for me” I nodded “Yeah, same here. I know you love your village and the people in it”. He looked at me finally and shrugged “I will always love you Jensa, but we have our separate agenda’s to uphold. I’m glad I had a chance to love you than not at all” I shared his smile “Me to, Gaara. You are going to make someone happy one day” He laughed “I don’t think I will be dating anytime soon. However, your going to make your people so proud. And maybe one day you will find a king to complete your palace”. I looked up to see Adam at the door watching us closely, and my smile widened “Yeah, I think so to”.
