A/N: Hey y'all! Welcome back for the next chappie of the Golden Shadow. Oks, I have some spicy and angsty scenes planned for this and further chappies between the pairs. Obviously they have some more issues to deal with aside from parenthood. Hehes

Chapter 13
After figuring out who Neji had been staying with, Sasuke opted to go with Naruto to the main village. That would be where the ruler of the naga kind would be located. The said king has had a vendetta with the werewolves. Although right now they are about to begin a treaty. The wolf pack had arrived accompanied by Kakashi and Iruka. Seeing them, Sasuke knew that they wouldn't know of him. Slithering on a jet black colored tail with his scales being different shades of onyx with ruby crowning the head of his tail, he approached the palace in whic the python king would be located. Requesting an audience, Sasuke had been ushered in right away. Indeed he had left Naruto to tend to the children. Obviously he's not too worried considering the others stayed back with him to assist with him and Deidara if necessary. It's his plan alone to confront who ruled the kind that they transformed into thanks to the concoction that Anko had given him.
"What do you want?" Demanded to know an obsidian haired male with amber eyes with his coils elegantly balanced to be corkscrewed underneath him, wearing the garb of someone of regal status.
"My husband and I along with our companions would like to move into the main island," requested Sasuke, hoping this wouldn't be too great to be approved.
"Hmmm," murmured Orochimaru, considering it before giving a nod. "The place you, your husband, children, and companions can live in is the complex situated closest to here."
"Thank you, your majesty," bowed Sasuke, surprised that it had worked so well.
"You're welcome. Now, go," said the older naga in a gentle tone, watching Sasuke slither out.
Then who he would be speaking to next is the alpha. Seeing Jiraiya there, Orochimaru licked his lips in anticipation. Indeed he has wanted the white haired male for quite some time. Although he didn't know precisely if their kinds would mesh that well. Perhaps at knowing the treaty had been passed without any complications would strengthen their bonds. It's worth a try at least. Ushering Jiraiya closer, he examined him thoroughly. His forked tongue flicked out, moving this way and that to clarify him on a few things before putting it away back in his mouth. Tilting his head to the side, the oceanic eyed male wondered what this could possibly mean. Though he guessed serpents are more sultry than he expected. Obviously he's not complaining about it. No, far from it. He's elated to know this.
"What happens now?" Jiraiya wanted to know of what else could be done between them.
"Your pack can stay in the main village," answered orochimaru thoughtfully before his gaze darkened with an intense emotion overcoming him. "for you….well, I'm sure you can tell what I want from you."
"Heh, yes I can," smirked Jiraiya, being led into the serpent's bedroom to have the door close behind them before engaging in a more binding union between their two races.

Returning to the den where the others would be, Sasuke relayed what he had been told by Orochimaru. Gathering their things including the children they then went to the complex in which they had been given to use as housing for them. Before they left, Neji gave his appreciation to the two nagas who had given him shelter until his boyfriend could come for him. Then they were able to set off to move into the complex.
Once inside, he went to join Naruto to see their kids. They would need names of course. Sasuke and his partner have given it a plentiful amount of thought. Both wanted to make sure they had fitting names. Going into one of the larger rooms, Naruto managed to set up places that would be suitable sleeping areas for the seven children. It made Sasuke wonder if this had been a number preordained by the deities that may be up above or down below.
"What should we call them?" Naruto poked Sasuke's cheek gently, receiving a playful pout from him in response.
"I have a few in mind,' murmured the Uchiha when he recomposed himself.
"Oh?" Naruto prodded for more information.
"The boys I had thought of Rei, Hiruki, and Shisui," answered the ravenette, thinking it would be fitting for one of the males to be named after his deceased cousin.
"Aw, I like those," smiled Naruto, liking the ones Sasuke and picked out.
"What about the girls?' Sasuke figured that Naruto decided on those considering they had more girls than boys although it didn't bother either of them in the slightest.
"Hmmm, there are a few I thought of. Kushina, Mikoto, Yukino, and Setsuna," answered Naruto, feeling it would be nice for one of their kids to be named after his deceased mother, beaming as he loved each of them including his partner of course.
"Sounds good to me," grinned Sasuke, going over to wrap his arms around his blonde before kissing him tenderly, appreciating the fact Naruto pressed back, appreciating that he had come to love instead of hate him over this time so far together.
"We'll be ok here. I promise you that, Naruto. If not, then I will protect you and our children with tooth and claw until you're safe," vowed Sasuke.
"And if you die in the process…I'll make sure to pick up where you left off," Naruto rested his forehead against Sasuke's, feeling truly happy and content for once in his life after all of the hardship he has experienced up to this point.
"Good," Sasuke couldn't believe it took a halfling to break through his strong resolve, chipping away his armor bit by bit until he eventually showed emotion for once although he knew that only Naruto could bring out the humanity in him.
Knowing that they have their children to think of there is the possibility that Sasori would send someone after them. There's no telling who it could be. It's the last thing on their minds of course. Although they can't help to idly speculate about it. Brushing it aside, the two lovebirds decided to enjoy their moment together. No, they wouldn't allow worries to ruin this time they have together. besides, if anything did happen then they would be by each other's side to ensure no harm comes to their offspring.
"How do you think Itachi is handling things so far?" Naruto broke the comfortable silence between them after a supple amount of time had passed.
"Hmmm, don't know," admitted Sasuke, figuring he has to deal with a more volatile blonde than his own. "I'm sure he's been able to figure it out so far."
"He has Deidara after all," Naruto couldn't help to smirk, knowing the catfish can be a handful, recalling the times he and Deidara have spoken considering they had gotten along almost like long lost brothers.
"And the others?" Sasuke wondered, not really caring although he knew Naruto does.
"Hmmm, Sakura seems happy. I'm glad she found someone that works well with her," murmured Naruto, glad to see his best friend at such a good place in her life. "It's interesting how Neji is paired up with Gaara of all people. I wouldn't think those two would be a good fit, but I suppose they are."
"Hn, indeed," mused Sasuke, wondering how they get along as well due to knowing how Gaara has savage tendencies.
"Do you think living here will prove to be a good idea?" Naruto asked, unable to keep his worries away for too long.
"Of course it is, dobe. Have a little faith, will you? Orochimaru accepted my request. We shouldn't question it. If anything comes our way then whoever it'll be is going to be in for a troublesome time of their life."
A/N: Yays! Done with chappie thirteen! It's good that I managed to finish this and the previous chappie today instead of prolonging the wait. It's definitely interesting how things are progressing.
