Naruto drained the water from the tub. As the water drained, he took the shower head from the wall and rinsed off his body before getting out of the tub. He dried himself and put on his bathrobe. As he opened the door to the bathroom a pleasant aroma came in and played with his nose.
He walked to the dining area and saw the food that Hinata had prepared on the table. The food really smelled good, there was some miso soup, some sushi, and some rice. Simple stuff, but good. Naruto sat at the table as Hinata walked back to it.
“Is this ok?”
“This is wonderful, thank you.”
“Of course. It is what I do for you.”
“Hinata, can I ask you something?”, Naruto said with a serious look on his face.
“Sure.”
“Is this really ok with you? I know that you love me, and I really love you....”
Hinata walked over to him and sat in Naruto's lap, sidesaddle. She leaned in to him and wrapped her arms around him and whispered in his ear, “You saved me from the Hell that my 'Father' was going to subject me too. You buying me is the best thing thing that could have happened to me. I am happy as long as I am yours. I had dreamed of being your wife, even though I am your slave, I feel like my dream has been fulfilled. Either way, we are together.”
Naruto reached around her and held her against him in the hug. He could almost feel the love emanating from her. He knew how she felt, he just needed to hear it.
“Thank you. I am glad that I was able to rescue you. Let's eat!”, he finished with a grin.
She got up off his lap and walked to her seat and sat down and they began their meal. Hinata watched him as they ate. She could tell that he was enjoying his food. She knew of his love of ramen, but she wanted to make sure that he had more than just ramen. She was going to take care of him for as long as she could.
She knew the next day he would fight Neji. She prayed that he would defeat Neji without hurting himself too much. She knew, in her heart, that Naruto would win. In the spar that they had, she knew that he was holding way back. She just wasn't sure how much he was holding back.
Naruto leaned back in his chair and stretched as he finished eating. He got up and took his dirtied plates to the the sink in the kitchen.
“I'll take care of that.”, Hinata said as he walked past her.
“I've got these.”
“I'll take care of the rest for you.”
Naruto sighed, “Ok, I think I am going to go to bed then.”
“Ok, I will take care of this and I will be there.”
Naruto smiled and walked to his bed and climbed in. After a few minutes had past, Hinata came and joined him in the bed.
“Does Master wish for me to please him tonight.”, Hinata said with a devilish grin.
“While most of me says 'Yes!', I think that I should rest for the finals tomorrow.”
“I understand.”, Hinata said with a pout.
Naruto leaned over and gave her a kiss, “When I win the tournament, we will lock ourselves in here and celebrate for the whole day. Deal?”
Hinata grinned and gave him a big hug and said, “Deal.”
They both laid down and snuggled into each other and fell into a restful sleep.

Early the next morning the sun rose in the east and two people slowly awoke from sleep's embrace and into each other's embrace. Naruto looked into Hinata's eyes as she slowly opened them.
“Hello, Beautiful.”, he said softly.
A her face blushed slightly from his complement. She still wasn't used to being praised for anything, much less her beauty. “Good Morning.” was her reply, as she snuggled into his chest.
He gave her a slight squeeze and in reply he heard an 'eep'. He grinned at Hinata's eep, it was so cute.
“We need to get up and get ready for the finals today.” Naruto said and then asked Hinata, “Where are you going to sit?”
“I was going to see if I could be with you in the waiting area, but if I cannot I was going to see if it was ok with you to sit with my old team.”
“Either way is fine with me.”
“Ok.”
They got up and began to get ready for their day. Naruto decided to forgo the complete orange look and wear the black outfit from before, but put his orange jacket on top the the black. Hinata dressed causally in a light blue shirt and black pants. They left Naruto's apartment and walked toward the arena. They passed the Damiyos and other Lords coming to see the chunin exams. They had to take an indirect route as some of the main roads were blocked for the people arriving. They continued to the arena and got there before most of the other contestants and the other challengers. They ran into the proctor and asked him if Hinata would be about to stay in the challenger waiting room.
“No, that won't be allowed, she will have to have a seat in the spectator area.”
“I understand. I'll sit up there.”
Naruto and Hinata walked up to the spectator area and looked for a place for Hinata to sit. While they were looking around they ran in to Kiba.
“Yo, Hinata! Naruto!”
“Kiba.”, replied Hinata.
“What are you doing up here?”
“Were are looking for a place for Hinata to sit while watching the match.”
“She can sit with me.”
Hinata looked at Naruto and back at Kiba. She wasn't sure how this might turn out. Was Naruto still mad about Kiba trying to attack him?
“Hinata, stay here for a minute, I want to talk to Kiba. Kiba, come over here with me.”
Hinata watched as Naruto walked up the stairs toward the upper area and Kiba followed.
“What's up, Naruto?”
“Are you going to attack me or otherwise try to 'free Hinata'?”
“No, I am sorry about that, I misunderstood the situation. After we left you and Hinata, me and my team discussed the situation with her and I realized that you are the best thing that could have happened to Hinata. I am not going to 'free' her from you. I only acted to protect Hinata, I just directed my anger at the wrong person, to you and not towards Hiashi.”
“Ok. Hinata can sit with you, I am holding you responsible for her well being. Do you understand?”
“Yes, I do. I will let no harm befall her.”
“Ok, lets go back to her.”, Naruto said and turned around and headed back down to Hinata.
Hinata watched as Naruto and Kiba come back down towards her.
“It is ok for you to sit with Kiba, he has taken responsibility for you during the match. If Hiashi or any other Hyūga approach you two, find Kurenai or Kakashi and stay with them. If you cant get to them, go to any other Jounin that you trust.”
They both nodded their heads in agreement, then Kiba said, “This is where I was thinking of sitting.”
“This does look like a good spot.”, Hinata agreed.
“Ok, lets take a seat while we wait for the beginning.”, stated Naruto.
“Shouldn't you be waiting down there?”
“Well, we have a few minutes. I'll go down there shortly.”
“Are you ready for your battles today, Naruto?”
“I have prepared as much as I can for today, Kiba. I am confidant in my abilities.”
“I see the others are arriving and the proctor is joining them down there.”, Hinata pointed out.
“I guess I'll get down there.”, Naruto go up and walked to the edge of the seating area and then jumped over. He used his chakra in his feet to walk down the wall to the battle area.
Naruto walked over to the other finalist, although Sasuke and Dosu are missing.
“Trying to make a splashy entrance walking down the wall?”, Shikamaru asked Naruto.
“No, if I wanted splashy, I would have ran in here being chased by bulls or some other large animals.”
“Ok, fair enough.”
“Where's Sasuke and the sound guy?”
“Not sure, neither has shown up yet.”
“I wonder where Sasuke is. He should have been here with Kakashi by now.”
“Everyone, look good for the spectators, you are the stars of this final round.”
The finalists down on the arena floor looked up and could hear cheering from the crowd anticipating the matches that were coming up. Gaara saw the Kazekage walk into the VIP box and he began to seethe with anger toward the father that had tried to assassinate him several times.
They saw the Hokage walk up to the to the edge of VIP box and called out to the audience to welcome them to the final rounds of the chunin exams, that there are eight finalists and requested them to stay to the end of the matches.
'Eight?', Naruto, Neji, Shino, and Shikamaru thought to themselves.
Gaara thought back to when Dosu foolishly challenged him a few nights ago, when Gaara ended his pitiful existence and confirmed his own.
“Ok, I've got something to you, look at this. Your lineup has changed.”, the proctor said. “Double check who you are facing.”
The finalists looked at the paper and noticed that Dosu was no longer in the bracket.
'Did he drop out?', Shikamaru thought to himself. 'I was supposed to have more matches than anyone else, but now I am going up against the Giant Fan Girl in my first match. How troublesome, why do I have to fight girls?'
“Does anyone know where Sasuke is?”, Naruto inquired of the Proctor. “Is he going to be disqualified?”
“As long as he shows up before his match, then he will be fine.”
Gaara thought back to when he went to spy on the training that Sasuke had been doing.
“The lay of the land is different here, but the rules are the same as they have been. There are none. The match will continue until one of the opponents are unable to fight or they are dead. If I stop a match, I will decide the victor, and there will be no arguments to my decision. Understood?”
No one said a word.
The proctor took that as an affirmative and said, “The first match in Naruto versus Neji. Everyone else go to the waiting area.”
As the others left, leaving Neji, Naruto and the proctor alone on the floor of the arena. The audience looked down at the then wondering how this match would be.
Ino looked over at Sakura and said, “I know that you're worried about Sasuke, but shouldn't you be cheering for Naruto?”
“Yea.”, Sakura said and perked up a little.
“Although, I think that its too bad that Naruto's first match is Neji, he is going to get his butt kicked big time.”
“Ah,..”
“You think Naruto can beat Neji? Neji was last year's 'Rookie of the Year'.”
“I think that Naruto is full of surprises, I wouldn’t count him out just yet.”

The two Chunin that were sitting next to Hinata and Kiba starting talking about the upcoming match.
“I never would have thought that punk would have made it this far.”
“Probably just luck,”
“If it is, it just ran out. This is the worst opponent to have to go against.”
“Yea, He is going to have his ass handed to him. You just can't beat a Hyuga.”
Hinata looked at the chunin with anger on her face as they were talking down about Naruto and Kiba thought that it is bad for them to underestimate Naruto.
Akamaru whimpered in his ear and Kiba began to look around and noticed him. 'What is ANBU doing here?', he thought to himself.
Down on the arena floor, Neji and Naruto faced each other, each one staring the other down.
“You look like you want to tell me something.”, Neji said to Naruto.
“You remember.”
Naruto just stood there and held out his fist toward Neji, reminding Neji of the oath that Naruto had made at the preliminaries.
“I'll beat you no matter what.”
Neji looked at Naruto and activated his byakugun, Naruto continued to look at Neji with a fierce look in his eyes.
Neji could tell by the look in Naruto's eyes that he really meant to win, but Neji was still confident that Naruto would be the one leaving in defeat.
Neji stood there slowly inching his way towards Naruto. Naruto just stood there motionless staring at Neji. Then suddenly Naruto ran towards Neji drawing kunais from his pouch and throwing them.
Ino moved forward to the edge of her seat as Sakura jumped from her seat yelling, “No, Naruto!”
Naruto quickly closed the distance between him and Neji. Neji quickly deflected the kunai and moved out of the way of Naruto's fist. Naruto dodged Neji's fist as it came toward him. They would strike out at each other and miss like some kind of dance. Neji began to strike one of Naruto's chakra points, but Naruto moved out of the way at the last second surprising Neji.
'I missed?', Neji thought to himself.
Naruto jumped back looking at Neji and grinning. Neji just smirked back.
“Thanks for the warm up. Now it is time to get serious.”
Sakura sat down and looked at Naruto and felt relief that he didn't just kill himself. She began to grin as Naruto put his fingers in to the familiar cross shape.
“Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!” Four more Narutos appeared between the original Naruto and Neji.
“I told you that I would beat you, you ready for this?”
Before getting an answer the Naruto clones ran towards Neji and began attacking using only Taijutsu. Naruto hung back watching Neji and mentality comparing that to the match that Neji had with Hinata in the preliminaries and the sparring match that Naruto had with Hinata.
Naruto was noticing things that were different in Hinata and Neji's styles. While Hinata was gentler than Neji, she was also more graceful and flexible. Neji attacked with greater force, but was more rigid, like he was angry and the anger was leading his style. Naruto watched as Neji defeated his clones. Neji began to walk towards Naruto talking about fate and that no one could escape destiny.
“Why are you fighting against your destiny so much?”
Neji had a slightly confused face as he looked to Naruto.
“You talk about destiny and that you cannot fight it, but that is what you are trying to do. In your fight with Hinata and this fight with me. I can see your anger about your perceived destiny just rolling off of your body. If you want to change you destiny, then do it. Don't just cry about what you think you can or cannot change. Just get off your butt and do something about it. If you cannot do it yourself, then you find allies. Allies can help you and you can help them as well. Don't like your clan? Start your own! The only one that you have to blame about your destiny and where it leads is you.”
Neji looked at the Naruto before him and wondered for a moment where the dufus had gone. This is not the Naruto that he knew. This was a different Naruto, a Naruto that was making sense with intelligent conversation. This was not the person he was expecting to fight today.
Naruto crossed his fingers again and called out. “Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!”
Fifty clones appeared and began to engage Neji. Neji began to fight the clones causing them to dispel from his attacks. Naruto watched the attacks from the middle of the battle. Neji began to get cocky and began to run.
“The more you try to hide the easier it is to find you.” Neji ran up to a Naruto and punched him and he slid back. “Fighting you is pointless. You should just give up.”
Naruto got up and began to laugh. “I've told you that you shouldn't make assumptions based on what you think you see.” Then suddenly the Naruto in front of Neji poofed into a cloud of smoke. Three Narutos appeared behind Neji to strike when Neji activated Rotation to block the attacks.
Two of the Narutos poofed out while the other jumped back.
Hiashi was in the stands surprised that Neji had figured out Rotation for himself.
Naruto looked at Neji and smirked, “Your better than you should be.”
Neji looked at Naruto, 'Did he know about Rotation? Had Hinata told him about it? And did he know that it is only for the main branch?'
Then Neji noticed Naruto's hands weaving signs, Tora, Ushi, Inu, U, Mi, but he wasn't familiar with the jutsu.
Neji jumped as the jutsu activated to try to have it miss, but that was a mistake that he soon realized.
“Fūton: Daitoppa”, Naruto called out. (Wind Release: Great Breakthrough)
A gust of wind blew out from Naruto hitting Neji knocking him into the wall behind him. If he had stayed on the ground he might have been able to use chakra to stay put. Neji slid down the wall and saw Naruto racing towards him. He moved from the wall and started to get up. Naruto ran towards Neji and he was able to duck away from Naruto. Naruto ran to and up the wall and began to arc back towards Neji.
“Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!”, Naruto called out as four more Narutos appeared. Neji saw Naruto's chakra begin to gather in his hands. The chakra began to become visible and formed a small orb in the right hands of all of the Narutos. The Hokage and most of the clan elders of Konoha stood and stared as they recognized what the Narutos were doing. The Narutos jumped from the wall towards Neji and collectively yelled, “Rasengan!” The rest of the audience began to stand to see just what was going to happen.
Neji was concerned as he had never seen anyone ball their chakra in their hand before. He began his rotation just as the Narutos were about to hit him. The force of the blast threw them towards opposite sided of the arena.
Neji was lying on the ground and raised his head and looked towards where Naruto should have landed. He saw Naruto get up and before he knew what was going on he felt steel against his neck.
From behind him he could hear Naruto's voice. “I think that you should yield, Neji.”
The Naruto in front of him waved and then poofed away.
Neji knew that his chakra was low and that he could not continue, he had sorely underestimated Naruto and he paid for it in this match. He held his position and said, “I yield.”
After Naruto released Neji and they both got up the Proctor pointed at Naruto and stated, “Winner, Naruto Uzumaki.
Naruto held up his hands as the crowd went wild, cheering for Naruto. Naruto walked up to Neji and said to him quietly, “Like I said before, you can make your own destiny. If you truly want to rule yourself and not be someone's lap dog, just remember that you need allies and you have an ally with me.”
Neji looked at Naruto and wondered what he was getting at, should he leave the Hyūga clan and join with Naruto? It would be a bold move to abandon the clan, but they had already disowned the heiress and branded her. If they could do that to the heiress, what would they do to him? He was already branded with the caged bird seal., what else could they do to him? Naruto had certainly given him a lot to think about. Naruto walked back to the waiting area so the next match could start.
