Lee jumped down as well landing next to Gaara with a small wince. 'Oops... I used my legs thrusting to much last night... they are sore now...' He thought and then he watched Sasuke in front of them yelling at the top of his lungs. "Itachi! What the hell!! Nii-san!! STOP!" "Sasuke-kun quiet down!" Kiko yelled up trying to catch him with the rest of everyone. Lee raised an eye brow then remembered sound gathered the zombies and he turned his head only to widened his eyes seeing the zombies moving down already close enough to bite Lee. He ducked down and shot the gun for the first time in his life. The bullet going point blank up through it's jaw and out its brain and blood splattering everywhere. Lee shook in fear before grabbing Gaara's arm, "Come on Gaara-kun hurry up!"

Gaara shivered seeing all the blood then started running with Lee again but the two failed to notice a zombie which was cut in half dragging its self across the path right in front of Lee making him trip. The redhead stumbled since he had been pulled down and the carrier fell out of his grip and onto the street the cat meowing inside it. Gaara rubbed his head and got up only to gasp seeing a zombie standing in front of Lee and reaching down to grab his neck. "No!" Gaara ran forward and pushed the zombie off his boyfriend but in doing so it grabbed onto him as he fell. He tried to push the zombie off but it was to strong and he suddenly felt a horrible pain in his arm, it had bit him. "Aaaah!!" He yelled in pain and looked back at Lee. "G-Get out of here!" He shouted.

Lee's brown eyes widened knowing once a zombie got you there was no getting away. But he was having none of that, how dare that zombie touch his Gaara. 'No! I will not loose him! I WON'T!' Lee yelled in his head and he looked down, bangs covering his eyes. Quickly Lee pulled out the knife from the holster and he slashed it across the zombies legs that was biting Gaara. Looking down at the one dragging it's self towards him his eyes narrowed and he kicked it square in the face. "I will not leave you.. I will never leave you..." He growled out slipping the gun back into his hand and firing it three times in the zombies head it falling limp to the ground but Lee wanted to make sure and he moved over kicking the zombie's head like a soccer ball, it flying from how much strength he had gained from the adrenaline and fear rushing through his veins. The skull hit the side of a building and splattered while Lee quickly looked at Gaara. "Cover that tightly with your sleeve..." He said his deadly eyes still hidden from the one he loved. Lee knew how to kill, it was easy for him. All his self defense classes and sports made him perfect for the job. He just never wanted to, the thought of killing someone hurt him... but these things were threatening the life of someone he loved.. and that hurt him more. So he was willing to kill everyone of them if that meant Gaara would live.

Gaara's eyes were wide looking up at Lee, he had never thought he would see him like that. 'It hurts...no I don't want to turn into one of those things!' He thought and shakily got to his feet and held his sleeve over his wound that was bleeding like crazy. "L-Lee...I'm done...I have been bitten you s-should get o-out of here.." He said tears now filling his eyes at the thought of dieing. He didn't want to though..he didn't want Lee to leave but he didn't want to end up hurting the man he loved. "J-Just go...and make sure my siblings will b-be ok!"

Lee ignored the zombies that were staggering closer and he grabbed Gaara's shoulder on his good arm, pulling him close, looking at him almost crazily. "Gaara... I do not fucking care... I will not leave you to turn into one of those.. those freaks out here by yourself. Now come the fuck on, start running... do not give up! We will find a cure... you just have to believe me!" Lee yelled and then his light brown eyes filled with tears seeing the group had gone and they were now left alone. "I will not leave you Gaara-kun... come with me.. please..." He said tears now sliding down his face.

"L-Lee.." Gaara held back a sob and threw himself into Lee's arms. "I d-don't want to change and hurt you...b-but I don't want to be a-alone ether.." He cried and hugged him tightly then stepped back. "O-Ok...let's g-go..." He said still a bit shocked that Lee wanted to stay with him, and that he had cussed him at him. 'He r-really cares so much about me..but what will everyone do when they find out...I w-was bitten..' He thought and lifted a hand to try and whip away his tears.

"Good.. now no more crying.." He said in a soft tone leaning in and kissing Gaara before giving a deadly look to the zombies. "Freaks," He spat and shot the gun, shooting each one right through the head even though he had never shot a gun before that day. When he started to run with Gaara he blinked hearing the small kitten's terrified mew and half of him said just run away with Gaara, but the other caring half told him to go back. "Gaara-kun keep running.. do not stop I will catch up to you okay?" Lee said before dashing away to go get the cat carrier, dodging all of the zombies, being way quicker than him because he was in track and the fastest of all the students.

Gaara looked back at Lee and smiled a little glad he was getting the kitten but still worried. "B-Be safe.." He said then ran as fast as he could to where he had seen everyone go. "Gaara! This way!" Naruto said from the top of a ladder and Gaara struggled up the ladder his arm causing him a lot of pain. When he reached the top he sat there gasping and looked up at his friend who grinned at him. "Where's Bushy-Brows?" Naruto asked and Gaara pointed back. "H-He is coming.." He replied and walked into the safe house only to freeze when gun was pointed in his face by Itachi.

"Get out... Now..." Itachi said, piercing red eyes from his condition. "I may be going blind but I am not stupid... you got bit... now get out. I do not accept those freaks in here..." Itachi growled out. Sasuke's eyes widened and he went to grab the gun, "Itachi what are you do-" "Sasuke! Stay out of this... I was getting everything safe here and I am not letting some kid kill us all..." he yelled. "Go join that other boy..." He said being able to hear the last rounds of the gun of off and then nothing.

Gaara felt his heart start to pound faster and glanced back worried when he no longer heard the gun firing. 'L-Lee...' "What are you doing?! Don't point that at redhead!" Naruto said and looked at Sasuke. "Dude do something." He said and started to move to try and get over to Gaara. Kankuro glared daggers at Itachi and started to dig in his pack to get a weapon.

Everyone was turning on Itachi but no one had time to think before Lee was already up the ladder and  after he set the carrier down he had Itachi's hand in a vice grip. "Do not fucking dare fire that gun or so help me I will kill you where you stand..." Lee said, eyes enraged. Itachi winced but he loosened his grip on the gun then scoffed, "Fine, fine, you guys get yourselves killed." Then Lee let go and Itachi put his gun back on the small of his back going to leave again. "Enjoy my hide out then," He told them going to the ladder but Sasuke stopped him. "Brother you can not leave. You ran away before, you smirked and ran away! Are you trying to get me killed saving you? Stay here, we will keep Gaara chained to the wall," Sasuke said. Lee glared at the younger brother and then sighed looking back to Gaara before deciding it would be best. 'I do not want him to be shoved out.. if that keeps him here...' After a bit more arguing Lee had chains in his hands and he was cuffing Gaara to a  railing and trying a chain collar around his neck. "I am sorry about this..." He said trying not to force tears and he gently kissed Gaara. Sasuke's heart sunk having to go with his brother on how to chain Gaara up and where. "Make sure those stay tight..." Sasuke said before looking away unable to stop a wash of sadness that went over him as he walked away.

Gaara gave a sad smile and rested his head back on the railing. "It's ok..." He replied and looked down at the floor. "I don't know if it's a good idea to kiss me if I am infected.." He said fighting back his own tears. "A-At lest wrap up his arm.." Naruto said and rubbed his arms feeling a little cold. "We need to get out of the city and try and find a cure or..or something!" He added and ran his sleeve over his eyes hating to see his friend like this. Kankuro was pacing back and forth trying hard to think of what to do to help his little brother.

"Oh here let me," Tsunade said moving over with her big bag and Lee glared a little. "Stay away from him...." He practically growled out like a wild dog guarding it's pups. Getting up he walked over and took the bag. "I will bring it to you when I am done..." He mumbled not wanting to trust anyone near his lover, afraid they would do something to get rid of him. Then the nurse nodded and walked away as Lee knelt down next to his lover. "I will kiss you when ever I want by the way.. I do not care what happens..." Then he took out some alcohol wipes and sighed a little, "Gaara this is going to hurt a lot.. bear with me alright?"

Gaara looked surprised not expecting Lee to be so protective of him and blushed faintly. 'Well...at lest I know with Lee around no one is going to kill me..' "I d-don't want you to get infected though.." He said then looked at the wipes and groaned. "Alright.." He said and turned his head to the side not wanting to look at his bleeding wound. Naruto glanced at Sasuke then walked over and set down within arms length of Gaara in case he needed help or anything. "Be careful Lee it looks pretty deep.." He muttered and hugged his knees into his chest.

"I can only get infected if I am bitten it looks like," Lee said and carefully he ran the alcohol wipes over the skin to clean it out before pouring some directly on it and letting it air dry away. "Shhh..." He said soothingly seeing Gaara tense up in pain and he added some antibiotic ointment to the wound that had pain killers in it to help him. Then he wrapped the arm up tightly and he kissed Gaara's forehead. "I am sorry.. hold on I will find some aspirin okay?" He said only to blink when a bottle was tossed in his lap. "Only for his pain... if he starts getting a fever do not give him any.. he is changing then... the medicine will only cause problems," Itachi said glaring at Lee before moving over to talk with his brother.

Gaara stared down at the pills in Lee's lap blankly then suddenly gasped and jerked feeling a wave of pain move through his body. "Aaah!" He jerked a little more before letting his head drop as he coughed. Naruto tensed up and stared at Gaara, he winced when he noticed the redhead had coughed up a bit of blood. "H-Hey...redhead breath!" Naruto said moving onto his knees and was glad Itachi wasn't looking over knowing he would not be happy seeing this. Kankuro who was standing near by grit his teeth then walked over to hug his sister knowing she was just as upset as he was.

Lee's eyes widened and he moved his hand up loosening Gaara's chains a bit to give him room to breath. "Gaara-kun you can not thrash around like that... you will hurt yourself..." He mumbled gently stroking Gaara's neck and then he pat his back as best he could. "Are you okay?" He asked brown eyes worried. Seeing her brother tense and cough up blood sent Temari into more of a frantic and she started crying covering her mouth and nose with one of her hands. "I c-can't watch him like this..." she cried out into her hands turning and burring her head into her little brother's shoulder.

"I-I'm ok.." Gaara said once he finely stopped coughing and frowned looking at the blood on his shirt. "Great...I'm sorry...I feel a bit sick.." He muttered and looked away from them feeling an ache in his heart for everyone to have to see him like this. Naruto relaxed when Gaara's coughing had stopped and pulled a tissue out of his pocket and handed it to Lee. Kankuro winced seeing his sister cry and hugged her tighter. "W-We will have to leave soon..the longer we wait around..." He didn't wait to say it...he knew that everyone was different when they got infected..it ether took a few minutes or a few hours...or even days but they couldn't afford to waste time anymore.

"I do not want to leave him Kankuro... h-he... he is our little brother.." Temari cried and she had to pull away from Kankuro. "I-I'm sorry I need air..." She mumbled. Lee sighed glancing at Temari and then he started to clean the blood off of Gaara's shirt. "No no.. it is alright..." He said in a soft voice then he cleaned off the redhead's mouth before giving him two of the pills and holding water up to his mouth so he could swallow it.

Gaara swallowed and then let his head rest on his arm, he closed his eyes and tried to just tone everyone out. Knowing he might die was getting to him so he forced himself to relax. Kankuro sighed and glanced over at his little brother then fallowed Temari outside. "Well what are we gonna do now? Just sit around?" Ian asked from his spot on bed in the corner. Suigetsu looked up from cleaning off his sword and frowned. "We should try and find more people...and a cure for Gaara." He replied worried about the redhead as well

Itachi glared at Suigetsu, "We do not kill everyone for the sake of one person," He growled out. Sasuke noticed his brothers tone with his boyfriend and he punched his leg. "Itachi knock it off! You are always being a jerk! Can't you just act how you used to for once?!" he spat out. Itachi frowned and then he sighed and instead of punching his brother back he poked his forehead before standing up. "Fine fine... I will go find a path for us to get out, you guys stay quiet and pull the curtains closed , the board slides down to keep the light hidden. Pull the ladder up after I leave alright? These things can climb.." He informed them before walking over to the fire escape where Temari and Kankuro were. Temari was sobbing and hugging her brother close and Itachi sighed seeing the siblings getting along so well. Why could he not do that?

"Its gonna be ok Temari calm down.." Kankuro said trying to calm his sister down and hugged her again. Naruto set his pack down and pulled out a sleeping bag he had taken from the house. "Here Bushy-brows...Gaara can sit on this so he will be more comfortable.." He said and patted Lee on the shoulder trying to be comforting. Suigetsu stretched and then scooted closer to his boyfriend and whispered. "If Gaara changes what are we going to do?"

Temari calmed down and he mumbled something about already being tired again. Lee jumped and growled but then he relaxed as it was Naruto and he moved the pack under the redhead. "How does that feel hun?" He questioned the redhead. "I do not know..." Sasuke said looking at them and he felt for the couple so he moved to get off of the bed thinking for a moment.  "Hmmm..." He noticed how uncomfortable Gaara was and the Uchiha started moving around the building finding things. About an hour later he had one of the beds set up to where it was attached to the wall and longer chains were in there. Walking over he stopped a little away from them. "I set up one of the bedrooms so Gaara can lay down and sit...and I found a collar instead of the chain so it will not hurt him as much..." He told the other boys.

Gaara lifted his head weakly and stared up at Sasuke for a moment. "Thank you.." He said giving a smile before moved his arms up more so it would be easier to get him unhooked from the railing. 'At lest on a bed I can lay down..' He thought. "Wow good work Sasuke! Come on Bushy-Brows let's move him in there." Naruto said not really worried about getting to close to the redhead. Suigetsu smiled and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend lighting kissing his check. "That was sweet of you." He said softly. Kankuro walked back into the room and crossed his arms watching them. "What are you doing with my brother?" He asked with narrowed eyes not trusting them.

Lee glared back un able to help himself, "I am taking care of him calm down..." Then he got Gaara unhooked from the railing and he picked him up carrying Gaara into the bed room, laying him down on the bed hooking the collar up to him and got him attached to the bed. His arms where still able to move and his legs this way and he could lay down and sit up and move around the leash even reaching to the bathroom. "He can go far, but if something happens I covered the door in steel plates so you can just run out and close it and he can't get out okay?" Sasuke said before snuggling into Suigetsu a little. "You softened me a bit.. and I may as well do some good while we are still alive.."

Gaara blushed from being picked up then curled up on the bed and closed his eyes tightly, it wasn't long before he started coughing again. Naruto set Gaara's backpack in the room with him then walked out into the hallway to look at Sasuke. "Well it works...thanks dude." He said and moved so he was sitting next to the door and closed his eyes. Suigetsu snuggled his lover then lead him back into the main room with everyone else. Kankuro sighed feeling useless since he couldn't help his brother and looked out the window down at the street, watching the zombies mill about.

Everyone stayed there in the morning, freaking out and a little after night time Itachi jumped up and pulled the ladder down quietly, climbing up and pulling it back up. "Alright guys I have a route planed ou- Where is Gaara?!" he asked quickly noticing the redhead was no longed tired up, but then when he watched his brothers eyes he sighed seeing Lee curled up next to the boy who was breathing hard and sweating, obviously not doing so well. He lowered his voice and moved over to the ones who were awake. "Alright I have the route out.. but we will have to take it now... the zombies are less active at night," He informed them and he pulled out a small napkin with the route doodled on it.

Kankuro stood up and walked over to Itachi. "Alright...but who stays with Gaara?" He asked and winced glancing in the room his brother was in. Naruto slowly woke up hearing them talking and yawned. "Did you find a way out of the city?" Naruto muttered as he got up and stretched his arms above his head. He then walked over and knelt down next to Kiko. "Wake up.." He said softly and light shook her shoulder.

Kiko sleepily woke up and she rubbed her eyes before pouting feeling around for her glasses she had brought because her contacts would be too difficult to deal with. When she found them she put them on and rubbed her eyes. "Nh.. what is it Naru-kun...?" she asked tilting her head to the side cutely. Temari glanced over at them then she frowned at what Itachi said next. "Lee can stay with him, he is willing to accept the consequences and I will make sure to leave them enough food and weapons in case of an emergency..." Temari glared at him and she folded her arms, "No.. I will not leave him here..." she growled out.

Naruto smiled and pulled Kiko up onto her feet then glared at Itachi as well. "You make it sound like Gaara wanted to get bitten...do you really need to leave him here??" The blond asked and frowned. "Go...I would only slow all of you down in the state I am in...if you find a cure you can come back." Gaara said not even bothering with opening his eyes. Kankuro tightened his hands into fists and bit his lip, he didn't want to leave his little brother behind...but Gaara would be in more danger if they brought him. "We will find one.." He said and started picking up his things.

"I will stay with him.. just go..." Lee said to them and the group sighed starting to set up their own packs and make on for the two lovers. "I am sorry Gaara, if we find a cure, we will come back to get you alright?" He said noticing his younger brother was glaring at him. Kiko felt a little dizzy and she leaned into Naruto letting out a soft sigh. "Naru-kun.. is it right to be leaving them?" she questioned before blinking at her brother who was sprawled out on the floor and she gently pushed him with her foot. "Oi.. Ian wake up..."

Gaara's eyes opened hearing that and rolled over so he could look at Lee. "No your not...go..I am not being a burden on you." He said and pulled the blanket over his head. Naruto wrapped an arm around Kiko after gathering his things then looked over at Lee knowing he was not going to listen to the redhead. "Keep a eye on him Bushy-Brows, if we find a way out I will come back and get you two." He said grinning and sweat dropped when Ian jumped up. "What? Whats happening?!" Ian said freaking out and Suigetsu rolled his eyes. Gaara blinked getting annoyed he was being ignore and lightly pushed on Lee's chest. "Go.."

"Stop that and go back to sleep Gaara-kun.. I am not going anywhere..." He said to Gaara kissing him softly, hold him close. Kiko smiled at the two before sweat dropping at her brother. "Ian get up, we are going to try and escape..." she told him. Itachi got his back pack together and he put it on waiting for everyone else. "We are wasting time, come on say your good byes and let's go.." Temari frowned looking at Gaara and then she took a deep breath in to calm her nerves and go back to be strong and determined, "Gaara... I love you... I promise I will not leave you here to die.."

Gaara blushed from the kiss but frowned a little at Lee when he pulled back, he sat up and rubbed his arm as he looked at his sister. "Ok..I love you to sis...be careful." He said forcing himself to smile not wanting to upset his siblings. Kankuro walked over and ruffled up his brothers hair then took in a shaky breath as he turned to leave. "Love ya little bro..Lee you better keep him safe.." He said as he walked outside. Everyone else said goodbye and left but the blond who stayed to give Lee a hug then Gaara one. "I s-swear we will come back.." Naruto said his eyes tearing up and he quickly left shutting the door and leaving Lee and Gaara alone.

Lee let out a long sigh before snuggling close to his redhead, honestly not even wanting to wake up as he held him close and they both fell back asleep.
