Neji sighed at his desk. He wanted to go out tomorrow night with Hinata to take her mind off things, but Naruto wouldn't be able to go based on whatever operation Kakashi had going on that Naruto had hinted at earlier that week.
A knock at his door had him looking up from his maudlin thoughts. “Mr. Hyuuga,” Deidara said, peeking his head in the door. “I hope I'm not interrupting?”
Neji smiled and shook his head. “Not at all, Yami. What can I assist with?”
Deidara stepped fully into the room, straightening his tie. “I was supposed to get a report from Miss Hyuuga, but it appears she is out of the office again. I don't suppose you could help me get that from her office, yeah?”
Neji stood and smoothed down his dress shirt before moving around the desk. “Not a problem.” He made sure his keys were in his hand before moving out to Hinata's office. “Which report was it?”
Deidara smiled, “The Armada financials she was working on.” He bit his lip. “Is she feeling well? She's been out of office all week.”
Neji nodded. “Just a bit of a cold. Not bad enough to go the doctor, but enough she doesn't want to get everyone sick.”
Deidara kept his smirk to himself. He knew for a fact it was more likely a heartbreak given that her fiance was riding Madara's cock now. “Please wish her well for me.” He smiled as he took the report Neji had provided him. “I hope she'll be feeling better soon.”
Neji smiled and nodded. “I will convey your message. Is there anything else I can get for you?”
Deidara shook his head. “No thank you, Mr. Hyuuga.” He smiled. “Although, if you're not too busy, we'd be happy if you could join some of the administrative staff for lunch today.”
Neji nodded. “I'd love to. Please come back and get me when you're ready.” He smiled as the man waved and headed back to his office. Yami'd been a welcome addition to the office, quickly surpassing his uncle's previous assistant. He sighed, thinking back to the information that Naruto had given him and Hinata. He knew Hinata would not tell her father the reason for the wedding being off, and Neji wondered if he should do it himself.
Without thinking further, he walked to his Uncle's office and knocked on the door. “Hiashi, do you have a couple minutes?”
Hiashi smiled warmly at Neji. “Of course.”
Neji shut the office door behind him and closed the blinds. “It's not work related.” He bit his lip. “I found out from Naruto why Haku suddenly broke off his engagement with Hinata.”
Hiashi's eyes hardened at the mention of his daughter's ex-fiance. “She will not tell me what happened between them. She said she preferred to deal with it herself.”
Neji sighed. “I debated whether or not I should bring it up, but honestly I think Naruto and Itachi got mixed into something. He told me that he and Itachi got mixed up in something bad, but he couldn't elaborate without ruining something Kakashi has in motion.” He sighed again. “Haku is sleeping with Itachi's Uncle. Neither Naruto or I could tell her that, though. She only knows he cheated on her.”
Hiashi exhaled slowly. “My poor girl.” He looked at the ceiling and closed his eyes, asking for patience. “Thank you for telling me.” He shook his head. “We won't be visibly active in whatever Naruto and Itachi are dealing with involving Madara, but see if you can't get a bit more information out of them so we can look into if there's anything Hyuuga Industries can help with. I know Hatake, I'll try see if there's anything we can do there for him as well.”
Neji nodded. “Yami asked me to lunch with the administrative staff today. It's been a while since I've gone, so I'll be going out with them. Would you care to join us?”
Hiashi nodded. “That would be wonderful.”
After Neji left the office, Hiashi pulled out his cell phone and dialed his old friend. “Hello Hatake,” he said. “I think we need to go get drinks soon.”

Naruto sighed as he stood behind the bar with a girl he'd been told was Temari. “I'm sorry. I hope you don't think I'm sighing about you.” He bit his lip.
Temari shook her head. “It's okay. I know that he got you somehow. It's what he does. He looks for your weakness and pounces.” She put her hand on Naruto's shoulder and nodded to Lee. “At least you have someone watching your back. I've had to suck his cock to keep my brother from going to jail. It is what it is.”
Naruto smiled softly at her. “I'll help you if there's anyway I can.”
She smiled back, but shook her head. “I'll figure it out on my own. I'm getting close to being able to pay off Gaara's debts and then I should be able to get out of here.” She nodded to the floor. “For tonight, if you can handle getting drink orders from the edge of the dance floor back to me, and then back out to the customers, I think we'll be good.”
Naruto nodded. He frowned as he saw Itachi leave Madara's office with Sai with Gai just behind them. Itachi headed over to Naruto and pulled him into his arms. “Stay with Lee. Stay safe.” He kissed Naruto's temple. “I'll probably be late getting back. Are you alright to get home on your own?”
Naruto nodded. “I probably won't be able to sleep though. You'll head straight up to my room when you get back, right?”
Itachi frowned. “Yeah, as soon as we are back, I'll be crawling into your bed and holding you tight.”
Naruto took Itachi's hand and kissed his palm. “Just come home, okay.” He sighed as Itachi turned and walked through the doors.
Temari's mouth twitched into a slight frown. She knew that feeling of worrying about your precious people all too well. Gaara was a really good hacker, but he'd started messing around in some government websites. Madara had been asking Gaara to work for him for several months before that. When Gaara's arrest was made public, Madara had jumped in. He'd arrange for Gaara to get off so long as both he and Temari would work as part of his corporation. She shook her head and placed a supportive hand on Naruto's shoulder. “He'll be okay. Go on and check on the tables.”
Naruto smiled thankfully at her and headed over to the tables near the edge of the dance floor. Lee trailed him, close enough to be able to step in, but far enough to not be in the way. Naruto huffed as his ass was groped several times while he tried to take orders. He almost punched Lee as the man had moved very close into his personal space and he assumed it was another groper. “Sorry, Lee,” he said as he dropped his fist. “I thought you were another one of them.”
Lee smiled in that annoyingly chipper way he always did. “It is quite alright my youthful friend!” He leaned in close to Naruto's ear, and whispered much more subdued, “but Madara's out of his office, and I'll give him no opening.”
Naruto took a deep breath, but nodded his thanks. He made his way back to Temari with a couple tables worth of drink orders. As he was waiting for the drinks to be made so he could bring them back, Madara came over and stood beside him. “Are you settling in alright, Naruto?”
Naruto's entire body was high-strung and tense as the man got too close for comfort. Lee could see the stress in his charge's body, and stood directly beside Naruto between him and Madara. As Naruto relaxed, he smiled gratefully at the man. He looked at Madara and nodded just once. “Yes, Temari's been very helpful.”
Madara smirked and leered at Temari. “Yes, Temari is very helpful.” He shook his head and thought about Haku, “but I'm sure she's happy I found myself a sweet little morsel to entertain myself with.”
Naruto saw the frustration flash in Temari's eyes, but he ignored it. “I'm happy that you have Haku, but surely you understand why I am so angry with you and him.” He smiled as Temari brought the drinks over. “If you'll excuse me, I have to drop these off.”
Madara chuckled as his eyes darkened while Naruto and Lee headed to the tables around the dance floor they had just come from. “So he's doing alright?”
Temari nodded. “Yeah, he's a people person, so it comes to him naturally.” She sighed. “Honestly, don't push him.” When Madara quirked an eyebrow as he looked at her she continued quickly. “He's good. Better than anyone else you've tried to bring in here. I think you're going to find yourself in trouble if you try to corrupt him.” She shrugged. “Your call of course, but I think you're playing with fire with this one.”
Madara smiled. “Whatever Haku got last night, can you get me another one? He's learning the business tonight, so I'm sure I won't be back out here again.”

Kakashi smiled at Hiashi Hyuuga. While they had no call to see other socially much anymore, they had been really good friends at school and as Naruto and Hinata had formed a quick friendship, they'd hadn't completely lost touch. “Hiashi,” he said with a nod as the man approached the table.
Hiashi smiled back at his friend, quickly grasping the outstretched hand for a quick shake. “Kakashi. How's Iruka?”
Kakashi chuckled, “Actually, pretty pissed off at me right now. I, uh, forgot about our lunch date today and sort of double booked you.”
Hiashi snorted. “You could have canceled on me and saved yourself some couch time.” The server took their orders quickly and Hiashi continued. “I'm glad you didn't though. I got a bit from Neji and I really want to see what's going on and if I can help at all.”
Kakashi exhaled and folded his hands on the table, quickly scanning the restaurant. He lowered his voice as he leaned closer to Hiashi. “Madara's bad news. I don't want you caught up in this.”
Hiashi set his mouth in a firm line. “I know, but I'm already involved thanks to Haku.” He raised an eyebrow as Kakashi nodded rather show surprise. “I wouldn't want to get in the way of your investigation, but I also have the ability to look into some things a bit easier than you can under the guise of business deals.”
Kakashi frowned, but leaned back as their server came back to the table. “Thank you,” he said to the server. When he was sure no one would overhear them again, he leaned back in to Hiashi. “I'll let you know if something comes up. I have Itachi and an FBI agent working with me. Naruto knows nothing of the full plan, for a couple reasons. The boy can't keep a secret to save his soul and I just really prefer he doesn't know how much danger his boyfriend may truly be in.”
Hiashi smirked. “I have it on good authority he's going to be a fiance after Christmas.”
Kakashi nodded. “Itachi gave Naruto a promise ring earlier this year, and he asked Iruka last week if he could propose. Iruka of course said yes. He was so suspicious of Itachi when he first started dating Naruto. After watching them, and especially with the situation they find themselves in, after watching Itachi especially make really hard decisions because he knows it's what's best for Naruto, Iruka is actually really excited.”
Hiashi smiled. “Neji and Itachi used to compete for top grades. When Hinata brought Naruto over, I thought for sure that Neji was going to chase him off the way he did every boy Hinata ever talked to. And then he just didn't. Naruto is basically part of our family, so please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist.”
Kakashi nodded. “I'll keep that in mind.” He shook his head. “Any new ladies in your life?”
Hiashi chuckled. “Between Hinata and Hanabi, I have my hands full.” He shook his head. “My assistant is gorgeous though. Too bad he's a bit young for my taste.”
Kakashi raised an eyebrow. “What about Charlene? I thought she was your assistant.”
Hiashi rolled his eyes. “I let her do really innocuous jobs that she cannot possibly mess up. It's the only way to keep her old man happy and not have my business ruined.” He shook his head, “But this new guy is good. His name's Yami, and he's gorgeous. He almost looks like he could be related to Naruto, but much more feminine in appearance.”
Kakashi smiled. “You and the kids should come over next weekend for supper. It would be good to get Hinata out of the house.”
Hiashi smiled. “We would be happy to. I'm sure Neji would feel better seeing Naruto too.”
Hiashi and Kakashi shook hands as they left the restaurant with plans to meet each other the following weekend for a dinner. Kakashi sighed as he slipped into his car. He sent a text message to Sai letting him know of Hiashi's offer. He knew the man was serious and had connections that both he and Sai couldn't hope to have.
