"Akatsuki, they killed him!" Kurenai said bawling her eyes out. Kai's eyes widened in shock before embrassing Kurenai.
"Kurenai..." Kai said. She burrowed her head into his shoulder. "And I was going... to tell him the good news." Kurenai said in between hiccups.
"Good news?" Kai asked.
"Yeah. I'm pregnant with Asuma's child." Kurenai said. Kai pulled her closer.

"Kurenai, we may not know each other very well, but I will help you through this." Kai said. Kurenai nodded on his shoulder.
"Kai, what do you do when you are drowning in pain?" She asked as they seperated. They say down on the roof ledge.
"Well." Kai said, debating how to go about the conversation. "When my mother died, I was lost, for a whole year." Kai said. Kurenai looked at him in surprise. "She was my whole world, and then snap, just like that I was lost, going circles on my path through life." Kai explained.
"How did you escape?" She asked.
"I had some help. You may not belive this, but a goddess reached out to me." He said. Kurenai was confused.
"A goddess? Like the Storm God, or Sun God the Uchiha named their techniques after?" Kurenai asked.
"Yep. Her names Kaguya, Goddess of the Moon, Illusions, Mother of Chakra, and the World Guardian. She reached out to me, and helped me." Kai said.
"She put me on the path to become the ninja I am today." He explained.
"Really? I didn't think such beings existed." She said. "Why did she help you?" Kurenai asked.
"Well, it's a bit of mutual agreement. She gave me a new purpose, and direction in life. And in return, she only asks for a bit of chakra." He explained. At seeing the red eyed beauties confusion he elaborated. "She is in an extremely weakened state right now. Not enough people believe in her anymore, so she wanted me to convert others so that she may regain her strength." He said.
Kurenai was silent for a moment. "What did she say to you?" She asked. Kai raised an eyebrow.
"She told me that I could make a big difference in the world. That my life would not be forgotten like the countless others in the world. She saw my potential and brought it out of me." Kai said, giving an edited version of their first meeting.
"Here, why don't you try praying to her. She may guide you, even if you don't know it." Kai said. He then showed her the hand signs for the chakra transfer jutsu. "Just send your sorrow, and she'll get the message." Kai explained. Kurenai nodded before sending a bit of her chakra to the goddess.
"You know, knowing there's higher beings out there is kinda scary." He said once she was finished. "But it's also a bit relieving to know that someone is watching over us, helping to guide us through life." Kai said with a smile.
"Thank you Kai. I feel a lot better." Kurenai smiled.
"No problem. Do you want me to walk you home?" He asked. Kurenai smiled once more.
"No, but that you. I still need a bit of time to myself." She said before jumping off. Kai nodded before he decided to go find Shizune in order to set up a schedule for his medical training.
"Hey Shizune." Kai said after an hour of looking for her. She was currently walking out of the hospital.
"Oh, hi there Kai. How are you feeling?" She asked.
"I'm a bit sore and stiff, but I should be fine in a few days. By the way, did Lady Tsunade talk to you about my lessons?" Kai asked.
"Yeah, she said that you want to learn medical Jutsu so that you can prevent future missions from being like your last one." She said.
"Yeah. I was hoping we can set up some kind of schedule." Kai said. They chatted for a few hours, setting up their plans for his training. The next few days were taken up by Kai healing, a date with Hana, and Kai's first lesson with Shizune.
He was reminising on the last few days, not noticing Naruto returning. "Hey Kai!" Naruto said, gaining the silver hairs attention.
"Oh, Naruto, your back." Kai said.
"Yep, the mission went pretty well. How was yours?" He asked.
"I got pretty banged up, so I won't be doing any missions for a while. I've just been healing, along with Hana's and I's second date." Kai said.
"Hana? Like Kiba's sister?" Naruto asked.
"Yep. I still haven't met this Kiba guy yet though." Kai said.
"Well, how was the date?" He asked.

Day of the date.
Knock knock. Kai struck the door a few times. The door opened, revealing Tsume. "Oh, Kai. How are you?" She asked.
"I'm doing well Mrs. Inuzuka. Is Hana home?" Kai asked.
"No, but she should be home in a half an hour. She should be on her lunch break by then." Tsume explained. "You can come in if you'd like." She said. Kai nodded with a smile before Tsume turned around, showing him in. As they walked through the house, Kai took notice of Tsume's Milf curves.

"Wait, you went up against one of the Akatsuki, and escaped?" She said shocked.
"Yeah, We were after one of their informants, but one of their members was their. We managed to take the target, and nearly escaped, but the kunoichi saw through our plan and attacked me as we had split up." Kai explained.
"Really now. How did you escape?" Tsume asked.
"We engaged in battle, after I had sent Riku, my Owl summon, away with the target. I got a hit or two on her, but she managed to break my arms. Luckily, right before she was going to killme, I placed her under a genjutsu that let me escape." Kai explained.
"Was it your time jutsu?" Tsume asked. Kai moved back a little in surprise.
"You know of that?" He asked. Tsume smirked.
"Scared I know how to beat it?" She asked.
"No, I welcome the challenge if you do. I've yet to meet someone who has escaped it. But no, I did not use it on her. I used a different one." He explained.
"Well, it seems you are strong enough for my daughter then." Tsume said with a smile. "But I would like to experience your jutsu on myself, to see if it meets up to the hype that Hana made it out to be." Tsume said. Kai smirked before placing her in the jutsu.
"Tsume. You will think that I am the best choice for your daughter to marry. You also won't be against trying to get me for your own. You also will think about me having a harem, like the strongest pack beasts do." He said. He then waited a few minutes before releasing the jutsu.
"Weird. How long has passed?" She asked.
"A few minutes." Kai explained.
"That is a strong jutsu." Tsume said. They chatted for a few minutes until the door was heard.
"Mom, I'm home." Hana said. She was surprised to see Kai in the living room as an walked in. "Kai what are you doing here?" She asked.
"I thought today would be a good day to have our second date." Kai said standing up.
"Oh, I'd love to. What time tonight?" Hana asked. Kai smiled.
"Actually, I thought we could go on a stroll and a picnic." Kai said. Hana smiled.
"That sounds lovely. Let me freshen up and I'll be right down." She said before heading to her room. A few minutes later she returned, a bit of lipstick on her lips. The two walked through town, chatting about their lives since their last date. Soon they entered a park and Kai unsealed a blanket and a basket.
"Kai... I was thinking. I think we should go steady." Hana said, a blush on her cheeks.
"I'm not against it, your an incredible woman, but isn't it a little early for us to be official?" He asked.
"Well, last time was amazing, and so far this date has been just as good. I feel the spark that most people say their relationships have." Hana said. Kai scooched over until he was right next to her. He took her hands and held them in his.
"If you really want to go steady, then let's go steady. I've had a wonderful time with you Hana." Kai smiled. The two leaned in until their lips gently touched.

"Anko's a weird woman." Naruto said. Luckily, Kai didn't tell him about how he corrupted Hana and Anko.
