A/N I think I enjoyed my last reviews the most. I was called evil by tweedleedee, mean by timberwolf, and unneeded threatened to strangle me. I am truly loved. (snort… hehehe… lol) I guess you won’t believe me but I really wasn’t trying to torture anyone by stopping there and making a cliffhanger. (THAT was a cliffhanger?) It was just the natural place to stop so I didn’t even think about it because I knew THIS chapter would be long (though I didn’t realize it would be quite this long.) Chapter 12 Naruto’s POV & Sasuke’s POV alternate with extra spacing
Naruto paid no attention to Sai as he finally left his teammates halfway between the hotel and the festival. The building he was leaning against put them both in the shadows, the moonlight failing to reach very far into the darkness.
Sasuke crowded closer, invading Naruto’s space. Naruto took a deep breath and held it… waiting for what he knew was coming. The sound of the music from the festival could still be heard in the distance as well as the low hum of people talking and enjoying themselves. But where they were standing, felt isolated… like they were the only two people there. The decorative trees and bushes arranged close to the building made it feel like they were in their own pocket of privacy. Everyone was off being part of the crowd leaving the two of them totally alone.
With one hand lightly resting on Naruto’s hip, Sasuke’s other hand came up and slipped around to the nape of Naruto’s neck before sliding up into his hair. As Sasuke slightly tilted his head to the side, Naruto could see that he was gazing at his mouth.
