A/N: I hope everyone is having a good weekend/week. To all my Canadian loves, Happy Canada Day! I know it's a couple days past, but better late than never! To all my Americans, Happy 4th! I hope you're all enjoying it! July 3rd is independence day for Belarus, and happy early Tyrwald day to the Isle of Man~ You'd be surprised just how many independence day holidays there are in July, all around the world. It's not all about America, so lets enjoy freedom where ever we are, yeah? LIKE THE FREEDOM TO SMUT! And to share it with all out friend. I wanna get to the reviews here, and I know you're all wanting to get to this update, so here we go! Moodysavage: I can't wait to get Naruto in a dress XD. I've been thinking about it all week. If Itachi has to dress up and parade around, he's not going to suffer alone. Naruto DID say he wanted Itachi to enjoy himself at the party, so he's gonna do just that. I really think you're going to enjoy this next chapter, dear. Carousel: I'm really glad you like the dynamic in Naruto and Sasuke's friendship. It's really important to me that it's canon, and not cracky, ya know? Thank you! Sorry this update took a bit longer. FlightlessBird: Awwww Thank you. I've had such a fire in me for this pairing lately, and all of you reviewing really helps keep me motivated. I'm really trying to keep up a decent pace. I'm so glad you like what I picked for the costumes. It hit me very randomly one day, while I was working out and listening to music, that I didn't want to just pass it off and go with the cliche vampire. Phantom came on my playlist, and it just clicked. It also gives an easy way to get Naruto to dress as a girl. XD. Charlie: <3 You're awesome. Thank you for your reviews. Sorry for the short break in posts, but I'll try and keep on a roll here. It's too fun, writing this fic. LilianKnight: Ahahahaha it'll be worth the wait! I promise~ AngelTalion: MY LOVE. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!? XD. The sex in this fic has been pretty vanilla so far, but it is going to be getting rougher and raunchier as time goes by. Just wait till you see what I have up my sleeve for the Christmas chapter that will happen eventually. Also, gahahahaha I was REALLY hoping you'd like the costume ideas. Itachi is going to spare NO expense in Naruto's costume. He's going to call in a couple 'friends' who are experts in cross dressing. There will be complaints about the yelling, from five floors down, I'm sure. And ALRIGHT! YAY! Modern it iss! I'll probably start writing it tonight. I've already been planning what's going to take place in my head >3. I'm so glad you like this story. Dataxia: THANK YOU! I'm really happy that you like it~ I hope the scene lives up to the hype that's building for it.
NOW TO THE STORY! Chapter Twelve: I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause For a long moment, Sasuke sat and stared at Naruto, before bursting out into laughter at the gullible blonds ignorance, and the situation his over-eagerness had just gotten him into. Itachi simply shook his head, and took a drink of his coffee. “You promised me, Naruto. And as your Master, I have to hold you to your promises. Or else, where would that get us? You wouldn't learn to hold your promises, and a man is only as good as his word.” Itachi said. Sasuke had explained, just moments earlier, what exactly Naruto had agreed to. “THAT WAS BEFORE I KNEW YOU WANTED ME TO DRESS UP AS A GIRL, YA DAMN PERV!” Naruto yelled again. Itachi released a heavy sigh, eyebrow twitching mildly in irritation. He disliked the unwanted attention Naruto was drawing by his outbursts. The businessman didn't yell, though. Reaching over, Itachi leaned across the table. His firm, strong hand slid over those messy blond strands that spiked up so naturally. Smoothing that hair back a little, the tenderness of his touch drew the boy to quiet down, his uncertain blue eyes looking to his Master for help. Continuing to pet him gently, Itachi leveled his ebony gaze on the other. “It will be okay, Naruto.” He said firmly. It was those words that took the gusto from his pets anger and refusal. Sagging in his chair, Naruto glared at the scraps of food on his plate. He wasn't talking anymore, but he wasn't fighting. He'd accepted his fate, and resigned to simply pouting. That was good enough for the CEO, who withdrew, to keep on at his food. “So... Where did you run off to, today?” Sasuke inquired. He was bored, now, legs crossed as he reclined in his chair, tapping away at his phone. Naruto had learned at least one thing about Sasuke that day. The guy had an addiction to texting. Perking a little, the blond glanced over, curious to hear too. “I had a meeting this afternoon.” Was the simple reply. Nothing special. Itachi went to lots of meetings, all the time. Sighing, he looked away, only to look up yet again, surprised when Sasuke snorted and rolled his eyes. “On a Saturday? Dressed like that? Please. If you had a legitimate meeting, you'd be in a suit, and you're hair wouldn't look like shit.” Naruto blinked, realizing Sasuke was right. Well, he didn't think Itachi's slightly fluffy, wind tousled hair looked like shit, but he was dressed fairly casually compared to the three piece suits he wore to work. “I never said it was a business meeting. I have a life outside of the office, Sasuke.” Itachi replied dryly, getting agitated. “Uh huh. I bet it was a Deidara Meeting, wasn't it? Can't have him over now, so you had to go out?” Itachi tensed up, when Sasuke hit the nail on the head, sending a sharp look to his little brother. “Like it's any of your business anyway? Shut up.” Reaching over, the older Uchiha immediately flicked his sibling right in the forehead. Despite how the boy tried to avoid it. Naruto chewed on a french fry quietly, blinking in confusion as he looked from one man to the other. “Who's Deidara?” He asked, innocently enough, shifting in his seat a bit to sit a little straighter. “No one you need to worry about.” Itachi said immediately. Sasuke rolled his eyes, getting up from his seat, and dropping a few bills on the table. “He's Itachi's whore. Whenever he needs to fuck something, Deidara is the person he calls up. I gotta go. Sakura needs me to pick up some things and go to the gallery.” Not bothering to glance back after he left, it was probably a good thing. Itachi looked like he was barely repressing the desire to slaughter his irritating brother, and Naruto resembled someone who'd just been punched in the gut. “Naruto... It's not...” “Is it true, Itachi? Were you out with this person?” Naruto asked quietly. His clear blue gaze was unsettling in the pained way he stared at his master. Fisting his hands against the table, Itachi's jaw tensed. He couldn't lie to Naruto... At least this might finally get that distance between them settled... It needed to happen, didn't it? He wasn't quite so sure anymore, but... “Yes. It's true.” He said finally, his face drawn back into a look of perfect composure, as if he felt he'd done nothing wrong. Standing up from the table, and putting the rest of the money for their lunch on top of what Sasuke had left for his portion of the meal, Itachi, tucked his wallet away. Naruto was silent as he got up, picking up the bag from the costume shop. He seemed to be pretty shaken by the new information he'd learned, and Itachi was honestly at a loss for what to say to his pet. He was already regretting what he'd done.... But what other choice did he have? Quietly, both men walked out to the sleek red car that was Itachi's. Had he not been so put off, Naruto would have probably commented on how cool it was, or wanting to drive it, something obnoxious. And the fact that Itachi was anticipating a comment, only to receive silence... He felt his lungs constrict a bit. Unlocking the doors and holding the passenger door open to the Lotus Evora, Itachi reached out to usher Naruto in the car. But before his hand could lay on the others back, Naruto jerked away from him and practically threw himself into the car. It was going to be a long drive back... Getting back to the apartment, the strained silence continued, and as soon as the apartment was unlocked, the blond youth ran inside, throwing the bag onto the couch as he hurried, almost running, to his bedroom. Itachi was still pulling his shoes off in the foyer when the door slammed, echoing through the apartment loudly. “This is good... This is what you want. Now he'll know that our relationship is strictly... Master and Pet...” Itachi breathed out to himself as he faltered in unlacing his dress shoes. The tense business-mans shoulders sagged a little, and he frowned. It made him angry that he felt so bad for just continuing his life as he would have prior to Naruto. What right did that brat have to be angry with him for sleeping with someone else? It's not like Naruto had been eager to repeat that had happened that first morning... He was a man... With needs. And obligations. Growling, Itachi rubbed at his face, and tried to get his mind to stop justifying himself. There was no need. He was in charge, and perfectly within his rights to sleep with whomever he pleased. Walking down the hall and briskly knocking on the door to Naruto's room, Itachi waited for an answer, but didn't get one. “Naruto, what do you want for dinner tonight? Ramen? Or something else? I need to know so I can make sure I have the right ingredients.” He called out softly, waiting with baited breath for a reply. After a few moments, he pressed again. “Naruto?” Almost immediately, he heard the TV switch on, the volume rising quickly to the point where he knew his voice wouldn't carry over it. Part of him swelled in anger at being ignored so blatantly, but another part of him wondered if it wasn't anger, but hurt. Either way, he stopped trying, and walked away.... OoO0OoO Monday morning, Itachi startled from an uneasy sleep, and jolted up in bed, looking around his room in a panic. Naruto wasn't there... He hadn't come in that night... Or the night before. In fact, he hadn't seen Naruto since they had come home Saturday. The blond refused to talk to him, and even his attempts to lure him out with food has been useless. Itachi was getting worried. Why was the blond this upset over Deidara? It was getting ridiculous, and because of it, Itachi had managed less than 4 hours of sleep the whole weekend. After getting ready for work, Itachi stopped outside of Naruto's door, raising a hand to knock, but hesitating, he finally just sighed, and set his palm against the cold wood, quietly. “I'm going to work. Make sure to take a shower, Naruto... And... Eat something, please?” He called out gently. All that came back to him was that muffled silence, the quiet undertone of the tv switching on again. It was as loud as if Naruto had yelled at him to go away with his own voice. When he arrived to the office, Itachi knew well enough that he'd never be able to focus on work with things the way they were, so, out of desperation, he made a phone call. After three rings, the voice that answered was shocked, and full of disbelief. “Itachi? Did you butt dial me, because I know you would never actually call me for anything other than an emergency.” Sasuke said, sounding a little groggy. At 9 am, Itachi realized he'd probably woken his brother up. “No, smartass. I have a bit of an emergency, so wake up and pay attention.” He replied, aggravated that he hadn't been able to fix this situation on his own. “Yeah, sure. Spill it.” Sasuke mumbled, some rustling in the background was probably from the boy crawling out of bed, and padding into the kitchen to pour himself some coffee, left over from his girlfriend, Sakura, making a pot before heading out that morning. “Naruto won't leave his room, or talk to me. He hasn't come out since we got home from lunch on Saturday. I know you have a busy day of sitting on your ass, doing nothing, planned out already but... Could you go over and try to talk to him? At least get him to come out long enough to eat something?” “Why should I? You probably opened your big mouth and said something insensitive, so you fix it.” Sasuke replied bluntly, though he was a bit surprised to hear that such a cheerful guy could get depressed like this. “Well, it's you're fault for telling him about Deidara and making him upset like this.” Itachi growled, fingers hitting the keys on his computer angrily, trying to answer some emails while he talked. “You're the one who fucked the guy. How was I supposed to know the kid would get so upset? Unless....” Pausing for a second, Sasuke's eyes widened a bit, when it hit him. Setting his coffee mug down on the counter, he nearly broke the ceramic cup. “You fucked Naruto and then you went and fucked Dei?!” The younger Uchiha yelled over the phone, surprisingly angry at his older brother. “God you are a fucking idiot sometimes Itachi! No wonder he's upset!” Already, Sasuke was storming back to the room he shared with Sakura, digging through his closet for clothes to put on. “It's none of your business who I fuck, Sasuke. You don't know the whole story, so don't act like you know. Just go check on him. He likes you for some reason, and I have to work.” Without waiting to get reprimanded by his little brother even more, Itachi hung up his phone and tossed it aside with a rough sigh, rubbing a hand against his temple. He already realized he was as low as it got, he didn't nee Sasuke to spell it out for him too.... OoO0OoO “Stupid.... fucking pain in my black ass....” Sasuke grumbled as he stepped off the elevator. In his rush to come over, the 20 year old hadn't bothered to even comb his hair. The back of it stuck up almost unrealistically, as it had when he was younger. It was a pain to deal with, but realizing what his brother had done, he'd gotten so upset that he'd gone into autopilot. Now that he was walking up to the apartment door, he was calmed down, and wondering why he even cared. Sure, Naruto had claimed him as a friend, but he didn't feel the same.... He barely knew the kid, right? He was an annoying, loud, disgustingly cheerful loser who was pretty dumb to boot... But he was fun.... Huffing and unlocking the door, Sasuke let himself into the apartment, heading straight for the hallway, and pounding on the door to the kids room. “Get your blond ass out of bed and stop masturbating, you loser!” Sasuke called out. He heard a thud almost immediately, and a bit of a commotion, before the door flew open. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, BASTARD!? I WASN'T.... DOING ANYTHING GROSS LIKE THAT!?” Regardless of what he said, Naruto was flustered, and blushing, clinging to the door as he stood there, dressed only in a pair of gaudy orange boxers. Smirking, Sasuke had only done it because he knew it would irritate Naruto so much he'd have to show his face. His smirk fell when the blond blinked, and stared at him for a good long while, and finally started laughing, right in his face. “What?! What the fuck is so funny?” Sasuke growled, shoving the door open wider and pushing into the dark room, past Naruto. “Y-Your hair! Gahahahahahaha! Ahahaha oh man your hair S-Sasuke! You look like you have a duck butt on your head!” Naruto replied, still laughing, and hard. Growling again and raking his fingers through his hair almost furiously, over and over, until it settled down a bit, the darker boy looked over with a sharp glare. “Oh shut up at least my hair doesn't stand straight up like some kind of weed, you blond idiot.” He snapped, pulling the blinds and curtains open. Looking out the window, Sasuke realized for the first time just how nice of a few Itachi's apartment had. New York in the fall was beautiful, if you could appreciate the rain, and dingy gray days. Which, the youngest Uchiha most definitely could. “Put some pants on, I don't wanna see your wiener flopping around, dobe.” He added, flopping down onto that awful frog beanbag chair. Only to pause, and blink. “What the...” He muttered quietly. “What?” Naruto asked when he heard the mumbled words from his closet, where he was doing just as Sasuke had said, getting somewhat dressed. “Nothing.” Sasuke said, turning the TV on and grabbing one of the controllers to the X Box that Itachi had gotten for Naruto. Chuck, the frog chair, was deceptively comfortable, and Sasuke sank down into it, with a slightly ashamed face. He wanted one for himself, but of course he'd never buy one, or admit it. Instead, he decided he could make himself come over and hang out with Naruto every so often, so that he could monopolize the ridiculous thing. “Go and get some snacks, dude. I'm starving.” He added. He had been planning on doing that himself, but now that he was settled... He didn't want to get up. “What? Are you gonna stay a while?” Naruto asked in surprise, walking over to look more directly at the guy who had been so adamant that he disliked the blond just a couple days earlier... Glowering a little, Sasuke sent his unimpressed look up at the other. Naruto looked dead tired. He probably hadn't slept the whole weekend either. The dark smudges under his eyes made it obvious. The bruise that had stained the side of the blonds face when he'd first come to Itachi was finally fading into a mottled yellow green, almost gone now, but it still lingered. It would probably be gone by the Gallery Opening. Sasuke had been curious about the bruises, and those odd scars on the boys face, but he wasn't about to ask, and have Naruto thinking he actually cared, or was interested. “Yeah you got a problem with that? I've got the day to myself and I don't feel like being home, since Sakura would just want me to do housework or something. Deal with it.” OoO0OoO Stalking quietly into Nagato's office, Itachi was incredibly tense, waiting for the secretary to wave him in to see his boss. The call for him to come up had been sudden, and it came just as he was getting ready to finally pack up and head home, at 7 that evening. Itachi had been under the impression that Pein was away on a business trip to Japan, to meet with a company they were going to be working closely with in the year to come. He hadn't been told that the president had returned yet. But then, that wasn't too surprising, considering Nagato came and went as he pleased. As was his prerogative. “You asked for me, Pein?” Itachi said tensely as he walked into the office. The last time he'd been in there, a week before, he'd received Naruto's contract. It was understandable that he'd be less than eager for what awaited him this time. “I did. Sit down, Itachi.” If anything, as Itachi settled into the leather chair across from his bosses, he became more tense. Crossing his legs, the dark haired CEO leaned back and folded his hands together, eyes leveled on the red haired man. Nagato simply watched him back, in a similar position. Honestly, he looked a bit odd, if you thought about it. Far too young in appearance to be accepted as a man in control of one of the most powerful international corporations in existence. His face was stippled with marks where Itachi knew metal piercings belongs, and his eyes were oddly pale. One would expect him to be blind, looking into that cloudy lilac tone. But no. Nagato had scarily perfect vision. “What do you want?” Itachi finally asked, breaking the silence irritably. Pein smirked a little at his tongue, eyes narrowing a little. “You've had your pet for over a week now. How is it going?” He asked in his usual near-emotionless tone. Itachi frowned more, almost glaring at his boss. Had they not known each other for such a long time, this would have been completely unacceptable. “How do you expect it to be going?” He asked, his tone insinuating something deeper, which the other man picked up on immediately. “So you know, then?” “Of course. You knew when you gave him to me that I would do my research on him. I want an explanation for all of this. What are you planning on doing with Naruto?” “I want Konoha.” The reply was offered up immediately, with no further prying, but immediately Itachi shot up to sit straight, his eyes wide. “W-What?” “I want Konoha Group.” Pein reiterated, turning his desk chair a bit, to look out the window. Out of his the skyscraper that was Akatsuki International, they could see that bright glowing leaf, that signified the Konoha Group's building. Itachi's former work place, and what seemed to be the bane of Peins existence. “That's impossible.” “No. We have Naruto now. Ever since Namikaze Minato died, it has been a constant struggle to find out who would inherit his company. Sarutobi did a damn good job of guarding the company according to Minato's wishes, and Tsunade so far has been as frigid to my offers as I've expected. They're determined to keep it under wraps until next October. His last Will and Testament, to be opened and read no sooner and no later than Uzumaki Naruto and Namikaze Kyuubi's 21st birthday. Isn't it amazing, both boys born on the same day, by different mothers? Twins in spirit and half blood... Having Naruto on our side brings us 50% closer to getting Konoha. And it's no secret that Kyuubi is more interested in his lavish lifestyle than owning the company. If he inherits, it'll be easy enough to convince him to sell it off.” Itachi was speechless, after listening to Pein indulge his desire to know what this was all about. He had known that Nagato would have something deeper up his sleeve... But this? “So... You plan on keeping Naruto around and.... Next October...” “October 10th, that is when I'll be able to tell you if you can finally throw your pet away, or if we'll be using him a bit longer. You don't mind, correct? It's not like you've already fallen in love with the boy, right?” The question was carefully worded, and directed in such a way that it was more of a statement than anything. While the contract said Naruto belonged to Itachi, Pein was the puppet master, and Itachi merely the case to hold his puppet. “Of course I haven't fallen in love with him. He's an annoying brat, loud and obnoxious, I barely sleep because of him.” Only one part of what he'd said had been a lie, but then, neither of the men would realize that for a long time.... “Good. Let's try to keep it that way.” “Pein... One more thing.” Itachi said, even as he stood to leave. There was something that had been bothering him for a while now. The silent look the man sent him told him to continue. “How did you know to move in on Naruto? Not even the newspapers know that he was on the streets.” Smiling just a little, Nagato leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes for a moment. “A little bird told me there was a very valuable puppy, wandering the streets alone. What kind of man would I be to let an innocent boy fall victim to New York?” Disgust settled over Itachi as the words reached him. Pein was a dangerous man, with dangerous intentions, and everything he did was for himself alone. He wanted revenge on Konoha Group, for his parents, and every part of his life had built up to this year. There was nothing selfless about what he'd done for Naruto. OoO0OoO Getting home at long last, Itachi felt more exhausted than he'd been in a long time. Slipping his shoes off as he came into his home, he wanted nothing more than to collapse into bed and sleep this all away. But there was still the matter of Naruto, and his inability to rest knowing the boy was so upset. The living room was dark, only the hood light over the stove was lit in the kitchen, casting a dim glow across the dining room. He could see light from Naruto's room, and with relief, he heard sound. Sound other than the tv. It was laughter, and yelling, bickering, and some thuds that were probably the two roughhousing. He'd noticed Sasuke's car in the parking garage, and his shoes in the foyer. Honestly, he owed his little brother for this one. Sasuke had been right, that morning on the phone. He had tried to blame the younger Uchiha for this, but he was the one that had done the deed. He hadn't tried hard enough to make this right again. Keeping the room dark, Itachi slipped into the kitchen, even as he stripped off his jacket and tie, unbuttoning his shirt. A glance around filled him with even more relief. The kitchen was a wreck. But that meant, at least, that Sasuke had gotten Naruto to eat finally. Pulling a bottle of water from the fridge and heading back into the living room, Itachi went to the large windows that lined the wall, looking out over the city. He wanted to open the door panel, and step out onto the balcony, but with how hard the wind was blown, sending the rain sideways against the glass, he settled for watching from behind. “You owe me, asshole.” Sasuke's voice came out of nowhere, making Itachi jump, lurching from his complex thoughts. He looked around almost frantically. “Relax, he isn't out here. He's passed out on his bed right now. Finally couldn't keep his eyes open. You aren't the only one who hasn't been sleeping.” Deflating a little and sighing, Itachi nodded. “Thank you. I do owe you for this. Though, it sounded like you guys were having fun.” He added slyly. Sasuke rolled his eyes and snatched the water bottle from his brothers hand, not caring that it already had a few drinks missing from it. “I was in Hell. All. Day. Not a single ounce of fun.” He said dourly, though Itachi didn't believe it for a second. “You better hurry up and pull your head out of your ass, and go talk to him. Just because he won't open the door doesn't mean you can't, dumb-ass.” Without another word, Sasuke turned and headed out of the apartment, not returning the bottle he'd stolen from Itachi, the door closing quietly behind him. He was right. This entire time, Itachi had been treating the door as a barrier between him and Naruto, rather than what it was. An entrance. Shaking his head, and pulling his hair from the ponytail it had been in for work, the CEO shook the dark strands out, trying to fix, in vain, the dent the hairband made by raking his fingers through the silk over and over, walking to the hallway. Sasuke had left the door slightly open when he'd left, revealing the dim illumination in Naruto's room. The tv was on, volume low, and casting slowly flashing lights against all of the walls. Pushing his way inside, the man grimaced a little at the mess that the two boys had accumulated that day, but knew that it could be dealt with later. Sasuke was right. Naruto was out cold, sprawled across the bed awkwardly, sheets only a little mussed. Sinking down onto the floor, Itachi sighed as his legs stretched out in front of him slowly, back curved as he rested his spine against the side of the bed frame. Closing his eyes, he relaxed, and simply listened.... Taking in the calming sound of Naruto breathing steadily, evenly. The rhythm of it nearly lulled him to the edge of sleep as well, but when it faltered, and drew into a sigh, Itachi pulled his eyes open, feeling the mattress shift behind him. “...'Tachi?” Came that beautiful, groggy voice. He hadn't heard Naruto call out his name, or say anything, for two days. Hearing it now made his heart squeeze tight, and surprising even himself, his eyes began to sting a bit, as though they were trying to water a little. “Yeah.... Naruto. It's me.” He said softly. The silence that followed was tense, and Itachi hung his head a little bit, drawing his legs up to hug them to his chest. “I know... That you're upset with me. I'm sorry it took me so long to come to you but.... I'm not.... Good at this.” He started quietly. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
