“Sasuke, you bastard!” The voice of one Inuzuka Kiba growled exiting the Hokage tower. “When I thought you could get no lower!” The Dog-Nin approached the traitor’s temporary hold and reached between the bars and pulled the Uchiha jerk forward, his face now into the moonlight. Sasuke was not amused, but just looked on all the same, what other crime could he have possibly committed now?
“Kiba.” Shino took a step forward and Kiba just growled.
“What kind of asshole takes advantage of a defenseless girl?” Kiba’s grip tightened on the Uchiha’s clothing his fangs bared like the wild dog he tends to emulate. “Do you not see what that act has created?!” Kiba growled and a light switch went off in the Uchiha male’s head as his eyes drifted back to the child.
“I had no part in the conception if that’s what you’re thinking.” Sasuke’s hand went to grab the Dog-Nin’s wrist.
“Bullshit! Kid has your face!” Sasuke smirked at the words thrown his way.
“Then I see you really have no smarts about you at all.” Sasuke just stared. “Basic Biology, a child isn’t required to resemble the immediate parents.” Kiba just stared before pushing Sasuke away like he was basic scum of the earth. “But you’ll learn that anyway as it appears this kid is gifted… and they’ll have me tested as soon as they realize this.” Sasuke looked at the woman now exited the Hokage Tower, led by Shizune, or rather supported by Shizune in the direction of the hospital.
“Momma…” The boy who had not once moved from his place kneeling, begging for Sasuke’s guidance, was now looking at the sickly exotic looking female. He could at least commend his brother for having different tastes rather than some plain Jane. It seems, though, this child is truly Itachi’s son, becoming aware of the Sharingan early in life, unfortunately before he even knows what kind of power he could have.
“Hey, Ichiro. You want to stay with me today?” Kiba approached the child and rubbed his head, which only provoked a smile from the child. “Let your mother rest and in the morning see how she’s feeling.”
“Okay.” Ichiro stood and looked at Sasuke, gave a quick smile his eyes having already depleted what little chakra the boy had, and it showed in the way he trudged back.
He now had all the more reason to have that boy killed, offspring from his brother. His brother who had mercilessly slaughtered all of the Uchiha clan was rebuilding it. Whether his brother knew about the child or not didn’t matter. How dare he even engage in the ritual of pleasure and reproduction? How dare he?
“Ichiro?!?” Hinata showed up on the scene a tad too slow the boy already disappeared with Kiba. “Oh! Naruto-Kun” Her finger touched her lip spying the neglected orange clad ninja. At once she blinked and she remembered why she had been rushing about.
“Oh, Hinata!”
“Oh, ha-have you seen a boy with white hair?” She blurted out, and then blushed at her haste.
“He left with Kiba.” Naruto looked at the female before him, sizing her up more like it. Her hair was longer than he remembered her hips wider, her waist smaller, and her chest… nice.
“Oh… I’m glad you got back safely.” She tucked some hair behind her ear.
‘Nothing really has changed.’ Sasuke scoffed watching the girl shift nervously. ‘Not a damn thing…”
“Oh yeah, it was tough…” Naruto started on some about the mission before stopping as she glanced to the side a slow smirk crossing her features as she rubbed her arm.
“Sounds hard… so there should be no reason you suck then.” She spoke softly, it was late for sure, but at this point who cared.
“What are you talking about? I’m stronger than ever!” He looked at her body language, all of her compact; hands clasped in front of her, her spine straight, feet together…was she nervous.
“I don’t believe it. I think the five years have taken away your edge.” She slowly unthreaded each finger from one another.
“What?!?” Naruto stomped one foot forward and stretched a finger forward.
“Jyuuken!” She struck him in the chest, nothing to cause pain, more to shock him. “Prove it!” She gave a smile hoping to veil her blush of joy and took off for the training grounds, where they had parted that day five years ago.
“So it’s like that…” Naruto smirked crookedly before he took off after her. “When I get you it will be the end for you Hyuuga!”

“Midori, are you sure you can handle this?” A boy dressed lazily in a kimono rested near the window to his room.
“Jiro, it would be too much for you to travel so far and without direction. I’ll bring her back here.”
“She won’t come back.” Jiro scoffed almost bitterly at the thought. “This village- this house was filled with poison for her. It threatened to smother her very fiber of being. Perhaps it is smothering us too.” Jiro sighed. “I want to see her so badly; I want to know if my niece or nephew made out okay. Did she fall in love elsewhere? It might take a long time, it might be impossible.”
“I said I’d go!” Midori slammed his hands on the floor.
“Jiro, lunch…” The bedroom door slid open and the air became thick with uneasiness as the woman entered the room. “I’ve some for you too Midori.”
“Thank you, Mizuka-San.” Midori bowed like a good boy and sat back up and looked at her. She wasn’t the same. Every time he looked at the woman he could see, she wasn’t the same.
He remembered trying to visit with Kanna that night hoping her punishment for whatever she had done the last time he stopped by had been lifted. But he barely made it do the house lit up with lanterns when he heard the irate woman. She won’t make it. She’ll come back BEGGING to be taken back in! All she knows is this village; she won’t survive a DAY out there! Running away? HA! Kanna had run away, and her mother was furious.
Some time later Midori discovered that Maia had expected the girl to return in the middle of the night, then deciding Kanna had gumption she’d changed expectations to the following day. Three days passed and she lowered expectations by the end of the week. A week and a half later and she finally agreed to have her husband start a search party for the pregnant girl, by then there was no point in hiding the girl was with a child from those who didn’t already know. Within a few months her picture was posted in neighboring villages, and eventually turned to across the country in hopes that at some point or other she would realize she was missed and would go home. When the first year went by something in the Mizuka wife had changed drastically, like perhaps a part of her died, but stubborn as she was she banned any talk of Kanna within the Mizuka household cursing the girl’s name. Every year after she eventually grew back to that prideful woman, but something changed in her for good.
“You boys be good.” Maia called closing the door. Once her light footsteps were heard descending the creaky stairs of the Mizuka household the boys resumed.
“I told you I’d go! I have nothing left, Jiro.” The boy’s eyes watered. “With Grandfather’s passing last fall, I have nothing else to do but become a warrior and hope to marry and continue my family name!”
“You have your life. As far as we’ve been educated, the Fire country is a hostile country with Shinobi left and right. And they are large, much larger than our country of Sea.” Jiro sighed for the millionth time.
“I said I’d do it.” Midori picked up if bowl of rice and began to eat. “Miss Tae of that village I told you about. She said she knew what boat she had taken. It’ll just take me a bit of searching each village in the Fire country.” Jiro remained quiet. “I’ll write. I know they have ways of delivering here.”
“Midori…”
“I’m leaving tonight, Jiro, and that’s that.”
*~*~*~*
The sun of a new day had already risen and was sitting high in the sky. Shizune had thought it be fit for the girl to be admitted into the hospital just to make sure she wasn’t truly ill. Fortunately no she wasn’t, besides some dehydration otherwise she was fine. They may need to give her psychiatric help for days like yesterday; when she felt as if she were losing her mind. Oh how would Ichiro feel knowing his mother was a crack up.
“Knock knock” The door opened and white hair poked through first with a small bouquet of flowers.
“Are you up yet?”
“I’m up!” The door opened revealing Hinata, the Dog-Nin and Ichiro.
“Hey you!” She smiled as she leaned over to kiss her son’s head.
“Are you okay?” He looked at her.
“I’m fine baby. These are pretty flowers.” She smiled softly.
“Will you go home soon?”
“Tomorrow.” She smiled. “We should put these in a vase with water.”
“I’ll find you a vase.” Hinata offered noticing the tension from her teammate and now from the mother on the bed. “Kiba wou-”
“I’ll help.” Ichiro said uncharacteristically bright. “We’ll be back!” Ichiro smiled at his mother and left with Hinata, almost as if the kid knew to intercede with her plans to separate the two since they were causing each other so much tension. “He needed to talk with her right? Did I read him right?” Ichiro looked at Hinata.
“Wh-what?” She looked at the child in mild confusion.
“He was upset yesterday.” Ichiro commented. “He seemed different when getting ready this morning. Like he was thinking about something that was making him mad.” Hinata looked down the hall at the open hospital door. “He needed to talk to her I think.”
“Maybe…” Hinata stopped at a station and proceeded to fill the vase with water.
“Hi…” Kanna glanced at Kiba who was looking out the window.
“Sleep well?”
“As well as I could have.” She continued to look at him before dropping her gaze to her hands and her eyes started to water as the room fell to awkward silence. The sounds of the birds outside chirped, the sound of the second hand on the clocked thundered, and the sound of her own breathing swallowed up both of those sounds before a soft sob broke even that.
“What are you crying for?” Everything in the Dog-Nin’s body tensed with uncertainty now that he noticed she was crying. He’ll take a kunai desiring his life over a crying female any day. “Why are you crying?!? Are you in pain? Did I say something stupid?” That last one he wasn’t sure of. Perhaps he had and didn’t realize it.
“I knew your view on me would be tainted!” She wailed; her sobs escalating in volume. “I knew telling you about that, about HIM would make you see me the way I do! I’m not pretty, I’m permanently scarred by person I can‘t readily identify!” She kept crying. “Sometimes I wish that maybe you never should have-”
“Don’t, finish that sentence.” Four words with a tone stern enough to knock her down a few pegs. “I don’t know what you want me to say, but all I’ve known is Mizuka Kanna, mother to Mizuka Ichiro, and a pretty righteous babe.” She gave a slight smile.
“Babe is an inappropriate word pertaining to me. You should have your eyes checked, or are you so much like a dog you’d appreciate all things female?”
“Are you kidding me? I been telling you for years you’re total MILF.” She could only smile at the fact he had gone back to being himself. Then the silence filled the room again.
“Then why haven’t you?” She pulled her knees to her chest.
“What?” She looked at him.
“Mom-I’d-like-to-Fu-”
“You would want more than a…” Somehow to a mom no matter the age it seemed wrong to say that to her.
“Than a fuck?” She sighed as he looked away, and pulled her knees tighter. “Yeah… I’d want more than a Fuck. It just seems I was robbed.” She swung her legs over the opposite side of the bed and sat upright her back now turned to him. “But, I suppose it’s really none of your concern.” The bitterness in her voice returned.
“Kanna I hadn’t meant it to-”
“Don’t worry a bout it.” She made her way to the door. “This isn’t the first time that memory has haunted me. For five years it has haunted me.” He looked at her back, even from there he could see her body language tighten up, protecting herself from that memory.
“And what about Ichiro?”
“Ichiro has nothing to do with those nightmares. He didn’t wish for that night to occur, he didn’t hurt me much. He was brought here by accident yes…” Her hand tightened on the doorknob. “But my heart is filled with nothing but love for my son.” She opened the door and went across the hall to the bathroom.
“MILF…” He shook his head at the word. Where had that come from? He knew for sure he was always fresh with her, but MILF?
“Do you think it was appropriate calling her that?” The voice of the Bug-Nin came from the doorway.
“You shouldn’t sneak around.”
“I wasn’t sneaking.” Shino looked at him. “You didn’t notice.”
“Sure, Sure. Don’t start sulking alright!”
“She is stronger and more fragile than it seems.” Shino sat down. “I came earlier. She asked me to do her a favor. We talked. While I wasn’t so crude I tried to reassure her she’s doing well. It seems her family neglected to explain a lot to her. It was on a need to know basis. She barely understood the concept of sex, and received a crash course and pop quiz in one go. Even then they let on nothing. Only when she left she met someone who explained it to her.”
“What?” Kiba looked at him.
“She endured and is raising her son quite nicely, but her personal relationships would fail quickly because as most men think like you. Flirt, sex, superficial gifts, sex and dates, and sex…”
“I’m not THAT bad!”
“I apologize, I was being kind. Cut out the flirting, gifts and dates.” Humor could be heard in Shi no‘s voice. “Dating her is like starting from the very beginning. While mature in all other things she’d most likely be very inexperienced with what her inner feelings are. Hinata would be more outgoing than she is with men.” Kiba shook his head.
“That’s not right…”
“At least you’re wise enough to know she needs so much more than just a quick screw as we Shinobi are prone to.”
“What do you mean “we” Shinobi! I may act like an animal but I know quality when I smell it and I’m anything but a quick screw.”
“Step away Shino the lightening will strike him, I don’t want you caught in that.” Kanna came back and Shino moved helping her back up. “Shino, I had a temporary melt down, I’m not sick.”
“It will settle better with me.”
“Momma!” Ichiro came back into the room the flowers forgotten and he had juice in his hands. “They had aloe juice in the vending machine. Hinata-Chan bought it, but I knew you’d like it!”
“Well open it up! I‘m thirsty!” Kanna smiled at her son, a genuine smile as they interacted and Kiba sat back watching a small smirk on his face.
She was weak and strong. Sad and happy. Brave and fearful. She was woman…and Kiba knew; no he thought he knew a long time ago that she was a female of good quality. She always put her son first, she remained silent when things turned inappropriate, and she just had to smile when things got awkward. She struggled, but managed to stay afloat. He thought he knew a long time ago that he had this girl figured out, and that whoever the bastard was that left her impregnated was some ass missing out on a quality woman. But somewhere inside he was apologizing to her, because the revelation from the night before indeed did taint the way he saw her.
What he thought he saw as an emotional but supportive woman he now looked at as fragile. He had allowed himself to fancy ideas, no, fantasies of taking her in the most vulgar ways, in random places because he thought he cared for the white haired female and after so long of holding back wasn’t he entitled? But in the end those vicious thoughts came back to bite him because in the end… had he taken the multitude of opportunities to do half of them, to her, he’d be no better than whichever Uchiha bastard that hurt her.
No he would never ever rape her, only weak men did things like that, but Kiba was far from a gentle lover. He couldn’t be that guy who whispered sweetly to a girl, he couldn’t do sappy dates, or bring gifts that would only be destroyed or returned when the relationship ended. And somehow he just knew he couldn’t be a romantic lover kissing every inch of flesh up and down,; tentative and watching and listening for every “ooh and ah” or “uh-uh“. He wasn’t that kind of man in everyday life, and perhaps it was the Shinobi life that fed into his rough around the edges personality.
She was a fragile rare flower, probably one made of glass. One that was shaped and molded to be this girl of “quality“. She’d been trained to serve her husband and family. Serve and obey it seemed, and from her story he realized he she wasn’t that type. She left hadn’t she? She was in pain probably a wreck and left. She left knowing she’d be thought the indecent young woman no matter where she went and she left. Held her head up and pretended to be made of some tough stuff when she really is made of glass.
“Have you graduated from your juvenile lust to have fallen for her?” Shino spoke up again and Kiba stared at his friend who was just watching the girls and the boy.
“No…” His gaze slid back to the girl whose smile looked so genuine right now. “She’s made of glass…wild things can’t be trusted to handle glass.”
